A Helmet-Wearing Ari Lennox Is Prepared For Any And All Objects Concertgoers Attempt To Throw Onstage

Entertainers have a simple holiday wish, stop throwing sh*t onstage during performances. Just when you thought the gross trend had died off, news of its resurgence flooded social media.

While in Los Angeles for Rod Wave’s Nostalgia Tour stop on November 29, “Waste My Time” singer Ari Lennox fell victim to an attendee’s desperate and unacceptable cry for attention. Lennox was nearly hit with what appeared to be a water bottle hurled by a concertgoer. Lennox verbally ripped the fan a new one as the crowd cheered her on. Yesterday (November 30), for the tour’s next stop in Oakland, Lennox sported a helmet just in case someone tried the stunt again.

In a video shared by a fan, Lennox fiercely swayed onstage to her song “Shea Butter,” she temporarily rethought things. “Hey, Oakland. My name is Ari Lennox… I don’t know should I keep this thing on or what,” Lennox asked the crowd.

Lennox is known for her sharp sense of humor, but given the injuries sustained by Bebe Rexha in June, when she was hit in the eye with a phone, musicians aren’t willing to take any chances. Latto was nearly willing to grapple with one fan at Rolling Loud Germany who threw something at her. Hell, Cardi B took it a step further by throwing her microphone at a concertgoer who splashed her with water.

Fortunately for Lennox, the show went off without any new incidents.

Will There Be A ‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’ Season 4?

'Power Book III: Raising Kanan' 301 Kanan Jukebox
STARZ

(WARNING: Spoilers for the most recent Power Book III: Raising Kanan episode will be found below.)

It took a little over a year, but at long last, Power Book III: Raising Kanan has returned for season three. The first episode aired last night and it picks up right after the events of the season two finale. Raq and Marvin are recovering from shooting wounds, Kanan no longer trusts his family after discovering the truth of his past, and Detective Howard and Detective Burke’s working relationship comes to an end after a shocking conclusion to the episode. So much will be explored in season three, but will that be it for the Power Book III: Raising Kanan story?

Will There Be A Power Book III: Raising Kanan Season 4?

Yes! Prior to the start of Power Book III: Raising Kanan season three, STARZ announced that the show had indeed been renewed for a fourth season. “We’re thrilled to continue Kanan Stark’s story, and for fans to see how the events of his formative adolescent years continue to mold him into the cold-hearted villain they were first introduced to in ‘Power,” Kathryn Busby, President of Original Programming for STARZ, said in a statement. “We are quite sure that after viewers see the battle lines being drawn between Raq and Kanan on this epic upcoming third season that they will demand more.”

There isn’t a timetable for the start of Power Book III: Raising Kanan season four, but in the meantime, you can enjoy season three episodes as they air weekly on Fridays on STARZ.

New episodes of ‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’ are available on the STARZ app on Fridays at 12:00 am ET/PT and on the STARZ TV channel at 8:00 pm ET/PT.

Billie Eilish will return to Saturday Night Live as the final musical guest of the year on Saturday, December 16. She’ll probably perform “What Was I Made For?,” her Grammy-nominated song for the Barbie soundtrack, and she might even wear her newest Nike sneakers.

On Friday morning, December 1, Eilish announced her next colorway and silhouette with an Instagram carousel. The photos show Eilish wearing all-red Nike Air Alpha Force Lows with an all-camouflage outfit. “My newwwww @nike air alpha force lows [heart exclamation emoji] available december 5th on my website & december 8th on the SNKRS app [!!]” she captioned the post.

Eilish has been relatively inactive musically this year — outside of “What Was I Made For?” — but she’s kept fans fed on the sneaker front. In March, Eilish debuted her “low in white” Nike Air Force 1 silhouette. By August, she unleashed her unique touch on Nike Alpha Force Lows in black and white as well as the “White/University Red-Black” colorway made famous by Michael Jordan in 1988 (as pointed out by Complex).

