Jimmy Fallon should be considered a rom-com expert due to his role in the 2005 sports epic Fever Pitch, but for some reason, he continues to be a late-night host. But he knows a hit when he sees it, and that’s why he asked Sydney Sweeney if there is any potential for an Anyone But You sequel.

Sweeney starred alongside Glen Powell in the flick, which hit theaters in December and ended up making over $170 million worldwide, which is a rare accomplishment for a rom-com (Fever Pitch made $50 million, for reference) Because of its success, Fallon asked Sweeney on The Tonight Show if fans could expect a sequel, and it does sound promising. “Maybe like, a high nine chance,” Sweeney said with a laugh. Fallon rejoiced! He loves his little funny movies.

Sweeney also shared that she and costar Joe Davidson would sneak into theaters to surprise moviegoers. “I was filming in Australia while this has been in theaters, and Joe, who plays Beau, he and I would sneak into theaters and surprise people,” she recalled. Fallon asked, “Did they freak out?” and Sweeney revealed that it was a little anticlimactic.

“No, at first they didn’t know what was going on. They were like, ‘What?’ Everyone was dead silent. We’re standing up in the front with a microphone, we’re like, ‘This is not working,’” she laughed. To be fair, it’s extremely hard to see who is in front of you when you are in a pitch-black movie theater. Unless you are seeing Fever Pitch!

At this point, we will likely get a sequel to Anyone But You before we get a third season of Euporhia. More like Anyone But YouPhoria, right? Right?!!

If we learned anything from Reneé Rapp‘s press run for the 2024 movie-musical adaptation of Mean Girls, it’s that she doesn’t hold back. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Rapp opened up about the inspirations behind her music, her anxiety around acting, and more.

During the conversation, Rapp was asked about a controversial line in the 2024 iteration of Mean Girls. However, Rapp said she does not remember this particular moment, and noted that she and her “Not My Fault” collaborator Megan Thee Stallion were a bit toasty during the premiere.

“I feel like I’m the only person in the world who didn’t see this and who doesn’t know what we’re talking about,” Rapp said. “And I think it’s because I was fairly drunk at the premiere and that was the only time I ever watched the movie. Because I don’t like watching stuff that I’m in because it freaks me out. It was me and Megan [Thee Stallion], next to each other, and I was like, ‘I’m so anxious.’ I immediately got into the theater, changed out of my little dress, put on a comfier one, sat down in the back. I was like, ‘We need two bottles of champagne.’ I was violently hungover the next day. I must have had a great time. I remember seeing myself and being like, ‘My eyeliner looks amazing.’ And that’s all I recall.

Though Rapp has said she is primarily focusing on music as opposed to acting, she will appear in the upcoming third season of The Sex Lives Of College Girls, this time, as a supporting character and not a series regular.

Last August, film nerd favorite indie distributor A24 announced it had acquired the rights to re-release the Talking Heads concert film, Stop Making Sense. Then, early this year, A24 revealed that a tribute album to the film — and the works of the quirky, inventive band’s expansive discography — called Everyone’s Getting Involved: A Tribute To Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense was in the works (with a suitably David Byrne-ish title, no less). After sharing Paramore’s cover of “Burning Down The House” last month, the next release from the tribute is Teezo Touchdown’s cover of “Making Flippy Floppy.”

The Texas artist is a fitting choice, as his own music refuses categorization or simplification. An album cut from the Heads’ 1983 album Speaking In Tongues, “Making Flippy Floppy” is perhaps less well-known than tracks like “Once In A Lifetime” or “This Must Be the Place,” but its funky bassline and elastic groove translate well in Teezo’s hands. While it’s a relatively straightforward cover that doesn’t try to get too cheeky or experimental, Teezo’s enthusiasm for the material is clear in his full-throated delivery of each line.

Everyone’s Getting Involved: A Tribute To Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense will mirror the original soundtrack album’s tracklist, with contributions from BADBADNOTGOOD, Blondshell, The Cavemen, Chicano Batman Feat. When Will ‘Masters of the Air’ Season 1, Episode 7 Come Out On Apple TV?

Keeping with the show’s Friday release schedule, Masters of the Air Episode 7 will arrive March 1 on Apple TV+. You can also catch up with the rest of the season as all previous episodes are available to stream.

Here’s the official synopsis:

“Masters of the Air” follows the men of the 100th Bomb Group (the “Bloody Hundredth”) as they conduct perilous bombing raids over Nazi Germany and grapple with the frigid conditions, lack of oxygen and sheer terror of combat conducted at 25,000 feet in the air. Portraying the psychological and emotional price paid by these young men as they helped destroy the horror of Hitler’s Third Reich, is at the heart of “Masters of the Air.” Some were shot down and captured; some were wounded or killed. And some were lucky enough to make it home. Regardless of individual fate, a toll was exacted on them all.

The third season of Abbott Elementary is in full swing, and the gang is definitely making up for lost time. After a time jump at the beginning of the season, we saw Janine (played by Quinta Brunson) in a new role at the district, but she’s still keeping her eye on the folks at Abbott.

TikToker/comedian Sabrina Brier appeared in episode four as a Zillennial substitute teacher, while the crew had to intervene with a student who was caught smoking. Obviously, this did not go over well.

