Over the past year, Doechii has earned a reputation as one of the breakout rap sensations of the past half decade. However, the video for “ExtraL,” from Blackpink’s Jennie, the K-pop star proves she’s a formidable rapper in her own right. Asking the familiar question, “do my ladies run this?” the song is a heavy-hitting display of both stars’ ability to not only rip rhymes, but serve styles, as they mug, strut, and pose in the Lyrical Lemonade production.
To further promote Ruby, Jennie announced a short string of live performances titled The Ruby Experience to take over theaters in Los Angeles and New York, along with her hometown, Seoul, this March.

Earlier today, J. Cole used his blog to explain the difficulty in maintaining his work-life balance. And then, just hours later, perhaps as a mea culpa for keeping fans waiting for both new music and blog updates, he’s released a new track via the site called “Clouds.” The song features dreamy production, likely courtesy of Cole himself, and wordplay riddled verses in which he gets deep into his lyrical bag.
“I’m that bass in your trunk, the bullet that missed Trump / The gun that jammed, cuz it seemed God had other plans,” he raps on the track, which finds him contemplating aging, the world changing, and his reluctance to go out when he might be recognized and hassled due to his fame.
When Cole first announced the blog, he explained that it was a way for him to “post random sh*t I f*ck with where the audience is way smaller than it is on the social media platforms.” That didn’t stop fans from interpreting it as a sign that his long-awaited album, The Fall-Off, was on the horizon, forcing him to clear the air in a later post. “Ib told me some people was thinking this blog meant an album was about to drop. Nahhh. Not exactly. when it’s time for something you will know. This is not that. I just wanted a place to share documentaries I be watching on YouTube and songs I f*ck with.”

The buzz for alt-rap duo Paris Texas has been growing over the past few years, with co-signs and support from big-name acts like Kevin Abstract and Tyler The Creator, who added them as openers to his Chromakopia Tour, which kicked off earlier this month. They were also added to Pigeons & Planes’ 2024 compilation See You Next Year 2, which was recorded at Shangri-La Studio and aimed to highlight buzzy underground acts expected to take off in the next year, such as AG Club, Deb Never, Kenny Mason, and Skaiwater.
That takeoff could be on the horizon as Paris Texas surprise-dropped “Infinyte,” a chaotic new single, today. They’d been teasing… something… via surreal video clips on social media, culminating in the release of the rap-rock track. Its energetic production is representative of their usual releases, which has garnered them fans in the Los Angeles area for its rebellious vibe. Basically, if you were the kid who drew on your desk all day in school (or they stuck your desk in the hallway to preserve the peace), they are speaking for you.
As for their future plans, well.. you’ll just have to stay tuned to see what they think of next.
Last month, Swedish rapper Yung Lean announced that he would be releasing a new album, Jonatan, sometime in the near future. If you had told me ten years ago that any of us should be taking Yung Lean seriously as an artist, let alone that he’d be releasing an album anticipated by anyone other than internet hipsters, I would called them people on you. And yet, here we are; Lean has released a new song, “Forever Yung,” along with a black-and-white video that will make you wonder, a decade into Lean’s career, whether he’s still just trolling us all.
Filmed in Budapest, and including what looks like a redneck funeral procession, some untimely Uncle Sam imagery, and a pair of swimsuit models, the “Forever Yung” video feels like either an ode to Americana or a parody thereof, which feels par for the course when it comes to Yung Lean. But there’s something charming about the meme-rap star remaining humble enough to include his parents, sister, hometown friends, and worldwide supporters in the video, according to its press release. He may be rubbing elbows with the likes of Charli XCX (as both a musician and an actor), but apparently, he’s remaining pretty down-to-earth, refusing to take himself all that seriously — which makes perfect sense.
With their joint album, I Said I Love You First, one month away, Selena Gomez and her beau Benny Blanco have shared the video for the latest single, “Call Me When You Break Up,” featuring Gracie Abrams.
The song details a situation(ship) that’s all too familiar in the age of online dating and DM diving: an unrequited attraction with someone who already has a partner who is no good for them (in your head, at least). The video, which mirrors a late-night drunk video call, sees the two singers chanting the title’s refrain into the front facing camera. Meanwhile, Blanco’s instrumentation is upbeat and energetic, giving the passive-aggressive lyrics a cheeky, facetious air — unless, of course, the voice mail in question has the desired result.
