Gunna may be stressed out from the legal issues that have been plaguing him and the other members of YSL Records for the past year, but that won’t stop him from making his own entertainment. In the video for “F*kumean” from his new album A Gift And A Curse, Gunna throws a boat party with some of his lady friends — but not before stopping for “party favors” at a local sex shop. The video plays out like a home video, complete with fisheye lenses and other in-camera effects to give viewers the impression of being there.
“F*kumean” is a more fun, upbeat single for Gunna after prior releases “Back To The Moon” and “Alright” found the Atlanta rapper in a contemplative — and somewhat combative — mood. In the video for “Bread & Butter,” Gunna took at and refuted the sentiments circulating throughout the hip-hop community that he “snitched” on Young Thug, which have caused him to lose even close collaborators like Wheezy as plenty of respected figures in hip-hop turn their backs on him — even though many of those same performers insist there was nothing to snitch about in the first place.

A major international basketball tournament will occur this summer, as the 2023 FIBA World Cup runs from Aug. 25 until Sept. 10. These events tend to have plenty of NBA players suiting up for their national teams, and for Greece, their hopes of making some noise largely revolve around the fact that Giannis Antetokounmpo plays for them.
While the Greeks have plenty of seasoned pros and have rose to ninth place in the most recent FIBA rankings, Antetokounmpo is clearly their best player. Unfortunately for Greece, Antetokounmpo’s availability to participate this time around is up in the air, as Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that the former NBA MVP underwent “a cleanup procedure on his knee,” and as a result, it’s unclear if he’ll be able to give it a go.
Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo underwent a cleanup procedure on his knee two weeks ago and is uncertain for Greece’s FIBA World Cup play this summer, sources confirm.
Greece is in Group C, which features the United States, Jordan, and New Zealand. While the Americans are unsurprisingly the favorites to make it out of the group, New Zealand is 26th and Jordan is 33rd in the most recent FIBA rankings, and neither would be pushovers without Antetokounmpo in the fold. Greece’s first game in group play will take place on August 26 against Jordan.
It’s unclear which knee required the procedure, but Antetokounmpo did suffer injuries this year to both his left and right knees.
“I started listening to ANOHNI in high school, so it’s a huge honor to help her build a visual world for WAIAN,” Schafer shared in a statement. “This music video was an honest attempt to answer the question that WAIAN begs, Why Am I Alive Now? I wanted to focus on the idea of finding sisterhood in a world that does nothing to help – I hope the direction, choreography, and tone conveys a small piece of that journey.”
Tomorrow, July 6, at 3 p.m. ET, ANOHNI will perform the album live on her YouTube channel — with Nomi Ruiz making a special guest appearance. The event will also include a filmed conversation between the musician and Schafer.
“Some of these songs respond to global and environmental concerns first voiced in popular music over 50 years ago,” she said about the upcoming album.

As Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny whipped into theaters over the holiday weekend, Tom Cruise had nothing but praise for the film’s star, Harrison Ford. Despite turning 81 later this month, Ford has no plans of retiring from acting, and Cruise hopes to be the same way in his later years, only with way more motorcycle jumps and death-defying stunts.
“Harrison Ford is a legend; I hope to be still going. I’ve got 20 years to catch up with him,” Cruise said. “I hope to keep making ‘Mission: Impossible’ films until I’m his age.”
Of course, making it to 80 isn’t guaranteed for Cruise. For the latest Mission: Impossible film, the actor pushed himself to the limit by doing a wildly dangerous motorcycle stunt on the very first day of shooting. Both Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie have touted the stunt as the cornerstone of the film, and in a surprisingly candid moment, Cruise recently revealed that he had concerns about pulling off the jump. When Tom Cruise is suddenly worried about breaking Tom Cruise’s neck, you know the stunt is insane.
“Well, we know we’re either going to continue with the film — or we’re not,” Cruise told Entertainment Tonight with a laugh. “Let’s know Day One. I wanna know. What is gonna happen? Do we continue, or is it a major rewrite?”
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One jumps into theaters on July 12.
After starting his NBA career as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers, Matisse Thybulle packed up and made his way back to the Pacific Northwest when he was sent to the Portland Trail Blazers at the trade deadline. The Blazers got to watch him play in 22 games after the move, and right away, they’re faced with a major decision: How do they want to play Thybulle’s restricted free agency?
