Megan Thee Stallion Explained Why She Probably Won’t Drop New Music In The Near Future

Megan Thee Stallion has faced a ton of stress in her life lately thanks to the Tory Lanez trial. As for when she plans to drop new music, she’s going to need a minute.

In a new interview with InStyle, Megan said, “Fans can expect new music when I’m in a better place. Right now, I’m focused on healing.” The publication notes, “These days, that looks like spending time with her dogs, working out, bingeing TV shows, and simply finding new ways to protect her peace. You can now find her setting boundaries and incorporating rest days into her schedule to take care of both her physical and mental health.”

Meg added, “The music and entertainment industry can be a grind, so it’s important to take time off and avoid burning out. Life is all about balance.”

This comes about a month after Meg said in a different interview, “This is a rebirth of a happier and healthier me. I’m a survivor and I have — and will continue — to embrace the highs and lows of my journey. I’m excited to get back into music, because I have been so transformed. I’m playing around with new songs and new sounds that I can’t wait for everyone to hear.”

Megan Thee Stallion is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Trump Turned On His Old Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany With One Of His Weirdest Insults Yet

Donald Trump famously demands utmost loyalty from his cronies. He doesn’t exactly return the favor. Cross or disappoint him in even the smallest way and he’ll turn on you. That’s what Kayleigh McEnany has learned. The former president’s fourth and final press secretary has been in the tank for Ron DeSantis since late last year, but it wasn’t until she claimed he wasn’t beating him in the polls as much as he is.

On Tuesday night, McEnany made an appearance on Jesse Watters Primetime, where she claimed Trump is “only” beating DeSantis by 25 points. That was enough to make Trump mad enough that he bestowed upon her her own nickname.

“Kayleigh ‘Milktoast’ McEnany just gave out the wrong poll numbers on FoxNews,” Trump raged. I am 34 points up on DeSanctimonious, not 25 up. While 25 is great, it’s not 34. While 25 is great, it’s not 34. She knew the number was corrected upwards by the group that did the poll. The RINOS & Globalists can have her. FoxNews should only use REAL Stars!!!”

Trump insinuating that she’s a liar and that she isn’t a “REAL” star was one thing. But most people couldn’t get past the supposedly mean nickname: Did he mean to write “Milktoast” or does he really not know the word is “milquetoast.”

Whatever the case, people laughed at him.

Some thought it a weird insult.

Others remembered Trump’s past verbal blunders, like “hamberders.”

There were jokes.

Some took him literally.

Some argued that it was cruel of Trump to turn on McEnany considering how often she lied for him.

Others argued that one oughtn’t feel bad for Kayleigh McEnany.

Later that evening guest Chip Roy seemed to be reference the dust-up to her face.

Saweetie And YG Seem To Confirm Their Relationship In Romantic New Photos

Saweetie is having a big year. She hopped on a remix of Baby Tate’s viral “Hey, Mickey!” and she was brought out during Latto’s Coachella performance. Now, it looks like her love life has a lot going on as well.

The “My Type” performer has been rumored to be dating fellow rapper YG after the two were allegedly at Coachella together. They also both collaborated with Tyga on “Money Mouf” and Mozzy on “In My Face.” However, photographic evidence has surfaced Tuesday, May 30 of the pair getting close in Cabo.

Though fans are excited for romance in Saweetie’s life, they would also like new material from her, especially considering she’s been putting off her debut album for quite some time. In March, she talked about why it’s been taking a while. “I feel like a debut album is not something you just put out,” she said. “It’s not something you play with. I’m a Cancer, so I like to overthink sometimes, but I think you have to be really careful with that, and I take my art really serious.

“I’ve been through a lot of interesting experiences,” she added. “So, I wanna put that all into my album in the most artistic and organic way.”

Saweetie is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

What Does ‘FUBAR’ Mean In The Netflix Series?

With FUBAR, Arnold Schwarzenegger makes his TV leading man debut. On the Netflix show, which quickly jumped to the top of the charts, the former governor and Top Gun: Maverick’s Monica Barbaro) play a father and daughter who discover they’re each secret CIA operatives. There’s shoot-outs and chases and faintly True Lies-y humor. But what does the all-caps title mean?

If you don’t know, obviously you’ve never been in the military, or you’ve watched too few military movies. As an acronym, FUBAR has a few meanings, but the most commonly used one is “F*cked Up Beyond All Repair.” Sometimes the R stands for “Recognition.” The etymology for the term is fuzzy, but it’s believed to have originated in World War II. Some stories swap out “F*cked” for the more family-friendly “Fouled.”