When Netflix put their MCU shows out to pasture a handful of years ago, that could have been the end of the line for The Defenders. Then Disney+ made the seemingly unlikely move of popping that group’s individual series into their mostly wholesome streaming library. Now, Daredevil: Born Again is promising to deliver an incredibly violent original series (obviously a very TV-MA one) on Disney+. Defenders-tangential Frank Castle/The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) will also appear in the series focused on Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) returning to his Hell’s Kitchen stomping grounds, so naturally, it’s worth wondering if a certain private investigator will also be revived onscreen.
Will Another Jessica Jones Series Happen On Disney+?
Nothing is official yet, but chatter has been ongoing. Star Krysten Ritter heard about Marvel Streaming (TV and Animation) Chief Brad Winderbaum tossing the idea around, and she is down. As Deadline reported, Ritter threw down the gauntlet: “C’mon Brad. Let’s get it going. Let’s do it. I’ll be ready.”
This week, Winderbaum spoke with Entertainment Weekly and stopped short of confirming a Jessica Jones return but provided more texture:
“I can’t say much, but I’ll tell you that it’s so exciting to be able to play in that sandbox. Obviously we don’t have the unlimited storytelling resources like a comic book. If you can draw it, you can do it. It’s dealing with actors and time and the massive scale of production in order to build a cinematic universe, especially on television. But I can just say that all those variables taken into account, it is certainly something that is creatively extremely exciting and that we are very much exploring.”
This means that the door also isn’t closed to Luke Cage (Mike Colter) or Danny Rand/Iron Fist (Finn Jones) reappearing at some point. Yet Krysten Ritter has been so forthright about her willingness to return (and she firmly believes in manifestation) that her leather jacket, infinity scarf, and infamous jeans seem almost destined to be in front of the camera before long. Carrie-Anne Moss, on the other hand, recently revealed that she’s pretty sure that Jeri Hogarth wouldn’t return to the Jessica Jones scene, but you never know.
While the audience awaits further news, one season of The Defenders and three seasons of Jessica Jones are currently streaming on Disney+.
Earlier this month, Lady Gaga delivered one of the biggest surprises of the 2025 Grammys when she dropped a new song, “Abracadabra,” right in the middle of the show. She debuted the track via an impressive video filled with dancers and tight choreography. The video directed by Gaga along with Parris Goebel and Bethany Vargas (and it features choreography by Parris Goebel), and Gaga stars alongside 40 dancers.
As for how that all happened, Gaga has pulled back the curtain some in a new behind-the-scenes video.
The four-minute video shows off footage from dance rehearsals. The video is ultimately similar to the finished video; It’s more off-the-cuff footage shot in a rehearsal space, but it sees everybody going through the choreography, offering a look at what the creation process of something of this scale is like.
Gaga said previously that her upcoming album “started as me facing my fear of returning to the pop music my earliest fans loved. She also described the creative process as “reassembling a shattered mirror: even if you can’t put the pieces back together perfectly, you can create something beautiful and whole in its own new way.”
Check out the rehearsal video above.

The Nickelodeon/Disney-to-musician pipeline has so far primarily yielded pop stars like Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande. Leon Thomas is different, though, as the former Victorious star (alongside Grande) has increasingly become a major player in the R&B space. His 2024 album Mutt was a real breakthrough moment for Thomas, and now he’s hit a significant milestone: He just performed his first NPR Tiny Desk Concert, the video of which was shared today (February 20).
Over the course of 20 smooth minutes, he busted out a five-song set featuring “Vibes Don’t Lie,” “Yes It Is,” “Mutt,” “Breaking Point,” and “Treasure In The Hills.” He was joined by a backing band featuring Chris Payton (guitar), Ali Roots (keys and piano), Joe “Jough” Cleveland (bass), Quintin “Q” Gulledge (drums), Ayana Layli (background vocals), and Sha’Leah Nikole (background vocals).
Thomas previously told Uproxx of Mutt in an interview, “I went through some breakups and some turbulence that really turned into some amazing songs. It was cool to live life and express myself through music on this new project. It’s definitely a labor of love and I feel like I really found an amazing pocket to live in for this new album.”
