Julia is also on the record as a huge fan of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and from Kim’s perspective, that a can only be a good thing. TMZ is reporting that sources near Kim revealed she’s relieved that Julia is a fan, and would rather deal with someone who comes from that angle than a hater. If the relationship does progress, and Julia is around the couple’s four kids, then it only makes co-parenting easier on everyone. Since Kim is busy heading out to the Bahamas with Pete, and hanging out in Palm Springs, it seems like she’s focused on herself and truly happy her ex has moved on.
Drake’s got a plethora of hobbies — collecting women’s bags, shooting hoops with NBA players, and even hitting the links with his uncle — but the one that’s undoubtedly cost him the most over the years is his penchant for sports gambling. In 2019, Future revealed that the two spent their whole joint tour gambling. Drake’s had his share of ups and downs but after Monday’s College Football National Championship, he owes Quavo big.
Quavo, who backed his home state Georgia Bulldogs, called out Drake, who bet on the Alabama Crimson Tide, on Instagram, joking that his Canadian compadre was ducking his calls after Georgia beat Alabama, 33-18. “He ain’t answer the phone,” said Quavo. “I need my chips with dip, baby. I need my chips with dip.” The two rappers had engaged in some cheerful trash talk before the game after Quavo posted a photo of them, warning Drake, “U kno why I’m here @champagnepapi we are locked in we are down.” Drake replied, “Run me my bread right after nice and slow no sudden movements.”
It looks like Drake is regretting that bet, but in actuality, you could say he’s really just paying Quavo back after Alabama beat Georgia in the National Basketball Championship a couple of years ago. He’s probably already hoping to get it back in this year’s tournament, so good luck to both Alabama and Georgia, because this is one rivalry that’s entertaining even without the drama on the field.
Pavement are currently plotting a highly anticipated, nearly sold-out reunion tour this summer, which is finally happening after their two-show 2020 return was canceled. Before they hit the road in June, though, Pavement have something special in store for fans who weren’t able to secure tickets to their tour: The veteran indie rockers are reissuing their 1999 album Twilight Terror in a really big way.
Pavement, along with their label Matador, has unveiled details for their massive Twilight Terror: Farewell Horizontal deluxe release, a 45-track effort that features 28 unreleased songs. It is compiled with remastered originals, B-sides, home demos, rehearsal tapes, era-appropriate live recordings, and even the rough tracks from Pavement’s session at Sonic Youth’s Echo Canyon studio. To celebrate the exciting announcement, the band also shared one of the previously unheard tracks, “Be The Hook,” which is now available on streaming platforms.

Lego is one of the most popular toy brands in the world, as the building blocks are not only a favorite of parents and children but of many adults who enjoy getting a box here and there as a collectible item. Since they’re so popular across many different ages it means that Lego has a large variety of sets to choose from and has licensing partnerships throughout the world of entertainment. We of course have our standard Lego blocks, but we also have Star Wars, Marvel, and numerous other officially licensed sets, including in the world of video games. Among the video games that have their own Lego sets is Overwatch which has a strong partnership with Lego to the point that Overwatch even has a dedicated page on the Lego website.
With Kotick remaining in his position, despite numerous allegations, companies like PlayStation and Xbox have hinted that this could harm future partnerships with the developer. However, while those statements were made internally, Lego has come out publicly and said that it is currently evaluating its partnership with Activision Blizzard due to its response to those workplace allegations. It has also delayed a set that was meant to coincide with the upcoming Overwatch 2. Via The Brick Fan:
We are currently reviewing our partnership with Activision Blizzard, given concerns about the progress being made to address continuing allegations regarding workplace culture, especially the treatment of female colleagues and creating a diverse and inclusive environment. While we complete the review, we will pause the release of a LEGO Overwatch 2 product which was due to go on sale on February 1, 2022.
With Activision Blizzard currently showing no signs of changing how it handled the allegations against it, and just plowing ahead, we wonder if more companies will soon follow suit and apply pressure themselves.

It’s officially a new year and musicians ushered in 2022 in their own way but now, pop artists are back with some fresh tunes to start off the new year right. The Weeknd released a brand-new album, Halsey shared a few more tracks from their recent era, and Maren Morris shifted into high gear on her latest single.
With very little warning, The Weeknd officially dropped his After Hours follow up, Dawn FM. For this new era of music, the singer adopted a look that ages him several decades, but the synth-pop songs themselves shows he’s created a futuristic sound twinged with disco nostalgia. His track “Sacrifice” is an upbeat preview of the album, featuring a groovy bassline and his signature soaring vocals.
Halsey — “People Disappear Here”
Last year, Halsey pivoted to a more alt-rock sound with their acclaimed album If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power. This week, the singer added two new tracks to a deluxe version of the LP. They describe their new song “People Disappear Here” as “moody ethereal goodness,” which is a pretty apt description of the powerful dark-pop anthem.
