Beginning in May, she will hit the road for The Greatest Hits Tour alongside special guests Simple Plan, All Time Low, Royal And The Serpent, and Girlfriends. Oliver Stone has always bravely stated his batty opinions. He doesn’t care whose toes he steps on, or if even Bill Maher thinks he’s too conspiracy theory-crazy. But after word got out that he thought Barbie was “sh*t,” Stone actually did the unthinkable: He backtracked and even apologized.

On Sunday, Deadline dug up an interview the Oscar-winning filmmaker made last July, in which he said Ryan Gosling is “wasting his time” making silly films like Barbie. “He should be doing more serious films,” Stone charged. “He shouldn’t be a part of this infantilization of Hollywood.”

By Monday Stone was on the defensive, saying that, no, he doesn’t actually agree with the wacko far right that Barbie is bad. His statement, he said, was taken “out-of-context,” and that he’d called the biggest moneymaker of 2023 “sh*t” before the film had even come out. What’s more, all he’d known about it was the title, not that it was made by Greta Gerwig and her future husband Noah Baumbach.

“I was able to see Barbie in a theater back in July and appreciated the film for its originality and its themes,” Stone said. “I found the filmmakers’ approach certainly different than what I expected. I apologize for speaking ignorantly.”

Stone also stated that he’s a Gerwig fan, calling Lady Bird one of his favorites of 2017. He also said Barbie “greatly boosted the morale of our business,” at a time when movie theaters are still recovering from the pandemic, not to mention being an original, non-franchise film in an era of franchises.

He concluded by wishing Gerwig and the Barbie team “good fortune at the Oscars.”

And so Oliver Stone apologized for running his mouth about something he didn’t know much about. It’s not hell freezing over, although it would be if fellow highly opinionated cinematic genius Paul Schrader did something similar.

Every generation eventually reaches the point where they realize they’re aging, but apparently Gen Z is hitting that milestone a lot earlier than most. Despite—or perhaps because of—growing up during the biggest anti-aging beauty product boom the world has ever seen, the young folks born between 1997 and 2012 are gaining a reputation for looking old before their time.

How can anyone who is younger than 27 look old, you may ask? It’s a valid question. According to one cosmetic doctor, young adults are engaging in anti-aging interventions like fillers and Botox prematurely, which ironically is making them “age” faster. Another culprit could be that smoking and vaping have taken hold of Gen Z in a way that their millennial predecessors generally managed to avoid.

According to Jordan Howlett, better known as Jordan the Stallion on TikTok, it’s “mainly because of the stress” that Gen Z is “aging like milk.” But it’s Howlett’s own personal anecdotes of looking older than his age as a Gen Zer that has people marveling—and laughing out loud.

Howlett is at the oldest end of Gen Z at age 26, but he shares that he is often mistaken for twice his age.

“We live in a time now where millennials look way younger for their age while Gen Z looks way older for their age. If you don’t believe me, I’m Gen Z,” Howlett says, zooming in on his gotta-be-older-than-26 face. “I am Gen Z and nobody ever believes me.”

Howlett explains that people mistake his mom for his younger sister and that when he say he’s going to hang out with his family, people assume he means his kids.

“I don’t have kids,” he says. “I’m talking about my parents. I’m still the child.”

He points out that Zendaya and Tom Holland are older than him (only by a year, but still).

Then he shares a story about getting an autograph from Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who talked to him like he was a peer—The Rock is 52 years old—and it’s hilarious.

In all seriousness, though, there may be something behind the “trying so hard not to age that they are actually aging faster” thing with Gen Z. We’re seeing pre-teens asking for skincare products for Christmas, for the love. Nobody in Gen Z really needs an anti-aging anything, and using certain products too early can actually backfire.

“Some skin care products claim to increase cell turnover or to repair collagen breakdown,” Joshua Zeichner, MD, director of cosmetic and clinical research in dermatology at New York’s Mt. Sinai Medical Center, told WebMD. “In your 20s, you have excellent turnover without any help, and your skin is fully capable of repairing itself. The downside is that these products may irritate your skin or make it more sensitive to the sun.”

In fact, daily sunscreen and avoiding smoking are the most important “anti-aging” habits for teens and young adults who want to keep wrinkles and other signs of aging at bay.

It may just be a fear of aging from constant anti-aging messaging and unrealistic social media filters that has Gen Z worrying so much about looking old and going to great pains to prevent it. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to slow down the aging process or not wanting to look older than we actually are, but there’s also nothing wrong with getting older—at all. It’s literally how time works. We’re all getting older every minute of every day, and our bodies are naturally going to show that progression.