If you’re looking for the best classic shake (meaning chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry) Shake Shack is your best bet, we know, we ranked shakes from 16 different fast food restaurants and the brand came out on top. And while we love the classics, if you’re looking for a more adventurous blend of flavors, where should you go?
Well, the answer is still Shake Shack. The brand loves adding seasonal flavors to its menu that are often superior to the base menu. This is really saying something because Shake Shack already has some seriously great burgers and chicken sandwiches, but they continually impress us with their limited offerings (shout out to the Spicy Shackmeister and Hot Chicken Sandwich). This new trio of shakes is no exception.
Available from now until April 28th, the new flavors include Thai Iced Tea, Cherry Blossom, and Brownie Batter Hot Cocoa. While we like all three, we thought it might be helpful to rank them for you so you know what to expect before you drop nearly $7 on a shake! Let’s sip.
3. Brownie Batter Hot Cocoa
Dane Rivera
Thoughts & Tasting Notes:
We’re sorry chocolate fans, but the Brownie Batter Hot Cocoa was our least favorite of the trio. It’s not that this shake isn’t good, it just doesn’t offer anything all that different than Shake Shack’s stock chocolate shake, which we like much more.
Where that shake is rich and decadent, this one is a bit creamier and much sweeter. I’m tasting smooth fudge notes and a gentle hint of vanilla. The shake is topped with whipped cream and some brownie crisp crumbles. Don’t get us wrong, this shake is good, but I find the other two flavors much more novel.
The Bottom Line:
Chocolate fans, give it a try. It offers a sweeter and creamier version of Shake Shack’s chocolate shake. But if you want something a bit more adventurous, the other two flavors will deliver.
2. Thai Iced Tea
Dane Rivera
Thoughts & Tasting Notes:
Shake Shack’s Thai Iced Tea is a masterclass in nuance and complexity. I’m tasting a lot here: sweet and delicate vanilla custard is joined by gentle spiced cardamom, cinnamon, star anise notes with a creamy and floral finish. It’s not as intensely spicy or malty as the Thai tea you’ll get at a Thai restaurant or boba shop, but instead, it offers a more delicate spice blend.
The shake is topped with whipped cream and black sugar syrup, which gives the drink a slight caramel vibe when mixed into the base.
The Bottom Line:
A gently spicy, complex, and nuanced shake. If you like a shake that’ll bring you a new bouquet of flavors with every sip, this one is for you.
1. Cherry Blossom Shake
Dane Rivera
Thoughts & Tasting Notes:
The Cherry Blossom is undoubtedly our top pick. The flavor profile is simple: the Shack’s vanilla custard spun with cherry blossom flavor and topped with whipped cream and some pink sprinkles. But what this shake offers is a truly unique flavor.
While vanilla dominates, the cherry notes that hover over the base offer a mix of delicate, floral, almost almond-like notes. It’s incredibly nuanced and truly unlike any other milkshake currently offered in fast food. For that alone, we think picking up the Cherry Blossom Shake is a must.
The Bottom Line:
Sweet, delicate, floral, and unique. The Cherry Blossom Shake is worth an immediate trip to Shake Shack.
The ever-evolving Rico Nasty has entered a new era.
Today (February 20), the “Arintintin” rapper announced a new album, Lethal, that finds her reflecting on — and reckoning with — the rage-rap persona she created.
“This album is about being confident and saying f*ck everybody else,” Rico Nasty said. “It’s about getting doors slammed in your face and people telling you to try it their way again and again, and you stay true to yourself and it works. That’s what this project is. It’s an ode to yourself.”
Lethal is Rico Nasty’s first album for label Fueled By Ramen, the punk-heavy home of Fall Out Boy, Meet Me @ The Altar, and A Day To Remember.
Lead single “Teethsucker (Yea3x),” which leans into rock as much as it does rap, is “the first song I wrote for the album, and the first song I ever wrote with Imad Royal, who executive produced Lethal,” Rico Nasty said in a statement. “We all knew this song was special from the moment we turned it in. And what’s a better way to start the new era than by poppin out like a titty????”
You can watch the titty-poppin’ “Teethsucker (Yea3x)” video above, and take a look at the album cover for Lethal below.