Maren Morris — “Circles Around This Town”
After becoming one of the most popular country stars with her 2019 album Girl, Maren Morris kicks off her new era of music with the new catchy tune, “Circles Around This Town.” The single has pretty much everything you’d want in a country pop song: Revved-up guitar, soaring vocals, and inspired lyrics about persevering. “‘Circles Around This Town’ is my story, so I felt like I truly got to relive my journey from Texas to Nashville again,” Morris said about the track.
Marina — “Pink Convertible”
Following up on her 2021 album Ancient Dreams In A Modern Land, Marina fired off a few more tracks for a deluxe version of the release. Her song “Pink Convertible” expands on the world she build for her album, featuring lyrics about the hypocrisy of fame and fortune over shimmering synths and eerie production.
Bonobo, Joji — “From You”
Rising star Joji teamed up with musician, producer, and DJ Bonobo for the lo-fi, vibe-heavy tune “From You.” The song marks the first new project from Joji since his acclaimed 2020 album Nectar and takes things in a slower direction than what we normally hear from the musician.
Ylona Garcia — “Entertain Me”
Australian-Filipino pop singer Ylona Garcia has already made a name for herself with a handful of singles and two high-profile appearances on reality TV shows, and this week she started off the new year right by dropping the addictive tune “Entertain Me.” Leaning on Garcia’s honeyed vocals and a catchy beat drop, the new single showcases the singer’s talent for crafting radio-ready hits.
Bennett — “When It’s Too Good”
This week saw another fun release from one to watch Bennett. “When It’s Too Good” is a catchy and sultry number that offers a place for Bennett to showcase her room-filling vocals over a snappy beat and gives a taste of her refined pop star attitude.
Ella Henderson — “Brave”
Ella Henderson has built up a sizeable following with her vulnerable and relatable music, and her new track “Brave” is no different. The inspiring single sees Henderson belting out heart-tugging lyrics about the importance of picking yourself up and dusting yourself off after an intense rough patch.
Teddy Swims — “911”
Vocal powerhouse and TikTok favorite Teddy Swims capped off 2021 with an EP full of holiday tunes, but now he’s ushering in the new year with a new groovy tune. Swims brings his slick energy to the forefront of his fiery single “911,” giving his fans another reason to dance with sparkling chords and funk-forward production.
Lexi Jayde – “Drunk Text Me”
Lexi Jayde teased her new single, “Drunk Text Me,” with a demo on TikTok in late November of last year. The song quickly went viral with over 1.2 million views, which led to nearly 90,000 pre-saves when the official single was announced. Now, the official single is out, co-produced by Alexander23 and adding additional depth Jayde’s raw lyrics. A song like this will certainly appeal to fans of Olivia Rodrigo. – Zac Gelfand

Lady Gaga (along with her faux Italian accent) gained acclaim for her portrayal of Patrizia Reggiani in Ridley Scott’s crime drama, House Of Gucci, and is expected to garner an Academy Award nomination. In order to do such a convincing portrayal of Maurizio Gucci’s wife, Lady Gaga has been open about her method acting approach, even staying in character for nearly two years in order to transform into Reggiani.
As filming wrapped on the film, Lady Gaga says she believes that she was ‘followed’ by Patrizia Reggiani, and felt a strange presence on the last day of filming. She told W magazine:
On the last day of filming, I was on the balcony of my apartment in Rome, and I was blasting Dean Martin singing “Mambo Italiano,” and I had a cigarette hanging out of my mouth. I was Patrizia. But I knew I had to say goodbye to her: Large swarms of flies kept following me around, and I truly began to believe that she had sent them. I was ready to let her go.
Patrizia notoriously disapproved of the film, and was reportedly “annoyed” that the popstar wouldn’t agree to meet with her before the production started.
In order to portray Patrizia, Lady Gaga went to great lengths to make her performance genuine, including trying over 50 different hairstyles to perfect the look, and hiring an on-set psychiatric nurse to ensure she wouldn’t push herself too hard. It clearly worked in her favor, as Gaga’s powerful performance gave us the most iconic line of 2021, which was reportedly ad-libbed: “Father, son, house of Gucci.”
(SPOILERS for Showtime’s Dexter revival will be found below.)
The Dexter: New Blood finale treaded new but very familiar ground. That is to say, we received a new generation’s answer to Dexter Morgan’s Dark Passenger, but the ending was not beloved by everyone. I felt torn on the outcome for multiple reasons, including how the finale felt rushed while throwing a season full of character development (on behalf of both the now-dead Dexter and Harrison) out the door. We also saw Batista surface to (sort-of) tie together the Bay Harbor Butcher aspect before evaporating, and yeah, let’s just say that the show tried to erase the lumberjack sins of yesteryear, and it worked up until the finale.
