In addition to being hip-hop’s top pitchman, it turns out Travis Scott is a bit of a cinephile. In a new interview with Complex, the Houston rapper-producer talks up his love for one actor in particular, including making a surprisingly accurate prediction about this year’s Academy Awards.
When asked about celebrities who are fans of his music, Travis revealed a bond with Adrien Brody. “That’s my dog,” he gushed. “Did you watch The Brutalist? That movie is hard as f*ck. I hope he wins Best Actor.”
Maybe we should be asking Travis for his picks on every future awards competition because Brody was indeed this year’s winner of the Oscar award for Best Actor for his work in The Brutalist.
Travis also revealed Brody’s own talent for making music. “He makes music, too,” he enthused. “He’s like, ‘You know, I make beats and shit.’… I’m like, ‘You got to send me some beats!’ So we chopped it up. Man, that f*cked me up. That’s crazy. I get sh*t like that all the time.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Travis teased a tour, new music from his Cactus Jack label, and bringing his debut mixtape, Owl Pharaoh, to streaming services sometime in the future.
It took over a decade of development, but a Minecraft movie is in theaters — and it’s breaking box office records. For starters, A Minecraft Movie had the highest opening weekend at the domestic box office ($163 million) for any video game movie ever. It’s also No. 1 among films released in 2025, and stars Jack Black and Jason Momoa’s biggest domestic opening, as well.
A Minecraft Movie shattered all projections, but maybe it shouldn’t have: Minecraft is the best-selling video game of all-time, with a reported 350 million copies sold. That’s a lot of chicken jockeys. But give credit to director Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite, Nacho Libre), along with a huge team of screenwriters, for figuring out a formula that worked. He wasn’t the film’s original director, however. The job initially went to Rob McElhenney, who also worked on the script. Yup, Mac from It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia.
Back in 2015, Minecraft publisher Mojang AB announced, “Hello there! Some of you may have seen this guy hanging around MINECON in London a couple weeks ago. He’s Rob McElhenney, and he’s going to be directing the upcoming Minecraft movie.” The film was supposedly going to be animated and star Steve Carell. So, what happened? Why is McElhenney nowhere to be found in the A Minecraft Movie credits?
Why Didn’t It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia Star Rob McElhenney Direct A Minecraft Movie?
“I’m comfortable talking about it, because f*k them at this point,” McElhenney said in a 2020 episode of the HappySadConfused podcast, according to GameSpot. What drew him to Minecraft was the lack of a “fixed narrative. It was an open world experience. All you were essentially give was the building blocks to do whatever you want. I thought, what an amazing tool, much like Legos except now you’re talking about infinite possibilities because it’s digital, to give to kids — and not just kids, but any person who feels powerless.”
Warner Bros. loved McElhenney’s concept for the movie being about “people taking agency over their experience in this digital landscape,” and he was given a $150 million budget. However, in 2016, Warner Bros. movie chief Greg Silverman left the studio and was replaced by Toby Emmerich. That’s when McElhenney’s Minecraft movie “slowly died on the vine,” he explained. “I don’t harbor any resentment. I get it. I get the way that it works.”

The Boys‘ showrunner Eric Kripke might be living the dream, but oh, what a complicated dream he is weaving. Kripke has been cranking away at bringing his final vision (i.e., the superhero-skewering satire’s fifth season) for Garth Ennis’ comic book creations to life while also dancing around the backdrop of reality. And as everybody is aware, reality is chaos right now and not exactly moving toward a calmer place, nearly a year after the most recent season finale had to change its title because, you know, reasons.
The fifth season promises to be bring Homelander’s angst back to the forefront, and ideally, Antony Starr’s chief narcissist will implode after everybody else has had their vengeance. Whatever happens will pave the way for the Vought Rising prequel series featuring Stormfront and Soldier Boy, but yeah, we really want to know more about the main attraction right now.
Does The Boys Season 5 Have A Release Date?
No specific date exists yet. However, the final season will arrive sometime in 2026 with Gen V‘s second season set for 2025, also with no precise date revealed yet by Amazon.
Kripke recently revealed on social media that progress is being made, not only for The Boys but also the prequel. “Season 5 halfway through shooting,” he wrote on X/Twitter. “#VoughtRising writers room writing brilliant scripts & new super suits being designed. It’s all happening.”
Additionally, Antony Starr (who is promoting Amazon MGM’s G20 movie) revealed to Collider how he is ready to put Homie’s suit away for good: “It’s strange because as much as I love the show, I don’t like seeing things outstay their welcome, so I’m kind of glad we’re finishing at five, and that’s it. I love the show and the characters, so it’s a bittersweet moment.”
Homelander’s gonna drown in a giant vat of milk, right? Fingers crossed.
With her new album, Paid In Memories, out now, Jessie Reyez has announced the dates for her tour supporting the album, with opener Raahiim. The tour’s US dates will run from June to August, wrapping up in Los Angeles at the YouTube Theater before jumping across the pond for a slate of UK and European dates. Then, she’ll return to North America for a run of dates across her native Canada, finishing up just in time for Christmas break.
