The “Dark Brandon” merchandise really went to Joe Biden‘s head.

Following a speech in at a plant in New Mexico where he mocked Donald Trump’s odd fear of wind turbines, the president snapped at Fox News reporter Peter Doocy over a question about his son, Hunter. “There’s this testimony now where one of your son’s former business associates is claiming that you were on speakerphone a lot with them, talking business. Is that… what?” Doocy said, to which Biden replied, “I never talked business with anybody. I knew you’d have a lousy question.” Doocy asked why his question was lousy. Biden answered, “Because it’s not true,” then walked away.

Doocy was likely attempting to build on discounted congressional testimony by former Hunter Biden business associate Devon Archer, who provided no smoking gun to tie the president to wrongdoing in his son’s deals. Archer did claim, though, that Biden made small talk with his son’s associates.

This isn’t the first time that Biden and Doocy have sparred. The president called the White House correspondent a “stupid son of a b*tch” and razzed him about being friendly with Vladimir Putin.

Taylor Swift and Halsey have always been supportive of one another. When the “Anti-Hero” star spoke up about her manager Scooter Braun’s “incessant, manipulative bullying,” Halsey defended her. When Halsey shared their experimental 2021 LP If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power, Swift said she was “blown away” by their artistry.

In an Instagram Story, Halsey shared a photo of bracelets they made for The Eras Tour with the caption: “20 down 30 to go.” They also tweeted about the Los Angeles concert that occurred Wednesday (August 9), writing, “I literally cried hysterically during tolerate it and then rep set started and I was like oh she did this on purpose cause now I gotta wipe my face it’s bad b*tch hours.”

Plenty of celebrities have been attending The Eras Tour, including Flavor Flav. “FLAVOR FLAV::: I’m honored to meet Taylor Swift’s Mom and Dad plus Papa Swift gave me the guitar picks to hand out!!! COME FIND ME #TaylorSwift,” Flav wrote in the caption of an Instagram post.

Even the Canada Prime Minister Justin Trudeau asked for Swift to bring the run to his country. “It’s me, hi,” he tweeted. “I know places in Canada would love to have you. So, don’t make it another cruel summer. We hope to see you soon.”

Over the past couple days, there has been some confusion surrounding Lil Tay, the 14-year-old Canadian internet personality and rapper. So, what’s going on?

Yesterday (August 9), a post on Tay’s Instagram page announced that she had died, saying (via Variety), “It is with a heavy heart that we share the devastating news of our beloved Claire’s sudden and tragic passing. We have no words to express the unbearable loss and indescribable pain. This outcome was entirely unexpected, and has left us all in shock. Her brother’s passing adds an even more unimaginable depth to our grief. During this time of immense sorrow, we kindly ask for privacy as we grieve this overwhelming loss, as the circumstances surrounding Claire and her brother’s passing are still under investigation. Claire will forever remain in our hearts, her absence leaving an irreplaceable void that will be felt by all who knew and loved her.”

Around the same time, it was also noticed that Tay’s YouTube bio read, “help me.” This caused some uncertainty, so Insider investigated. Lil Tay’s father Christopher Hope and former manager Harry Tsang both spoke to the publication and did not confirm whether Tay was alive. The publication also noted, “It also suggested her brother, Jason Tian, had died as well. The statement didn’t give causes of death for either and said the deaths were under investigation. But law-enforcement agencies in Los Angeles and Vancouver, British Columbia — two cities where Lil Tay is known to have lived — told Insider there were no active death investigations involving Hope.”

Today, TMZ shared what they say is a statement from Tay’s family confirming that she is still alive. The statement says, “I want to make it clear that my brother and I are safe and alive, but I’m completely heartbroken, and struggling to even find the right words to say. It’s been a very traumatizing 24 hours. All day yesterday, I was bombarded with endless heartbreaking and tearful phone calls from loved ones all while trying to sort out this mess. […] My Instagram account was compromised by a 3rd party and used to spread jarring misinformation and rumors regarding me, to the point that even my name was wrong. My legal name is Tay Tian, not ‘Claire Hope’.”

The death announcement post has since been deleted. Before that post, Tay’s most recent Instagram post was from 2018. As TMZ notes, “Tay was caught in the middle of a nasty custody battle between her parents, Angela Tian and Christopher Hope — one we were told had been going on in court since 2018, around the same time the influencer went radio silent online.”

Kayleigh McEnany no longer works for Donald Trump, and has basically been disowned by the former president after he basically called her “milktoast,” but that hasn’t stopped the Fox News personality from going after Trump’s favorite target: Hunter Biden.

