Jennifer Lawrence addressed the rumors that she’s gotten plastic surgery during a chat for Interview with Kylie Jenner, who she dubbed “one of the most successful business women who’s ever lived.” The No Hard Feelings actress asked Ms. Wonka about bringing “contouring lips into the mainstream” and whether that was something she learned by herself or from a makeup artist. “I think it started because I just wanted big, fat, juicy lips, and I just wanted that illusion that I had fuller lips. But no one taught me. When I started doing that, I wasn’t really working with makeup artists and stuff,” Jenner replied.

Lawrence called it “incredible what makeup can do because I work with Hung [Vanngo], who overlines the lip, and I call him a plastic surgeon, because everybody in the last few months since I’ve been working with him is convinced that I had eye surgery.” When Jenner expressed disbelief about the rumors, she added, “I didn’t have eye surgery. I’m doing makeup.”

Jenner: “Oh my god. You know, you’ve been looking amazing. Have you always worked with him?”

Lawrence: “Well, apparently I’ve had full plastic surgery.” [Laughs]

Jenner: “No, I’ve been seeing the pictures. It doesn’t look like that.”

Lawrence: “Oh, thank you.”

Lawrence later added, “I started at 19, so I get the before and after pictures from when I’m 19 to 30 and I’m like, ‘I grew up. I lost baby weight in my face, and my face changed because I’m aging.’ Everybody thought I had a nose job, and I’m like, ‘I’ve had the exact same nose. My cheeks got smaller. Thank you for bringing it up.’”

Is there plastic surgery to make myself look younger? Because after realizing Winter’s Bone came out 13 years ago, I feel ancient.

Next year marks the 40th anniversary of Rob Reiner’s This Is Spinal Tap, and it seems it just might be time for fans to get a follow-up film. During a new appearance on the RHLSTP With Richard Herring podcast (as Billboard notes), the director confirmed that filming for it will begin in February 2024.

Not only that, but the original actors — Christopher Guest (Nigel Tufnel), Michael McKean (David St. Hubbins), and Harry Shearer (Derek Smalls) — will all be returning as their characters. “We’re making a sequel,” Reiner revealed. “Everybody’s back.”

As for some of the cameos that will be in the forthcoming sequel, Reiner pointed out that Paul McCartney, Elton John, and Garth Brooks will be a part of it, along with a “few other surprises.”

He had also been discussing Spinal Tap II, including during an interview with Deadline last year.

“I can tell you hardly a day goes by without someone saying, ‘Why don’t you do another one?’” Reiner shared. “For so many years, we said, ‘Nah.’ It wasn’t until we came up with the right idea how to do this. You don’t want to just do it, to do it. You want to honor the first one and push it a little further with the story.”

Here’s hoping fans will be able to find more about Reiner’s other sequel surprises soon.

Marjorie Taylor Greene once reported comedian Jimmy Kimmel to the U.S. Capitol Police for making a slap joke about her. Now she’s demanding to be on his show. “Hey @jimmykimmel since most of your show content is your nonstop lies about me, why don’t you have me on your show?” the far-right Georgia representative wrote on X last week after the Jimmy Kimmel Live host mocked her new book, MTG. “I’ll bring you a copy of my book and we can chat about what needs to happen to SAVE AMERICA!”

It does not sound like Kimmel will be accepting the offer.

“I guess I’m a Hollywood libtard that’s part of the celebrity pedophile Satan club,” he said in his monologue during Monday’s episode. “Until she has a book to promote, then ‘I’d love to swing by!’” After reminding viewers about the calling-the-police-over-a-joke incident, he continued, “Though I have to admit, part of me wants to invite her here so I can let her wait for an hour down in the green room doing power squats — and then bump her. Even just to screw with Matt Damon it would be fun. But I also don’t want rabies so…”

But why would Taylor Greene want to go on Kimmel’s show in the first place? Probably because MTG is ranked #11,646 among all books on Amazon. “Marjorie Taylor Greene’s book is such a bomb,” Kimmel joked, “I might have to report it to the Capitol Police.”

