Halsey And Evanescence’s Amy Lee Team Up For The Moody ‘Hand That Feeds’ From The ‘Ballerina’ Soundtrack

It’s been quite the week for Evanescence’s Amy Lee.

“Bring Me To Life” played a crucial role in the latest episode of Nathan Fielder’s brilliant HBO series The Rehearsal, and now she has a new song out with Halsey. The angsty “Hand That Feeds” is part of the soundtrack for the John Wick spin-off movie From The World Of John Wick: Ballerina, and it’s a fine showcase for both of their soaring voices.

“Hand That Feeds” is dream come true for Halsey, a huge Evanescence fan since childhood. When promoting 2024’s The Great Impersonator, the “Safeword” singer dressed up as 18 of their favorite music icons, including “my OG dark rock queen” Lee on the Fallen album cover. Before “Hand That Feeds” came out, Halsey admitted that they were “freaking out about it.”

Here’s more on From The World Of John Wick: Ballerina (out June 6), which stars Ana de Armas, Anjelica Huston, Gabriel Byrne, the late Lance Reddick, Norman Reedus, Ian McShane, and Keanu Reeves:

“Taking place during the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, the film follows Eve Macarro (Ana de Armas) who is beginning her training in the assassin traditions of the Ruska Roma.”

Usher Apologizes To Sabrina Carpenter’s Dad After Their Sultry Met Gala Antics

Over the past year-plus, Usher and Sabrina Carpenter have been the king and queen when it comes to spicy on-stage antics: Usher seductively serenades people at his Las Vegas residency, while Carpenter strikes risqué poses while performing “Juno.” These two forces had to meet eventually, and they did at the Met Gala, where Usher suggestively fed Carpenter a cherry.

Carpenter’s father had some feelings about the situation: Carpenter shared an image dump on Instagram and one of them was a screenshot of a text from him, sharing a photo of the fateful feeding and writing, “? Weird.” Usher himself took to the comments to apologize, writing, “Apologies Mr Carpenter [laughing emoji][cherry emoji].”

Meanwhile, Carpenter explained why she opted to go with a no-pants look for her Met Gala outfit, saying in a blue-carpet interview, “This is Louis Vuitton, and I’m such a massive fan of Pharrell’s and have been to the show. And I was just like, ‘If I could go this year with him, that would be my dream,’ and it came true. And he was like, ‘You’re quite short, so no pants for you.’ So here we are! Here we are!” She was also completely unbothered by critics of the fit.

Tyla Has Found ‘Bliss’ On Her Loving New Single

Tyla might have a rap song on the way someday. Well, that day is not today (May 9), but she did some through with a smooth, fresh track, “Bliss.”

Tyla has found something good as she sings, “Take me out my mind / Take me out my mind / You take me to bliss / Never felt a love like this / Never found it, never found it.”

She also recently debuted a ($22) Erewhon smoothie named after the song. The product page describes, “Bliss by Tyla is a signature smoothie from Erewhon’s Tonic Bar, crafted with MALK Organic Coconut Milk and Vita Coco Farmer’s Organic Coconut Water. This vibrant blend includes organic hibiscus tea, mango, and pineapple, enhanced with vanilla collagen and dragonfruit coconut cream. Certified organic ingredients ensure purity and quality.”

In a recent interview, Tyla said of her music, “I’m excited to show people that I’m more diverse than they think. I want to take my time with my artistry and give whatever feels right for that moment. […] Every day I can be in the studio, I’m there. I’m working on the new project currently. I’m super excited because even though I love my debut album, I feel like a totally different person. Everything that has happened forced me to grow very fast. I’m also the type of person that gets bored very easily. So I’m excited to see this new version of me and hear what it sounds like and just have fun with it — just bring back fun in music.”

Teezo Touchdown Makes The ABCs Sound Sexy On Amelia Moore’s Playful ‘Spelling Bee’

Burgeoning Georgia-born and LA-based singer-songwriter Amelia Moore kicked off the next chapter of her career with her March single “F*ck Marry Kill,” and today, she returns for a second pass at making a well-known game sound sexy, tagging in Texas crooner Teezo Touchdown for an assist. Moore’s new single, “Spelling Bee,” is packed with raunchy come-ons, but rather than letting the lewd lyrics languish, she puts a playful twist on them and, you guessed it, spells them out instead. The song appears on Moore’s newly released EP, He’s Still Just Not That Into You!

“How would you use sex in a sentence?” she wonders in the second verse, answering with the randy chorus. “F-*-C-K me in the B-E-D of the GMC,” she demands. “So W-E-T when you B-E-G for my L-O-V-E.”

Teezo keeps the pattern going, joking, “You was like, ‘L-O-L,’ I was like ‘W-Y-D?’ / You said, ‘I’m at JFK,’ so I had to send a SUV.” Meanwhile, the video finds the duo in a junkyard, where Moore writes out the lyrics on the windshield of a future wreck.

Teezo’s become a bit of a go-to guy for artists looking to add some flair to their projects, whether that’s Doechii putting him in her “Denial Is A River” video, Latto throwing him on the tracklist for Sugar Honey Iced Tea, or Don Toliver inviting him on the Psycho Tour last year.

Kali Uchis’ Dreamy ‘All I Can Say’ Video Is A Romantic Fantasy

Kali Uchis’ new album, Sincerely, has arrived. After sharing the singles “Sunshine And Rain…” and “ILYSMIH,” she accompanies the release with the video for “All I Can Say,” a smooth throwback tune referencing Chicano Oldies culture. The doo-wop instrumental offers the perfect backdrop for Kali’s romantic swooning, and the dreamy black-and-white video finds her floating along through a string of romance tropes, from picking the petals from a rose to traipsing through an elegant ballroom dance.