During Thursday’s episode of Outnumbered, McEnany flew off the handle after Jessica Tarlov accurately pointed out that Devon Archer’s testimony continued to show that there is no connection between Joe Biden and his son’s business dealings. Not only did McEnany misrepresent the facts of Archer’s testimony, but she twisted herself into a pretzel by arguing out loud that “a crime doesn’t have to be committed” to impeach Biden.

What we’re listening to is called the “raising of the bar” defense. Jessica, you said it’s no big deal, Devon Archer’s testimony. Well, okay. Biden has repeatedly said, since the campaign trail, I never spoke to my son about his business dealing. Well, we learned from Devon Archer he spoke to him 20 times. He was on speakerphone, he attended meetings. Yet the White House told us he was never present at the 2015 meeting at Cafe Milano. So, you say it’s not a big deal. You’re saying it’s not a big deal that the President of the United States lied. Then you say, ok, no crime was committed. Again, you’re raising the bar. A crime doesn’t have to be committed here. The whole point is that this is corruption. The American people see this and say this stinks.

Considering McEnany worked for Trump, who’s already on his third indictment, it’s extremely rich to watch her lob accusations of corruption. More pointedly, she’s also accusing Biden of lying while misrepresenting Archer’s testimony, which backed the current president’s claims that he never spoke to his son about business.

Naturally, Twitter had a field day with McEnany’s remarks as people dragged her for not understanding how impeachment works, her past covering for Trump, and again, her false statements about Archer’s testimony.

Harry Styles‘ nearly two-year Love On Tour came to an emotional conclusion in Italy on July 22, but the intensely intrusive monitoring of his love life is never-ending.

According to Page Six and TMZ, Styles watched the Canadian actress Taylor Russell perform in The Effect at London’s National Theatre on Wednesday, August 9, and the two fueled dating rumors at the afterparty.

“Styles could be seen greeting Russell and wrapping his arm around her. Seemingly in response to the gesture, the Bones And All star placed her hand on the former One Direction member’s arm,” Page Six relayed. “At one point, the pair turned to each other and were captured smiling and laughing.”

An unnamed source told the outlet that it appeared as if Russell and Styles “were holding hands” when he visited Russell’s dressing room.

TMZ additionally relayed, “We’re told Harry left the shindig after a while, jumping into the back of a car by himself while carrying Taylor’s stuff. However, sources say Harry’s ride pulled up to the stage door not long after, with Taylor jumping in the back seat before pulling off.”

Tabloids previously reported on Russell’s presence at Styles’ Love On Tour stop in Vienna, Austria last month. TMZ shared a video of Russell dancing in a VIP section.

Since splitting from longtime girlfriend Olivia Wilde, Styles was also briefly linked to Emily Ratajkowski in March after shamelessly making out in Tokyo, Japan.

DJ Khaled has announced his next album, Til Next Time, as well as the release date for its first single, “Supposed To Be Loved.” “Supposed To Be Loved” is due on Friday, August 11 (that’s tomorrow), and will feature Future, Lil Baby, and Lil Uzi Vert — three artists with whom Khaled has worked extensively in the past. The announcement was made with an over-the-top trailer featuring Khaled and his sons playing golf, with Khaled chipping in an impressive (and unlikely) shot and cartoonishly whacking a drive all the way to Rome.

DJ Khaled and Future have a plethora of songs together going back a decade beginning with “Bitches & Bottles (Let’s Get It Started)” from his 2012 album Kiss The Ring. That song also featured Lil Wayne and T.I. Since then, they’ve collaborated over a dozen more times, including on last year’s God Did single, “Big Time,” which also featured Lil Baby. Future also teamed up with SZA on “Beautiful.”

Lil Baby popped up a few more times in Khaled’s discography, starting with 2019’s Father Of Asahd. He featured on two songs on that album, “You Stay” featuring J Balvin, Jeremih, and Meek Mill, and “Weather the Storm” With Meek Mill. On God Did, he had another two features, “Big Time” and “Staying Alive” with Drake.

However, “Supposed To Be Loved” will actually mark DJ Khaled’s first time working with Lil Uzi Vert, who was the first rap artist of 2023 to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Earlier this year, Uproxx’s Steven Hyden reviewed Bruce Springsteen and his E Street Band ‘s three-hour show — a concert length that Paul McCartney could do without — and contemplated the finality this tour represents for Springsteen.

“I have no idea what lies ahead for The E Street Band, because no one does. I’m only saying that it felt like a group of people singing and playing like they might not have many more parties like this in the future,” Hyden wrote. “I couldn’t help but choke up a little during the encore when at the end of ‘Glory Days’ Bruce called Little Steven over to the microphone and asked if he wanted to go home. … It was unanimous: Nobody wanted to go home.”

