Lil Wayne didn’t perform the Super Bowl Halftime Show earlier this year, but he did star in a Cetaphil commercial that ran during the big game. Most notably, the ad seemed to announce that a new Wayne album, Tha Carter VI is set to drop on June 6.
Now, Wayne has gone ahead and made that more official: Last night (April 1), he took to social media to share a compilation of throwback video clips and reveal the project is indeed coming out on June 6. He also shared a pre-order link, and there, it’s revealed that the project’s cover art will be shared soon.
A blurb on the order pages reads, “The Carter series didn’t just raise the bar — it became the bar. Multi-platinum trailblazer, 5x Grammy winner and the undisputed GOAT Lil Wayne returns June 6 with Tha Carter VI — the highly anticipated next chapter in one of the most influential series in hip-hop history. From reshaping mixtape culture to birthing a generation of rap superstars, Tha Carter legacy is untouchable. Now, Wayne is back to remind the world why he’s the greatest rapper alive.”
Lately, fans have gone the extra mile to curate a perfect concert outfit. For a slew of examples, you can pull up the viral looks from Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour and Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour. Still, nothing can compare to elaborate onstage wardrobes of these entertainers, which are sure to go for a pretty penny in the future.
In fact, two performance outfits from Cher and Britney Spears did just that over the weekend. During Julien’s Auctions’Bold Luxury: The Limelight Edit event, the pop legends’ customs pieces designed by Bob Mackie pulled in a whopping six-figure sum ($243,425 total).
Bob Mackie’s original designs are highly sought after by fashion archivist. Thanks to the Julien’s Auctions’ event someone (or multiple people) are happy as a clam right now.
Lil Nas X’s oozes self-assuredness. The “Lean On My Body” rapper’s confidence is often the focal point across his music. But, Lil Nas X isn’t always a ray of aplomb.
During an interview with Paper Magazine, Lil Nas X revealed that his former “He Knows” collaborator Camila Cabello has helped him restore his confidence when it was on a temporary decline.
When asked about his relationship with Cabello, Lil Nas X raved about their affirming friendship.
“We did a great job at uplifting each other and showing each other how we view the situation and how we view each other from outside of ourselves,” he said. “Once you made up your mind: Oh, the world doesn’t see me as something great or feels like I’ve done anything amazing. To hear [affirmation] from somebody who you greatly respect, and you love what they’ve done, it feels great, especially because you can feel like it comes from a genuine place, and not like someone trying to get something from you.”
He continued: “It was fun hanging out with Camila, because that was the beginning of me getting comfortable going out to places. It was just genuine fun. It didn’t feel like work. Camila made me feel so good, she made me feel so great. And that was the beginning of me getting my confidence back. To finally be at this place, where I’m like, Okay, I know who the f*ck I am. I know where I’m going. I don’t care what none of these b*tches say. I didn’t care at first. Why do I care now?”
Lil Nas X and Camila Cabello have gone from casual collaborators to close confidants.

Newly surfaced videos (viewable here) of Blackpink members Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé repeatedly saying the N-word has landed them in hot water. Across the clips, the ladies are filmed during rehearsals performing covers of songs such as Kendrick Lamar’s “Swimming Pools (Drank),” Tinashe’s “2 On,” and more.
The controversial clips have sparked division across the Blackpink fan base. Some supporters have referred to the racial insensitive actions as a language barrier mix-up.
“Isn’t nega ‘you’ in Korean? I don’t think they’re saying the actual slur,” wrote one user on X (formerly Twitter).
However, others have not been as understanding. Over on Instagram, Blackpick followers are flooding each of their upload’s comment section with demands for an apology and answers.
“I love Blackpink but if Lisa can apologize for wearing braids, she can apologize for saying the n-word. If Jennie can apologize for vaping inside. She can apologize. For saying the n-word if Rose can apologize for whatever she can apologize for saying the n-word it doesn’t matter if it was their training days they still say it,” wrote one user.
“Hey, so why y’all saying the n-word,” penned another.
Blackpink has not yet issued a public statement regarding the newly surfaced videos.
Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” Dua Lipa’s “Illusion,” Megan Thee Stallion’s “Mamushi,” Charli XCX‘s “Von Dutch,” and Lady Gaga‘s “Abracadabra” are nominated in the Music Video, General Video & Film (Video & Film) category.
