Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, And BTS Perform On The Special ‘Homefest’ Episode Of ‘The Late Late Show’

Last week, James Corden announced that The Late Late Show would be airing a special episode that was hosted from his garage. The Homefest edition of the show was envisioned as a way to lift people’s spirits during this coronavirus pandemic, and the episode was certainly a morale booster for pop music fans, as Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, and BTS all appeared.

Eilish and her brother Finneas (and a sleepy puppy in Eilish’s lap) sat at the piano in their Los Angeles home for a lovely and intimate rendition of “Everything I Wanted.” Elsewhere during the show, Dua Lipa video chatted in from London, and she, along with a number of her friends who videoed in from their homes, performed “Don’t Start Now.” BTS also made an appearance from a dance studio in South Korea, where they danced to and sang “Boy With Luv.” Also performing on the show were John Legend, Andrea Bocelli, and Ben Platt.

It wasn’t just music on the show, though. David Blaine virtually stopped by the show for some quarantine magic, while Will Ferrell offered suggestions for songs to sing while washing your hands.

Watch clips from the show above and below.

Coachella Let Blackpink Fans Know That The Group Is Featured In Their Upcoming Documentary

Everybody is dealing with the fallout from the spread of COVID-19 and the global pandemic of the Coronavirus in different ways. On the lighter side of things, the spectrum of grief includes fans mourning canceled shows and festivals, or just missing what already happened in the past. One such fanbase, the pretty vocal supporters of Korean pop group Blackpink, were discussing how much they wanted to turn back time to the act’s set at Coachella last year. Turns out, they’ll have an antidote soon.

Even though the fest is canceled this year, the company is still dropping a documentary about the cultural phenomenon they’ve built, Coachella: 20 Years In The Desert, on the same day it would’ve started this year if it wasn’t delayed due to the pandemic. Well, whoever runs the Coachella account on Twitter decided to let Blackpink fans know that the documentary would feature Blackpink. “Don’t be sad blinks,” the account wrote back in a quote tweet from a fan. “You can see them in the Coachella doc next Friday #couchella.”

Well, it’s not quite the same as seeing them at the festival itself, but knowing that set will be part of the event’s history has to help fans feel seen. Keep your eyes peeled for the documentary dropping in just a few days on Friday, April 10 at 12 PM PST.

Shaq Explained How He Ended Up On ‘Tiger King’ And That He Wasn’t Friends With Joe Exotic

The release of Netflix’s Tiger King documentary coinciding with everyone around the country beginning to practice social distancing amid the COVID-19 outbreak has made it a phenomenon here in the United States. The documentary, which details the insane goings on at Joe Exotic’s ranch in Oklahoma and how he ended up getting sentenced to 22 years in prison for a murder-for-hire plot (along with illegally selling tiger cubs) has captivated seemingly everyone.

There are movie stars posturing for the hopeful role of Joe Exotic in a feature film adaptation, not to mention a bit of a controversy over some music videos that feature Exotic lip-syncing over tracks recorded by someone else. There are also some celebrity cameos in the documentary as the likes of Shaquille O’Neal and The Undertaker pop up as having visited the ranch. Given everything that happens with Exotic and him being eventually sent to prison, Shaq decided to clarify how he ended up visiting the tigers on the ranch and why, once he learned what was happening there, he stopped going on The Big Podcast with Shaq.

“So we go in there, and it’s a beautiful place, and the character that was there was Exotic Joe,” Shaq said. “We’re there and I dropped some donations for the tigers’ foods and all that. We take pictures with tigers. We went back a couple times. Then we go back another time and we found out that he’s involved with all the stuff, and then, actually, I stopped going.

“I love tigers. I love white tigers,” O’Neal said. “I met this guy–not my friend. Don’t know him. Never had any business dealings with him, and I had no idea any of that stuff was going on.”

Shaq, who went to school at LSU, said he loved tigers and that’s what led him to making visits, but was quick to note that he has no business dealings with him and stopped going to the ranch once he learned of some of the things “Exotic Joe” was involved in — it makes this all more ridiculous and funny with Shaq calling him Exotic Joe.

Shaq having to clarify that he was not actually friends with a guy that runs a tiger ranch and was involved in a murder for hire plot would normally be an incredible story, but is pretty much par for the course in 2020.
