Kid Cudi Will Star In ‘Hell Naw,’ A New Movie From ‘Euphoria’ Creator Sam Levinson And The Lucas Brothers

Kid Cudi is about as accomplished as they come in terms of rapper/actors. In addition to an active and beloved music career, he regularly pops up in high-profile shows and movies, like Westworld, Don’t Look Up, and his own Entergalactic. Now, he’s getting back in the saddle with a new movie project.

Deadline reports that Cudi is set to star in (and co-produce) Hell Naw, Sony Pictures’ “action horror-comedy” produced by Euphoria creator Sam Levinson. Keith and Kenny Lucas, aka The Lucas Brothers, are writing the script. Of the movie, Deadline notes, “The plot is being kept under wraps, but we do know the film is set during Paris Fashion Week and there will be zombies.”

Cudi says of the project, “This movie has been five years in the making. I am telling the world now, this film will f*ck you up in all the best ways. I have been a horror fan since I was 7 years old, the first horror movies I ever saw were Night Of The Living Dead and Evil Dead. And from that point on, I was hooked on the feeling of being frightened. I’ve been wanting to get into this world creating my own stories for a long time, and now, and after years of working it out in my head, it’s finally happening. Sam, The Lucas Brothers, and myself have really crafted a tale we feel everyone who’s a fan of horror and comedy will enjoy. You will laugh, oh yes you will, but the horror aspect of this movie will really be something to see. You will be shook. I promise. Y’all know I don’t play around.”

LeBron James Drove Right Through Dillon Brooks For The And-1 Dagger In Overtime Of Game 4

The Lakers and Grizzlies have provided plenty of drama in their first round series, both on and off the court, and that continued in Game 4 with an absolutely thrilling closing stretch that made up for some sloppiness across the first 47 minutes of action.

Neither team had their best on offense on the night, but both squads stars showed up when they needed them to in the closing minute. First, it was the Grizzlies who saw Jaren Jackson Jr. prove why he was this year’s DPOY, blocking Rui Hachimura at the rim to spark a runout for Ja Morant, who slipped a behind the back pass to Desmond Bane for the go ahead bucket with just under seven seconds to play.

Then it was LeBron James, who had been fairly quiet offensively, finding his extra gear to drive by Xavier Tillman for the game-tying layup with 0.8 seconds remaining in regulation.

On the Grizzlies’ final play, Anthony Davis blocked Morant, making up for an otherwise dismal night for the Lakers’ star big man — with LeBron hitting a heave from beyond halfcourt after the buzzer to add to the buzz in the arena.

In overtime, the Lakers took an early lead but could never pull all the way away from the Grizzlies until the final minute of the extra period, when somewhat poetically LeBron drew Dillon Brooks and proceeded to drive straight through him for an and-1 dagger with just under 30 seconds to play.

Given the talk of the weekend was Brooks’ commentary on James being old after Memphis’ Game 2 win and then getting ejected for hitting James below the belt in Game 3, James certainly seemed to enjoy that in the biggest moment of the series thus far he was able to sink the dagger in by muscling through Brooks — who spent most of the game on a different defensive assignment in Game 4. James has not been willing to engage the Brooks thing off the court when asked about it, brushing it off as just noise, but he has unquestionably taken his chances to twist the knife on Brooks and Monday night brought the best possible chance to do so and he did not miss it. LeBron finished the night with an outrageous 22 points, 20 rebounds, and seven assists, saving much of his scoring damage for late. It was the first 20-20 game for the Lakers since Shaq, and James’ first 20-rebound playoff performance of his illustrious career.

Now, Memphis has to win three straight against the Lakers to get out of the first round, while L.A. maintains homecourt and ensures they’ll at least have one chance to close out the Grizzlies in L.A. if they can’t swipe another one on the road.