The AMP Cypher 2024, Spotify’s 25th Anniversary of Christina Aguilera live segment, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’sJorts with Will Ferrell & Nick Jonas, Gracie Abrams’ The Secret of Us short film and Ludwig Göransson’s behind the song of ‘Can You Hear the Music?’ from ‘Oppenheimer’ received nominations in the Music, General Video & Film (Video & Film) category.
Elsewhere, Laufey secured a nomination in the Art, Culture & Music, Individual Creator category. Sam Smith also snagged a nomination in the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging, Shows category for his The Pink House podcast.

The Pitt is fire, pure and simple. The show’s winning combination of putting Noah Wyle back in a medical drama and a 24-style “real-time” structure has hooked a growing audience. Max couldn’t resist an early renewal with HBO content chief Casey Bloys expressing to Collider the goal of this being “the next tentpole library series that people will be watching 20 years from now.”
The fifteen-episode season structure will only help in that endeavor. It’s nearly unheard of these days for a streaming series to last, let alone captivate viewers, for that long, but this intense Max medical drama is succeeding. Only two episodes remain for this season, so it’s about time to wonder when the next hour of Dr. Robby’s trauma-unit shift will stream on Max.
When Does The Pitt Season 1 Episode 14 Come Out?
This week’s episode, “8:00 P.M.,” rolls out on April 3 at 9:00 pm EST.
For those who have already watched Episode 13, you might be wondering how Noah Wyle handled an exceedingly dark episode for Dr. Robby. As Wyle told TV Line, he absolutely loved the experience:
“Well, I’m a little funny. I look at days of work like that like Christmas morning. [Laughs] I can’t tell you how much I was looking forward to that day… a day where I could go in there and channel my own pent-up grief, disappointment, anger, frustration [and] fear that I carry… It was harder to keep it in over the course of the season, where it was inappropriate to have it come out, than it was to shoot that. I just remember thinking, you know, in the way that actors can be masochists, like, ‘Oh boy! Today, I get to f-k some s-t up!’”
Fortunately for viewers, Noah Wyle isn’t an actual doctor so that we can see him portray one on TV.
The “Cry For Me” singer kicks off a worldwide tour in May, and he’s also got a movie coming out in May. Hurry Up Tomorrow follows a musician plagued by insomnia who is pulled into an odyssey with a stranger who begins to unravel the very core of his existence. Directed by Trey Edward Shults, the psychological thriller stars Abel Tesfaye, Jenna Ortega, and Barry Keoghan.
You can watch the latest trailer, which ends with Ortega seemingly threatening to set Tesfaye on fire, above.
“It’s about an artist, you could say, on the verge of a mental breakdown,” Edward Shults, who also directed the excellent Krisha, told Entertainment Weekly about Hurry Up Tomorrow. “He meets this woman, and they go on this odyssey together. It’s a mix of psychological thriller and drama. I honestly feel like I’ve never seen a movie quite like it.” Tesfaye added, “This experience was really introspective and cathartic for me. From writing to production and through post — I realized just how much of a catalyst this art form can be for conversations about our emotions, mental health, and vulnerabilities.”
When Kendrick Lamar screamed his “TV Off” producer’s name over the song’s bridge, he not only turned Mustard into a meme, he also made the Long Beach DJ and producer into a household name — one that would become inextricably linked to Kendrick Lamar in America’s minds for the foreseeable future. Thanks to his role in producing both “TV Off” and Kendrick’s inescapable diss track “Not Like Us,” Mustard has been included in music videos and Kendrick’s Super Bowl performance, and will soon be added to Kendrick’s upcoming Grand National Tour with SZA as the opening DJ.
He announced his addition to the tour on Instagram, writing, “I’m joining Kendrick Lamar and SZA on the Grand National Tour. Had to look out for my fans. Cash App Card Holders have exclusive access to purchase newly released tickets on the floor.”
While Mustard’s biggest hits of the year were with Kendrick, he also released his own album, Faith Of A Mustard Seed, and its single, “Parking Lot” with Travis Scott, last year, extending his decade-long list of hits. You can find the tour dates for the Grand National Tour below and find more info here.

Prime Video/Amazon knows a good thing when they’re hit by it. In this case, the hits are coming from Reacher, who recently defeated the holy hell out of the Bigger Guy in the third season based upon Lee Child’s Persuader novel. A strong highlight of this season, as always, was the appearance of Maria Sten as Reacher’s best friend, Frances Neagley, who added insight on “Big Guys” (as we will discuss below) during the third season finale. She is also adored on social media and was a wise addition to the series.