Tickets go on sale Friday, April 11 at 10am local time at livenation.com. Artist presales begin Wednesday, April 9 for Citi & Mastercard holders. See the tour dates below.

For several years now, Popeyes has had a lock on making the best chicken sandwich in all of fast food. Every year since it first hit menus, brands everywhere have been playing catchup, trying to best the GOAT —- and they can’t. And trust us, we’ve searched for a better fast food chicken sandwich, we’ve done super-sized rankings, hit up hyped-up new fast food restaurants, and even put the sandwich to the blind taste test, and every time, Popeyes remains the king.
This has led Popeyes to essentially be in competition with itself. Since its initial launch, the brand has given us a few variations on the sandwich, each time iterating on what much of the public already considered a perfect chicken sandwich. They’ve made it spicier, more decadent with the addition of cheese and bacon, and even made a significantly healthier version that still tasted delicious and made us weak in the knees.
Could it get any better? Turns out yes, because Popeyes new Pickle Glaze Chicken Sandwich elevates the dish to new delicious heights. The sandwich is part of a larger pickle-focused menu that includes pickle-flavored lemonade (we’ve tasted weirder things) and a side order of fried pickle chips. Both of those sound interesting, but let’s be real — what we’re really excited about is the sandwich.
Here is our full review on Popeyes’ latest masterpiece.
Popeyes Pickle Glaze Chicken Sandwich
Dane Rivera
Name one truly great fried chicken sandwich that doesn’t have pickles. Got nothing? That’s because pickles are the quintessential chicken sandwich accoutrement largely due to the way the earthy and briney flavors cut through all the decadence of a deep-fried chicken filet. So granted, the idea of more pickle flavor, like the Popeyes Pickle Glaze promises, could sound off-putting.
There is such a thing as too many pickles, and that is why most sandwiches will have about two or three chips total. But assuming this sandwich just doubles down on pickles misses what makes the Pickle Glaze so special. This sandwich features the typical Popeyes sandwich build — a buttery bun, a few barrel-cured pickles, mayo, and the thick, heavily breaded filet. Where it differs is the heavy dill pickle glaze and crunchy pickle slaw (as if this sandwich really needed more crunch).
The glaze is significantly less earthy and pungent than the actual pickles in the sandwich — instead, what the glaze brings to the table is a medley of tangy, sweet, and subtly sour notes with a hint of garlic and mustard seed. After a few bites, the nuanced flavor of the glaze started to reveal an even deeper flavor, bringing in notes of oregano, cayenne pepper, thyme, and paprika, offering something that is as herbaceous and deliciously spicy.
Not spicy in the hot sense, but in the truest sense of the word — endlessly flavorful.
The Bottom Line:
Popeyes has bested its OG chicken sandwich before, but the Pickle Glaze Chicken Sandwich sees the brand elevating its flagship sandwich to heights we didn’t even know were possible. If you’re looking for the most flavorful chicken sandwich in fast food, look no further — this is it.
The Bondsman arrived on Prime Video/Amazon less than a week ago, and it’s a justifiable streaming hit. The Kevin Bacon-starring show also has vague shades of Justified-lite going on (mostly in the framing, although the presence of Dewey Crowe actor Damon Herriman as Lucky doesn’t hurt) since Bacon portrays a resurrected bounty hunter of demons, who are not unlike the more cartoonish characters arrested by Raylan Givens in Appalachia.
Well, The Bondsman turned out to be a highly entertaining show from Blumhouse, and the first season finale reveals that Hub Halloran (Bacon) is entrenched in more nefarious mechinations than he ever imagined. The cliffhanger season finale ended with Hub at another crossroads after Lilith possesses his ex-wife, Maryanne (Jennifer Nettles), and he’s now faced with the choice of accepting an even weightier deal than the one he had with Satan. So naturally, people cannot get enough of this hellishly hot mess and want to know if Hub’s demon-plagued fate will continue.
Will There Be A The Bondsman Season 2?
No official word exists yet, but showrunner Eric Oleson and Kevin Bacon are pulling for that to happen. In fact, they made sure that the cliffhanger was alluring enough to perhaps persuade Amazon to greenlight more.
As Oleson informed the LA Times, he and Bacon were “evil” while concocting this plan. Look at these little stinkers:
Both Bacon and Oleson are crossing their fingers that “The Bondsman” will have life beyond one season. “I intentionally wrote Season 1 to have an ending that would make it difficult for Amazon not to give Kevin and me more chances to make more episodes. We were evil, devious partners in trying to make sure this show goes the distance.”
The Bondsman also co-stars Jolene Purdy, Beth Grant, and Maxwell Jenkins. All eight episodes of the first season are streaming on Prime Video.
With music festival season fast approaching it’s getting harder to justify spending money on pricey fast food. So don’t! While yes, fast food has gotten pricier, there are still a lot of really great deals out there that’ll get you fed on the cheap.
