Fyre Fest’s Billy McFarland Wants To Box Ja Rule Now

Fyre Festival founder Billy McFarland has been back in the public eye recently. McFarland, who was released from prison last year, let attendees down with his failed festival, but he also left local workers hanging, who didn’t get the payment they deserved for their contributions to the event. Now, though, McFarland is cooking up a plan to get them their money, and it involves getting in the boxing ring with Ja Rule.

On the April 28 episode of the Off The Record podcast, McFarland chats with host DJ Akademiks. At one point during the conversation, McFarland took a FaceTime call with an associate, who spoke about a potential boxing match between McFarland and Ja Rule. Somebody is apparently willing to pay $350,000 to make a “15-minute” fight between the two happen, which McFarland said would “get every worker in the Bahamas paid back in full,” with neither McFarland or Ja Rule receiving any payment themselves.

As for how that bout would go, McFarland said, “He’ll probably beat me, like 80-percent chance he wins, and that’s fine.”

McFarland, meanwhile, is working on launching another music festival. He explained, “It’s in the best interest of those I owe for me to be working. People aren’t getting paid back if I sit on the couch and watch tv.”

A Woman Apparently Had A ‘Screaming,’ ‘Loud And Full-Body Orgasm’ At An LA Philharmonic Performance

On Friday, April 28, the Los Angeles Philharmonic delivered a performance of Tchaikovsky’s fifth symphony at LA’s Walt Disney Concert Hall. Also at Walt Disney Concert Hall at that time, it sure sounded like a woman in the audience had what has been described as a “loud and full body orgasm.”

Molly Grant, an attendee of the performance who was seated near the person supposedly behind the moment, told The Los Angeles Times, “Everyone kind of turned to see what was happening. I saw the girl after it had happened, and I assume that she […] had an orgasm because she was heavily breathing, and her partner was smiling and looking at her — like in an effort to not shame her. It was quite beautiful.”

Composer and music producer Magnus Fiennes was also in attendance and tweeted, “Went to see @LAPhil play @Thomasades and Tchaikovsky 5 last night. A woman in the audience had loud and full body orgasm during the 5th’s second movement… Band politely carried on. Props to LAPhil (and Pytor Ilyich) for bringing it on….”

Journalist Jocelyn Silver also tweeted, “friends who went to the LA philharmonic last night are reporting that in the middle of the show some lady had a SCREAMING orgasm, to the point where the whole orchestra stopped playing. some people really know how to live…”

Audio supposedly of the moment in question made the rounds on line, and the LA Times reports that attendees say the clip sounds like what they heard during the show.

The publication noted they haven’t been able to identify the person who made the sound, and that LA Phil representatives have not responded to their request for comment.

What’s Popular On Streaming Now

Every single week, our TV and film experts will list the most important ten streaming selections for you to pop into your queues. We’re not strictly operating upon reviews or accrued streaming clicks (although yes, we’ve scoured the streaming site charts) but, instead, upon those selections that are really worth noticing amid the churning sea of content. There’s a lot out there, after all, and your time is valuable.

TIE: 10. The Diplomat (Netflix series)

Keri Russell returns to a less collectively anxious iteration of her old FX stomping grounds, but she’s still under pressure while balancing a demanding career and a challenging marriage. The Americans audience should love this series, not only for the nostalgia factor but also for the mainstream-friendly storyline that fits right in with the streaming domination of The Night Agent on Netflix. That particular furor finally took a breather, and now, it’s time for Russell to soak in the well-deserved attention.

TIE: 10. Citadel (Amazon Prime series)

Bodyguard veteran Richard Madden leads the cast also starring Priyanka Chopra and Stanley Tucci, as well as The White Lotus‘ Leo Woodall. Yep, there’s even more espionage on display to capture the streaming world’s attention until Tom Cruise lands in theaters for the next Mission: Impossible film. Citadel isn’t nearly on par with that franchise, of course, but the series revolves around the power vacuum left after a global spy agency collapses along with agents and operatives’ memories. They must get back to their usual selves despite the amnesia before a crime syndicate plugs that void.

9. Scream VI (Paramount movie streaming on Paramount+)

Ghostface finally shook up that little world known as the Big Apple after following some survivors who dreamed of finding a clean slate. Not even the dating apps are safe in New York City now. Actually, they’re not terribly safe IRL, which might be the most realistic thing about this franchise’s entire run.

