Airbnb host wakes his guest up in the middle of the night so she wouldn’t miss the northern lights

Seeing the northern lights is a common bucket list adventure for many people. After all, it ticks a lot of boxes—being a dazzling light show, rich historical experience and scientific phenomenon all rolled into one. Plus there’s the uncertainty of it all, never quite knowing if you’ll witness a vivid streak of otherworldly colors dance across the sky…or simply see an oddly colored cloud. It’s nature’s slot machine, if you will.

Traveler and content creator Pency Lucero was willing to take that gamble. After thorough research, she stumbled upon an Airbnb in Rörbäck, Sweden with an actual picture of the northern lights shining above the cabin in the listing. With that kind of photo evidence, she felt good about her odds.

However, as soon as she landed, snow began falling so hard that the entire sky was “barely visible,” she told Upworthy. Martin, the Airbnb host, was nonetheless determined to do everything he could to ensure his guests got to see the spectacle, even offering to wake Lucero up in the middle of the night if he saw anything.

Then one night, the knock came.

In a video Lucero posted to TikTok, which now has over 12 million views, we hear Martin ushering her out to take a peek. Then we see Lucero’s face light up just before seeing the sky do the same.

“I thought it was a prank,” the onscreen text reads in the clip. “And then I see it….”

“I was mostly in awe of what this Earth is capable of,” Lucero recalled. “I never expected it to be THAT beautiful for the naked eye.” This is a hopeful sentiment against the widely accepted notion that the northern lights are often better looking in photos than they are in real life.

As Lucero asserted in a follow-up video, “Our video doesn’t do it justice at all…I would argue it’s even better for the naked eye.”

Others were quick to back Lucero with anecdotes of their own experience.

“It’s definitely possible to see it like in the pics. I saw it this winter in Norway, there was bright green, purple and so much movement.”

“They’re so much better in person, the way they dance and move around is insane and beautiful.”

Of course, if you ask Martin, who everyone agreed was the best host ever, seeing guest reactions of pure wonder and joy is even “better than the lights themselves.” But still, he can’t deny that there’s a breathtaking magic to it all. He shared with Upworthy that “Sometimes it feels like it will pull you up in the sky like you are in the middle of it. I wish everyone would have the chance to witness it.”

northern lights

When it comes to tips for actually seeing the northern lights, Martin admits it still mostly comes down to being in the right place at the right time. Luckily, his Airbnb listing can help with that.

Nature has a great way of reminding us that beyond the distractions and distresses of modern life, there is sublime beauty waiting for the chance to capture our hearts.

Anthony ‘Top Dawg’ Tiffith Teases That A Black Hippy ‘Album Or EP’ Could Be In The Works Soon

Top Dawg Entertainment has come a long way since 2012 when the above photo was taken at SXSW. Kendrick Lamar has since won a few Grammys and a Pulitzer Prize, Schoolboy Q has taken up golf, Ab-Soul has survived depression and anxiety, and Jay Rock… is still Jay Rock, I guess. He keeps to himself a lot.

But collectively, there’s one thing we never really got from Black Hippy: A full group project. That may change soon, despite their vocal reticence throughout the years, if the man who started their label has his way. Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith teased a potential project from them during a Twitter Q&A session with fans.

When one fan asked whether the group would ever do a remix of “Vice City,” Top’s favorite Black Hippy track per a previous answer, the label head went one step further. “I think they will…” he replied. “They owe y’all an album or EP.”

Now, whether such a thing will come to fruition remains to be seen. As mentioned above, it seems very much like at least two (maybe three) members of the collective are halfway retired as it is, Kendrick is busy with PgLang and his cousin Baby Keem’s career, and three-quarters of the group have kids — which can really change the calculus for album release strategies. Hopefully, they can carve out some time to get into the studio together, though, because as a group, their chemistry was always unmatched and extremely enjoyable.

