2 Chainz’s co-owned Atlanta eatery Escobar Restaurant And Tapas has gotten the rapper into hot water yet again. The restaurant was previously shut down after violating coronavirus safety procedures. This time, 2 Chainz has managed to anger the family of a renowned drug lord. 2 Chainz faces a legal action over his restaurant’s use of Pablo Escobar’s name.

According to a report from XXL, the estate of Pablo Escobar, Escobar Inc., filed a lawsuit against 2 Chainz and his business partner Mychel “Snoop” Dillard. The lawsuit denotes the family’s quarrel over the unauthorized commercial use of Escobar’s name in the restaurant’s brand. The estate claims they have resister and trademarked Escobar’s name and the lawsuit accuses 2 Chainz and Dillard of infringing on their trademark rights.

The lawsuit also claims the restaurant causes confusion in their use of Escobar’s name and cites several menu items like Escobar Crab Cakes, Escobar Breakfast, Escobar Cobb, and The Columbian. XXL reports that Escobar Inc. seeks a hefty $10 million from the lawsuit as restitution for the money earned from Escobar’s title.

The lawsuit arrives only shortly after 2 Chainz’s restaurant reopened after being closed due to the pandemic. The rapper and his business partner had used the restaurant’s kitchen to prepare meals to donate to the homeless. 2 Chainz and Dillard were able to hand out over 120 charitable meals in just one day. The restaurant has since reopened for business, but the new lawsuit could hinder their future plans.

As uncertainty continues to hang over the reopening of movie theaters, forcing release dates to seemingly change every other week, each bit of news could spell a delay for highly anticipated blockbusters. In this case, will it affect Denis Villeneuve‘s upcoming reboot of Dune, which will reportedly be filming reshoots in August? The reshoots will take place in Hungary, and no delays are expected as of yet. Although, Deadline does report that even star Oscar Isaac thinks the reshoots are cutting it a little close.

“I saw some things cut together and it just looks amazing,” Oscar told Deadline in a video interview. “Denis [Villeneuve] is a real artist and it will be exciting to see it come together. It’s kind of wild that we’re doing some additional shooting a few months before it’s supposed to come out, but that happened with Star Wars as well.”

Considering Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker arrived in theaters to very mixed results, that might not the best analogy Isaac could have used. However, his comments echo that of Jason Momoa, who also stars in Dune and was blown away by the massive scale of the film even after coming off of Aquaman, which wasn’t some small, indie picture. Momoa also tossed in a Star Wars reference, which fortunately didn’t draw comparisons to Rise of Skywalker. Disaster averted.

“I can’t believe I had a scene with Javier Bardem!” Momoa gushed to Ellen DeGeneres back in April. “It’s a pretty massive film and I get to be this little — he’s kind of the Han Solo-esque of the group. He’s this rogue warrior who protects Timothée Chalamet (Paul Atreides) and serves Oscar Isaac.”

Dune hits theaters December 18, 2020.

The end of 2020 is going to be gigantic for the gaming world, as it will see Xbox and PlayStation launch their next-generation consoles with some big titles will be tied to those drops. The 2020 holiday season will also now feature the release of one of the most highly anticipated games of the year, as Cyberpunk 2077 has pushed its release date from September 17 to November 19.

CD Projekt Red made the announcement on the Cyberpunk official Twitter account, noting that while the game is done in terms of content, they have a lot of work to do to go through the world and clean out bugs and other potential glitches or issues that pop up. As such, they want to push the release back to ensure when the game releases it is ready to play in total and won’t be buggy.

It’s the latest game release to get pushed back, and while the release says nothing about the COVID-19 pandemic, one has to wonder if that played a role in making it more difficult to collaborate on sweeping through the game and finding and fixing bugs that led them to realize they’ll need two more months to ensure it’s ready to go.

They also note that some journalists have been granted access to the game to play through and give their impressions, and the developers are eager “and quite stressed” to hear back on opinions of the game. They are still planning on hosting Night City Wire on June 25 to give fans a deeper look at the game and what to expect when Cyberpunk 2077 does finally drop in November.

Australian indie group The Beths have a new album on the way: Jump Rope Gazers comes out on July 10. Usually, it’s normal for bands to head out on tour around the time they drop a fresh record. We’re not living through normal times, though, so like many other artists, The Beths had to delay touring plans during the pandemic. That said, The Beths are actually doing it: The band has announced they will be performing an honest-to-goodness concert next month.

This isn’t some sort of drive-in concert where even cars have to be six feet apart, either: They’ll be performing at Powerstation in Auckland, Australia, an indoor venue. The band’s Elizabeth Stokes wrote in the announcement, “Very surreal to say this: Auckland, we’re doing a gig. It’s July 11th, the day after our album comes out. I can’t tell you how much we are looking forward to playing a show and playing new songs. It’ll be pretty special, come and hang.”

Australia as a country has handled itself well during the pandemic, which makes a July concert there a real possibility. The country is apparently on course to “have largely eradicated the coronavirus” by July, according to an announcement from public health officials earlier this month.