8. Dave (FX series on Hulu)

Awkwardness sells these days (just ask Nathan Fielder), and Dave Burd is here to oblige (because he’s a damn Good Sport) as meta-rapper Lil Dicky, a character who is based upon Burd’s real-life experiences. With Season 3, he’s diving into his first cross-country tour, which means that awkwardness is taking America by storm. Fortunately, Burd will also endear you while taking an alternate route towards exploring American culture in the oddest of ways.

7. Love & Death (HBO Max series)

This show suffered the misfortune of being the second Candy Montgomery true-crime dramatization to arrive in as many years. Hulu’s Candy already laid out the gruesome ax-murdering that shook up a Texas community after Jessica Biel’s adulterous character took her fury out upon a supposed friend, played by Melanie Lynskey. Elizabeth Olsen and Jesse Plemons’ star power still shines here, and the way that the story arrives at its horrible crimes does take a different path, even if we already know how this story ends. David E. Kelley executive produces alongside Nicole Kidman, so you know that if they felt that this deserved another take, then it must be worth it.

6. Sweet Tooth (Netflix series)

The savory slam dunk from Team Downey returns for more post-Great Crumble madness. Has the apocalypse ever been this adorable? No way. Rather than Walkers or the Infected, this tells the story of Hybrids and how the world simply cannot handle them. Sure, there’s a virus as well, but let’s not go there. Instead, this somewhat twisted fairytale follows Christian Convery’s Gus after he’s separated from Nonso Anozie’s Jeppard, and although their partnership is sorely missed, hopefully, they’ll find each other again.

5. Barry (HBO series streaming on HBO Max)

Bill Hader’s brainchild will soon bid the world goodbye, and he’s sort-of back for one last job. Actually, things are incredibly bleak for his assassin/actor, but fortunately, this series still does a marvelous job of adding enough levity. This is largely due to Anthony Carrigan’s irresistible performance as as the perpetually-disguised Noho Hank, and of course, Henry Winkler remains a charismatic attraction as Gene. Too many beloved shows are ending this year, but there will always be potential successors on the way.

4. Mrs. Davis (Peacock series)

You might think you know what to expect from this story of a nun fighting an almighty algorithm, but you have no idea. Betty Gilpin reteams with TV king Damon Lindelof in this seriously terrific series that is like watching Watchmen‘s Lube Man series on repeat. Gilpin’s Simone embarks upon a rip-roaring quest that cannot be detailed here, but rest assured, answers begin to surface right away. Mind you, several questions surface along the way, too, and this first season will keep you guessing until a literal rollercoaster arrives. And that’s one of the least nutso things that you will see on this show (which also includes Margo Martindale as a boozy nun), so get down to it.

3. John Mulaney: Baby J (Netflix standup special)

John Mulaney has no shortage of “inspirational” material from which to draw in his life, and then there’s the challenge of being funny at the same time. Mulaney has been through rehab and a divorce and has a relatively new relationship and a baby in his life now, and that’s where he lands in this anticipated follow up to Kid Gorgeous at Radio City and The Comeback Kid.

2. Dead Ringers (Amazon Prime series)

The world might not think that it necessarily needed a series adaptation of David Cronenberg’s 1988 film starring Jeremy Irons, but people want this show, and they are watching. This time, Rachel Weisz portrays the Twins, two gynecologists who are playing God, essentially, at a fertility clinic. The show walks a fine line in sleeving its audience out while also examining the complexity of reproductive health. As well, the twins’ personal lives present different complications, and this series promises to never stop thrilling.

1. Succession (HBO series streaming on HBO Max)

Last year’s posturing apparently meant to tank the deal but launched a potentially better outcome for the Roy family in the process. Then there’s the matter of the Kill List and Matsson’s bloody habit that could very well be revisited within the series’ remaining few episodes. Meanwhile, Shiv is still pregnant, and she’ll presumably have a dinner with Tom soon, and Kendall may have emerged as the Killer that his father always claimed to want him to be. Only a few episodes remain before someone succeeds, so savor this one.

‘Succession’ Viewers Were Not Prepared For That ‘Jumpscare’ In This Week’s Episode

Spoilers for this week’s Succession will be found below.

