Joshua Ray Walker — Tuesday, December 5, 2023

The show will have its first musical guest of the week on Tuesday. Budding country music talent Joshua Ray Walker is set to serenade the studio audience. With a new holiday single, “Christmas In Dallas,” and his latest album, What Is It Even?, available on streaming platforms, Walker has options on what to treat the crowd to.

Other guests slated to make a cameo on Tuesday’s episode include Leo comedian Bill Burr and Killers of the Flower Moon actress Lily Gladstone.

Grupo Frontera — Wednesday, December 6, 2023

Leave the World Behind actor Mahershala Ali and Past Lives star Greta Lee will sit down for interviews with Kimmel. Mexican rock band Grupo Frontera is the featured performer. Grupo Frontera has collaborated with other Latin stars, such as Bad Bunny.

Atarashii Gakko! — Thursday, December 7, 2023

On Thursday, all of the guests are musicians by trade. Adam Levine is set to appear. Halle Bailey will also appear, not to perform her solo debut single, “Angel,” but to discuss her role in the new film version of The Color Purple. The confirmed musical guest for the evening is the girl group Atarashii Gakko!

No Performer — Friday, December 8, 2023

At this time, Jimmy Jimmy Live! hasn’t confirmed any special appearances or musical guests for Friday’s show.

The good news: There’s a new trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI. It’s the series’ first since Grand Theft Auto V from all the way back in 2013. But the wait is over, right? Well, there’s also bad news: Round six isn’t due until sometime in 2025. And people inevitably lost their minds over the news.

First off, the trailer promises more sociopathic mayhem, this time with the series’ first female protagonist. Her name is Lucia and she’s one-half of a criminal couple tearing through a fictionalized version of Miami. The latest installment promises what a press release described as “the biggest, most immersive” installment yet, allowing players to travel to “the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond.”

Sounds fun! What many didn’t think sounded fun, though, was that it won’t drop for another year-plus.

While GTA fans will have to be extra patient for more, they did get something early: The trailer, which was supposed to drop on Tuesday, instead arrived on Monday. Perhaps the early release had something to do with it being leaked early, prompting a quick response from Rockstar and/or Twitter/X.

The mixup caused a lot of jokes as well.

Grand Theft Auto 6 has a history with leaks. Last year someone surreptitiously released chunks of the in-development game online, in what was dubbed one of the biggest leaks in history.

After the trailer was released, another funny thing happened: People started talking about Grand Theft Auto 7, which, given the lengthy wait in between GTA releases, should be a good long while, too.

Anyway, hold steadfast, GTA heads. You can watch the trailer for 6 in the video above.

The ManningCast is known for going in … let’s call it pretty strange directions. Peyton and Eli Manning’s occasional simulcast during Monday Night Football games will bring in folks from worlds of sports and entertainment who use the laid back environment as an opportunity to have a little bit of fun, which occasionally leads to things like “Arnold Schwarzenegger brought his donkey onto the show.”

Fast forward to Monday night, when Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa joined the Mannings during the game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Jacksonville Jaguars. While it’s a game that Tagovailoa could watch closely due to the way it impacts the Miami Dolphins — Jacksonville is fighting for the No. 1 seed in the AFC, Cincinnati has a shot of sneaking into the playoffs and potentially being a team Miami will have to play — he decided to go in another direction and show off his ability to play Eric Clapton’s “Tears in Heaven” on a guitar.

After responding to Peyton’s request for “Rocky Top” by playing “Sweet Home Alabama,” Tagovailoa thought for a second about what he could do. He then confidently said that he could play “Tears in Heaven,” and credit to him, that is certainly “Tears in Heaven.” Peyton tried to have some fun by singing stuff that happened in the game to the tune of Clapton’s song, but I will be 100 percent honest: That is second here to the fact that I could have had 1,000 guesses as to what Tua would play here and I would have not ended up on “Tears in Heaven.”

The team at The Late Show With Stephen Colbert has kicked things into overdrive following its relatively relaxed Thanksgiving week programming schedule. Last week, David Letterman returned triumphantly to the beloved late-night program, but the musical guests were sparse. That currently isn’t the case this week.

