Anitta’s Steamy ‘Mil Veces’ Video Depicts A Tumultuous Love Affair With Måneskin’s Damino David

Hot off her performance at the 2023 MTV VMAs, Brazilian pop star Anitta has released a new single, “Mil Veces,” from her upcoming album Funk Generation. “Mil veces” means “a thousand times” in English, and the song makes the lament toward a problematic lover and the ongoing cycle of falling back into old habits while struggling to walk away. “Ya lo hemos hecho mil veces,” she sings (“We have already done it a thousand times”). “It’s a relationship dynamic that many people have already experienced,” she said in the press release for the song. “I think ‘Mil Veces’ will relate to many people.”

In the steamy video, which co-stars Italian rockstar Damiano David of Måneskin, Anitta and David act out the toxic cycle, which includes some passionate shower scenes along with equally heated arguments. In the press release, Anitta says of working with David, “This video is really sexy! Sexy, dynamic, and it has a beautiful aesthetic… working with Damiano, who is endearing and has become a true friend, was incredible. I loved the end result and hope everyone likes it.”

“Mil Veces” is just the latest of Anitta’s efforts to get back to her Brazilian roots on Funk Generation after indulging in a variety of styles and languages on her 2022 album, Versions Of Me. Other efforts to do so include her EP, A Favela Love Story, which featured the song “Casi Casi.”

The San Antonio Spurs Biggest Question And X-Factor For The 2023-24 Season

The San Antonio Spurs are really, really good at getting the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft when franchise-altering big men are available. The team got David Robinson in 1987 with the first overall pick, and a decade later, they found themselves in the same spot when they selected Tim Duncan.

Fast forward to 2023 and Gregg Popovich got the most exciting prospect coming into the league since LeBron James. While it’s an oversimplification to say that the only thing that matters this season is getting Victor Wembanyama used to life in the NBA, the young Frenchman’s ability to consistently impact winning on a nightly basis will be something to watch. Rookies just don’t do that, but rookies aren’t like Wembanyama, who comes to the NBA after playing professionally in France. He has been working for years towards being able to hit the ground running in the league. While San Antonio will lose a bunch of games this year for no reason other than the Western Conference is brutal, Wembanyama is the new face of a talented core that will — if all goes right — lead the Spurs back to the heights they experienced when Robinson and Duncan were in town.

Biggest Question: How Good Will Victor Wembanyama Be Right Away?

The eyes of the basketball watching world are going to be on the Spurs this season explicitly because of Wembanyama. Even his highlights in the preseason make clear that we’ve never quite seen someone like this before — he might already be one of the 10-best defenders in the NBA, as his length, athleticism, and instincts are all things that completely change how an offense wants to attack on that end of the floor. Seriously, what on earth is this?

Just dribbling around him is a recipe for disaster, let alone trying to challenge him at the rim. But the thing that will dictate how good Wembanyama is from the jump in the NBA is his play on the offensive end of the floor. We’ll have to see just how much he’s asked to do right away, especially considering that San Antonio will presumably put him in the starting lineup with two guys who were effective scorers last season in Keldon Johnson and Devin Vassell. It’s not hard to imagine a universe where Popovich decides to bring Wembanyama along slowly, let him get his feet under him, and let him get used to the stuff that you just can’t get used to until you’re actually dropped into an NBA basketball game for the first time.

Having said that, the early returns in the preseason indicate that the Spurs aren’t going to take things easy on him. Through four games, Wembanyama (who has played in three of them) leads San Antonio in points (19.3) and field goal attempts (12.7) per game. His five attempts from three per game is second on the team, behind only Vassell. His usage percentage of 35.2 percent leads the team by a lot. It’s all small sample size stuff, and there’s no guarantee that he’ll dive head-first into being a No. 1 option once the regular season starts, but it at least suggests that Popovich is willing to let him learn on the fly. And if that ends up working out? Perhaps we will, indeed, see a rookie make an All-Star team for the first time in more than a decade.

X-Factor: Jeremy Sochan

There aren’t as many players in the league as weird as Sochan, and this is meant to be a major compliment. Everything about his game is funky — he’s 6’9, a wonderful connecting piece on the offensive end of the floor, finds ways to put his fingerprints all over the place on defense, and plays with a kind of visible joy that is contagious. He has a pretty obvious flaw in his shooting, as he was at 24.6% on threes last year and started shooting free throws with one hand last year, but he also just turned 20 and has a ton of growing as a basketball player ahead of him.

He’s known Wembanyama for quite some time, and the two of them are interesting compliments for one another. Wembanyama is obviously the superstar, face of the franchise guy, while Sochan seems incredibly content to do whatever is asked of him to help his team win. That sort of player is invaluable if you’re an up-and-coming squad that is trying to build an identity, and seeing as how we have a pretty good understanding of what Johnson and Vassell (both of whom agreed to long-term extension with the team) are going to be as pros, Sochan’s malleability is a superpower. His individual development, particularly as a shooter, is going to be fascinating to watch, and it’s going to be fun watching all the ways Pop uses him to try and unlock the best version of Sochan.

‘Puentin Tarantino’: ‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Fans Are Losing It After A Former NFL Player’s Historically Awful Guess

At a certain point on Wheel of Fortune, the nerves have got to hit you and you might really blank on a name or topic. It’s not for us normal people (the viewers) to judge, but it does happen much too often. So, it’s unfortunate that former NFL running back Rashad Jennings seemed to have gotten a little too frazzled when answering what should have been a pretty easy puzzle. It’s pretty rare for a “Q” to be guessed, anyway!!!!! It really is the second least frequently used letter in the English language, so just…think about that before you proceed.