The No. 2o pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, Thybulle hit the open market this summer, although Portland reserves the right to match any offer that Thybulle might receive. And on Wednesday, we learned that Thybulle has a suitor elsewhere in the Western Conference, as Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report brought word that he intends to sign an offer sheet with the Dallas Mavericks.
The terms of the offer sheet are unclear right now, and it’s not known if Portland will match and bring Thybulle back. He would, however, make a ton of sense alongside Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving as a difference maker on the defensive end of the floor, especially if he’s able to consistently knock down the open looks for three that the duo would generate for him.
While his offensive games has never quite come around and his ability to consistently hit shots from three has been up-and-down during his career, Thybulle is one of the NBA’s most destructive players on the defensive end of the floor. During his time with the Sixers last year — 49 games with six starts — Thybulle averaged 2.7 points, 1.3 rebounds, 0.9 steals, 0.5 assists, and 0.3 blocks in 12.1 minutes per game while hitting 33.3 percent of his attempts from three. He did, however, see noticeable upticks across the board in Portland, as he started all 22 games in which he appeared and averaged 7.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.7 steals, 1.4 assists, and 0.8 blocks in 27.7 minutes a night. As a bonus, he was a 38.8 percent shooter from deep in Portland.
Welcome to July! It’s hard to believe that the year is already halfway over. Still, pop artists are gearing up to keep the summer vibes going — returning to share new music and even full albums. This week is complete with dance-ready vibes and other tracks that will get you in touch with your emotions.

Olivia Rodrigo — “Vampire”
As the first glimpse of her sophomore album, Rodrigo’s “Vampire” finds her emotionally struggling after someone took advantage of her — and others along the way. Complete with a music video that doubles as an industry critique, she pushes right back against the “blood sucker” and “fame f*cker” types of the world.
Charli XCX — “Speed Drive”
Now that it’s July, the Barbie movie is almost ready to hit theaters. Building anticipation is the equally-bubbly soundtrack, which features Charli XCX’s “Speed Drive.” The fast-paced song proves that Charli doesn’t miss when she’s behind the wheel.
Shakira — “Copa Vacia” (feat. Manuel Turizo)
Shakira wants more out of a relationship on “Copa Vacia” — translated to “Empty Cup.” Throughout the track, she points out that the other person is always busy and they should focus on her instead of work. Complete with Turizo’s appearance as a prince figure in the music video, the duo really brought The Little Mermaid vibes.
Alok, Ava Max — “Car Keys”
Another driving-themed entry this week, Ava Max teamed up with the Brazilian DJ Alok for this hit. “I’m the keys to your car, babe / If you lose me then, baby, good luck,” Max warns in the chorus as she gives a final reminder.
Holly Humberstone — “Room Service”
The second of Holly Humberstone‘s double song drop, “Room Service” is the softer side, painting a picture where she is able to hide away with a love interest in a hotel room. “And someday / We’ll look around to see we’ve lived another year,” she adds.
Keltiey — “Kn0” (feat. Skaiwater)
The latest in Keltiey’s string of songs from this year, “Kn0” is an anthem about defining a relationship, blended with the lightness of the instrumental. It’s definitely worth checking out for the music video too, which goes from butterfly princess to roller disco vibes.
The Last Dinner Party — “Sinner”
“‘Sinner’ is a story of self-acceptance, and the longing for the past and present self to become one,” The Last Dinner Party’s guitarist, Lizzie Mayland, shared via Far Out. “Born from a breakbeat drum sample, ‘Sinner’ is punctuated by ripping guitar lines and harmony-filled vocal breakdowns.”
Delacey — “Slot Machine”
Delacey recently dropped her sophomore album, This Girl Has A Dream. One of the standouts is “Slot Machine,” as her songwriting abilities shine over a moody, jazz-inspired instrumental. For listeners who might not be familiar, if you love Lana Del Rey-ish vibes, you’ll love this too.
Becky G — “La Nena” (feat. Gabito Ballesteros)
Becky G’s “La Nena” collab tells “the story of a woman who is empowered and chooses to continue dancing through life despite having her heart broken,” she shared. As the video manages a similar carefree and empowering energy, we’re looking forward to what her next album brings.
