When Killers of the Flower Moon was released, many people decided to opt out of seeing it on the big screen because, let’s face it, it was a bit on the long side. But now that the film has a set streaming date, you don’t have any excuse not to tune in.
Martin Scorsese’s latest masterpiece, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Lily Gladstone, Robert de Niro, and A Big Hat Worn By Jesse Plemons, has that fun Academy Award buzz, so now is the time to fully invest in the 3+ hour film, which can currently be bought or rented on Apple TV+.
As for streaming, Killers of the Flower Moon will be available to Apple TV+ subscribers (as part of their streaming package) on Friday, January 12th. The streamer announced the date with a heartwarming photo of Scorcese and DiCaprio looking like long-lost BFFs catching up:

Gladstone took home a Golden Globe for her striking performance at Sunday’s award ceremony. “This is a historic win, it doesn’t belong to just me,” she began, before adding that her win is “for every little res kid, every little urban kid, every little Native kid out there who has a dream, who is seeing themselves represented in our stories told by ourselves in our own words with tremendous allies and tremendous trust from within from each other.”
In the moment, it looked as though the leading All-Star vote-getter among East guards was going to be sidelined for a long time, but an MRI on Tuesday revealed about the best news possible for Haliburton and the Pacers. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Haliburton suffered just a Grade 1 hamstring strain, which will put him on the shelf for two weeks before being reevaluated, but he avoided a significant, long-term injury.

Now, any hamstring injury comes with the caveat that they can linger and tend to get aggravated easier if you come back a bit too soon, but if the Pacers and Haliburton can be patient letting it heal fully, he should be able to return to the court and, hopefully, avoid any issues the rest of the season. The Pacers are currently tied with the Magic, Heat, Knicks, and Cavs at 21-15 and one would expect them to slip some in the standings without their star guard, but if they can tread water they’ll stay within reach of a top-6 spot in the East when he’s able to return. Two weeks would be an 8-game absence for Haliburton, but that’s just when he’s being reevaluated so it could be more like 10-12 games they’ll have to navigate without the league’s leading assist man.
Bonnaroo unveiled their 2024 lineup today, with Post Malone, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fred Again.., Megan Thee Stallion, and many more set to play in Tennessee. For those who are interested in going, here’s what to know about the ticket cost.
How Much Are Tickets For The Bonnaroo 2024 Festival?
Tickets for Bonnaroo 2024 aren’t currently on sale yet. Given they just revealed the acts playing there, the festival is having interested attendees sign up via their website for a presale passcode. The presale then opens this Thursday, January 11 at 11 a.m. ET.
Right now, the 4-day General Admission pass starts at $420, with no hidden fees. However, Bonnaroo’s website also encourages people to buy the presale before the price increases.
The next tier up is GA+, which starts at $695. This includes unlimited access to the Centeroo GA+ lounge that has air-conditioned restrooms. There is also a private bar and food for purchase, along with a concierge service.
VIP passes start at $1000, giving even more perks. This tier includes a special viewing area, invites to VIP parties during the festival, and more.
Finally, the Platinum tier starts at $4155. Those who purchase will have exclusive viewing at all of the stages, free drinks and dining in the Platinum Lounge, golf cart transportation, and more exclusive perks.
After directing 2021’s The Suicide Squad, James Gunn made the surprising creative decision to launch a spinoff series focused on John Cena’s Peacemaker. Even more surprising, it was a huge hit. The show became a viral sensation when it arrived on HBO Max (now just Max) and viewers were here fore Cena’s multi-faceted performance as the wildly ultra-violent superhero with a heart of gold.
However, it’s been two years since Peacemaker Season 1 and fans are clamoring for another round with the shiny-domed weirdo and his even weirder best friend Vigilante. The good news is Season 2 has been confirmed. The bad news is there’s going to a bit of a wait. In the meantime, here’s everything we know so far:
Plot
After the explosive Peacemaker Season 1 finale, a lot has changed in the live-action DC Comics world. James Gunn became the new head of DC Studios and is currently tackling the flagship film, Superman: Legacy, which will kickstart an all-new DC Universe. Considering Peacemaker was deeply ensconced in the old DC Extended Universe — the season finale even included a Justice League cameo — Season 2 will no doubt have to make some considerable story pivots. Unfortunately, we have no idea what those pivots are yet.
Gunn has kept plot details for Peacemaker Season 2 tightly under wraps, but what we do know is that John Cena will be back as the asshole, yet surprisingly lovable superhero who’s working on not shooting every single thing in front of him. It’s a journey, and we’re here for it.
Cast
Obviously, John Cena will be back as Christoper Smith a.k.a. Peacemaker. Freddie Stroma will also reprise his role as Vigilante, and Jennifer Holland will most likely come back as A.R.G.U.S. Agent Emilia Harcourt. Outside of that, there’s no official word on casting.
The Season 1 finale saw Peacemaker being haunted by the ghost of his dead father, played by Robert Patrick, so there’s a chance he could reprise his role as well. Danielle Brooks‘ Leota Adeboya could also return or be done with the spy business altogether after her mic drop moment. However, again, there’s little in the way of plot details, so it’s hard to say who’s returning outside of the main leads.
But if Eagly doesn’t return, we riot.
Release Date
As of this writing, there is no release date for Peacemaker Season 2, and James Gunn has made it clear that fans are in for a considerable wait. While confirming that Peacemaker Season 2 is still happening, Gunn has promised that it will be his next project after he completes Superman: Legacy. However, that film doesn’t arrive until July 11, 2025 and will no doubt keep Gunn busy due to its size and scope.
Not only is Gunn tackling a new version of the Man of Steel, but the film will officially launch a rebooted DC Universe. Fortunately, Gunn has confirmed that Cena’s Peacemaker is one of the very few characters that will survive the jump from the previous DC Extended Universe. In short, it’s going to be a long while until we see the shiny-headed doofus return for Season 2.