James Corden Reminisced About When ‘No One Would Do’ ‘Carpool Karaoke’ In The Early Days Of ‘The Late Late Show’

Music superstars like Bad Bunny, Harry Styles, and Nicki Minaj, to name a few, all have had memorable appearances on The Late Late Show’s hilarious segment “Carpool Karaoke.” However, during the latest episode featuring Adele, host James Corden admitted that there was a time when no one would do the show, so he and the team scrambled to book talent.

This wasn’t the case for Adele, as the two are dear friends. The “Hello” singer was an early supporter of the show in 2016. When asked by the singer what he was the most afraid of when he decided to take the job, Corden confessed, “The thing I was most worried about was, ‘How do we get guests on the show.’”

“[In the beginning] we couldn’t book anyone. Then [segments] like ‘Carpool’ — I mean, no one would do it. Everyone on planet Earth said no. But then suddenly, Mariah Carey said, ‘Yes.’ So we’re buzzing, and she goes, ‘We’ll do it on Saturday.’” When the day finally arrived, Corden revealed that the “Shake It Off” singer told him that she would, ‘Do the chat, but I ain’t singing,’” because she had a long night the day before.

“My [producer] tells me, ‘Dude, you just have to get her to sing,’” said Corden. Eventually, Corden charmed the highly decorated songwriter to belt out some of her timeless tunes.

As for which episodes meant the most to him, Corden answered, “Stevie Wonder changed the [segment] a lot because when he did it, other artists were like, ‘Well, if Stevie Wonder’s done it, then I’ll do it.’” That episode was special to the host for another reason. During the ride, Wonder telephoned Corden’s wife Julia, nicknamed Jules, to sing to her.

The television host was sure to add that his first episode with the “Rolling In The Deep” singer also significantly impacted the show. “Our [first episode] because it broke all those records, I think seeing how many people watched that made artists like Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, and people like that go, ‘Absolutely, I’ll do this.”

Kesha’s Glam Rock Cover Of Rihanna’s ‘Umbrella’ On ‘That’s My Jam’ Was Undeniably A Bop

When pop music’s bad girl and bad gyal collide, fans are in for an epic mashup. Kesha is always up for a seemingly random music connection (see her performance at the Taylor Hawkins tribute). However, her appearance on NBC’s variety game show That’s My Jam, hosted by Jimmy Fallon, was contractually and divinely predestined.

While joining to participate in the segment “Musical Genre Challenge,” the “Chasing Rainbows” singer put her professional knowledge on full display. When asked to perform a glam rock cover of Rihanna’s smash song “Umbrella,” there was no telling how undeniably of a bop she would transform the track into. In all fairness, the Grammy Award-winning song, originally released in 2007, was already loved by millions, but Kesha’s sonic twist reignited viewers’ love for the track.

Although the single does have rock influences, the overwhelming pop and hip-hop presence takes centerstage. “Umbrella” was produced by Tricky Stewart and Kuk Harrell, who are also listed as songwriters on the track along with music titan The Dream.

Kesha has made a killing in pop and dance music, but should she wish to make the transition to glam rock full-time, there’s no doubt she’ll knock it out of the park.

Adele’s ‘I Drink Wine’ Was Inspired By James Corden, The Singer Tearfully Shared During Their Final ‘Carpool Karaoke’ Segment

Adele and James Corden’s friendship has been a joy to watch. The pair have several things in common: They both hail from the United Kingdom and then moved to Los Angeles because of their thriving careers. During their final “Carpool Karaoke” segment together, the friends were filled with emotion as they recounted their platonic history.

The Grammy Award winner was moved to tears as she chronicled how Corden inspired her song “I Drink Wine” from her 2021 album 30. As the duo listened to the track during their drive together, Adele shared that the track came into being following a conversation they had after she officially split from her ex-husband Simon Konecki.

“It was the first year that I felt like I had to hold myself accountable for just being an adult, whereas the year before that, I left Simon and stuff like that,” said Adele. “But you and Jules and the kids were so integral in looking after me.”

