It’s time to star putting plans in place for next year’s festival season, because organizers are starting to reveal lineups: Today (November 21), the Primavera Sound Barcelona lineup for 2024 was unveiled.

The fest takes place from May 29 to June 2 and headlining this year’s lineup are Lana Del Rey, Pulp, SZA, Disclosure, FKA Twigs, Justice, Mitski, The National, Phoenix, PJ Harvey, and Vampire Weekend.

A number of recent polls show that Joe Biden is trailing Donald Trump in a hypothetical 2024 rematch. CNN reports that the former guy is ahead of the current guy 49 percent to 45 percent, as “Biden’s reelection chances are buffeted by deeply negative approval ratings, a stagnant sense that things are going poorly in the United States, diminished support among key voter blocs, and a widespread sense that he is not up for the job.”

Mixing up Taylor Swift and Britney Spears ain’t helping, either.

Late Night host Seth Meyers once again noted that the election is a year away (may God have mercy on us all), and he’s not panicking. “I’m staying calm, cool, confident, collected. That’s just the new me, the new Seth. I don’t wear a suit. I don’t cut my hair. I don’t freak out about polls a full year before the election,” he said. In years past, he might have, say, been up all popping Xanax and/or biting his fingernails down to the bone, but not anymore.

The new Seth isn’t worried about the possibility of a “twice-impeached wannabe dictator who orchestrated a coup attempt, is facing four indictments, call his political opponents ‘vermin,’ and dances like a dad at a SZA concert” becoming president — again. The other reason Meyers isn’t worried? He has “a go bag, so I can get the f*ck out of here. I got my passport, a change of clothes, $10,000 in cash, and a webcam so I can do the show from a country that won’t extradite to the U.S.”

Nobody should expect Joe Biden to be up to date on all the latest pop culture happenings: In addition to being an 81-year-old man, his duties as President Of The United States probably tend to keep him pretty busy. He’s trying his best, though, but that didn’t stop him from confusing Britney Spears and Taylor Swift while pardoning a couple of turkeys.

Yesterday (November 20), Biden gave a pre-Thanksgiving speech in which he pardoned two turkeys, named Liberty and Bell (as NME reports). After noting that the two birds were pardoned after a trek spanning thousands of miles, he joked about their “difficult journey,” quipping, “You could say it’s harder than getting a ticket to the Renaissance tour, or or or… for Britney’s tour. She’s down in… it’s kind of warm in Brazil right now.”

There were no issues with his reference to Beyoncé’s latest tour, but he fumbled when it came to Spears. She’s not on tour at the moment and actually may never tour again: In response to media coverage of her new book The Woman In Me, Spears wrote, “that’s exactly why I quit the business 4 years ago !!!”

Given that Swift’s The Eras Tour is in Brazil right now — and that, alongside the Renaissance tour, is one of the biggest concert events of the year — that’s presumably what Biden was referring to. As for his comment about the weather: Swift recently had to postpone a show due to the extreme heat the country was facing.

Taylor Swift’s time outside the country has been rocky. Since the singer’s international The Eras Tour wing started, she’s experienced a series of unfortunate events.

While in Argentina, a freak rainstorm forced her to cancel the performance on the second night. Over the weekend, a heatwave in Brazil required Swift to push back a show. Sadly, before the rescheduled performance, a fan tragically died. Once Swift made it back on stage, she honored the deceased by singing her song “Bigger Than The Whole Sky.”

That night, Swift also struggled with her footing after she broke a heel onstage. Social aggregator platform Pop Crave reposted a claim to its official X (formerly Twitter) that a concertgoer smuggled the broken end of the shoe into their purse.

After the clip went viral, fans chimed in as many hoped it would end up on a bidding website.

“That’s gonna go for bank on eBay,” penned one user.

“That’s going to be worth a whole lot of money someday,” wrote another.

“This fan is about to make a fortune on eBay,” added another.

“The heel should go for auction to raise funds for the victim’s family,” suggested one, referring to the late fan. If the microphone Cardi B tossed while in Las Vegas could be auctioned off for nearly $100,000 in charity, the lucky Swiftie could certainly do the same.

Week 11 of the 2023 NFL season wrapped up on Monday evening with one of the most highly anticipated games of the campaign. The Kansas City Chiefs welcomed the Philadelphia Eagles to Arrowhead Stadium for a Super Bowl rematch and, for 60 minutes, it was a competitive and interesting football game. Kansas City built a 17-7 lead, only for Philadelphia to respond with a pair of touchdowns to take control, and Patrick Mahomes had the ball with enough time to build a credible comeback bid.

