The 2024 Men’s NCAA Tournament gets underway across the country this week. There is a four-game appetizer in Dayton on Tuesday and Wednesday before the main event, complete with madness, begins in earnest on Thursday afternoon. Casual observers and die-hard fans will dive in at the same time, following their brackets and the general excitement in the event.

Still, there is another defined angle for evaluation over the next few weeks, and it comes through the lens of the 2024 NBA Draft. The consensus is that the 2024 class is not terribly inspiring in comparison to previous groups, especially when it comes to college prospects, but some players always leap up the board in March and there are plenty of prospects to monitor. We’re going to let you know which players you need to watch as the Tournament begins, and here, we look at the top prospects in the South Region.

1. Cody Williams, forward, Colorado
2. Kyle Filipowski, center, Duke
3. Rob Dillingham, guard, Kentucky
4. Reed Sheppard, guard, Kentucky
5. Jared McCain, guard, Duke

Welcome to the main event when it comes to draft prospects. Because of the arbitrary cut-off of five prospects in each region, we had to make some decisions here, but there is a plethora of pro-level talent. At present, four players in the region are widely projected as lottery picks, and the fifth, McCain, could easily get there by June. Williams is the brother of Oklahoma City Thunder standout Jalen Williams, and he is a tools-y wing with sky-high upside on an interesting Colorado team. Of note, Colorado is playing in Dayton, so there is a chance he won’t be in the tournament for all that long.

Sheppard won the USBWA Freshman of the Year award this week, and the Kentucky guard has been the model of absurd shooting efficiency this year. Scouts are split on his ultimate ceiling as a 6’2 combo guard, but Sheppard can definitely shoot and pass at a high level, and he has great hands defensively. Dillingham is arguably the most explosive pure scoring prospect in the entire class, and he has drawn comparisons to All-Star guards or players like Lou Williams as a potentially elite sixth man prospect. Either way, he would be a lottery pick this year, and Dillingham could skyrocket if he shows anything at all on defense.

Filipowski and McCain are operating with a talented Duke team and, along with UConn’s Donovan Clingan, Filipowski is a top returner as a sophomore. He has played at an elite level from a college production standpoint and, just as importantly for draft purposes, his defense has popped this year. McCain is a real shooting prospect, and he could do wonders for his stock with a big tournament to mitigate some of the concerns about his length.

Apple TV+’s new series The New Look tells the story of the fashion world during World War II. Equally as captivating as the lore of Coco Chanel and Christian Dior is the show’s soundtrack. Produced entirely by Jack Antonoff, The New Look‘s soundtrack features captivating covers with modern twists. The latest is a cover of “You Always Hurt The Ones You Love” by The Mills Brothers, sung beautifully by Bartees Strange.

On Bartees’ cover, he delivers soulful vocals, with soft, jazzy touches, taking the show’s soundtrack to a new level.

“You always hurt the one you love / The one you shouldn’t hurt at all / You always take the sweetest rose / And crush it till the petals fall,” he sings on the song’s chorus. The song is equally intriguing as it is heartbreaking, with Bartees telling a story of painful regret. Antonoff’s smooth, silky production also adds to the cover’s poignancy and storytelling elements.

It’s an honor to be the subject of a Jeopardy! clue, and it’s something that Taylor Swift has a lot of experience with. It’s no surprise that the pop star has been inspiring categories and clues for years, but it is a little surprising when these so-called smart people fail to answer correctly.

Swift was the subject of a clue during an episode of Jeopardy! last week, though the contestants were stumped. The clue, from the “Songs of Youth” category read, “Inspired by her bestie, Tay Tay sang when ‘Somebody tells you they love you’ at this title age, ‘You’re gonna believe them.”

The lyrics are obviously to Swift’s 2008 soft country track “Fifteen” about moving on from dating football players (timely!) but the contestants failed to answer correctly. “What’s ‘Seventeen?’” contestant Troy Meyer replied, while Yogeth Raut guessed “What’s Twenty-Two’” which is the title of a different Taylor Swift song, so at least that part was right.