Over Thanksgiving weekend, Metro Boomin took to X (formerly Twitter) to reveal he wants a bigger presence on YouTube. This sparked a conversation that unveiled his perspective on something he thinks is “ruining” music.

On November 25, the producer (who’s behind hits like Post Malone’s “Congratulations” and The Weeknd’s “Heartless”) tweeted, “About to start uploading regularly to my YouTube again like back in the days.. what type of videos do you guys want? (I don’t like the word content, it’s annoying now).”

In response, Nav shared the tweet and replied, “finally a musician who ain’t trying to be mysterious and sh*t.” Metro replied, “The fake mysterious sh*t with artists is ruining the game!! Everybody too cool.”

As for Metro’s original question about the kinds of videos he should make, he got some good answers. Responses included, “Would love a breakdown of some of your most iconic beats + stories of how the songs came around in the first place,” “Videos on beats & producing (tutorials & creating beats for videos & explaining the process),” “Post Randomly rare vids of u and musicians. Mainly freestyles or just havin fun,” and, “I want a whole video series where you talk about sound choice and design. You’ve always had some of the most curated sounds out there.”

For the most part, fax machines are an outdated technology in 2023. There are still some people out there who rely on them today, though, including doctors, lawyers… and Dolly Parton.

In a recent interview on The Drew Barrymore Show, Parton explained her stance on modern technology, saying, “I’m a low-tech girl in a high-tech world, but I surround myself with all these people that are into the high-tech world. But I don’t want to talk to everybody that wants to talk to me. I don’t text ’cause I don’t want to have to answer. If somebody calls me, I’ll answer if I want to talk to them, or I’ll call them back when I can. Otherwise, I got too much to think about than to clutter my mind up with everything else. I’m certainly not a stupid person: I could learn it if I wanted to, but I’d rather just have my fax machine, call in my creative stuff to my crew, and I’ve got the best crew in the world and I surround myself with great people, but I just don’t have time to just sit with my face in a phone all day.”

Parton’s tech stance echoes what Miley Cyrus said about her in a 2022 interview with Seth Meyers. Chatting about her and Parton’s 2022 T-Mobile Super Bowl commercial, Cyrus said, “It was amazing because she was doing it for the phones, yet every time I coordinate and communicate with Dolly, it’s still through fax. So I don’t know what she’s talking about. She’s rarely on the phone.” She added, “We do use the phone, but she does a fax and then someone scans the fax, and then they put it into a text message, and then that gets sent to me.”

In July, metalheads jumped at the chance to catch Ozzy Osbourne during the inaugural 2023 Power Trip Festival. Unfortunately, the rocker was forced to drop out of the event due to health complications. The show bounced back by securing Judas Priest as the headlining act. However, fans still yearned for the Prince of Darkness to grace a stage near them. So, will Ozzy Osbourne ever perform live again?

According to the musician’s sit down with Rolling Stone UK for its December/January 2024 issue, as much as he wants to based on medical advisement, it doesn’t look like it.

“I’m taking it one day at a time, and if I can perform again, I will. But it’s been like saying farewell to the best relationship of my life. At the start of my illness, when I stopped touring, I was really pissed off with myself, the doctors, and the world. But as time has gone on, I’ve just gone, ‘Well, maybe I’ve just got to accept that fact,’” said Osbourne.

He later added, “That’s one of the things I’ve been the most fucking pissed off at. I never got the chance to say goodbye or thank you… If I can’t continue doing shows on a regular basis, I just want to be well enough to do one show where I can say, ‘Hi guys, thanks so much for my life.’ That’s what I’m working towards, and if I drop down dead at the end of it, I’ll die a happy man.”

It’s been nearly a year since SZA shared her highly anticipated sophomore album, SOS. Since then, the project has dominated the music charts and helped her sweep the awards season, including at the 2023 Billboard and Soul Train Awards. SOS is also predicted to sweep the 2024 Grammy Awards as SZA is the most nominated act of the year. Now that she’s wrapped up her record-setting supporting tour, fans are begging for the album’s deluxe version.

So when will SOS Deluxe album Lana come out? According to SZA’s recent activity on X (formerly Twitter), it will be soon. In a screenshot by Pop Crave, as one fan hypothesized that the project would be released along with a lead single and video in December, SZA seemed to subtly agree by liking the post.