Prior to the announcement of Sincerely, Kali told 10 Magazine that the project was inspired by a “life-altering event.” “The album is about the complexities of life and finding ways to find joy in life despite the world,” she elaborated. “Finding ways to appreciate every moment and not take life for granted. Treat every day special. It’s my most existential and honest work. It’s definitely the most beautiful body of work to me, and it’s going to be, for me, the most meaningful and impactful.”

“Listening back to the album after my life-altering event, I was able to hear so many things in the lyricism that fully encapsulate the way that I feel now,” she continued. “In a strange way, it’s like my soul and spirit were able to predict what was coming next. I’ve been able to heal myself through this album in a lot of ways. But I never knew that I was creating it for that purpose.”

Russ Gets Away From It All In His Idyllic ‘Crazy’ Video

Despite its title, former Uproxx cover star Russ’ latest video, “Crazy,” captures a laid-back vibe, following the Atlanta-based rapper on an international vacation with his lady. The duo dances on a yacht, swims in a luxurious swimming pool overlooking an ocean view, and take over a romantic restaurant so they can have a table all to themselves.

In the song itself, Russ details all the things his does for his lady love, joking that he’s made her “irrational” with his reckless spending. “She don’t want me helpin’ with the bill, I say that’s admirable / She don’t leave the house unless she travel international / I done spoiled her so much, it’s my fault she’s irrational / Purses, yachts, and villas, what the f*ck is bein’ practical?”

“Crazy” is the fourth single from Russ’ upcoming album, Wild, which is due for release in June. It follows “Movin,” “April 7,” and “Pent Up In A Penthouse,” as well as the announcement of his accompanying Into The Wild tour with Big Sean and Sabrina Claudio. In a post, he explained the album’s title, writing, “The title ‘W!ld’ represents my evolved perspective on life’s inherent unpredictability and the transitional phase between resisting life’s challenges and embracing them.”

Miley Cyrus Bids Farewell To Love In Her Campy ‘More To Lose’ Video

During a listening event for her new album, Something Beautiful, Miley Cyrus called it her “gayest” album yet. And while it remains to be seen and heard just what she means by that, the video for her latest single, “More To Lose,” is sure to earn her a bit more “queer icon” credit with its campy but confidently vulnerable visuals.

Shot in cinematic black-and-white, the video focuses on Miley performing the wistful song in a variety of (probably) colorful costumes, including a crystal-and-feather-encrusted bodysuit, a shimmering bodice gown, and a severe black suit with a stocking mask. Her smoky vocals cut clearly through the psych-rock instrumental, and the lyrics tell of a collapsing relationship that, upon reflection, wasn’t all that to begin with.

Prior to the release of Something Beautiful, Cyrus has also released videos for the title track and “End Of The World,” both of which also teased a romantic but slightly maudlin theme for the album. We’ll see if that translates to Miley’s promise of her “gayest” one yet, but it’s definitely got a moody, cinematic quality so far, perfect for long night drives and tear-blurred sunrises.

You can watch the video for “More To Lose” above.

Something Beautiful is out 5/30 via Columbia Records. Find more information here.

Kid Cudi Takes A Trip To ‘Neverland’ In His Folksy New Single

Back in 2015, Kid Cudi took his first major swing at a rock-influenced album with Speedin’ Bullet 2 Heaven. He returns to that creative well on his latest single, “Neverland,” which borrows folk elements and pairs them with pop rock for an introspective singalong that finds Cudi crooning to his partner, “Sailing to our neverland / We’ll never die, you and I / Chasing something that’ll last / We’ll never die, you and I.”

“Neverland” is billed as the first single from Cudi’s upcoming album, which he’s teased for a fall release — although that might have meant fall of last year. A fall 2025 would give it about 18 months since his last album, February 2024’s Insano. “Im so hype,” he wrote on Twitter last August (never calling it “X,” get serious). “I got my next album finished and I really cant wait for yall to get a taste. Maybe this Fall?”

He also shared a fascinating bit of numerology for the album, writing, “My psychic said 13 was a lucky number for me. And this is my 13th album. I can honestly say ur faces will melt and ur hearts will be filled w happiness. im not slowin down anytime soon. Im inspired. Turnin 40 flipped a switch in my mind and heart. The focus is crazy. Lets see whatelse I can accomplish w this magic.” Incidentally, that was one of his last tweets, as he decided to give social media a rest.

The Weeknd Adds A Fiery Doechii To His Timely Remix Of ‘Timeless’

With his film, Hurry Up Tomorrow, just a week away from release, there’s no better time for The Weeknd to update one of the songs from the album for which the film is named. And if you’re going to drop a remix of a fan-favorite track in 2025, there is no better guest artist to add than the skyrocketing Doechii. That’s how we got The Weeknd’s “Timeless (Remix)” featuring Doechii.

Doechii’s verse adds a shot of adrenaline to the lilting Playboi Carti collab, as she contributes her own boastful, self-affirming assertions, mirroring Carti’s. “I been legit since I came out the swamp,” she declares. “Miss TPA and the Birkin’s a croc.” Her point is made clear; nobody is having a better year than Doechii — except, perhaps, for her various sponsors. “Top Dawg cashin’ out Doechii stock,” she jibes. “Pull up to the pgLang on the dot.”

It’s true; Doechii’s having a hot year, carrying over the momentum from her 2024 breakout and the release of her debut mixtape. She made her Met Gala debut to widespread praise, her old song “Anxiety” resurfaced with a vengeance, soundtracking movie trailers and hundreds of TikToks, and as mentioned earlier, she’s become an in-demand feature artist, previously teaming up with Westside Gunn for a remix of his gritty banger, “Egypt.”

You can listen to the “Timeless” remix above.
