Sinéad O’Connor passed away back in July, at the age of 56. Now, the singer’s cause of death has been revealed.

What was Sinéad O’Connor’s cause of death?

O’Connor died from natural causes, according to a statement from the London Inner South Coroner’s Court (via People).

At the time of O’Connor’s passing, she had been found unresponsive at home. However, “no medical cause of death was given” initially and the coroner requested an autopsy.

“The decision whether an inquest will be needed will be decided when these results are known and submissions have been heard from the family,” their statement added. It was also noted that her death was not viewed as suspicious.

O’Connor’s family were the ones who originally broke the news of her death last summer. “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sinéad,” they wrote. “Her family and friends are devastated and have requested privacy at this very difficult time.”

Now that the singer’s cause of death has been made public, the court are reportedly no longer involved in it.

Throughout O’Connor’s career, her 1990 hit cover, “Nothing Compares 2 U,” was nominated for Record Of The Year at the Grammys. She ended her musical run with a final album in 2014.

When Will ‘The Boy And The Heron’ Be On Streaming?

the boy and the heron
gkids

In a minor upset, The Boy and The Heron won the Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature Film over presumed frontrunner Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. “This is the first Golden Globe awarded to a Studio Ghibli film and it is a very special feeling,” Studio Ghibli president Toshio Suzuki said in a statement. “I hope the bright news of winning such an award can bring a smile to everyone’s face, even if only a little.” Meanwhile, director Hayao Miyazaki probably celebrated by asking, “What are the Golden Globes?”

The Boy and The Heron is yet another masterpiece from Miyazaki and should be seen on the biggest screen possible, especially because, as of this moment, there is no digital or streaming release date. Maybe sometime in the spring? Until then, you can find out where it’s playing here.

Here’s more:

After losing his mother during the war, young Mahito moves to his family’s estate in the countryside. There, a series of mysterious events lead him to a secluded and ancient tower, home to a mischievous gray heron. When Mahito’s new stepmother disappears, he follows the gray heron into the tower, and enters a fantastic world shared by the living and the dead. As he embarks on an epic journey with the heron as his guide, Mahito must uncover the secrets of this world, and the truth about himself.

The Japanese voice cast is led by Soma Santoki, Masaki Suda, Ko Shibasaki, Aimyon, Yoshino Kimura, Takuya Kimura, Kaoru Kobayashi, and Shinobu Otake, while the English voice cast includes Christian Bale, Dave Bautista, Gemma Chan, Willem Dafoe, Karen Fukuhara, Mark Hamill, Robert Pattinson (who is so good at being a weird lil guy), and Florence Pugh.

Adam Driver Sounds He Did Not Enjoy His Time On ‘Star Wars’ Sets, But To Be Fair, He’s Blaming Himself For That Grumpiness

Adam Driver Kylo Ren
Lucasfilm

If you were hoping to see Adam Driver return to a galaxy far, far away. Don’t hold your breath. Granted, Kylo Ren is dead, that hasn’t stopped Star Wars from mining characters for prequel stories and/or Force ghost cameos like Hayden Christensen‘s appearances in both Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka.

Driver confirmed that he’s done with the Star Wars franchise while talking to the Smartless podcast. However, the actor mostly blamed himself for making his work in the Sequel Trilogy more difficult than it needed to be.

Via Variety:

“‘Star Wars’ was way more exhausting for me … I made it more exhausting than it should have been,” Driver added. “I hadn’t quite figured out the momentum of a set that was that big before. All the things I had worked on were pretty small and moved pretty fast … The director sets the pace of the set. I don’t like to control that. I have to adjust. Spike Lee and [Steven] Soderbergh shoot really fast. For me that’s not comfortable, but it’s their movie and their film so I adjust.”

Not for nothing, Driver also revealed last month that there were some significant changes to Kylo Ren’s arc, and The Rise of Skywalker took the character in a direction that was not the story he was pitched.

“The last one, it changed into being, you know, about them and the dyad, and things like that,” Driver told The Rich Eisen Show. “And evolving into Ben Solo. That was never a part of it. He was Ben Solo from the beginning, but there was never a version where we’d see Ben Solo when I first signed up for it.”

Did You Know Paul Giamatti Is Dating The Actress Who Played His Dominatrix On ‘Billions’? You Do Now

clara wong giamatti

Paul Giamatti is a relatable icon for going to In-N-Out Burger after winning a Golden Globe for his extremely good performance in The Holdovers (if he took the french fries home and plopped them into the toaster oven to make them more crispy, even better). Less relatable, but equally iconic, is that he’s dating the actress who played his dominatrix on Billions, Clara Wong.

The relationship was confirmed during Giamatti’s acceptance speech for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. “I want to say, I love my beautiful girlfriend Clara Wong. Why you bother with me, I don’t know why,” he said (this was after he noted that “surely this is the first time this award has been given to an actor who has played a man who smells like fish”).

It’s unclear how long Paul and Clara have been dating, but they’ve worked together for years. She has appeared in seven episodes of his Showtime series Billions, dating all the way back to season one in 2016.

Specifically, she played Troy, a dominatrix visited by Giamatti’s character, Chuck.

Wong shared a picture of Giamatti (in a Dolphins hat) on his birthday last year.

And in 2022:

Currently, Billie Eilish and Finneas are halfway to an EGOT (winning at least one each of the Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony awards). They’ve got some Grammys and they earned an Oscar (Academy Award) in 2022 for “No Time To Die,” so that just leaves the Emmy and Tony. As far as the Tony, it appears the pair might end up pursuing it.

Eilish and Finneas guest on a new episode of The Hollywood Reporter‘s Awards Chatter podcast. During the interview, which was recorded in front of an audience at Chapman University, host Scott Feinberg asked if they would have interest in writing an original musical, for either the stage or the screen. Finneas responded, “For sure, yeah,” and Eilish replied, “Yes,” continuing, “Finneas has really, really good ideas for musicals already, and I’m so excited to see where they go. I’m very excited.”

Later in the chat, they were asked what’s on their to-do lists. Finneas reaffirmed, “I really do want to write a musical,” while Eilish answered, “I would love to direct a movie someday.”

Stephen Colbert Ripped Into A Wild Video That Claimed ‘God Gave Us Trump’

Last week, the ever-humble Donald Trump shared a video on Truth Social that claimed God made him to lead the country.

“And on June 14, 1946, God looked down on his planned paradise and said, ‘I need a caretaker.’ So God gave us Trump,” a narrator reads over grainy footage of Trump signing documents and talking to cops. “God said, ‘I need somebody willing to get up before dawn, fix this country, work all day, fight the Marxist, eat supper, then go to the Oval Office and stay past midnight and a meeting of the heads of state.’ So God made Trump.”

Stephen Colbert is willing to buy it (unlike many pastors), but only because “God also made that fish in the Amazon that swims up your pee-hole and shoots out spikes so you can’t get it out,” he said during Monday’s episode of The Late Show. “So, I’m just saying God’s got a mixed record on making things.” He added, “By the way, Donald, have you thought about going swimming in the Amazon?”

They say God created mankind in his own image. So does this mean God is a McDonald’s fanatic who dances like a baby learning to walk? Actually, that makes a lot of sense…