Tonight, to start the week off, host Stephen Colbert will sit down for a chat with The Bear actress Sarah Paulson and musician Jason Isbell. Isbell and his band, The 400 Unit, will also serve as the featured entertainer for Monday’s episode. The group is expected to perform tracks from their album Weathervanes.

Daniel Ceasar — Tuesday, December 5, 2023

Mark Ruffalo will join Colbert for a conversation on the couch. As far as the guest performer, Daniel Caesar will take up that mantel. Viewers are hoping to hear records from his latest project, Never Enough.

Nicki Minaj — Wednesday, December 6, 2023

According to The Late Show’s programming schedule, Wednesday is set to feature two special guests. Both Nicki Minaj and Sara Bareilles are listed as featured cameos. Although the schedule does not explicitly state that Nicki will perform, fans have their fingers crossed. On Friday, December 8, Nicki’s long-awaited album, Pink Friday 2, is set to hit streaming platforms, so a surprise live set will serve as a cherry on top.

Sara Bareilles — Thursday, December 7, 2023

While Sara Bareilles is scheduled to appear the day prior, the show’s schedule notes that her performance won’t air until Thursday, December 7. As for the interviewee for the show, former representative Liz Cheney and Oath and Honor author will take up that mantle.

No Performer — Friday, December 8, 2023

As of today, no new episode will air. Instead The Late Show will re-air its’ October 25, 2023 broadcast in which both the band Talking Heads and comedian Mae Martin sat down for interviews.

Over the years, Ashanti has been revisiting her music catalog. The “Gotta Move On” singer is aiming to pull a Taylor Swift, which is to say hoping to regain the masters of her older albums. While reminiscing on the past, Ashanti happened to reconnect with a very famous ex, Nelly. Since their lovey-dovey Las Vegas performance in April, the pair haven’t left each other’s side. Now, their romantic party of two might be expanding soon.

On Monday, December 4, US Weekly alleged that Ashanti and Nelly are expecting their first child together. Fans online quickly elated over the rumor, given that the couple dated on and off for nearly 10 years. Given the news, it’s worth asking how many kids does Ashanti have?

The answer is: Ashanti doesn’t have any children. As for Nelly, he has four children of his own: two children (a daughter and son) from prior relationships and two adopted children. Nelly’s adoptive children are his biological niece and nephew. Nelly formerly adopted his niece and nephew following the death of his sister Jackie, who battled health complications from leukemia.

If Ashanti is indeed expecting, this would make for Nelly’s third biological child.

While we are still more than a year away from the actual release, the highly anticipated first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI dropped on Monday night — a day early after it leaked online and Rockstar chose to just go ahead put it up on their official channel.

The trailer introduces us to the first female protagonist in the game’s history, Lucia, and you get a taste of the story arc that has a couple robbing their way through Vice City, as the game returns to the fictionalized Miami streets. However, GTA VI will go far beyond the city, as it gives us a glimpse at the larger state of Leonida, clearly a version of Florida, complete with alligators strolling into convenience stores, redneck get togethers in the mud, and plenty of the usual debauchery in the city.

The official release for the game from Rockstar offers a one sentence statement on the game’s general plot.

“Grand Theft Auto VI heads to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet.”

The release date is simply some time in 2025, so we’ll have a full year of teasers, trailers, and snippets of information that will trickle out about the game until we get it finally in our hands in more than a year.

Some dog owners avoid saying words like “walk,” “ride” or “treat” in front of their dogs because they know it will get the dogs overly excited.

One dog mom decided to test her luck by holding a fake phone conversation while her dog was nearby and it was shared to social media by HrtWarming. The conversation was about as nonsensical as it could get because no one else was on the other end of the phone.

“Yeah, did you get the treats? Well, he specifically wanted peanut butter. Yeah. Peanut butter treats. Yeah because we’re going to go for a ride later,” She says. “I think we’re going to go for a ride and go to daycare. Camp. Yeah.”

At this point the dog is pretty invested in the conversation as he keeps tilting his head from side to side but as the random conversation goes on, he gets more excited.

By the sounds of the conversation, he’s in for a pretty busy day of eating treats, going to doggy daycare, visiting several dog buddies and his grandma. The head tilts as he figures out if he needs to go get his own leash are hysterical. In the end it was the mention of tacos that sent him running to the door even though he doesn’t know what a taco is according to his mom. Commenters thought his reactions were adorable.