Eilish has been collaborating with Nike since 2021, beginning with two Air Jordan designs made from 100-percent vegan and sustainable materials. In April 2022, she dropped the Air Force 1 Billie “Mushroom.”

Ahead of the newest Billie Eilish x Nike release next Tuesday, December 5, peruse past styles on Eilish’s official store here.

A New Netflix Show Put Its Own Twist On The Whipped Cream Bikini From ‘Varsity Blues’

Obliterated
netflix

Mr. Skin, the long-time chronicler of nude scenes in TV shows and movies, has an entire page dedicated to “Boobs Covered in Whipped Cream.” The most famous example is Ali Larter in 1999’s Varsity Blues (shaving cream was used as a stand-in for whipped cream), but there’s also Chris Evans in Not Another Teen Movie, which I contend is one of the funniest comedies of the early 2000s, and, somehow, Lucy Lawless in Xena: Warrior Princess. (Mel Magazine looked into the history of the whipped cream bikini — it’s an informative read.)

A recent entry in the canon is on Obliterated, a new Netflix show from Cobra Kai creators Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald. The show is about an elite special forces team who thwart a deadly threat to Las Vegas — only to learn the bomb was a fake, so they have to find the real one before it’s too late. But when they think it’s mission accomplished, they celebrate with booze, sex, and a food-based swimsuits. In the pilot episode, NSA agent Maya, played by Kimi Rutledge, learns that the dream girl of her crush, Chad (Nick Zano), is Ali Larter in Varsity Blues, and, well, I’ll let Decider take it from here.

Dressed in dessert, Maya enters McKnight’s hotel room and says, “Hey, cowboy. I think I’ve got a cure for your Varsity Blues.” But [her] sexy declaration is immediately followed by a “what the fuck?!” as she discovers that [Chad] just hooked up. The cherry on top of this embarrassingly sexy sundae? One of her cherries falls off.

Captain America still did it best. You can watch Obliterated on Netflix.

The Adidas Twitter Account Trolled Kevin Durant For Saying He’d Never Wear Anthony Edwards’ Signature Sneakers

kevin durant

Anthony Edwards has established himself as one of the most magnetic stars in all of basketball, both on and off the court. This usually leads to guys getting rewarded with big opportunities away from the game, which Edwards is going to get a little later this month when adidas drops his first signature sneaker, the AE1.

It’s a really cool opportunity for Edwards, who as part of the rollout of the new shoe identified the one guy he wants to see wear the AE1 during a game: Kevin Durant. The problem, as Edwards acknowledged, is that Durant is a Nike athlete, but he still hopes to see the Phoenix Suns star throw them on one time.

Durant got wind of this and decided to have a little fun, making clear that he’s Nike for life.

As it turns out, the people at adidas figured that this was a perfect opportunity to get a few jokes off at KD’s expense. First, they made the decision to talk some sh*t to the future Hall of Fame inductee before bringing up the fact that Durant famously has admitted to using burner accounts on whatever we’re calling Twitter this month.

Just one man’s opinion, but I think this is going to make it less likely that Durant will ever wear Edwards’ sneakers in a game.

The Beef Between Taylor Swift’s Publicist And Deuxmoi, Explained

Tree Paine Taylor Swift 2019 American Music Awards
Getty Image

If you’ve been on social media today (the Taylor Swift-related sides of it, specifically), you’ve seen beef brewing between celebrity gossip account Deuxmoi and Tree Paine, Swift’s longtime publicist, over a rumor about one of Swift’s past relationships. So, what’s going on here?

Why are Taylor Swift’s publicist Tree Paine and celebrity gossip social media account Deuxmoi beefing?

First, a bit of context: Deuxmoi has spread some Swift rumors that turned out to be inaccurate before. There were a couple dating ones from earlier this year, for example, like suggestions that Swift was romantically involved with Jason Sudeikis and Formula 1 driver Fernando Alonso. They haven’t always been wrong, though. Deuxmoi claimed in August 2022 that Swift was planning a tour, then The Eras Tour was announced that November. Then, this past September, they claimed Swift and Travis Kelce went on a date, and sure enough, Swift went to her first Chiefs game later that month. So, Deuxmoi isn’t always incorrect, but some might argue there’s a bit of a “you miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take” approach to the rumors and gossip on their platform.