A Running List Of 50 Cent’s Growing Cinematic Universe With Past, Current, And Future TV Shows

50 Cent’s transition from rap superstar to a very successful executive producer of some of today’s most popular television shows is one that’s unmatched by many. His venture into the film industry began back in 2003 when he launched the film company G-Unit Films. In 2008, he launched Cheetah Vision which produces low-budget action thrillers for film markets across the world. G-Unit Films folded momentarily, but in 2010, 50 Cent revived it G-Unit Films and Television Inc. Under it, 50 Cent has teamed with STARZ and other TV companies to release great television shows that have grown to be favorites in households all over America.

Since the 2010 re-launch of G-Unit Films and Television Inc., keeping up with the various shows that 50 Cent has produced can be quite a task, especially if you’re new to it all. The following list will include all the shows that he’s executive produced starting with his trademark series Power, which as many of us now know, has expanded into its own universe. There are also other shows on this list that didn’t have the long life that Power did, and we’ll give some insights into some future releases that 50 Cent & Co. have on the way. This list will also be updated as new information comes out. So without further ado, here is what has existed, currently does, or will exist in 50 Cent’s cinematic universe.

The first TV show that 50 Cent helped to produce under the G-Unit Films and Television Inc. umbrella was a remake of the 2011 British documentary. 50 Cent watched chef Jamie Oliver’s Jamie’s Dream School, a seven-part series that took a group of struggling teenagers into his “dream school” where lessons would be taught by celebrities that were specialists in certain subjects. 50 Cent saw this documentary and knew he wanted to help bring the American version of the series to life, and that he did. “It’s an opportunity to utilize your celebrity and influence in a positive way,” he said in a 2013 interview with The Grio. “Jamie Oliver’s people reached out to me, and the show was previously a success. I knew it would be a success here also. “ Dream School launched in 2013 and went on to have two seasons and a total of ten episodes that featured civil rights activist Jesse Jackson, rapper Chuck D, rapper, producer, and DJ Swizz Beatz, chef David Cheng, astronaut Mae Jemison, and more as celebrity teachers.

The show launched its first season in the summer of 2014 and went on to have six successful seasons before coming to an end in the winter of 2020. Power followed the story of James St. Patrick, played by Omari Hardwick, who was a smart and quick-on-his-feet drug dealer who went by the street name “Ghost.” The series follows his desire to exit the drug game and maintain and law-abiding life as a businessman who is the owner of a nightclub, Truth. Throughout the show’s six seasons, we watch St. Patrick’s attempts to balance his street life and business life with the hope of exiting out of the former. However, the pressures of street and business enemies, a crumbling marriage, grief, and more make that exit harder than expected. In the end, it leads to a tragic conclusion that sparks the beginning of three spin-offs of the original Power series.

As explained in an official synopsis, The Oath explores “a world of gangs made up of those sworn to protect and defend and sheds light on corrupt and secret societies that are nearly impossible to join.” It’s a crime drama series that’s on-brand to most shows that 50 Cent has helped produce under G-Unit Films and Television Inc.

Genre: Drama

For Life is probably one of the more underrated entries in 50 Cent’s cinematic universe. Released in 2020, the ABC drama series went on for two seasons and 23 episodes with Hank Steinberg as the creator. For Life was inspired by the true story of Isaac Wright Jr. who was wrongfully imprisoned for a crime he did not commit. Wright Jr. is portrayed by Nicholas Pinnock who plays a man named Aaron Wallace. Just like Wright Jr., Wallace became an attorney during his time in prison and helped to overturn the wrongful convictions of several inmates before doing the same for himself. After his release from prison, Wallace would continue to help inmates have their convictions overturned. “I look at producing like finding the most significant stories, and then you come to a point where the facts are better than fiction,” 50 Cent said in a 2020 interview with Billboard. “For this, it wasn’t just the saying ‘one in a million.’ He really is just the only one.”