It ain’t over yet.

The second leg of their headlining North American tour will carry into December. Next up is Wrigley Field in Chicago on Friday, August 11. Springsteen will cram in two dates at Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park (August 16, 18) and two more in Foxborough, Massachusetts (August 24, 26) before returning home to East Rutherford, New Jersey to play MetLife Stadium on August 30, September 1, and September 3.

If you’re planning on attending any of them, plan for Springsteen to hit the stage around 8 p.m. local time. According to setlist.fm, doors at Chicago’s Wrigley Field opened at 5:30 p.m. before Springsteen and The E Street Band began their set at 7:55 p.m. on Wednesday night (August 9). Similarly, they are said to have taken the stage from 7:50 p.m. to 10:40 p.m. in Italy on July 25.

Ratboys are set to release their fifth studio album The Window this month, and the singles, like “Black Earth, WI” and the title track, have been bewitching so far. Now they’re back with the track “Morning Zoo.”

“Morning Zoo” is a blissfully twangy celebration with immediately stunning lines: “I look myself in the eye / I wake up every morning / I kill my thoughts with a knife / Then blow a kiss to the silence,” Julia Steiner sings. It fits gorgeously amongst the previously released ballads, whose lyrics are similarly startlingly revelatory. The Window is shaping up to be a mesmeric indie rock masterpiece.

“The lyrics are meant to express the frustration and confusion that comes along with hanging out at a personal crossroads, where every day feels the same and the same big questions keep nagging at you from the back of your head,” Steiner said about the song in a statement. “It’s that small, lingering feeling of numb indecision, of pesky anxiety — like disassociating at a stop sign or weighing all your biggest hopes and fears while stuck behind the longest freight train you’ve ever seen.”

Barbie joined the Billion Dollar Club during Greta Gerwig’s birthday weekend, but Oppenheimer — the “-enheimer” in Barbenheimer — is no slouch at the box office, either. The Christopher Nolan film is up to $578 million, making it one of the 10 highest-grossing R-rated movies ever.

On Wednesday, Oppenheimer passed Fifty Shades of Grey to enter the top 10 at the worldwide box office. The list is topped by Joker ($1.074 billion), followed by Deadpool 2 ($785.8 million), Deadpool ($782.8), The Matrix Reloaded ($741.8 million), It ($701.8 million), Detective Chinatown 3 ($686.2 million), Logan ($619.1 million), The Passion of the Christ ($612 million), and The Hangover Part II ($586.7 million). Oppenheimer is also #10 on the domestic list ($238 million), just ahead of Beverly Hills Cop. Number one? The Passion of the Christ, starring inexplicable box office draw Jim Caviezel.

“The film I wanted to make couldn’t have been done smaller,” Nolan told the Independent about Oppenheimer. “It’s not about money, it’s not about budget – the magnitude of the story is what attracted me to it.” He added, “The fact that Oppenheimer and his fellow scientists couldn’t completely eliminate the possibility that they might set fire to the atmosphere and destroy the entire world, but still triggered the test – the idea of someone taking that risk on behalf of all of us and all our descendants. There’s nothing bigger than that.”

Oppenheimer won’t become Nolan’s highest-grossing movie — that would be The Dark Knight Rises with over $1 billion — but the fact that a three-hour drama for adults is nearing $600 million is maybe more impressive.

Upon the 2021 release of Ian Sweet’s Show Me How You Disappear, songwriter Jilian Medford told Uproxx the album came about because she “had just reached a dark place” and writing it captured her “trying to heal from something traumatic.”

Medford released her Star Stuff EP in 2022, but on Thursday (August 10), she reappeared to give Show Me How You Disappear its full-length follow-up. Sucker will arrive on November 3, and if the lead single is any indication, she’s in a much better place.

“Your Spit” arrived alongside a Brittany Reeber-directed video simultaneous with the album announcement, setting an uninhibited tone. In the video, Medford goes solo to the movie theater. While surrounded by couples making out, she sings of craving the same passion: “Kiss me like you mean it / Kiss me like you’re leavin’ / Your spit tastes different.”

“‘Your Spit’ is about the joy and fear that surrounds new relationships. The excitement that’s also accompanied by doubt. But I’d be lying if I didn’t say the song is just mostly about making out,” Medford explained in a statement.

She also added to context to the album as a whole, stating, “Show Me How You Disappear was written during a really difficult period of my life after reckoning with a mental health crisis. I survived that very moment in my life through writing that record, and the extreme urgency to heal is reflected in the songwriting. With Sucker, I felt more capable to take my time and experiment without being totally afraid of the outcome. It wasn’t life or death — it was just life, and I was lucky to be living it.”