She continued: It got me thinking; I felt so unsafe with you feeling unsafe because you’ve always been, since I was 21, you’ve always been like that. And then I went to the studio a couple of weeks later, and I wrote this. I remember I sang it into my phone and I sent it to you. And I do remember you saying, ‘That’s exactly how I was feeling.’”

Corden commended Adele for her vulnerability, saying, “It was everything that I was feeling that day. I was floored by how you’d managed to take everything that I was feeling about myself and life and just put it in a verse, and it’s the greatest privilege that something from a conversation so honest between two friends that you created such a thing.”

Jimmy Butler Exploded For 56 Points To Give The Heat A 3-1 Lead Over The Bucks

Jimmy Butler is a proven playoff star. In addition to leading the Miami Heat to the 2020 NBA Finals, Butler shined with 47 points in an all-time performance against the Boston Celtics during the 2022 Eastern Conference Finals, and he epitomizes the description of a “16-game player” that rises to the occasion on the biggest stage. However, Butler saved his absolute best for Monday evening, setting a Heat franchise playoff record with 56 points and almost singlehandedly willing Miami to a 119-114 victory that gives the team a 3-1 lead in a best-of-seven series against the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks.

From the opening tip-off, Butler was locked in and it was evident. Though Miami was trailing at the end of the first quarter, Butler scored a franchise record 22 points on 9-of-10 shooting and kept the Heat in touch with his offensive brilliance.

Butler was much closer to human in the second and third quarters, scoring 13 in the middle quarters, but he had plenty of energy down the stretch. With the help of Caleb Martin and a trio of Milwaukee turnovers, Butler engineered a 13-0 run for the Heat to erase a double-digit fourth quarter deficit with just just over three minutes remaining.

At one point in the fourth quarter, Butler and Martin combined to score 23 straight points for the Heat, and Butler out-scored the Bucks by himself over the final eight minutes. That included a pair of enormous jumpers in the final 90 seconds, with one giving Miami the lead and another extending the margin of an advantage the Heat would never relinquish.

On the whole, Butler scored 21 points in only 8:11 of fourth quarter action, shooting 6-of-8 from the floor and 8-of-9 from the free throw line. That gave him a pair of 20-point quarters in the same game and, when the final buzzer sounded, Butler had 56 points on 19-of-28 shooting to go along with nine rebounds and top-notch defense.

With the win, the Heat take a commanding advantage in the series, though it is noteworthy that the Bucks have two of the final three games at home. Giannis Antetokounmpo’s presence and the background of a contender-worthy opponent ensures that Miami’s work isn’t done as a result, but Butler’s showing in Game 5 was flatly unbelievable. As a result, the Heat are a position that seemed largely unimaginable after a play-in loss to the Hawks and a narrow win over the Bulls to even reach the postseason.

Tucker Carlson’s Penchant For Calling Women ‘C**ts’ Was Reportedly A ‘Key Factor’ In His Fox News Demise

Tucker Carlson is gone at Fox News, and who’s to say why. Apparently not even the network’s former biggest star knows the reason he got canned. But there have been some reports on possible reasons that, put together, may explain why Fox News was willing to kick its ratings juggernaut to the curb.

A new report from The Daily Beast offers some possible explanations. There was his routinely conspiracy-laden coverage of the Jan. 6 riots, which allegedly enraged Fox brass. There’s the lawsuits from former producer Abby Grossberg, who painted an unflattering portrait of a sexist boy’s club atmosphere. There’s comments he made about Fox management that were made public during their pricey Dominion lawsuit.

Then there’s this:

But most egregious, and what loomed large in his termination, people familiar with the matter told Confider, was how during his deposition with Dominion lawyers, when he was asked if “this wasn’t the only time you referred to Sidney Powell as a cunt,” the Fox News star responded: “You know I-I-I can’t know and I just want to apologize preemptively. I mean you’re trying to embarrass me, you’re definitely succeeding as I am embarrassed.”