Neagley is, of course, a character from the Jack Reacher novels who only appears in a few books, but on TV, she is the glue that is written into every season. She knew precisely how to send up an ATM-fueled flare to call Reacher into action in the Bad Luck and Trouble-adapting second season. She always knows what sandwich to order for him in a diner, and she reads him even better than any fan of Reacher books did before the show began. Lee Child previously revealed to Empire magazine how Neagley was initially planned as “a strategic decision” to help explain Reacher’s inexplicable deductions and “bolster the exposition,” but she turned into much more.
So when Amazon started to consider Reacher spin offs, they knew where to turn. Let’s get down to investigative business on what to expect from Neagley.
Plot
Prime Video/Amazon
If there was any doubt that Neagley could carry her own show, it evaporated when a thug implored her, “I’m bleeding out. Call me an ambulance,” to which Neagley calmly responded, “Okay, you’re an Ambulance,” and continued with her bowl of cereal. Then even skeptics were sold, and as Maria Sten posted on Instagram, “it’s officially official people! Neagley is happening!” Filming had already begun, and Sten added, “[O]ur creative team has cooked up an incredible show with such a stellar cast… all I can say for now is welcome to Neagley’s world. it’s time for coco pops!!”
From there, Prime Video/Amazon has unveiled a synopsis that suggests how Neagley, even though she will always be there when needed by Reacher, isn’t simply waiting around for his catastrophes to happen. Also, Alan Ritchson will appear in the spin off, too, and Amazon has delivered a logline:
Frances Neagley is a private investigator in Chicago. When she learns that a beloved friend from her past has been killed in a suspicious accident, she becomes hell-bent on justice. Using everything she’s learned from Jack Reacher and her time as a member of the 110 Special Investigators, Neagley puts herself on a dangerous path to uncover a menacing evil.
Also vital to this spin off’s set up: how well Neagley and Reacher go together, and how well they operate when they are apart. Over their years of working together as Army colleagues and beyond, she has crawled inside his head, and he’s surprisingly fine with this. In the third Reacher finale, Neagley even dropped this wisdom on the Big Guy (whose Army underlings made that nickname known a few seasons ago), and Reacher’s status as Physically Big Guy is now entirely delicious in context of how he feels about “big guys” who gain that status through power (and abuse of that power):
“It’s not because you need to put things right, and it’s not because you love the little guy. It’s because you hate the big guy. You hate the big, powerful, smug sons of bitches who think they can get away with things, so you make sure they don’t.”
Hoo boy. And as Neagley goes her own way in the spin off, we can also expect the franchise to keep building upon how she moves about the world in a way that sets her apart and also contributes to her brilliance. As Reacher once put it, she’s “not the scooch-in type,” so she won’t suddenly turn into a hugger, and as a quick side note, in Child’s Night School novel, Reacher mentioned that Neagley’s aversion to touch is actually rooted in haptephobia, which a fear of being touched by others. On TV, this doesn’t come across as a fear, which tells us a lot about how Neagley operates and maneuvers within missions.
Above all, we can count on her adherence to Reacher’s most reliable motto: “Details matter.” Here for it.
Cast
Prime Video/Amazon
The Reacher franchise is not skimping on this spin off. In addition to Maria Sten as Frances Neagley, Deadline revealed early that Ritchson is “set to appear on the spinoff as a guest star.” In a press release, Prime Video also announced five series regulars:
– Damon Herriman (Justified) as Lawrence Cole
– Matthew Del Negro (Mayor of Kingstown) as Pierce Woodrow
– Jasper Jones (King Ivory) as Keno
– Adeline Rudolph (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) as Renee
– Greyston Holt (The Night Agent) as Detective Hudson Riley
Release Date
Neagley will fill the gap in between Reacher seasons, so while the Big Guy is working on his fourth season, we can expect Maria Sten to be back much sooner. Lee Child believes that late 2025 is possible “with a bit of luck.”
Trailer
Since Amazon probably won’t have teaser material ready for a few months, and we’ve already discussed the all-important “ambulance” scene, there’s no time like the present to revisit Neagley’s cereal obsession as highlighted by Reacher.
Amazon also chose to highlight this third-season scene where Neagley’s ride-or-die status for Reacher was on display.