However, Mahomes and the Chiefs fell short of their goal in the final minutes, and it was Kansas City’s receiving corps that let the quarterback down. The most glaring example of that shortcoming came on second down from near midfield when Mahomes uncorked a picture-perfect pass to Marquez Valdes-Scantling that should have resulted in a go-ahead touchdown. But, well, it did not.

This is a stone-cold drop, of course, and while the Chiefs did have more chances, that was the single biggest swing of the game. It also perpetuated a concern for Kansas City in the absence of any truly established pass-catchers aside from Travis Kelce. For good measure, Mahomes delivered another catchable ball on fourth down and long just a few seconds later, only to see Justin Watson fail to secure the catch.

And after the game, Valdes-Scantling was unsurprisingly frustrated.

In the end, Kansas City out-gained Philadelphia by nearly 100 yards, but the home team simply did not execute in the second half. In fact, the Chiefs were scoreless after halftime and, with the combination of these drops and a costly fumble by Kelce, the reigning champs will undoubtedly be kicking themselves for letting one get away in a high-profile situation.

Future daddy and inflatable couch fan Robert Pattinson has never seemed that interested in being your standard movie stud. He’ll do Batman, but he’d rather team up with iconoclastic filmmakers, like the Safdie brothers or Claire Denis. Even as an up-and-comer before Twilight he didn’t aspire to hotness. In fact, according to the first film’s director, he almost didn’t get the job of Edward Cullen because he was, well, not that hot (yet).

“When he came over to my house, he had black bangs for hair and was kind of out of shape because he was hanging out at the pub all the time,” recalled Catherine Hardwicke during an appearance on the podcast Watchalong, per Entertainment Weekly.

Still, Hardwicke was taken with him and she shot some “fun” audition footage of him and his future co-star Kristen Stewart, and sure enough, he looked the part, almost.

“I thought ‘it works not just in person, but it works on screen.’ I had to be sure,” Hardwicke explained. “Of course in person I just got carried away, but you have to be sure — does it really translate [to the screen]?”

Alas, distribution company Summit Entertainment were suspect.

“I sent it to Summit and he went over to meet them,” Hardwicke remembered. “They called me back and go, ‘Do you think you can make this guy look good?’ I said, ‘Yeah, I do. Did you see his cheekbones? We’re doing a makeover on the hair and everything and he’s going to start working out and he’s going to be gorgeous.’ But they didn’t believe it at first. He walked over there with a stained shirt… It was Rob.”

The rest, of course, is history, although Pattinson has spoken ill of the horrors he’s endured to stay in shape. He even got into trouble, both with the fan community and his own trainer, when he admitted during the quarantine break on The Batman that he doesn’t work out. Maybe leave the guy alone so he can work with cool directors instead of squeezing into tight comic book movie pants.

Burna Boy, Bad Bunny, and Dua Lipa are part of a wave of international artists who have dominated the American charts. Another is Tyla. Thanks to her viral song, “Water,” the Grammy Award nominee is bringing the flair of Johannesburg, South Africa to every corner of the globe. The song’s fusion of pop, R&B, Afrobeats, and amapiano has made Tyla a new artist to watch.

But what is the song actually about? Let’s just say when Tyla sings the chorus — “Make me sweat, make me hotter / Make me lose my breath, make me water / Make me sweat, make me hotter / Make me lose my breath, make me water” — it’s more than her just being steamy.

Tyla hasn’t said what the record is about, but the lyrics leave little room for interpretation. Fans online have given their attempts at the “Water Challenge,” in which they tried to recreate the drenching dance break in the video. Some offered a theory: It’s about a woman’s desire to reach a squirting orgasm. Unfortunately, Travis Scott didn’t lean into the concept when he appeared on the song’s official remix.

This wouldn’t be the first time a raunchy sex song was cleverly masked by poetic songwriting. Aaliyah’s “Rock The Boat,” Britney Spears’ “If U Seek Amy,” and Def Leppard’s “Pour Some Sugar On Me” are just a few examples.

Carter is incredibly quick for his size — the dude is 6’3 and 314 pounds — and on Monday night, he nearly showed off his ability to see things and react. The Kansas City Chiefs were trying to spike the ball in the waning moments of the first half to set up a field goal, which is usually a pretty cut and dry thing. Patrick Mahomes took the snap and successfully spiked the ball, but as it turns out, Carter was really, really close to picking him off.
