Lauren Boebert Spent Hundreds In Campaign Cash At Her ‘Beetlejuice’ Date’s Drag Queen-Friendly Bar

Hard to believe, but it’s been over a month since Lauren Boebert was thrown out of a regional production of the Beetlejuice musical for disruptive behavior, including getting handsy with her date. Since then the incident has produced one plot twist after another. But if you thought the story had run its course, think again.

Per Politico, the Colorado representative’s most recent campaign finance filings reveal she dropped a whopping $317.48 back in July at Hooch Craft Cocktail Bar in Aspen. That, incidentally, is the same establishment owned by Quinn Gallagher, Boebert’s date at the show.

As earlier reported, Gallagher is a Democrat, which Boebert claimed is the reason that she parted ways with him after getting busted getting frisky at an all-ages musical. What’s more, his bar hosts drag queen events — something Boebert and her fellow MAGA extremists stridently oppose, at least publicly.

Boebert’s campaign manager tried to brush off her spending hundreds at a gay-friendly establishment that runs in the face of one of her culture war bugaboos, saying, “Meeting with donors and covering their food and beverage costs at a popular local establishment of their choosing is a standard campaign procedure.”

In the filing, the money is reported as being for “event catering.”

After word that Boebert had been ejected from a family musical about ghosts, the lawmaker tried to play it down. Surveillance footage soon contradicted her claims. She then kept accidentally bringing it up. It’s been a couple weeks since her Beetlejuice antics produced new news, but apparently the story’s not quite dead yet.

Christine And The Queens’ Remaining 2023 Tour Dates Have Been Canceled Due To Illness

In May, “To Be Honest” singer Christine and the Queens (also known as Redcar) hit the road to support his latest album, Paranoïa, Angels, True Love, which included an appearance at Primavera Sound 2023. Unfortunately, he won’t finish the second half of his tour due to an undisclosed illness.

On Sunday, October 15, Christine and the Queens was scheduled to take the stage in Montreal, Canada. However, hours before the show at MTELUS, he took to his official Instagram to reveal that the “remaining 2023 tour dates” are cancelled.

The note read, “Red (aka Christine and the Queens) was taken ill today and, on the advice of doctors, was forced to make the difficult decision to cancel all remaining tour dates for 2023. The tour was scheduled to resume tonight in Montreal and end in Paris in late November. Refunds are available at the point of purchase.”

Christine and the Queens did not share any specifics regarding his medical condition. Last year, he faced a similar complication when he injured himself during tour rehearsal, which caused him to postpone a show in England and his home country of France.

The remaining tour dates included performances in Philadelphia, Boston, New York, Washington, DC, Toronto, and Chicago.

Colts Rookie Anthony Richardson Is ‘Probably Going To Be Gone For The Year’ Due To Shoulder Surgery

Anthony Richardson rocketed to the top tier of many NFL Draft boards after a one-of-a-kind performance the pre-draft combine. Shortly after, the Indianapolis Colts tabbed Richardson as the future of the franchise with the No. 4 pick and, in the early going, Richardson’s sky-high upside was apparent with his dual-threat abilities on full display. Unfortunately, Richardson was placed on injured reserve with a shoulder injury last week, ensuring he would miss at least four games, and Colts owner Jim Irsay painted a more dire picture on Monday.

Irsay spoke with ESPN’s Stephen Holder and revealed that “the most likelihood is he’s probably going to be gone for the year.” He did stress that the final decision has not been made, but Irsay shared that Richardson “probably misses this year and we’re going to have to contend with that factor.” Finally, Irsay said there is still a debate happening but the final result is “probably going to lead toward surgery in the next week or so.”

Obviously, this is a tremendous blow to the Colts, even while acknowledging Indianapolis has one of the best backup quarterbacks in the league in Gardner Minshew. Indianapolis is 3-3 to begin the season, competing valiantly in the AFC South, but even beyond this season, Richardson’s health and development is atop the list of important factors surrounding the franchise.

The 21-year-old Richardson has 577 passing yards and 136 rushing yards while appearing in four games this season. The Colts continue their schedule at home against the Cleveland Browns, led by the NFL’s most potent defense, in Week 7.

Justin Herbert Caught A Pass From Himself To Pick Up A Third Down Against The Cowboys

Justin Herbert is pretty universally viewed as one of the most naturally gifted quarterbacks in the NFL. Blessed with a rocket launcher for an arm with great accuracy and the ability to process the game at a high level, Herbert is very close to reaching that upper echelon of quarterbacks in the league. And on Monday night, we saw that Herbert has another club in his bag: the ability to catch the football.

Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers played host to the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football this week. During the game’s second quarter with things tied at seven, Herbert and the Charger offense faced a third-and-5 from deep in their own territory. He dropped back and looked like he had a layup to Keenan Allen, but the ball was batted down at the line of scrimmage. But instead of softly falling to the ground, Herbert was able to snag the ball while it was in mid-air, corral it, and run for a first down, as Dallas had no one to keep him from sprinting to the line to gain.

Credit where it’s due, that’s an impressive, heads-up play by Herbert and a good job to pick up the necessary yardage. Having said that, he’s much better at throwing the ball than he is catching it, so we would recommend he keeps doing that.

‘Gargoyles’ May Be Coming Back To Television, This Time In Live-Action Form

When Disney+ launched four years back, some were baffled by some of the company’s more obscure and out-there fare that was now a couple clicks away. Others were stoked to see childhood favorites suddenly available. Among the titles that blew up social media was Gargoyles, the mid-‘90s show about nocturnal creatures who are stone monuments by day, night-time protectors by night. Now fans (probably) have some good news.