Even though season three just began, the show was already renewed for a fourth season, so you can take comfort in the fact that these guys aren’t going anywhere. Abbott Elementary season 3, episode 5 airs on Wednesday, February 28 at 9:00 p.m. EST on ABC. Just like previous episodes, it will be available on Hulu on Thursday.

Brunson, who won an Emmy for her role on the show, teased that season three will show a new side to Janine. “Her hair is different. She’s dressing different. We see immediately what kind of growth has happened for her in the past five months,” Brunson recently told Variety, “From what I’ve seen online or from people I’ve talked to, they have no idea. They’re not guessing what happens. And for people who have seen it already, there’s alarm on their faces.” Luckily, they got those students to stop smoking!

Rebecca Ferguson kicked off a wave of speculation this week as the Dune: Part Two actress revealed that she was once screamed at by an “absolute idiot” of co-star before telling them off.

Ferguson shared the anecdote on the latest episode of the Reign with Josh Smith podcast where she made it very clear out of the gate that the culprit was not Tom Cruise or Hugh Jackman. However, outside of revealing that incident took place in the last 10 or 12 years, Ferguson did not name the actor who berated her.

“This human being was being so insecure and angry because this person couldn’t get the scenes out,” Ferguson said via The Daily Beast. “But because this person was number one on the call sheet, there was no safety net for me.”

Once she realized that no one on set was going to stand up for her—“No one had my back,” she said—she started to cry, after which she was berated further, according to her retelling of the incident. “This person would literally look at me in front of the whole crew and say ‘You call yourself an actor? This is what I have to work with? What the fuck is this?’ And I stood there just breaking.”

Finally, Ferguson had enough and took action.

“The next day I walked on and I said, ‘You get off my set,’” Ferguson told Smith. “It was the first time I’d ever spoken [back to that person]. I was so scared. And I looked at this person and said ‘You can f*ck off.’”

However, the producers couldn’t send away their “number one” so Ferguson came up with a solution. “The person can turn around and I can act to the back [of their] head. And I did.”

Naturally, the internet went wild trying to figure out the actor who screamed at Ferguson, and so far, the list includes Hugh Grant, Michael Fassbender, Jake Gyllenhaal, Ryan Reynolds, Ewan McGregor, and Chris Hemsworth. The Rock‘s name was also in the mix thanks to working with Ferguson on Hercules. However, The Rock made it very clear that it wasn’t him, and he’d sure like to get his hands on whoever it was.

“Hate seeing this but love seeing her stand up to bullshit,” The Rock wrote on Twitter. “Rebecca was my guardian angel sent from heaven on set. I love that woman. I’d like to find out who did this.”

It was revealed a few days ago that Diddy (real name Sean Combs) is facing a sexual harassment and assault lawsuit filed against him by former collaborator Rodney “Lil Rod Madeit” Jones. Since then, some have made note that Meek Mill and Usher appear to be referenced in the lawsuit.

Why Was Meek Mill Mentioned In A New Diddy Lawsuit?

Mill is not directly mentioned in the lawsuit. However, one excerpt from it reads, “Mr. Combs informed Mr. Jones that he had engaged in sexual intercourse with rapper[5] (REDACTED), R&B singer[6] (REDACTED), and Stevie J.” This is according to a report from XXL, which obtained a copy of the lawsuit, and also according to a video of internet personality DJ Akademiks looking over the actual lawsuit. The footnote for 5 reads, “He is a Philadelphia Rapper who dated Nicki Minaj,” and the footnote for 6 says, “He performed at the Superbowl and had a successful Vegas residency.”

Some people connected the dots and came to the conclusion that the notes seem to identify Meek and Usher as the redacted names.

In a statement shared with XXL, Diddy’s attorney Shawn Holley responded to the suit, saying, “Lil Rod is nothing more than a liar who filed a $30 million lawsuit shamelessly looking for an undeserved payday. His reckless name-dropping about events that are pure fiction and simply did not happen is nothing more than a transparent attempt to garner headlines. We have overwhelming, indisputable proof that his claims are complete lies. Our attempts to share this proof with Mr. Jones’ attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, have been ignored, as Mr. Blackburn refuses to return our calls. We will address these outlandish allegations in court and take all appropriate action against those who make them.”

We’re All Going to the World’s Fair was one of the more promising (and eerie) debut films in recent memory. Now, director Jane Schoenbrun is returning with their follow-up, I Saw the TV Glow.

The Emma Stone-produced A24 film stars Justice Smith (Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves) as Owen, a teenager who is “just trying to make it through life in the suburbs when his classmate introduces him to a mysterious late-night TV show — a vision of a supernatural world beneath their own,” according to the official plot synopsis. “In the pale glow of the television, Owen’s view of reality begins to crack.” The cast also includes Brigette Lundy-Paine, Ian Foreman, Helena Howard, Fred Durst (!), and Danielle Deadwyler.

Schoenbrun told the Hollywood Reporter that I Saw the TV Glow was inspired by their love of television. “It’s a very strange phenomenon that I don’t think people take seriously, but certainly as a dissociated queer kid in the suburbs, many of my closest emotional relationships were with characters on Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” they said. Amber Benson, who played Tara on Buffy, even makes a cameo.