During the Celebrity Wheel of Fortune competition, Jennings played against fellow former NFL players Marcellus Wiley and Jared Allen, but he couldn’t solve one of the almost-finished puzzles.

The phrase “DRIVING TO RENO WITH _UENTIN TARANTINO” was on the board, and at this point, if you have even just a minuscule amount of knowledge of movies, feet, and/or topical Halloween costumes, then you should know the answer is Q for Quentin Tarantino. But Jennings had a different answer and guessed the letter P for…Puentin. That wasn’t correct and suddenly Pat Sajak is remembering why he is retiring.

Jennings wasn’t that bummed–after all, he was on the Giants for long enough that he was used to losing. He’ll be fine with some mild bullying that he has since received online. There’s been quite a bit:

Tarantino on the other hand probably does not care, as he’s busy talking about making his allegedly final movie. Then when he’s retired, maybe he can go on Wheel and guess some sports puzzles. It will be a real full-circle moment.

Travis Kelce Is The Latest NFL Player To Lose A Bet Because His College Football Team Lost

Perhaps no player in the NFL has had a bigger year than Travis Kelce. A member of the reigning Super Bowl champs, Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs have started 5-1 this season — their only loss came in a game where he couldn’t play. More so, Kelce’s new romance with Taylor Swift has made him on of the most famous people in America. The new notoriety has helped launch “New Heights,” his podcast with his brother and Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, to the top of the charts. Basically, it’s a good time to be the future Hall of Fame inductee.

Unfortunately, that good fortune has not spread to every part of Kelce’s life. Recently, Kelce made a friendly wager that his alma mater, the University of Cincinnati, would beat Iowa State in a football game. Cincinnati lost 30-10, which required Kelce to wear an Iowa State mascot head to his next press conference.

Kelce was a third-round pick out of Cincinnati in 2013 and the Bearcats certainly could have used the Pro Bowl tight end last weekend. Kelce isn’t the only NFL player to put a little too much faith in their alma mater over the last week, as Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown recently lost a friendly wager on the USC-Notre Dame game and ended up in a leprechaun costume in the locker room.

With all the good fortune for Kelce lately, he was due for a small loss. He’ll have the opportunity to get back to his winning ways when the Chiefs play the Los Angeles Chargers this weekend.

Please Call Your Dad And Tell Him ‘Yellowstone’ Season 2 Is Coming To CBS Very Soon

When it comes to pulling in ratings, Yellowstone has been a juggernaut for both streaming and broadcast TV. The Taylor Sheridan-created western series routinely draws record ratings when it airs new episodes on the Paramount Network, and it still continues to be a draw to Peacock, who secured one of the luckiest streaming deals in TV history.

Realizing it had an ace up its sleeve, Paramount Global found a quick fix for CBS’s Fall schedule after the dual writers’ and actors’ strike brought production to a halt in Hollywood. The network would simply air episodes from Yellowstone Season 1 and hope for the best. To the surprise of no one, it was a solid bet, as Yellowstone brought in dynamite ratings despite airing episodes that were over five years old and watered down from their usual profanity and sex-filled escapades.

Naturally, CBS isn’t about to rock the gravy train. The network is going to continue plowing through the Yellowstone library by airing Season 2 starting on October 29. Why mess with a good thing?

Via The Hollywood Reporter:

Season one of Yellowstone, whose cast is headed by Kevin Costner (at least for the already completed seasons) had its CBS premiere on Sept. 17 and has averaged 5.49 million viewers per episode, according to the most current Nielsen ratings for the show. It has consistently been the most watched entertainment show on Sunday nights in the early weeks of the TV season. The network says more than half of the CBS audience — 52 percent, to be exact — is new to the series.

Just like Paramount is no doubt kicking itself for signing a streaming deal with Peacock instead of saving the show for its own Paramount+, HBO has to regret letting the show slip through its fingers. Creator Taylor Sheridan revealed that the premium channel was originally developing the series, but ultimately felt it was too “middle America.” Tough break, HBO.

Yellowstone airs Sundays on CBS until it runs out of episodes, apparently.

It Sure Sounds Like A ‘The View’ Co-Host Shaded Meghan McCain While Piling Onto Nepo Babies

The Nepo Baby controversy is actually a tale as old as time, but the subject has taken on new life of late, and Oscar winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow (whose parents are director Bruce Paltrow and actress Blythe Danner) recently went on record to say that this is an overblown concept. In Gwyneth’s mind, parents of all careers are likely to (intentionally or not) influence their children to follow in their footsteps by talking shop at the dinner table or something. There’s a wider discussion at work on what it means to be self-made, but that’s also a topic for another day.

In the meantime, The View ladies caught wind of Gwyneth’s goopy declarations. Ana Navarro had plenty to say in response, although she believes that Gwyneth belongs to the camp (like Liza Minnelli) of “people who may have started off as a nepo baby, who may have started off with doors opening because of who their father or their mother was… But who’ve worked, who’ve earned it, who’ve shown talent, who had merit.” Then came Navarro with the opposite side of the coin, which may or not be a reference to a certain former The View co-host, via Decider:

“The people who give nepo babies a bad name are the people who start every sentence with, ‘My father,’ or, ‘My mother… [They] are talentless dolts, and instead of being humble and grateful for the opportunities they are given because they won the ovarian lottery, [they] are toxic brats, entitled and privileged, who make everybody’s life hell because they know they can’t be fired because of who they are.”

Of course, the nature of shade is that the true subject’s name is never mentioned, but there’s no secret of the animosity between Meghan McCain and some of her former colleagues. That, and she did tend to mention John McCain a lot (“my father”) while on this very talk show and even wrote a book called, “My Dad, John McCain.” Meghan also missed the point during an actual The View conversation about nepotism. Awkward.