Now granted, skipping a few full-priced fast food combos a week isn’t going to save you enough to afford tickets to Coachella, but hey, any amount helps and we want you to spend your spring and summer watching your favorite artists on stage, not streaming their albums while you wait in a long drive-thru line.
So we gathered up the best fast food and restaurant deals currently available in the month of April to save you some of that hard-earned cash. Hopefully, now you can spend your money on much cooler things than a double cheeseburger.
Applebee’s — With fast food prices on the rise, eating at a sit down restaurant is starting to seem more and more appealing, especially when you have things like Applebee’s Really Big Meal Deal. The deal consists of a Big Banging’ Burger (their words not ours), or a Big Cluckin’ Chicken Sandwich, or Classic Bacon Cheeseburger, with endless fries, and unlimited fountain drinks for just $9.99.
That’s more food than most fast food restaurants are willing to give you for under $10.
Arby’s — For an unspecified limited time, Arby’s Rewards members can enjoy a BOGO deal on the brand’s best sandwich, the Beef ’N Cheddar.
Carl’s Jr. — This month you can pick up a Snack Stash deal that consists of any of the following three: 6-piece Jalapeño Popper Bites, Waffle Fries, Onion Rings, Small Fries or Fried Zucchini for just $5.99. Carl’s Jr. is officially at the top of our list the next time we get high and the munchies hit us.
Dunkin — Breakfast fans can score the $6 Meal Deal which will get you a six-piece order of hashbrowns, a Sausage Egg & Cheese croissant and a medium coffee. It’s the sort of carb and sugar overload that’ll kick start your morning routine.
Jack in the Box — Grab lunch for two with JiB’s Double Vision Meal Deal, which gets you two Jumbo Jacks, two small fries, and two drinks for $11.99. That’s about $6 per meal, which is pretty damn good deal.
KFC — Do you have dinner plans on Tuesday? Well, now you do! KFC is bringing back its $10 Tuesday deal, which consists of a full eight piece bucket of dark meat fried chicken. Would’ve been nice to get a whole bird in there, but hey, who are we to complain?
Long John Silvers — Fast food fish season continues! Right now you can score any Shrimp Basket from Long John Silvers for just $6. The basket consists of your choice of Grilled, Popcorn, Battered, or Coconut Shrimp plus a side and an order of hushpuppies.
McDonald’s — McDonald’s Daily Double Meal Deal will get you a double cheeseburger, small fries, 6-piece McNuggets, and a drink for just $6. No notes or snide remarks here, that’s a great deal.
Papa John’s — Purchase any large pizza in-store, online, or via the app, and receive a free large 1-topping pizza. There is nothing better than a good old-fashioned BOGO deal!
Popeyes — From now until May 4th, you can pick up a five-piece order of classic or spicy chicken tenders from Popeyes for $9. Straight up, it’s not the best deal Popeyes has ever given us, but hey, it’s still a deal.
Instead, let us point you to a more limited, but much better deal. From now until April 13th you can pick up any two chicken sandwiches and a regular-sized side for just $12. Share it with a friend, or you know, don’t, and eat the two sandwiches yourself! We couldn’t think of a better excuse to try Popeyes’ new excellent Pickle Glaze sandwich
Shake Shack — Between the hours of 2-5pm, you can score one of Shake Shack’s LTO shakes for $4 with any purchase when checking out with the code SHAKEIT.
Subway — Right now Subway is offering its $6.99 Meal of the Day deal. You get a 6” sub, a small drink, and chips (or two cookies), but yes, there is a catch. Every day the deal applies to a different sandwich. Monday will get you a Cold Cut Combo, Tuesday is the Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki, Wednesday will get you the Meatball Marinara, Thursday the Hot Honey Pepperoni, Friday is Tuna, Saturday the BMT, and Sunday the Philly.
Which means you’re probably going on Wednesday!
Wendy’s — Wendy’s best deal, and honestly, one of the best deals in fast food period, is the $5 Biggie Bag. The combo consists of your choice of a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, Crispy Chicken Sandwich or Double Stack, a four piece order of nuggets, small fries, and a drink for just $5.
Luckily, the genre-pushing hardcore band have announced a new album, their first since 2021’s Grammy-nominated Glow On. Set to arrive on June 6, Never Enough was recorded in Los Angeles and Baltimore and is produced by vocalist Brendan Yates. There’s no tracklist yet, but Turnstile did release the album’s title track, which begins with a wash of synths before the heavy riffs enter.
As per a press release:
The expansive collection is a restless and exhilarating evolution of the band’s genre-defying sound. A transformative journey, both fearless and alive, by one of the most forward-thinking and influential bands of their generation.
Turnstile have also confirmed that guitarist Meg Mills is an official member of the group now, joining Yates, bassist Franz Lyons, guitarist Pat McCrory, and drummer Daniel Fang.
You can listen to “Never Enough” above. Below, you’ll find the album’s artwork, as well as Turnstile’s festival tour dates.