Take it from a Gen X elder, young folks. What you do with those minutes matters far more than any creases or lines on your face.

There are actually some people that choose to live where the air hurts your face. Sure, snow and icicles can be pretty to watch on television or even from the comfort of your own toasty living room. But it’s much less serene when you have to get out in it to do non-exciting activities like go to school or work.

The people of Portland, Oregon have been dealing with the beauty of mother nature up close and personal–sometimes a little too close. After an ice storm trapped them in the house for days, people started having to venture outdoors and the results are hilarious. Residents of the iced-in city have been uploading videos of themselves and others looking a lot like a new born deer attempting to take its first steps.

One poor person was attempted to get down the a hill carrying a backpack when suddenly things took a comical turn. No matter how much the person attempted to get to their feet, they kept sliding, eventually giving up and accepting their fate. But while they were sliding their way home, their backpack came off and stopped sliding with them. No one knows if the backpack made it home or if it started a new life with the cell phone that also slipped out of the person’s hand. “Legend says he’s still sliding to this day,” a commenter writes.

When someone you know gets seriously ill, it’s not always easy to come up with the right words to say or to find the right card to give.

Emily McDowell — a former ad agency creative director and the woman behind the Los Angeles-based greeting card and textile company Emily McDowell Studio — knew all too well what it was like to be on the receiving end of uncomfortable sentiments.

At the age of 24, she was diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin’s lymphoma. She went into remission after nine months of chemo and has remained cancer-free since, but she received her fair share of misplaced, but well-meaning, wishes before that.

On her webpage introducing the awesome cards you’re about to see, she shared,

“The most difficult part of my illness wasn’t losing my hair, or being erroneously called ‘sir’ by Starbucks baristas, or sickness from chemo. It was the loneliness and isolation I felt when many of my close friends and family members disappeared because they didn’t know what to say or said the absolute wrong thing without realizing it.“

Her experience inspired Empathy Cards — not quite “get well soon” and not quite “sympathy,” they were created so “the recipients of these cards [can] feel seen, understood, and loved.”

Ask, and you shall receive. Back in 2023, Justin Timberlake made multiple trips to the recording studio. The Grammy Award-winning singer appeared on songs with Coco Jones and Jung Kook. But when he and longtime collaborator Timbaland released “Keep Going Up” with Nelly Furtado, fans were on high alert, and rightfully so.

Shortly after, Timberlake reunited with NSYNC for the group’s first song in over twenty years, “Better Place.” Sadly, it is unclear if the band will release any further works, but Timberlake surely will. On January 20, Timberlake took to his official Instagram page to announce Everything I Thought It Was, the singer’s first album in six years. So, when will Justin Timberlake’s new album come out?

Unfortunately, that bit of information is still unknown. However, Timberlake’s recent post on Instagram suggests that the project’s lead single, “Selfish,” is set to hit the streaming platform on Thursday, January 25.

The trailer for the forthcoming project, voiced by Benicio Del Toro, gives fans a sense of its creative direction. Not else is known about Everything I Thought It Was at this time.

But according to Billboard, Timberlake’s plans for the year include much more than music. Sources told the outlet that in 2023, holds were placed in arenas across North America for 2024 tour dates.

In 2023, no other rap rookie shined quite like Ice Spice. You name it, the “In Ha Mood” rapper accomplished it. From chart placement and big brand partnerships to massive collaborations with superstars Nicki Minaj (for the Barbie movie soundtrack) and Taylor Swift, Ice Spice is one to watch.

This year, based on interviews from her producer, RiotUSA, the Bronx native doesn’t have any plans on slowing down with her debut album slated to drop this year. However, thanks to a now-viral photo shared by Ice Spice, users online think that could be pushed back. After uploading an image on X (formerly Twitter) to show off her casual chic look of the day, her followers’ reaction was quite what Ice Spice expected.

The number one thing on fans’ minds was: Is Ice Spice pregnant? The question nearly became a trending topic as the image’s impressions on the platform alone rocketed to over two million.

Ice Spice chimed in without skipping a beat to shut down the speculation quickly. “Nobody’s pregnant,” she wrote. “N****s just phat.”

Images taken from other angles seem to support Ice Spice’s claim. However, after the lengths Halle Bailey went to in order to hide her pregnancy on social media, users aren’t convinced by Ice Spice’s explanation.