Variety confirmed that Disney+ is hard at work on a reboot of the show. It won’t be some animated fare. Instead it will do what the company loves to do, namely remake their back catalogue but as live-action fare. The project comes from Gary Dauberman, writer of the Annabelle, It, and The Nun films, and James Wan’s company Atomic Monster.

Here’s the official logline:

“Based on the cult classic Disney animated series, Goliath is the last of a heroic race of gargoyle warriors who once lived among mankind. Free from a centuries long curse that turned him into stone, Goliath struggles to solve the mystery of his past while watching over modern-day New York City alongside police detective Elisa Maza.”

Gargoyles stuck out from the ‘90s daytime animated pack by being darker than, say, The Gummy Bears, or even Darkwing Duck, which, a few years ago, also had a live-action redo on the docket.

Pink Responded To A Claim That She Flew Israeli Flags During Her Recent ‘Pink Summer Carnival Tour’ Stop

The tensions between the Israeli military and Hamas forces continue to boil over. On October 7, the conflict spilled into the region’s entertainment market when Bruno Mars was forced to cancel his Tel Aviv concert at Park HaYarkon. Now fans have begun to look at their favorite public figures, such as Drake, to speak out about the issue. Some even think they’re seeing support for causes they do not support.

After a video clip surfaced of Pink’s latest Pink Summer Carnival Tour stop, people online believed she was showing her support for Israel by flying the country’s flag onstage. However, Pink took to her official X (formerly Twitter) feed to deny the claim.

Read her complete statement below.

This post will be controversial for some. At this point, breathing is controversial. I am getting many threats because people mistakenly believe I am flying Israeli flags in my show. I am not. I have been using Poi flags since the beginning of this tour. These were used many, many years ago by the Māori people in New Zealand, and because they and the Māori people are beautiful to me, we use them. I do not fly flags in my show in support of anything or anyone except the rainbow flag. That will remain my position. I am a human. I believe in peace. Equality. Love. I am deeply saddened by the state of the world. I pray for all of us.

Mom shares 5 questions to ask your kids after school, instead of ‘How was your day?’

Have you ever picked up your kid from school and asked them, “How was your day?” and they responded with a one-word answer such as “Good,” “Fine,” or “OK”? This all-too-common interaction can be disheartening because, as a parent, you want to know what your child did during the 6 hours you were apart.

Let’s be honest: not every day can be “fine.” There are probably some days that weren’t so great that got glossed over. Or, some beautiful days, but your child didn’t feel like doing the emotional or mental labor of recalling everything.

Yamel Belen, a mother of 5 kids ages 7 to 25, who lives in Tampa, Florida, was tired of hearing the same old responses from her kids, so she started asking open-ended questions to get the ball rolling. She shared her conversation starters on TikTok, and the view has really resonated with parents, earning 740,000 views.

“I really hated getting the ‘It was good’ response to my after-school questioning,” Belen, a registered nurse originally from Brooklyn, told The New York Post. “I wanted to know everything about their lives at school and felt like I was doing something wrong [as a mother].”

“So, I started asking questions that would give me better responses,” she added.

@themotherhoodkit

I really hated getting the “it was good” reaponse to my after school questionining! I wanted to know more, all of it
.so I started digging for questions that would give me better responses. Try these and let me know how it goes! . . . . . #afterschoolroutine #schoolpickupfun #schoolpickipline #motherhoodseries #motherhoodkit #motherhoodlife #motherhoodunplugged #bondingwithkids #openendedquestions #motherdaughterrelationships

Here are 5 questions that Belen says will open up some conversation with your kids:

“What made you smile today?”

“Who did you sit next to at lunch?”

“Did you see any acts of kindness today? If so, what were they?”

“Did you see any acts of people being unkind, and if so, what did that look like?”

“What part of the day made you super happy?”

“Remember, these are conversation starters, so they’re meant to have open-ended responses, Which leads you to better conversations with your kids,” Belen added.

Belen says that the conversations opened up the lines of conversation with her elementary school daughters, ages 7 and 9, and her 17-year-old son. “Now I’m getting all the tea,” Belen joked.

Dana Basu, PsyD, a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice at everGROW therapy, agrees with Belen in that asking “How was your day?” will probably cause your kids to draw a blank.

“I love asking my kids specific questions about their school day, which helps point their attention to specific moments,” Dr. Basu tells Verywell Family. “I find that this allows them to be better able to recall stories and moments from their day with me.”

Elizabeth Manly, who currently runs the website Discovery Play With Littles, adds that parents should set an example by sharing about their days, too. Parents don’t have to go on about the adult world of work, either. They can talk about what made them happy or moments of kindness they noticed.

“The more you tell them, the more they will understand how to talk about their day,” Manly said. “Oftentimes, younger kids don’t know how to talk about their day. We forget this is also a skill that has to be taught.”

A Pregame Scuffle Broke Out Between The Cowboys And The Chargers

Monday Night Football features a matchup between a pair of teams that seem to relish never playing in a normal game. The Dallas Cowboys are making their way west for a battle with the Los Angeles Chargers, with a fun storyline being that ex-Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore is now overseeing the offense in Los Angeles.

Before the game kicked off, tensions boiled over between the two teams. While it’s not 100 percent clear what set this off, it looks like some Chargers players did not appreciate a few Cowboys players running through them while they were getting warmed up. This led to a bit of pushing and shoving, with a bunch of teammates on both sides of things getting involved.

Some other angles of the fracas show just how big this got, with a whole lot of pushing and shoving in the center of things and a number of teammates, coaches, and officials trying to break it up.

The two teams have not played since the 2021 campaign, when the Cowboys beat the Chargers in Los Angeles, 20-17. Dallas enters Monday night’s game with a 3-2 record, but got demolished in their most recent game against the San Francisco 49ers. Los Angeles, meanwhile, sits at 2-2 and are coming off of their bye.
