Last month, when Snoop Dogg said he was “giving up smoke,” some more skeptical commentators speculated that he was gearing up to announce some product designed to deliver THC alternatively, like a line of edibles or a drink. And while that turned out not to be the case, it didn’t take long for the international cannabis mascot to actually announce such a product — albeit with much less hoopla this time around.

Snoop’s new hemp-infused beverage line comes courtesy of Hill Beverage Co. and includes multiple flavors, with CBD-only, and versions with CBD, Delta-9, and THC. The drinks include Doggy Spritz in Cherry Limeade and Peaches N’ Honies flavors, and Do It Fluid in Blood Orange and Blue Razz flavors. Give that man points for consistency — and levels!

Snoop’s been expanding his portfolio a great deal lately, with the new sports comedy movie The Underdoggs coming to Amazon Prime Video early next year, his Funko store in Inglewood doing brisk business for the collector community, and his ongoing interest in NFTs and blockchain all looking to make up the deficit in streaming royalties.

But the high point of his year was undoubtedly getting to try a roasted marshmallow for the first time while shooting the commercial for the smokeless Solo Stove.

The 2024 music festival season is on track to revival this year. So far, Lollapalooza has announced their international installments (Chile, Brasil, India, and Argentina) of the event. Domestically, Bonnaroo, Solid Sound, Stagecoach, Sol Blume, and Dreamville Fest have already begun to roll their lineups. Now, all eyes are on the holdout like Governors Ball.

Who is headlining Governors Ball 2024?

As of today (December 19), organizers for the multi-day festival have not announced the lineup. Fans eager to iron out their plans for summer 2024 have been speculating who could appear. For the 2023 festivities, the headliners included Lizzo, Odesza, and Kendrick Lamar. These entertainers had released a new project at the time or were reentering mainstream popularity.

Keeping that in mind, festivalgoers are sharing their dream lineup online, which lists Peso Pluma, SZA, Nicki Minaj, and Travis Scott as potential headliners. Unfortunately, it will be a while until the official lineup for Governors Ball 2024 is made public. For now, supporters are just going to have to sit patient.

If this year’s festival could stand up despite the Canadian wildfire smoke aftermath, next year should be no problem.

NYC’s annual music festival, Governors Ball, will be returning during the summer of 2024. Typically held at Flushing Meadows Corona Park now, attendees who are interested in going might want to know exactly who is playing before buying tickets — or making the trek from another state.

Here’s what to know.

When Will The Governors Ball 2024 Lineup Come Out?

While it’s currently the holiday season, it also means that the release of the Gov Ball lineup is right around the corner. In both 2022 and 2023, the music festival unveiled it at some point in January, building anticipation and giving guests a few months to prepare.

So, right now, it is still unknown who exactly will be taking the festival stages. That hasn’t stopped speculation on Reddit, however, as users are trying to sleuth some of the lineup by using the radius clause — meaning who doesn’t have an NYC-based show.

Claire Rosinkranz is allegedly confirmed, as one user pointed out she has a Governors Ball Presents show that summer. Other potential acts include Bleachers, Chappell Roan, Tyla, Teezo Touchdown, Idles, Greta Van Fleet, and Inzo.

Others in the comments have also been hoping for Lorde, Jpegmafia, The Killers, and more. Red Hot Chili Peppers are also listed, but as an unlikely possibility — just not completely ruled out. To reiterate, though, this is all fan speculation.

Drake hosted a Kick.com livestream this past weekend (the one during which he got a hefty $0.20 tip from a viewer), and some think one moment from the broadcast was directed at Metro Boomin.

At one point, Drake said, “And to the rest of you… to the rest of you, the non-believers, the underachievers, the tweet-and-deleters, you guys make me sick to my stomach, fam. Honestly. If you guys… look in my eyes: You guys want to do something? You guys…? That’s what I thought. That’s what I thought. Mmhmm.”

Many saw this as a reference to a Metro Boomin tweet that he later deleted, which read, “yet [Drake and 21 Savage’s Her Loss] still keeps winning rap album of the year over [Metro Boomin’s Heroes & Villains]. proof that award shows are just politics and not for me. Idc about awards honestly, the true award and REWARD is knowing that the music I spend so much time on brings joy to peoples everyday lives.”