After the original Power series concluded in 2020, 50 Cent, the Power team, and STARZ announced four spin-offs of the original series. While one of them was eventually canceled, the remaining three have successfully continued the Power story and universe. Power Book II: Ghost was the first spin-off released and this series is based on the life of James “Ghost” St. Patrick’s son, Tariq, and the events that followed after the death of Ghost (sorry for the spoiler). In Power Book II: Ghost, Tariq is trying to navigate his new life as a college student while also trying to create a new legacy for himself and grow up to be much different than his father. Unfortunately, pressures to support his family in unimaginable ways result in Tariq being more similar to his father than he would’ve liked. Nonetheless, he tells himself that his decisions and actions are done to bring him one step closer to a life out of the streets.

Genre: Drama, Crime
Rating: TV-MA
Runtime: 2 seasons, 20 episodes

Power Book III: Raising Kanan is the second spin-off in the Power series. Unlike the other two, this one goes back in time to tell the story of Kanan, the mentor-turned-rival of James “Ghost” St. Patrick. Kanan introduced Ghost into the drug game, but as it was revealed in the original Power series, Ghost’s relationship with Kanan soured when he and his wife Tasha set him up to be put in prison on a ten-year sentence. Power Book III: Raising Kanan hasn’t re-enacted the first interaction between Ghost and Kanan, but in the series’ first two seasons, we see how Kanan (played by Mekai Curtis) was introduced into the drug game. We see that Kanan’s experience in the streets is rooted in a family organization that was in place before him, as we see in Power Book II: Ghost. Though Power Book III: Raising Kanan has been billed as a fictional story, 50 Cent has said that he drew on his childhood experiences in Queens to shape some of the show’s stories.

Genre: Drama, Crime

Runtime: 2 seasons, 18 episodes

Though BMF is not a part of the Power Universe, it does make use of the same qualities that make a 50 Cent-produced crime drama so enjoyable. The show is loosely based on the Black Mafia Family, the Detroit drug organization that was founded in 1985 and grew to be a nationally successful empire by the 2000s. Founded and led by Demetrius “Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory, BMF was a well-oiled drug empire that had hubs in Atlanta and Los Angeles before they were taken down in 2005 with the Flenory brothers’ arrest. Demetrius “Meech” Flenory Jr. plays his father while Da’Vinchi takes on the role of Southwest T. In addition to showing the brothers’ start in the drug game, BMF also shows how values like family, loyalty, and played into the BMF’s rise and how other factors came in to foreshadow their eventual fall.

In the season’s first 8 episodes, the deaths of Pop Smoke, Chinx, XXXTentacion, King Von, and more were all examined with commentary from Lathan and others that aims to uncover how these murders occurred and hopefully provide new details that could solve their cases. The series’ first season concluded at the beginning of 2023, and while there’s no word yet on a second season, the hope is that the show returns to accurately cover more of the recent deaths that occurred in hip-hop.

For the early parts of 2023, 50 Cent teased a project that many believed was tied to the next release in the GTA series. He later revealed that the project was actually a new series called Vice City, which is also the rumored location of the next GTA installment. Vice City will be released through Paramount+ and be executive produced by Darnell Metayer (Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts) and Josh Peters (Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts) with Chad Stahelski (John Wick franchise) serving as executive producer/director. According to Deadline, Vice City “follows three friends, and former soldiers, who return to their home city of Miami in the mid-80s after being dishonorably discharged from the military for their involvement in the Iran Contra scandal.” The article adds, “Disgraced, displaced, and forgotten by the country they served and with no good job prospects, the three friends partner with a mysterious Colombian immigrant, uniting their financial needs and criminal ambitions to form a heist crew.”

FOX Deal

In February 2023, 50 Cent signed a non-exclusive, broadcast direct deal with FOX. With the deal, 50 Cent and G-Unit Films and Television Inc. will develop both live-action and animated scripted series for the network. The deal is non-exclusive which allows him to produce other shows wherever he wants, like the aforementioned Vice City series. FOX will own any series greenlit through this deal and its in-house Fox Entertainment Studios will produce the releases alongside G-Unit Films and Television Inc.