Carlson being nailed in court documents for his repeated use of the overtly misogynist c-word was a key factor in his demise, as Fox News had rid itself of Roger Ailes and Bill O’Reilly after years of sexual-harassment complaints and could not have its biggest star undermining any supposed progress.

Al Capone was taken down for not paying his taxes, and if this is true, then Tucker Carlson — the guy who laughed at an epic, should-have-been-devastating The New York Times takedown — got busted for being a sexist pig. He’ll surely be getting a golden parachute, and then he has all the time in the world to hang out with other fellow Fox News firees like Glenn Beck and Bill O’Reilly, who will show him what his future really looks like.

A Houston Animal Shelter Honored Taylor Swift’s ‘The Eras’ Tour In A Special Way

Taylor Swift’s record-breaking The Eras Tour is going strong. Many cities have gone above and beyond to welcome the “Anti-Hero” singer. Several municipalities renamed their towns in her honor, including Glendale, Arizona, and Arlington, Texas. Over the weekend, as Swift plated roots in Houston, Texas, NRG Stadium took it a notch up to rename the venue in her honor. But they weren’t the only business in the city doing something special for her.

The Houston Humane Society announced they would reduce cat adoption fees to $13 (Swift’s lucky number). The organization even recreated her album covers for the campaign’s official flyer. The captions are riddled with Swift’s notable song titles, like “Adopt your new LOVER this weekend, and know ALL TOO WELL how much joy & happiness they’ll bring to your life! HHS is BEJEWELED to announce our Lucky $13 Cat Adoption event to HONOR ‘The Eras Tour’ Houston dates this weekend! April 17th-April 23rd, cats that have been in our shelter for 30+ days will be available for adoption with a $13 adoption fee!”

The singer is a proud pet parent to her cat, Olivia Benson and a cat enthusiast overall. As for the significance behind the number 13, in an interview, Swift said, “I was born on the 13th. I turned 13 on Friday the 13th. My first album went gold in 13 weeks. My first #1 song had a 13-second intro,” she said. “Every time I’ve won an award, I’ve been seated in either the 13th seat, the 13th row, the 13th section, or row M, which is the 13th letter.”

Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour will run until early August. For more information, click here.

Fox News Devoted Like 6 Seconds To Paying Tribute To Tucker Carlson At The Time His Show Usually Starts And Then Immediately Moved On

On Monday the unthinkable happened: Fox News kicked its biggest star to the curb. For the third time in his life, Tucker Carlson lost a gig at a high-profile 24-hours news network, having already burned bridges at CNN and MSNBC. Carlson was a ratings powerhouse, and at 8pm every weeknight he poisoned the brains of millions with all manner of nonsense. When his old time slot came up, how would they handle the news? Turns out very, very, very briefly.

Brian Kilmeade sat in for Carlson during what was once Tucker Carlson Tonight, now rechristened simply Fox News Tonight. The show will have revolving hosts until they find a replacement, and the Fox & Friends co-host addressed the elephant in the room right off the bat. He also did it as fast as he could.

“As you probably have heard, Fox News and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways,” Kilmeade told Carlson’s usual viewers (provided they didn’t skip out in protest). “I wish Tucker the best. I am great friends with Tucker and always will be.” He then quickly moved on. “But right now it’s time for Fox News Tonight, so let’s get started.”

When they first revealed Carlson’s departure, Fox News used careful wording to make it sound like it was amicable — even though it was effective immediately, with his last show, on last Friday, ending with him telling viewers he’d see them on Monday. He didn’t.

Indeed, subsequent reports have alleged that Carlson had no idea what was in store, that he was even working on a new five-year contract, and also that he was straight-up fired. He reportedly doesn’t (or didn’t) even know why, though it could be a number of factors, including the pricey Dominion lawsuit and the two lawsuits from former producer Abby Grossberg, who had some deeply unflattering things to say about her time working with the network’s former biggest star.

So RIP Tucker Carlson’s Fox News stint. And it even ended without him being humiliated on live TV by Jon Stewart.
