Josh Brolin apologized after sharing an Instagram photo that featured his family paying a social visit to his parents’ house. While everyone is clearly seen wearing masks, including Brolin’s father and step-mother Barbra Streisand, the Avengers actor was chastised by his fans for violating social distancing guidelines amid the COVID-19 pandemic. After deleting the photo, Brolin posted a video apology where he fully agrees that bringing his wife and young daughter over to his parents’ house was irresponsible, and he thanks his Instagram followers for their passionate responses.
According to Comic Book, Brolin was taking his daughter over to briefly see his parents’ pool (the Deadpool 2 actor doesn’t have one at his house) and not be near them. But he takes full responsibility in admitting that the plan fell apart leading to a longer visit, which is a struggle that parents who are trapped indoors with young kids and grandparents nearby can certainly relate to.
“You know, it’s hard to be honest sometimes,” he continued. “It’s hard to be honest and say, ‘maybe I screwed up’ and I knew that that was in the air, not because of the responses, but because the responses brought me back to my own truth and it’s humbling as hell, man.”
Brolin went on to say that he felt responsible to his “fellow man” and apologized, noting that it was more important to get through this even if that means going “overboard” with safety measures, a message that helped to explain just how serious he really is taking the pandemic before thanking followers for helping to remind him.
You can watch Brolin’s full video apology:
While Brolin deleted the photo from the visit, his step-mother Streisand hasn’t done the same. Although, her photo simply shows Brolin’s wife standing safely outdoors while holding an adorable message for the two grandparents, which is way less controversial than a full family gathering around the pool.

For the foreseeable future, tours and one-off concerts will reside on the backburner as a result of the coronavirus pandemic and its worldwide impact. With these tours and concerts nixed, many artists are reluctant to share their completed projects as touring serves as a very important piece of an album’s rollout.
Last month, Cardi B revealed that the lead single from her upcoming album had been delayed as a result of the virus. Kehlani also said her sophomore album would be pushed back from its original April 24 release date due to the virus during her recent Joe Budden Podcast appearance. While artists like The Weeknd, PartyNextDoor, and DVSN have shared quality projects after the widespread cancellation of tours, not everyone is so willing to do so.

Voicing his frustrations on Twitter, JID explained the struggles of attempting to release a project in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. JID is preparing the follow up to his 2018 album, DiCaprio 2, but has seemed to reach a roadblock in its rollout as he tweeted, “this sh*t no fun no mo.”
A fan responded to JID asking if new music was on the way and JID, with a bit of frustration, responded “man idk what to drop, this sh*t all weird now man.”

After a fan posed the idea of JID sharing “slutty rap tunes,” he revealed that the music itself was not the issue at hand, but rather the inability to tour and see his fans enjoy the new music. “Ok we do that, then what, no tour? Not getting to see u guys and celebrate, the content and intention of music is way more important now, I’m tryna line it up perfect cuz it’s hard to create is uncertain times,” he said.
With many artists certain that their best project to date is awaiting release, the question remains is it worth sharing with the world without being able to see the world enjoy it?

One day we’re all going to look back at 2020 as that curious year where a lot of television took place via the video-conference platform, Zoom, and it’s all going to feel very strange and out of place to our future selves. In the present, however, we are all beginning to adjust to watching celebrities talk to other celebrities from their living rooms for the entertainment of non-celebrities, who are also stuck in their own living rooms.
From this very bizarre time comes Friday Night In with the Morgans, a charming little AMC show that seeks to provide some comfort and familiarity to viewers, at least among those of us who are fans of two of the longest running shows on television, The Walking Dead and Supernatural. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is obviously a star of both shows, and on the first episode of Friday Night in with the Morgans, Morgan and his wife, Hilarie Burton, shared screens with Supernatural‘s Jensen Ackles and his wife, Danneel Ackles, as well as Christian Serratos, who plays Rosita on The Walking Dead (and was halfway through production on the first season of her Netflix series about Selena when the pandemic led to a pause). The Morgans also brought in their own personal physician, Dr. Sheragim Kemp.
It’s a comforting half-hour of television, if only because it allows us all to see some beloved celebrities from a different perspective: In their living rooms, as bored as many of the rest of us. They have more money, nicer houses, and a lot more land and little fear about their future financial security, but day-to-day, they battle the same issues trying to keep their kids preoccupied and keep themselves from going crazy. Morgan can at least tend to their farm, while Hilarie Burton is making masks for healthcare workers to keep busy. Serratos seems to be enjoying some great alcoholic beverages, but that’s probably true of most of us.
It’s a cozy series, highlighted by Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Hilarie Burton’s meet-cute story. In fact, it was JDM’s Supernatural co-star, Jensen Ackles, who introduced the two. Burton was staying with Ackles and his wife, and they all decided to go out to an Irish Pub for the night. “There we were, sitting, the three of us,” Ackles says. “And then I convinced [JDM] to come down the street and meet us for a drink.”
“[He] did, and [he] pulled up in his Harley, and we were sitting there in this front window,” Ackles continues. “And Hilarie sees this guy get off the bike in slow motion, take his helmet off and throw his hair. It was all very surreal, and [he] walked in, and [Hilarie and JDM] locked eyes, and that was pretty much the rest of the evening. And then Jeff, very smoothly says, ‘Why don’t you guys come over and check out my brand new pad.”
Ackles and his wife, Daneel, in fact, made a diorama of their first night together, which features JDM and Burton making out on top of a car. The art project, however, had to be blurred out for television.

Meanwhile, Christian Serratos and her husband, David Boyd, singer for the alt-rock band New Politics, are using their quarantine time to do couples therapy, and the two have gotten a lot out of it, according to Serratos.
Friday Night In with the Morgans airs Friday nights on AMC, at least for the time being. Returns dates for The Walking Dead and the final two episodes of Supernatural have not yet been announced.