This week’s Succession follows up on the “Kill List,” and our own Brian Grubb will soon have his weekly Report Card, which will full-on analyze the maneuverings on display. First, though, it’s worth reflecting on the episode’s opening moments, which confirms that Lukas Matsson intends to use Shiv (who he calls “my girl on the inside”) for his own purposes after the deal fully goes though. I guess, also, he believes that the blood revelation equates to Shiv being someone who “gets me,” and that might be a fair conclusion.

Shiv, for her part, is a mess while scheduling her crying time, but before all of this happened, viewers were surprised to see the late Logan Roy back on their TV screens. Mind you, he has not been resurrected as an extra on The Walking Dead. Rather, he was pushing the horribly-named “Living+” in front of a green screen. We did get to see him denigrate his inferiors one more time, which was a nice bonus, but this also happened to “jumpscare” the hell out of viewers.

Yes, this was a comical jumpscare, but nonetheless, it’s nice to see people bonding over Event TV while claiming to jump out of their seats.

Here for more of this. And at this point in the episode, the night was still young.

HBO’s ‘Succession’ airs at 9:00pm EST.

A Viral Video Of Taylor Swift Fans Getting On The Subway Is The Most Chilling Thing You’ll See Today

Aaron Dessner called Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour, “The greatest show he’s ever seen,” but that doesn’t extend to the commuter jam it leads to when the singer takes her final bow. Local municipalities, businesses, and venues go all out to welcome the eager Swifties into each city “The Alcott” singer visits. But the sea of sequins, cowboy boots, short skirts, and tour t-shirts was enough to move local residents rattled.

A viral video shared on TikTok captioned, “When the Taylor Swift concert ends at the same time you’re on your way home,” hilariously scored with ominous music, shows one person momentarily considering physically stopping the Swifties from boarding. However, once the sliding doors open, the patrons flood onto the train car bested in their best Swift-inspired outfits.

The concertgoers mean no absolutely no harm (well, unless, of course, you’re Joe Alwyn), and they are far better-behaved than drunk sports fans. But imagine looking up from your phone to see hundreds of smiling faces rushing to grab a seat and, at one point, even falling over each as they entered. Then they could burst into song at any moment that would scare any non-Swifties.

If you doubt their strength just look at the boat Ticketmaster is in.

Pharrell’s ‘Something In The Water’ Festival Forced To Cancel Final Day Due To Severe Weather Conditions

Pharrell’s budding music festival Something In The Water was forced to cancel its closing day moments ago. The multi-day event returned to the producer’s hometown of Virginia Beach, Virginia. However, the weather conditions over the weekend haven’t been the best. With high winds, rain storms, and even a tornado warning, organizers were forced to pull the plug on today’s (April 30) performances.

In a statement posted to the festival’s official Instagram page, they shared the news, writing, “We are disappointed to share that under the advisement of the city of Virginia Beach and the local authorities, we have to cancel day three of Something In The Water due to significant impacts to the festival site caused by severe weather, as well as the current and forecasted storms approaching and a tornado warning.”

The message continued, “We did not make this decision easily, but everyone’s safety is our top priority. We will be refunding 33% of the base price from admission passes. Refunds will be automatically processed beginning tomorrow and take approximately 14 days.”

Pharrel chimed under the post, writing, “Dearest Virginia, We are the best. These past few days have been the best. Even during this Tornado Watch and Lightning Storm right now, as I type, we are the best.”

The producer continued, “Thank you for giving the folks that travel here that energy and that LOVE that only we can give. Thank you to our partners, the vendors, production, policemen, firemen, the city council, the mayor, and all who volunteered. The spirit here was felt everywhere!”

“Next year, we will shift the dates because this rain ain’t playing, but we will be! Next year, more acts, more merch, more food… just more! Continued blessings and favor to you all,” closed the musician.

Reportedly, Coi Leray And Latto’s Teams Were Involved In An Altercation At The ‘Something In The Water’ Festival

Something In The Water festival was named in honor of founder Pharrell’s coastal hometown. However, fans are wondering if it was a prophecy. Over the gloomy weekend, music’s biggest names, including Skrillex, Jazmine Sullivan, Lil Uzi Vert, and more, headed to Virginia Beach, Virginia, to bring a ray of musical sunshine. Instead, it is being reported that there was a thunderous squabble between two artists on the lineup.