Ken Jennings had to eventually read the correct answer, “What is ‘Fifteen.” Meyer responded, “We’re gonna get killed for that.” And he was right! Cue the several thousand fans who now insist they are smarter than the Jeopardy! contestants.

We now know that Jeopardy fans are not as informed as swifties, but are they smarter than a fifth grader? We’ll have to wait and see about that.

For years, there have been whispers about the dark underbelly of hit Nickelodeon series like The Amanda Show, Drake & Josh, iCarly, and Zoey 101. At the center of those series is prolific producer Dan Schneider, whose behind-the-scenes behavior has now been laid bare in the explosive docuseries, Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV. The four-part series also investigates the sexual assault of Nickelodeon star Drake Bell by Brian Peck, who was a dialect coach and frequent fixture on several kids programs across the whole industry.

After originally airing on ID, Quiet on Set has already prompted a public reaction from Schneider. In a 19 minute video, he confirmed some claims and apologized for his “obnoxious” behavior. He also revealed that he came to Bell’s aid after learning of the assault by Peck, who Schneider denies hiring. According to Schneider, he helped Bell’s mother write a statement before the trial, and Peck was ultimately convicted.

Back when Big Little Lies first arrived in 2017, the show was intended as a limited series to adapt Liane Moriarty’s book while uniting five actresses of prominent stature on one set. Of course, the HBO show from David E. Kelley was a hit, and from there, pressure for a second season began, and somehow, the lies increased in size while adding Meryl Streep as a nightmare mother-in-law. The second season was arguably even better than the first, at least until the (again presumed) series finale when the Monterey Five turned themselves into police as being involved in the death of Celeste’s abusive spouse, Perry.

Well, there might be more. Yes, yes, there has been chatter about this for a few months, and that includes talk of Kidman and Reese Witherspoon testing the waters of their audience and Laura Dern suggesting that behind-the-scenes maneuvering was a foot. HBO/Max head honcho Casey Bloys also relayed how he knows “a little bit about the idea. I think it could be great,” but he then admitted the scheduling everyone in the same place was a potential issue.

However, Kidman is now insisting that this third track needs to be thrown down because her daughter made a fine point about Celeste’s unresolved story, via The Hollywood Reporter:

“My daughter is the one who watched both of the [seasons] and went, ‘OK, there’s just no question, there has to be a third,’” Kidman explained. “She’s like, ‘Celeste, she’s not coping in the second one, what is she doing? I could kind of see the point of view of Mary Louise.’”

Alright, now we need Zoe Kravitz and Shailene Woodley to weigh in as well, and then we can move onto looking forward to another righteous meltdown and hopefully someone to pull Adam Scott’s character out of his nightmare of a marriage. We can hope, at least. Fingers crossed for more updates soon.

Following her appearance at the Super Bowl, where she joked about looking like a “one of those super expensive silicone real sex dolls you can only get in japan,” Megan Fox discussed her history with plastic surgery on the Call Her Daddy podcast.

“My boobs have been fake since I was 21 or 22. I got them done in between the first and second Transformers. But I had them done conservatively,” she said, according to the Daily Mail. “Because back then everyone did the work, but you had to do work that was undetectable.”

Fox, who is “very afraid of dying under general anaesthesia,” described herself as “that little girl that was in the mirror like, ‘Where are my boobies?’ I always wanted big boobies. So I wasn’t happy with the first set. I had them redone after I was done breastfeeding my kids because I don’t know where they went, but they went. Then I had to have them redone very recently because the first set I didn’t have enough body fat to disguise — you could see the rippling thing of the implants. I don’t like surgery — my body doesn’t react well to general anesthesia — and so when I go to have a surgery, it’s a very big deal.”

The Jennifer’s Body actress asked the doctor for the “biggest boobs you can fit in my body.” She’s now up to size 32D, “which is not that big, they just look big on my body because my body’s tiny… I wanted t*tties. I don’t care what’s on trend, give me 1990 stripper t*tties. And he did it.”

Fox has never had a facelift or Brazilian butt lift, or buccal fat removal because “I’m a very like lean person that doesn’t have enough body fat or fat in my face so I will only ever put fat in.”