Some people change it to the even more frank “F*cked Up By Assholes in the Rear.”

Like most slang, FUBAR has come and gone. It resurfaced in the 1970s when it found its way into management-speak, used by corporate executives, not by soldiers describing the danger they’re in and/or the leaders who have put their lives at risk. It came back again thanks to movies like Tango & Cash in the late ‘80s and Saving Private Ryan in the late ‘90s.

And now it’s back again, all thanks to Ah-nuld.

FUBAR now streams on Netflix.

Fall Out Boy Guitarist Joe Trohman Is ‘Officially Back’ After Stepping Away For Mental Health Reasons

At the beginning of this year, Fall Out Boy guitarist Joe Trohman announced he was temporarily departing from the band. “Without divulging all the details, I must disclose that my mental health has rapidly deteriorated over the past several years,” he wrote. “So, to avoid fading away and never returning, I will be taking a break from work which regrettably includes stepping away from Fall Out Boy for a spell.”

The band has since released their new album So Much (For) Stardust (which had an unexpected feature from Ethan Hawke). Now Trohman is rejoining the group, according to his enthusiastic new Instagram post, which means he’s ready to hit the road on the massive Fall Out Boy tour with Bring Me The Horizon, Alkaline Trio, New Found Glory, and more.

“Hey everyone,” he wrote in the caption, “I’m officially back! I want to thank everyone for the love and support while I took some time away to focus on my brain and get healthy for my family, my friends and myself. I also want to thank Ben Young for stepping up and filling in on the shows I missed – He is a true gentleman and a scholar. I’m stoked to be back in action and I can’t wait to see everyone on tour this summer!”

Claud Shares ‘Crumbs’ And ‘Wet,’ Two Powerful New Singles From Their Forthcoming Album ‘Supermodels’

Earlier this month, Claud announced their sophomore album Supermodels, which follows 2021’s successful Super Monster. The lead single “Every F*cking Time” was an emotional ballad with visceral lyricism that previewed a mature record. Now they’re back with two more tracks, “Crumbs” and “Wet.”

“Crumbs,” like “Every F*cking Time,” has a slow pace and a gentle sound but powerful lines. “I’d kill for you I killed for you and I did it for love / ‘Cause the little things are adding up,” they lull against soft chords. “Wet” is a little more upbeat but retains a lo-fi, intimate aura as they sing about complicated relationships.

“‘Crumbs’ was born out of a couple tearful days inside, while ‘Wet’ was written in one fast sitting, the writing process as kinetic as the outcome,” they explained in a statement. “Writing both of these songs felt like dropping a boulder into a pond, really shaking up the way I look at myself as an artist. My hands tremble when I play these songs for people, which means I’ve accessed a new vulnerability in my songwriting that I hadn’t gotten to before. I’m so excited to release ‘Crumbs’ and ‘Wet’ into the world.”

Supermodels is out 7/14 on Saddest Factory Records. Find more information here.

Draymond Green Tore Into The Celtics, Who ‘Are Who We Thought They Were,’ After They Lost To The Heat

There are plenty of reasons why the Boston Celtics fell in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals to the Miami Heat. Some of the obvious ones: Jayson Tatum rolled his ankle on the opening play of the game and was not right after that, Jaylen Brown struggled to get much of anything going, Robert Williams was sick, the Heat shot lights out from three, Caleb Martin had the game of his life, etc.

On the most recent episode of his podcast, Draymond Green submitted his own theory for why Boston wasn’t able to get the job done with its season and a spot in the NBA Finals on the line. Basically, Green posited that the team that took the floor and laid an egg on Monday night simply “are who we thought they were.”

“The Boston Celtics are who we thought they were,” Green says with a smile on his face. “They got to the moment and they did not look like they were ready for the moment. All of a sudden, all the shots were short again. All of a sudden they looked like they couldn’t play basketball with their left hand again. All of a sudden, they looked like exactly who we thought they were.”

Green went on to say that he saw some similarities between this Celtics team and the team from “the closeout game last season,” which is presumably a reference to the Golden State Warriors’ 103-90 win over them in Game 6 of the 2022 NBA Finals where Boston trailed by as many as 22 points and Golden State opened up a major lead by going on a 21-0 run across the first and second quarters. It has gotten to the point, Green says, that “you start to question, like, does that become your M.O.?”