Now, let’s fast-forward to present day.

What did Deuxmoi say about Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn?

This week, Deuxmoi, reiterating a claim it has made before, wrote in an Instagram Story, “She DID have a ceremony in either 2020 or 2021 in the UK and it was described to me as a ‘marriage’ by more than one person. It was NEVER made legal. I will die on this hill! Put it on my tombstone! I have no reason to lie, I could give a sh*t what she does!!!!! I’m sorry she didn’t tell you guys about it in a song but just because she doesn’t sing about something doesn’t mean it didn’t happen!!!”

What did Tree Paine say about Deuxmoi’s Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn marriage rumor?

Paine saw the Deuxmoi post and was compelled to respond, tweeting on November 30, “Enough is enough with these fabricated lies about Taylor from Deuxmoi. There was NEVER a marriage or ceremony of ANY kind. This is an insane thing to post. It’s time for you to be held accountable for the pain and trauma you cause with posts like these.”

How did Deuxmoi respond to Tree Paine?

On their Instagram Story, Deuxmoi shared some messages from others in support of their Swift gossip. One person, for example, wrote, “‘pain and trauma’… are very strong words. I understand why they’d be bothered, but Tree (and Taylor) are livid. Of all things, why are they so angry about this particular claim that they felt the need to respond?”

Deuxmoi themselves wrote in another Story, “Well I make zero dollars from lying… can publicists say the same [shrugging emoji]. Also, to relate something that is in reference to something that happened years ago to ‘pain & trauma’ after what just happened seems like a poor choice of words. Either way, I apologize to Taylor.”

What are Swifties saying about Deuxmoi after the Joe Alwyn marriage rumor?

Deuxmoi is facing some online criticism over the Swift/Alwyn rumors. One person tweeted, “Not sure why anyone takes anything DeuxMoi, a source who posted that they’d heard those submarine people were still alive and shared that Woody Allen was hosting SNL last season, says seriously.” Somebody else shared, “I want to know what deuxmoi’s idea of ‘I make zero dollars’ from lying looks like… those subs are not free & neither is that book, that’s before we even get into the merch, podcast & ads. Salacious gossip sells even if not true. She is making a tonne of income off of all of this.”

Paine has not responded to Deuxmoi’s retort, and neither Swift nor Alwyn have publicly addressed the situation.

Here Are 10 Of Beyoncé’s Best Rapping Songs

beyonce
Getty Image

Beyoncé’s new movie Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé is out and with it, came a new song, “My House,” which appears in the credits. “My House” finds Beyoncé in “full rap mogul” mode, barking aggressive, boastful rhymes asserting her dominance. While it’s a bit of a departure from many of the dance-centric cuts that appear on her latest album Renaissance, it’s not the first time Beyoncé has shown off some impressive rap skills in addition to her always awesome singing abilities.

Here are 10 more of Beyoncé’s best rapping songs.

“No, No, No Part 2” With Destiny’s Child (1998)

While there are some who wouldn’t consider Beyoncé’s early work with Destiny’s Child to exemplify traditional rap structure, Beyoncé’s playful blending of R&B vocals with hip-hop delivery could be seen even then. It also turned out to be prescient; these days, the line between rap and R&B is blurrier than ever thanks to artists like Drake and those he’s inspired. Just look at SZA’s “Kill Bill” and “Snooze” — without Beyoncé, who’s to say there’d have been space for that style to flourish on the charts the way it has this year?

“Temptation” With Destiny’s Child (1999)

Although “Say My Name” is often considered the moment when Beyoncé perfected her rap-like, staccato singing style, another song from the same album, The Writing’s On The Wall, features a much more direct rapping delivery. hip-hop history has a proud tradition of storytelling tracks running through it, and with a bit of contextualization, “Temptations” fits right in.