“I love watching the dogs reaction.,and the way he move his head, so cute,” someone says.

“This is just too funny but dogs actually do know what you’re talking about especially your key words walk treats grandma and the dogs that she her does she knows and this is hilarious thank you for sharing brought my day up,” another commenter writes.

“It’s time you make him a taco! I love watching his face with each word he understood. So cute,” someone else writes.

Musical prodigies have fascinated people for centuries with their mastery of music at unexpected ages. Most of us have the same questions: How and at what age were their abilities discovered? Is it nature or nurture or a combination of both? Can prodigies be created on purpose, or is it something no one can predict or control?

While each musical prodigy has their own unique story, one family is giving the world some early glimpses of what an innate sense for music looks like in a baby who’s still in diapers.

Plenty of 1 1/2-year-old’s like to pound piano keys to see what they sound like, but Gavrill Sherbenko’s piano play goes far beyond experimenting with sound. He and his chubby little fingers make actual chords and coordinate notes between his two hands.

At first, it might look like he’s randomly playing keys, but it quickly becomes clear that he is purposeful in his playing.

Watching more videos of Gavrill at the piano, we see that his musicality hasn’t just appeared out of nowhere. Like most musical prodigies, he’s living in a musical household. In some videos, he sits on his sister’s lap watching her fingers intently as she plays and sings. In others, he sits on his mother’s or father’s lap as he experiments with the sounds of the piano, with or without them.

But sometimes he plays totally on his own, and it’s clear that he’s already got an astounding understanding of the relationships between notes and how to form chords, both from observing what his family is doing and from hands-on practice himself.

But again, even in very musical families, this kind of musicality at this young of an age is astounding.

The best part of the videos of Gavrill at the piano is how much joy and love there are in each one. This is not a Beethoven being boxed about the ears for making a mistake on the piano situation. Yes, his family members are teaching him to understand what he’s doing on the piano, but he seems to be enjoying it and so do they. A sports-loving family would toss and kick a ball around with a toddler; this family makes music together.

A nurturing environment meeting an innate sensibility is what prodigious ability is made of. And when those elements are combined with genuine enjoyment, it’s the best of all worlds—and a delight to witness.

Watch how Gavrill is able to play the solfege that his sister sings. It’s absolutely incredible, not only that he knows the notes to play to go with her pitches, but that he has the manual dexterity and fine motor control to play like he does at his age.

Assuming he continues to enjoy playing it, it will be fun to see where all of this leads as he develops his gifts further. As one commenter said, “Get the tuxedo ready!”

On Friday George Santos was expelled from Congress, but he may have already found his second act. He’s joined Cameo, the popular video messaging service that celebrities sometimes use for some extra scratch. He’s even charging a lofty sum: $200 a pop. It seems he’s already making bank, including making videos to troll some of his former colleagues in Congress.

Per Mediaite, among Santo’s Cameo customers was John Fetterman, the famously trolly Democratic senator from Pennsylvania. Fetterman basically used social media to destroy the campaign of his challenger, the Trumpy Dr. Oz. On Monday, he was at it again, this time targeting Bob Menendez, the Democratic senator from New Jersey who’s been indicted on corruption charges but refuses to step down.

“I thought my ethically-challenged colleague @BobMenendezNJ could use some encouragement given his substantial legal problems,” Fetterman wrote while sharing Santos’ video on Twitter/X. “So, I approached a seasoned expert on the matter to give ‘Bobby from Jersey’ some advice.”

Sure enough, there was Santos, a former congressperson who was booted over reams of dodgy behavior, telling Menendez to keep his head up.

“Hey, Bobby!” Santos said. “Look, I don’t think I need to tell you, but these people that want to make you get in trouble and want to kick you out and make you run away, you make them put up or shut up! You stand your ground, sir. And don’t get bogged down by all the haters out there. Stay Strong! Merry Christmas!”

In October, Menendez was indicted for providing sensitive information to the Egyptian government. He was also indicted over federal corruption charges in 2015. Fetterman is among the 30 Senate colleagues who’ve called for him to resign, though so far he’s refused. Maybe a pep talk from a guy who falsely claimed his mom died in the September 11 attacks will make him reconsider.