Pediatrician shares two simple tips that could save a child’s life at a pool party

It’s that time of year when the weather across the country is warm enough for families to enjoy outdoor barbecues, picnics and pool parties. That means it’s also the time of year when tragedy will strike a certain percentage of families who get blindsided by how quickly and easily a child can drown in a backyard pool, even when they’re surrounded by people who care about them and their safety.

We’ve all been at a gathering where adults are coming and going, chatting, setting up food, taking trips to the bathroom, all while kids are busy playing in the water. In such scenarios, it’s easy to assume that someone else is keeping an eye on the pool.

But as pediatrician Diane Arnaout has shared, the harrowing reality is that the more people there are at a pool party the more likely it is that a child could slip into the pool or become distressed in the water without anyone noticing.

In a Facebook post that has been shared more than 77,000 times, Dr. Arnaout wrote:

“The more folks present, the safer the pool is, right?

Wrong.

The more people present, the more DISTRACTIONS or ASSUMPTIONS.

Do not assume someone is watching over your kid.

Do not assume that older kids will help out smaller kids.

Do not assume that there is a commotion with drowning.

Do not assume your small child is hanging out inside the house (they wander outside, and to the pool).

Drowning is silent, quick, and devastating. There is no splashing. There is no crying out. There is no screaming.”

When people picture someone drowning, they often imagine flailing arms and splashing in the water, and maybe someone crying out for help when they get their mouth above water. But that’s not how it looks at all. It’s calm, quiet and easy to not notice if someone isn’t watching for it.

That’s why Arnaout suggests two prevention tips that can increase the chance of catching a kid in trouble in a pool before the situation becomes dire.

“If you or your friends are getting together this summer and a pool is involved (EVEN A LITTLE TODDLER BLOW-UP POOL, OR A WATER SLIDE WITH A COLLECTION POOL AT THE BOTTOM), you MUST assign a person to watch the kids.

My friends and I have come up with two plans:

1) everybody chips in $10 and we hire a lifeguard for the party

2) We are all assigned the WATER WATCHER BAND – you can get these at my office or make one of your own. The person who wears it is in charge of watching the water at all times. Trade it out with someone else every 15-20 minutes.

This assures the kids are observed constantly!”

The Water Watcher bands she has pictured are something her facility gives out, but she explained that people can make their own. And it doesn’t have to be a bracelet—just anything that signifies a specific person as a designated pool watcher.

“Please remember that this concept could be something as easy as a scrunchie on the wrist, a rubber ball or toy to hold, or a plastic lanyard around the neck,” Arnaout wrote in a comment. “The point is—the person wearing or holding it is committed to being completely distraction-free: no phones, no conversing with others, and completely focused on the pool. Remember the LAYERS of protection you can give your kids: education by talking to them about pool safety, swim lessons, lifejackets (US Coast Guard approved), and observation!”

The no distractions part is huge. A pool watcher should be watching the pool. Adults can take turns in 15 or 20-minute increments even, as long as someone is tasked with the job is watching the water.

Comments on Arnaout’s post are filled with the loved ones of children who have drowned or nearly drowned in pools, and their stories are devastating. It happens much more easily than people think, which is why it’s vital to take proactive precautionary measures and not assume that because a group is full of responsible adults someone will notice a child drowning. It happens too fast and too quietly, even when adults are nearby. A designated person to watch the pool and know what to look for is one of the best ways to prevent such tragedies from occurring.

Will Kendrick Lamar And Baby Keem Headline Camp Flog Gnaw 2023?

Last year, Tyler The Creator did not host his annual Camp Flog Gnaw festival. “It’s really not that deep,” his manager Chris Clancy explained at the time. “Tyler toured all year and was busy with a number of projects. Reading the tea leaves and what’s happening with festivals coming out of the pandemic, we thought it would be best to come back next year.”

Fans are awaiting an announcement. But Tuesday, May 30 was a big signifier of exciting things en route. Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar, noted cousins and collaborators, teamed up for a new song called “The Hillbillies,” in which they rap over a sample of Bon Iver’s “PDLIF.” The video catches the pair in LA’s Beverly Center Mall as well as Dodger Stadium.

Where Camp Flog Gnaw comes into play is when Tyler The Creator makes an unexpected cameo toward the end of the video, appearing alongside Keem and Kenny at the Dodger Stadium entrance where a button on his shirt announces that the festival is returning for 2023.

So, are Kendrick Lamar and Baby Keem headlining this year’s Camp Flog Gnaw? It’s not confirmed, but it’s looking quite safe to assume so. Why else would the announcement occur in their music video?

Watch the video above.