Despite having quashed their shortlived feud, according to social media, Coi Leray and members from Latto’s team were reportedly involved in an altercation at the festival. In a video captured on the event’s grounds, a group of individuals is engaged in what appears to be a brawl. Although the parties’ faces have not been confirmed, and neither party has issued a statement, fans claim that it is the musicians.

On the other hand, others quickly chimed in to repost a video of Latto at a local club appearance with the caption, “Latto and Coi Leray did not fight. This was Latto performing at a club last night. Stop being delusional and believing fake rumors.”

Based on the air being cleared after Latto’s second performance at Coachella, it is hard to believe this rumor has any truth.

Some artists covered here are Warner Music artists. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Stephen Curry Scored 50 Points For The First Time In His Playoff Career To Beat The Kings In Game 7

The story of the season for the Golden State Warriors was their inability to win on the road, as they compiled an unbelievably bad 11-30 record in the regular season away from the Chase Center.

Those road woes took central focus on Sunday as Golden State had to get a win in Sacramento to advance to the second round, facing a Game 7 after the Kings took care of business on the road in Game 6. In the first half, the Kings continued to look sharp offensively, as they took a 58-56 lead into halftime behind some terrific performances from Domantas Sabonis, Malik Monk, and Terence Davis. The biggest concern for the Kings was they were only leading by two despite a cold shooting night from the Warriors aside from Stephen Curry, who had 20 in the first half to keep Golden State attached, finding the bottom of the net seemingly every time the Kings opened up a two-possession lead.

In the second half, the Kings shooting went cold, the Warriors others heated up, Kevon Looney dominated the glass, and Curry continued his onslaught en route to a playoff career-high with 50 points on 20-of-38 shooting, including 7-of-18 from three-point range.

Looney was simply unstoppable on the glass, giving Domantas Sabonis more than he could handle inside as he racked up 21 rebounds, including 11 offensive, to go along with 11 points in another sensational performance.

Every time the Kings tried to create the answers they’ve been so good at coming up with all series, Curry or Klay Thompson responded to push the Warriors further in front — including a notable 4-point play from Thompson to end the fourth after a Monk and-1 had cut the Warrior lead to six.

Leading by 10 going into the fourth, Curry simply took over as the Warriors quickly pushed their advantage out to 20 where it remained for most of the quarter.

It was an all-time performance from Curry, who had never put up a 50-point night in his illustrious playoff career. He saved that performance for when the Warriors needed it most in a Game 7 on the road to lead them to a 120-100 win, having struggled away from home all season. Now, despite being the 6-seed, Golden State will get homecourt in the second round as they face a familiar foe in LeBron James and the Lakers, as Curry and James get to continue their nearly decade-long rivalry.

Airbnb host has world riveted over stolen painting that was replaced inside her own home

It should go without saying that it’s not cool to steal from your Airbnb. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t still happen.

However, when one Airbnb host recently discovered a guest had—for some strange reason—stolen one of her paintings, then replaced it with a completely different painting, she decided to make the best out of a very uncool situation by sharing the story on TikTok.

As a result, viewers got to witness an continuously unraveling, truly bizarre modern-day art heist.

Okay, let’s get into it.

“OK the weirdest thing just happened,” host Amy Corbett says at the beginning of her video.

She then shows what the living room in the listing normally looks like—with a painting of a map hanging on a wall over a couch.

But when Corbett shows up to the unit, we see that it is definitely not a painting of a map hanging on a wall over a couch. Instead, there’s a painting of an orange airplane.

“I have never seen the picture before in my life!” Corbett exclaims in the video.

@allbelongco The weirdest thing a guest has ever done. #airbnb #airbnbstory #airbnbguest #airbnbthief #crazystory #story #fyp ♬ original sound – allbelong.co

Creeped out, she looks around the apartment to see if the oil painting is anywhere to be found. Nada. Zilch.

Needless to say, commenters had their theories. Several mentioned hearing similar stories involving the same painting, leading them to believe this was all part of some long and involved paint-swapping prank. Others went the more traditional route of assuming this guest was trying to cover up some damage inflicted to avoid fees. Others still thought this person was an artist trying to do some sort of clandestine self-promotion.