On September 8, SZA revealed details about the album during a private show. “So, the deluxe is like a whole ‘nother album. It’s called ‘Lana.’ It’s seven to ten songs, and it’ll be out this fall,” she said in a video captured by an attendee.

Last month, SZA hinted that the project would get its own intimate mini-tour in the cities that showed the most support during her initial North American stops.

Robert De Niro has never been shy about trash-talking Donald Trump. Before the 2016 election he took part in a video urging people to vote, in which he went off, called him a “punk,” a “dog,” a “pig,” a “bullsh*t artist,” and said he’d “like to punch him in the face.” De Niro was going to do some more Trump dragging Monday night at the Gotham Awards. He did do that, but only after the powers-that-be allegedly tried to censor him.

Per Deadline, the legendary actor took part in a tribute to Killers of the Flower Moon, his latest collaboration with director Martin Scorsese. At the start of his speech it seems like he’s struggling with the teleprompter. He eventually explained there was a reason for that.

“The beginning of my speech was edited, cut out. I didn’t know about it,” he told the crowd. “And I want to read it,” he said as he took out paper from his pocket containing what he meant to say:

“History isn’t history anymore. Truth is not truth. Even facts are being replaced by alternative facts and driven by conspiracy theories and ugliness. In Florida young students are taught that slaves develop skills which can be applied for their personal benefit. The entertainment industry isn’t immune to this festering disease. The Duke John Wayne famously said of Native Americans, I don’t feel we did wrong and taking this great country away from that. There were great numbers of people who needed new land and the Indians were selfishly trying to keep it for themselves.

“Lying has become just another tool in the charlatans’ arsenal. The former president lied to us more than 30,000 times during his four years in office, and he’s keeping up the pace in his current campaign of retribution. But with all his lies, he can’t hide his soul. He attacks the weak, destroys the gifts of nature, and shows disrespect, for example by using Pocahontas as a slur.”

That brought him full circle to what he told the crowd at the start of his presentation, saying that filmmakers “at least aim for the truth,” including when they’re “telling stories about real people,” as in Killers of the Flower Moon.

But he wasn’t done. He made sure to torch both the Gothams and Apple, who produced the film, for allegedly snipping his speech.

“So I’m going to say these things but—to Apple and thank them and all that. Gotham, blah blah blah, Apple, but—I don’t feel like thanking them at all for what they did,” he said. “How dare they do that, actually.”

Elsewhere at the Gothams, the immigration drama Past Lives took home Best Feature, the German drama Anatomy of a Fall nabbed both Screenplay and International Feature, and Ali Wong won Outstanding Performance in a New Series for Beef (which also won Breakthrough Television Under 40 Minutes). Meanwhile, Flower Moon star Lily Gladstone won for Lead Performance not for that film but for The Unknown Country.

On Christmas Day, The Color Purple is set to dazzle another generation of filmgoers. In the new adaptation of the musical version of Alice Walker’s beloved novel, Fantasia will reprise the role she played on Broadway. But the all-star cast doesn’t stop there. Halle Bailey, Jon Batiste, HER, Ciara, and more will appear. Given the film’s musical legacy, the soundtrack has enormous shoes to fill.

On Monday, November 27, it was revealed that a jam-packed lineup of musicians set to appear on the album. Two of the film’s stars, HER and Halle Bailey, will lend their voice to the soundtrack, which is executive produced by Quincy Jones and Scott Sanders. It will also include Alicia Keys, Usher, Mary J. Blige, Megan Thee Stallion, Jennifer Hudson, Keyshia Cole, Jorja Smith, Coco Jones, Ciara, Mary Mary, and Missy Elliott.

The soundtrack’s first taste came from Alicia Keys’ song “Lifeline.” You can listen to the single below. The soundtrack will be shared on December 15 via WaterTower Music and Gamma.

Walker’s novel was first filmed by Steven Spielberg in 1985, with a cast that included Whoopi Goldberg, Danny Glover, Oprah Winfrey, and Margaret Avery. It was a hit that earned 10 Academy Award nominations.

The Color Purple will hit theaters on December 25.