“If Looks Could Kill You’d Be Dead”

Okay, go with me here. In 2001, MTV launched a made-for-TV film called Carmen: A Hip Hopera. It is exactly what it sounds like: a rap-ified version of the 1875 opera Carmen (or at least of Carmen Jones a 1954 musical loosely based on it). As the titular character, Beyoncé has two jobs: Looking gorgeous enough to prompt half the male cast to try to kill each other (check), and keep up with Mos Def, which she does admirably on her introductory number.

“Diva” (2008)

In 2008, producer Bangladesh had two of the biggest bangers of the year: “A Milli” by Lil Wayne and “Diva” by Beyoncé. While they employ a similar production style, the two performers used completely different rap approaches. Rather than using one to discount the other, the correct way to read this is acknowledging
just how versatile rap can be at its best.

“Partition” (2013)

On this standout from Beyoncé’s self-titled album, she leans fully into a swaggy rapper persona — the one she’ll end up using right to today. Her signature Houston drawl elongates the rhymes, harkening back to one of her home state’s most iconic bar-spitters, Pimp C.

“7/11” (2014)

“But she’s just repeating the same words over and over!” you may protest.

Ahem… No one questioned this when Lil Uzi Vert did it on “Do What I Want” (sure, some folks hated it but no one tried to take the rapper title away from him). If you think about it this way, Beyoncé kind of opened the door for Playboi Cart. He should send her a note.

“Feeling Myself” Nicki Minaj Feat. Beyoncé (2014)

On one of the first songs where Beyoncé went bar-for-bar with an actual rap peer, she not only kept up with Ms. Minaj — she darn near stole the whole show.

“Top Off” DJ Khaled Feat. Jay-Z, Future & Beyoncé (2018)

Beyoncé had collaborated with her husband Jay-Z a number of times in the prior decade but on DJ Khaled’s Father Of Asahd, for the first time, she endeavored to actually out-rap him. Whether or not she accomplished that mission is up to the listener’s taste but it wouldn’t be too hard to argue that that’s exactly what she did.

“Apesh*t” As The Carters With Jay-Z(2018)

Apparently, Bey and Jay had so much fun trading bars on “Top Off,” they decided to do it for a whole project on their group album Everything Is Love as The Carters. Once again, she arguably gets the best of him on the lead single, rattling off some of the most memorable punchlines on track.

“Savage (Remix)” With Megan Thee Stallion (2020)

In 2020, at the height of the pandemic, Beyoncé almost single-handedly gave fans the blueprint for survival, making OnlyFans a household name in the process.

‘The Golden Bachelor’ Fans React To The Messy Season Finale And Gerry’s ‘Cheap Ass’

The Golden Bachelor Leslie
ABC

Warning: Spoilers ahead for The Golden Bachelor finale. Do not — I repeat do NOT — move forward if you don’t want to know which woman the 72-year-old retired restaurateur picked to marry.

The season finale of America’s new favorite pastime, The Golden Bachelor, aired on ABC last night, though not everyone has seen it yet, thanks to Hulu‘s waiting game.

Those who have seen it know that Gerry picked 70-year-old Theresa from New Jersey, leaving fan-favorite Leslie without a golden husband-to-be, though fans have been speculating that Leslie would make the perfect first Golden Bachelorette.

There was a lot of drama surrounding both the finale and its protagonist Gerry, whose past dating life was recently meticulously mapped out in The Hollywood Reporter. The outlet reported that Gerry was not entirely truthful with his past, and has been dishonest about his journey. Everything in BachelorNation is a “journey,” by the way, so keep that in mind.

Despite the Hulu delay and overall disappointment with Gerry, viewers still enjoyed The Golden Bachelor, if not for what it is, for what it could be now that ABC has given it a chance. Here’s what the fans had to say about the messy finale:

We need reality shows with more old people with regrettable tattoos and fewer influencers looking for Instagram brand deals, honestly. This is the future of TV.