In a follow-up video, Corbett debunked those theories, saying that not only could that airplane image be found “all over the web,” but the wall it was hanging on was “pristine,” not to mention the fact that the original artwork was next to impossible to accidentally damage.

@allbelongco Replying to @exploration_of_love Let’s debunk some theories while we wait to hear from Airbnb… #airbnb #airbnbguest #fyp ♬ original sound – allbelong.co

As for whether or not this person had swapped out other paintings, Corbett has reached out to one of the guest’s previous hosts, who confirmed that it had not taken place there.

Corbett kept audiences in the loop with several follow-ups, including actual security footage of the guest caught in the act.

The video shows a man (now dubbed the Airbnb Bandit) walking from his car carrying the airplane painting. Next, he’s seen in a different-colored hoodie carrying out the map painting, which is bundled up in a blanket.

@allbelongco Camera footage doesn’t lie…🤷🏻‍♀️ #airbnbstory #airbnbguest #fyp #airbnb #airbnbthief #allbelongco #story ♬ original sound – allbelong.co

As if things couldn’t get any stranger, when Corbett sent an official claim through Airbnb about the artwork, the Airbnb Bandit did pay, but only a portion of what was asked. Then when she asked when he could pay the rest of it…he asked for a 5-star review.

Wow. Just…wow.

While the actual identity of this unusual art thief remains a mystery, Corbett is being reimbursed by Airbnb. Plus, she has decidedly made her “negative story into a positive one” by hiring a local artist to create a new painting to hang above her couch, one that features a waterfall view and the Jamestown River visible just outside the listing. Plus, she’s raffling off the airplane painting to raise funds for affordable housing in her area.

This might be one of the weirder Airbnb stories out there, but at least it has a pretty happy ending.

Woman’s noble quest to deliver moving lost note written from a dad to his son is going viral

Going thrift store shopping is almost always an adventure, even when you leave with nothing. There’s something about going through donated items that have a history all their own that makes you feel connected to the larger world. Plus, you get a little giddy when you find a good deal on something you didn’t know you always needed.

But sometimes a piece of someone else’s history you find is impactful in an unsuspecting way. A woman in Arizona found herself with one such rare treasure on one of her recent trips to Goodwill. Rose Farmer was perusing the aisles of discarded treasures when she came across the book section and noticed a book that an older woman picked up had lost a slip of paper. The paper turned out to be an encouraging letter from a father to his son tucked into the pages of “The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter” by Carson McCullers.

Farmer decided to ask the woman if she could purchase the book the letter escaped from, which started the journey of locating the intended recipient of the sweet note.

When Farmer opened the note, it read, “Believe Trent—Believe,” with the second occurrence of “believe” underlined twice for emphasis, it appears. “You are loved and respected! So let’s get going, the ride may be bumpy but we will get there. When you believe in yourself as much as I do you will be there,” the handwritten note reads. It is simply signed, “Dad.”

Clearly, whoever “Dad” is, he’s extremely encouraging and hoping his son is able to see his own potential. There’s no other information that indicates what Trent was going through that prompted the note, and there was no addressed envelope to know where the letter was supposed to end up. But the note written in bubbly cursive inspired Farmer to find the person who wrote it or the one it’s supposed to go to, even though there isn’t anything identifiable on the letter.

Arizona woman; letter in book; Goodwill letter; The Heart is a Lonely Hunter; wholesome

In the age of social media, anything is possible, and Farmer knows that, which is why she took to the private Facebook group “Go Gilbert” to see if people knew who these people could be. So far, no one has claimed the note, but it seems to already be touching people’s lives.

“It just received so many likes and comments from people,” Farmer told Fox News Digital. “Someone said, ‘I’m not Trent, but this note spoke to me.’ Someone else said, ‘My son’s name is Trent and it’s as if this note was written just for him.’ Everybody just seemed really touched by it.”

Farmer told 12News that one comment in the group read, “I feel like maybe all of us were moved by the note are indeed a Trent, thanks for sharing the love note.”

The note was written on stationery from Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa in California, but outside of that small clue, the determined woman has no other clues to rely on. Here’s hoping the power of social media does its thing and brings the writer of the letter or the intended recipient forward. It would wrap things up with a cute little bow if the now-invested internet users know that Trent finally received his letter.

So many people could use the encouragement handwritten on that piece of paper, and now that it’s public, hopefully the people that need to see it most will find it.