It’s been three years since Loudermilk left the airwaves, but it’s not because it was cancelled. In fact, it was never cancelled. Instead, something unusual (but not that unusual) happened: Its home died. For three seasons, the sobriety dramedy used to air on AT&T’s Audience Network. But the Audience Network closed shop in 2020, leaving Loudermilk — and any other show native to its service — homeless.

But will it finally get around to making a fourth season?

The answer is still, alas, up in the air. After the Audience Network went kaput, Loudermilk found a new home at Amazon. It’s no longer there, but it is on Netflix. Netflix could decide to bring it back, but there’s a bit of belt-tightening going on over there, as with other streamers, which used to greenlit just about anything to fill their coffers. In other words, don’t hold your breath, at least for now.

Loudermilk starred (or stars? could star again?) Ron Livingston as a recovering alcoholic former music critic who, when the show begins, is four years off the sauce. He’s surly with just about everyone except those close to him, including his sponsor, played by Will Sasse. The show was co-created by Peter Farrelly, one-half of the Farrelly brothers, and the one who made the Best Picture winning Green Book. The last film he and his brother Bobby helmed together was the underrated Dumb and Dumber To.

Joel Embiid put together a night for the ages on Monday against the San Antonio Spurs. The reigning MVP exploded for the best performance of his career and made history in the process, finishing with 70 points on 24-for-41 shooting and 21-for-23 from the free throw line to go along with 18 rebounds. That set a new Philadelphia 76ers franchise record for scoring, and Embiid joined the highly exclusive club of players to reach the 70-point mark. Beyond that, he also became first player in league history to finish a game with at least 70 points, 15 rebounds, and five assists, all while leading the Sixers to a 133-123 victory in Philly.

From the outset, it felt like a special night could be in the offing. Embiid set a personal best with 24 points in the opening quarter, converting eight of his 12 shots from the field and parading to the free throw line against a helpless Spurs defense. By halftime, he had 34 points and 10 rebounds, at least maintaining the pace to set what would eventually become the franchise scoring record.

Perhaps the most important part of the journey toward 70 was a 25-point third quarter in which Embiid carved up San Antonio’s resistance early and often. By the five-minute mark of the third quarter, he had 50 points, and Embiid finished the period with 59 points and 15 rebounds.

If anything, there was a bit of intrigue as to whether Embiid would return to the game, as the 76ers held a comfortable lead when he went to the bench for his typical early fourth quarter rest. However, the Spurs did just enough to hang around, prompting Embiid to return and proceed toward history. With 4:51 to go, he reached the 65-point mark and set a new high in scoring from any player during the 2023-24 season.

Finally, Embiid clawed his way to 70 in crunch time, scoring with 1:41 to go to put the 76ers up by 15 points.

Just 19 seconds later, Embiid was headed to the bench just one point short of the most points scored since Kobe Bryant’s 81-point game in 2006. Fittingly, Bryant’s performance took place 18 years ago to the day, and Embiid earned quite the reception from the Philadelphia faithful.

All told, it was a staggeringly impressive performance from Embiid, and he continues to enjoy a dominant season. Entering the night, Embiid was already scoring more than a point per minute, and that gap widened when he put up 70 in only 37 minutes of action. At no point did the Spurs have a single answer for the star center, and this was perhaps the best example of Embiid’s penchant for dominance.

Despite suffering an injury during his World Heavyweight Championship match with Jinder Mahal last week, Seth Rollins is still on track to compete at WrestleMania. An emotional Rollins opened Monday Night Raw with a spotlight on him as fans chanted “thank you Seth.” He acknowledged he has a Grade 2 MCL tear and a medial meniscus tear, with 3-4 months in recovery on the horizon following surgery.

After Gunther made his way to the ring to confront him, Rollins announced he doesn’t care what doctors are saying and he’ll be the one to carry the title into WrestleMania. The Intercontinental Champion responded that he plans on winning this weekend’s Royal Rumble and then challenging Rollins for his belt.

Rollins appeared to mess up his left knee against Mahal on a moonsault about midway through the match. He is not a stranger to significant knee injuries, having suffered a torn right ACL, MCL, and meniscus during a live show in Dublin in 2015.

Since returning from that injury, Rollins had held just about every title one can hold in WWE. His current reign as World Heavyweight Champion is over 240 days at this point, with all signs pointing toward a big-time showdown at WrestleMania against any number of current Raw superstars.