Considering Peacemaker Season 2 has a while to go before it even starts filming, there’s definitely not a trailer. Fortunately, we have something just as good: The show’s opening credits, which instantly became a viral hit thanks to John Cena’s dance moves and the slamming track by Norwegian glam metal band Wig Wam:

The second season of Reacher begins with Alan Ritchson’s title character thwarting a car jacking in process (and subsequently freaking out a thrift-store clerk). Granted, Jack Reacher does not want to “get involved,” so he will leave the scene before cops arrive, but he will make sure to beat the holy hell out of said criminal. This actually isn’t too far off base from how Ritchson confronted a car robbery in process, and even though Alan’s wife asked him not to get involved, he totally did just that.
Ritchson told Canada’s etalk outlet about the situation, which began with him all dressed up on a Montreal date with his very patient wife, Catherine. She first spotted a perpetrator who had broken glass on a vehicle (and was going to town), and she asked Alan not to intervene, but yeah, he couldn’t help himself.
He described going into “Instant Reacher mode” as such: “I was like, ‘Some justice has to be done here,’ and I chased that dude like four blocks until I tossed him into a building, and the cops came. She was very mad at me.”
Picture that happening. And then picture Catherine’s face after she already puts up with her husband pulling a fast one with Popeyes in between protein shakes. It can’t be easy being married to the dude who portrays a walking brick sh*thouse, but I imagine there are a few perks, too. Like, maybe he serenaded her and dressed up like a certain Caped Crusader to smooth over their ruined date. It could happen!
In November, The Smile dropped the title track to their forthcoming album, Wall Of Eyes. Today (January 9), the group has delivered the second offering from their highly-anticipated sophomore album. On their new single, “Friend Of A Friend,” The Smile ditches their spooky theatrics from the lead single, instead opting for a fuzzy psychedelic sound produced by Sam Petts-Davies.
As an examination of the love’s hypnotizing effects, the band’s frontman, Thom Yorke, injects that sense of uncomfortable longing into his vocal performance. “I can go anywhere that I want / I just gotta turn myself inside out and back to front / With cut out shapes and worn out spaces / Add some sparkles to create the right effect / They’re all smiling, so I guess I’ll stay / At least ’til the disappointed have eaten themselves away,” sings Yorke.

New music isn’t the only thing The Smile will make available for fans to enjoy later this month. Before Wall Of Eyes’ release, The Smile will host several theater screenings worldwide, including in New York City, Los Angeles, London, and Tokyo, to debut the project’s visual component. Between January 18 and 25, select independent cinemas will show The Smile’s Wall of Eyes, On Film, a collection of never-before-seen footage of the album’s recording sessions, Thom Yorke and Radiohead’s directorial collaborations, and more. The 2024 music festival season is shaping up to be yet another one for the history books. Today (January 9), organizers of Boston Calling announced the official lineup for this year’s festivities. Across Memorial Day weekend (May 24 to 26), the annual multi-day event will take over the city’s Harvard Athletic Complex with headliner performances ranging from pop, indie, and soul acts alike.
On opening night, Friday, May 24, Ed Sheeran and Leon Bridges will close things out. Tyler Childers and Trey Anastasio & Classic Tab will do the honors on the following day, Saturday, May 25. Closing night, May 26, The Killers and Hozier are set to end things with a band.

O’Connor died from natural causes, according to a statement from the London Inner South Coroner’s Court (via People).
At the time of O’Connor’s passing, she had been found unresponsive at home. However, “no medical cause of death was given” initially and the coroner requested an autopsy.
“The decision whether an inquest will be needed will be decided when these results are known and submissions have been heard from the family,” their statement added. It was also noted that her death was not viewed as suspicious.
O’Connor’s family were the ones who originally broke the news of her death last summer. “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sinéad,” they wrote. “Her family and friends are devastated and have requested privacy at this very difficult time.”
Now that the singer’s cause of death has been made public, the court are reportedly no longer involved in it.
Throughout O’Connor’s career, her 1990 hit cover, “Nothing Compares 2 U,” was nominated for Record Of The Year at the Grammys. She ended her musical run with a final album in 2014.
The top of the year usually marks the unofficial start of festival season, as that’s when the major events tend to start rolling out their lineups. Now, one of North America and the world’s biggest events, Bonnaroo, has unveiled its 2024 lineup.
It’s led by headlining sets from Pretty Lights and Fisher on Thursday, June 13; Post Malone on Friday the 14th; Red Hot Chili Peppers on Saturday the 15th; and Fred Again.. on Sunday the 16th.