Jon Batiste — “Calling Your Name”
After Jon Batiste won Album Of The Year at last year’s Grammys, he is now gearing up for his new record — giving fans a preview with “Calling Your Name.” As the next album aims to show listeners the “interstellar regions of the universe,” per a statement, this song definitely keeps in line with the out-of-this-world feeling.

The current state of play in a Damian Lillard trade seems pretty simple. Lillard wants a trade from the Portland Trail Blazers, with his heart apparently set on a move to the Miami Heat. The issue is that Miami’s best offer involves sending Tyler Herro to Portland, and he’s just a little too repetitive with the team’s young trio of Scoot Henderson, Shaedon Sharpe, and Anfernee Simons. Add in that he’s about to enter the first year of a 4-year, $120 million contract and it makes sense why the Blazers would have some trepidation about just appeasing Lillard without thinking about what’s best for them.
As such, there are a few ways this can go. Portland could just take the Heat’s best offer, or it could send Lillard elsewhere and deal with whatever apparent consequences would come from that. And then, there’s a third option, which is to try and pull other teams in on a multi-team deal, and according to Marc Spears of ESPN, there are several teams that would be interested in helping to facilitate a Lillard-to-Miami trade.
Via ESPN:
Damian Lillard wants to play for Miami and only Miami, I have been continually told since Saturday. Certainly, it’s easier said than done. I’m told that while Portland isn’t happy with potential packages, there are over five teams interested in a potential multiteam trade that could get it done. It won’t be today or tomorrow or perhaps the next day, but I believe it will ultimately end up with Lillard going to Miami. While Lillard does not have a no-trade clause, it doesn’t make sense to trade for a future Hall of Famer who doesn’t want to be there.
While Spears didn’t explicitly say this would mean a team would take Herro to make a deal happen, it would certainly make sense if there are teams out there that would want to acquire his services for the next four years as a high-scoring wing who can add some playmaking and rebounding.
There are few things more magical for a young girl than spending a warm summer night in Paris in front of the lights of the Eiffel Tower. But Joel Redhead, 29, took things up a notch recently when he convinced his daughter, Esmae, that she turned on the lights all by herself.
The father and daughter duo were in Paris celebrating Esmae’s 8th birthday. Sadly, her mother couldn’t be there for health reasons.
Joel, from Yorkshire, England, told his daughter they were going to Liverpool for the weekend, but after spending a night in the city, that next morning, he surprised her with a trip to the City of Light.
“When we woke her up in the hotel the morning of our trip at 5 am and broke the news to her, she was completely overjoyed, but the excitement didn’t end there,” he told The Yorkshire Post.
She asked who made it sparkle so Daddy gave her the job ✨🇫🇷 #eiffeltower #paris #wholesome #tourist #emotionalmoments #loveyou #fypシ
Joel packed a light switch for the trip, and when they arrived at the Eiffel Tower, he told his daughter that she was responsible for turning the lights on that night. He handed her the switch, and she turned her back to the tower. When the lights came on, she flipped the switch, turned around and countless sparkling lights illuminated the city.
Later, the dad told his daughter that the switch wasn’t connected to the tower, but she loved the experience anyway.
“She said she felt magical, and though now she knows that daddy set this up to give her a memory of a lifetime and how the lights really worked, she finds it hilarious that we pranked the people around us who believed she turned them on,” he said.
HBO’s controversial new series The Idol came to an end this past Sunday. While the series has been panned by critics, Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye, who created the show alongside Sam Levinson and Reza Fahim, stood by the series through its short, five-episode run.
Following its even more polarizing finale, The Weeknd took to Instagram to share a reflective post about the journey to the show.
“the finale,” read the post’s caption. “grateful to share this moment with you all as the season comes to an end. continue to push the vision no matter how bumpy the journey.”
In the photo carousel are pictures of The Weeknd as his character, the cult leader, Tedros — as well as Lily-Rose Depp, who plays pop star Jocelyn, Levinson, and much of the show’s cast.
And of course, The Idol‘s journey has certainly been bumpy, as he notes in the post’s caption. Back in March, the show was the subject of a scathing Rolling Stone exposé which brought to light the alleged toxic working conditions during the show’s production. It also received several negative reviews from critics during its premiere at Cannes Film Festival back in May.
At the time of writing, it has not yet been confirmed if HBO will bring The Idol back for a second season.