Still, I was thrilled to see TV’s most beloved serial killer resurface to show us what life has been like for a decade. This ending at least made more sense than the original, although I suspect that the outcome needs to “settle” and be reexamined at a later date. What matters at the moment is that Showtime’s announced that this revival (along with Yellowjackets) fueled a ton of Showtime signups. Furthermore, New Blood scored 3 million viewers on Sunday (while averaging 8 million weekly throughout the season) and became its most viewed-finale in eight years (bigger than Homeland and Shameless).
Also, Gary Levine appears to suggest that this really is the end of the line for Dexter:
“We’re thrilled by the overwhelming response from the millions of fans of DEXTER: NEW BLOOD these past 10 weeks,” said Gary Levine, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc. “Whether they loved the finale or couldn’t bear to see it end, we so appreciate their passion. Our deepest thanks to Michael, Clyde, Scott and Marcos for delivering a profoundly powerful conclusion to our beloved and extraordinary series.”
Granted, this arguably leaves the door open for some sort of Harrison-led spinoff down the line. He ended the series in the driver’s seat, both literally and figuratively, but until we hear further word, it sure sounds like Dexter will be left to Rot-In-Peace.
The ‘Dexter: New Blood’ season finale is currently streaming via Showtime.
The Philadelphia 76ers have won seven games in a row to climb back into fifth in the East at 23-16, as the Sixers have taken advantage of getting back healthy and a favorable section of their schedule.
During the winning streak, Joel Embiid has continued to be dominant, but the difference between his December dominance (winning Player of the Month despite an 8-6 record) and now is that he’s getting the help he needs from the rest of the team. With Ben Simmons still out and Tobias Harris having an inconsistent season as a shooter and scorer, the Sixers are reliant on some youngsters to step up in a big way. Aside from Seth Curry, who has been the second-best Sixer this season behind Embiid, Philly is asking a lot of Matisse Thybulle and Tyrese Maxey in terms of a minutes load.
While Thybulle is best known for his defensive prowess and Maxey is an on-ball driver and creator, with Joel Embiid commanding so much attention inside, anyone on the floor for the Sixers in the backcourt needs to be a willing shooter. In the past month, Embiid has had each of his young guards join him at the podium for postgame interviews and lovingly demanded they take more threes instead of being hesitant — with both obliging on the next night to Embiid’s delight.
After talking trash to Kevin Durant you Gotta love Joel Embiid talking trash to Sixers teammate Tyrese Maxey!
On Tuesday, Embiid was asked about seeing that response from his young teammates to his very direct leadership style, and it’s clear that he loves that they took his message to heart and didn’t take it personally that he was calling them out to do more.
“We’re extremely close. It’s never personal. Sometimes the best way to lead is – you’ve gotta call guys out. I expect them to do the same to me when I’m not doing my job.” pic.twitter.com/gT7l1txynK
It would be hard to watch this and not think of the pointed critiques Embiid has offered to Ben Simmons in the past, as it really does seem like this is how Embiid wants to challenge all of his teammates to be better. He is bluntly honest at almost all times, about his teammates, opponents, and himself, and this is his way of trying to free his teammates from the worry of missing shots by saying he wants them taking them with confidence every time they get a good look. It is both uplifting and a bit selfish, as Embiid notes he needs them to play like that to open space up for himself and for the betterment of the team, but it does have to be a bit freeing to know that your dominant center isn’t going to be mad you’re firing an open three because he’s demanding that you do it.
Gunna is only four days away from the release of his new album DS4EVERbut he’s already released the deluxe edition of the album with four new songs. Unlike many deluxe editions, rather than throwing the new tracks at the beginning or end of the album, he mixes them in, making for a fun sort of treasure hunt for fans.
“All The Money” has been inserted between “Private Island” and “Pushin P,” while “Push Start” makes an appearance between “Poochie Gown” and “Mop” featuring Young Thug. The remaining new songs are “Banking On Me” and “Occupation,” which features one of Gunna’s fellow YSL artists, Strick. You can check out the revamped tracklist below.
Gunna is clearly going all-in on his latest project after calling it the final entry into his Drip Season mixtape series. In addition to inviting new guest artists such as Chloe Bailey — who Gunna is rumored to be dating after they were recently seen holding hands –, he’s also released videos for the “Too Easy” remix featuring Future and Roddy Ricch and the revelatory “Livin Wild.”
And while the rollout for the album seems far from finished, it appears we’ll be seeing more of Gunna throughout 2022, with an appearance planned for Cordae’s upcoming album and an episode of the HBO Max wilderness show Chillin Island.