Did Metro Boomin respondo Drake’s alleged diss?

A Metro tweet from after Drake’s livestream is being interpreted by some as a response. He simply shared a 9-second clip from a popular RDCworld1 YouTube video called “BLACK SITCOM THEMES VS WHITE SITCOM THEMES,” in which a group of men laughingly tell another one off-camera to calm down and put his gun down.

A24 is in the “movies about extremely muscular people” business, and business is good. Ahead of the release of The Iron Claw, the indie studio released the trailer for Love Lies Bleeding. The film, directed by Rose Glass (Saint Maud), stars Kristen Stewart as a gym manager who falls for bodybuilder Jackie (played by Katy O’Brian), putting her in danger. Also, Ed Harris wears an insane wig and there’s shoot outs and sex scenes and blood.

This is the time of year when most artists starting winding down, taking the final days of the year off before looking forward to January and beyond. The Weeknd fans got a dose of excitement yesterday (December 18), though, when a new song popped up on The Weeknd’s Spotify artist page.

Is The Weeknd’s “Trust Issues” on streaming services?

Yesterday, “Trust Issues” made it onto Spotify, as HotNewHipHop notes. It’s a track fans know well, as it originally surfaced online back in 2011. The song is The Weeknd’s take on Drake’s “Trust Issues,” but with modified lyrics, so it’s sort of a cover and sort of a remix (the original upload was titled “Trust Issues (Remix).”

As soon as the song hit Spotify, some fans knew something was amiss. One listener who checked out the song’s credits tweeted, “This will be gone very fast, it looks like someone did that and it’s not approved by himself or the Label. – Label is called weeknd – No writer and producer – It would be called Trust Issues (Remix) – It would be out on other platforms.”

Indeed, it turns out the upload was not legitimate: The Weeknd retweeted a tweet that reads, “‘Trust Issues’ is NOT an official release! The Weeknd’s Spotify account was hacked and the hacker released the song ‘Trust Issues’.”

The song is no longer available on Spotify, or any other streaming platform in an official capacity, as of this post.

Last December, “My Heart Will Go On” singer Celine Dion shared a heartbreaking update about her health. Due to her stiff-person syndrome (SPS) diagnosis, Celine was forced to cancel her Courage World Tour. When Celine was spotted at Katy Perry’s Las Vegas residency in November, supporters hoped her condition had improved. Unfortunately, on Monday, December 18, a devasting update has been shared with the public.

According to E Online, Celine has reportedly lost control of her muscles. Based on The National Institute Of Health’s listed symptoms, this is one sad reality of those fighting the neurological condition. Celine’s sister, Claudette Dion, shared an update with 7 Jours.

“What pains me is that she has always been disciplined,” wrote Claudette. “She always worked hard. Mom always told him, ‘You’re going to do this right, you’re going to do this right.’ It’s certain that, in our dreams and in his, the idea is to return to the stage. In which state? I do not know. The vocal cords are muscles, and the heart is also a muscle. This is what comes to get me. Since it’s one case in millions, scientists didn’t do that much research because it didn’t affect many people.”

Since its inception, the show has been a steady fix of viral content. But when do new episodes of Cam’ron and Mase’s podcast come out? According to the official YouTube channel that hosts each episode, as well as the podcast’s Instagram page, It Is What It Is streams at 8 a.m. on Monday through Friday and on Sundays.

Based on Vibe’s reports, the podcast hosted by the duo alongside Treasure Wilson, inked an eight-figure deal with sports betting company Underdog Fantasy. The show has also landed Cam’ron and Mase on Complex Sports’ Top 25 Most Entertaining Sports Media Personalities list.

During an interview with the outlet, Cam’ron spoke about his rise in sports media. “People just like to hear me talk ’cause they know it’s really no filter when I talk,” he said. “So, I’m offered all types of podcasts daily, from being a host to being a guest. I argue when I am on the phone with my n****s, and by the time I look at the phone, it says two hours and seven minutes. I’ll be like, yo, I’m getting the f*ck off the phone with you… So you got people who debate all day about sports. So when I said, “I want to do this sh*t,” I was like, yo, “a professional setting with real n**** dialogue or barbershop talk or beauty salon.”