“I am excited to formalize a partnership with Michael Thorn and Fox that will allow G-Unit Film & Television to focus on putting multiple series on Fox, a perfect broadcast destination for G-Unit Film & Television content while our premium, streaming, scripted, and non-scripted slates continue to grow in all directions,” 50 Cent said about the new deal.

This list will be updated with news about 50 Cent’s current and future productions.

Here Are All The Celebrity Appearances From Taylor Swift’s ‘The Eras Tour’

Taylor Swift‘s Eras tour is proving to be one of the most exciting tours of the year. Fans have shown up by the tens of thousands each night, as Swift delivers epic performances of songs from each of her 10 albums.

Not only are the Swifties showing up in huge numbers, but also, some of Swift’s peers.

Some vigilant fans have been able to capture photos of some of the big names who have been in attendance at some of the Eras tour stops.

Three famous Emmas were spotted at Swift’s concert this past weekend — Emma Watson, Emma Roberts, and Emma Stone.

Laura Dern, who appears in Swift’s video for “Bejeweled,” also made an appearance at one of Swift’s shows, along with her “No Body, No Crime” collaborators, Haim.

Model, actress, and longtime Taylor Swift bestie Cara Delevigne also attended one of the Eras tour stops, and was even generous enough to live stream the show.

Actress Chloe Grace Moretz was also seen having the time of her life.

Australian actress Samara Weaving, of Babylon and Scream VI fame attended the concert on opening night, and shared a photo to her Instagram story.

Former Arizona Cardinals defensive end JJ Watt attended one of the first nights of the Eras, and noted that he was impressed by her endurance, as she performed and danced nonstop for three hours.

Grey’s Anatomy actress Ellen Pompeo was spotted at one of the shows, which is fitting, as one of Swift’s cats is named after Pompeo’s Grey’s Anatomy character, Meredith Grey.

Even professional wrestlers Liv Morgan and Sonya Deville showed they have a soft spot for Swift at her Vegas show.

As entertainers across the board have shown their love for Swift, it’s evident that she knows how to put on a hell of a show.

All The Best New Music From This Week That You Need To Hear

Keeping up with new music can be exhausting, even impossible. From the weekly album releases to standalone singles dropping on a daily basis, the amount of music is so vast it’s easy for something to slip through the cracks. Even following along with the Uproxx recommendations on a daily basis can be a lot to ask, so every Monday we’re offering up this rundown of the best new music this week.

This week saw Lana Del Rey own the week and Ed Sheeran open up in a big way. Yeah, it was a great week for new music. Check out the highlights below.

For more music recommendations, check out our Listen To This section, as well as our Indie Mixtape and Pop Flash newsletters.

Lana Del Rey — “Candy Necklace” Feat. Jon Batiste

Lana Del Rey had the biggest release of last week (both in terms of anticipation and title length), Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd. She got a handful of people to help her out on the project, including now-former The Late Show bandleader Jon Batiste, who joined in on the slow-burning “Candy Necklace.”

Ed Sheeran — “Eyes Closed”

Sheeran has made it clear that his upcoming album, (aka Subtract), comes from a place of emotional rawness. That’s evidenced by new single “Eyes Closed,” on which a vulnerable Sheeran sings, “I pictured this year a little bit different / When it hit February / I step in the bar, it hit me so hard, how can it be this heavy? / Every song reminds you’re gone / And I feel the lump form in my throat.”

6lack — “Temporary” Feat. Don Toliver

Nearly five years ago now, 6lack dropped East Atlanta Love Letter and fans have been eagerly awaiting a new album ever since. He finally delivered last week with Since I Have A Lover, highlights of which include the lush and rhythmic Don Toliver collaboration “Temporary.”

Chlöe — “Body Do”

Chlöe has a lot going on right now between her role in Swarm (featuring that scene) and her upcoming debut solo album In Pieces. Swarm is already released so now the focus is squarely on In Pieces. On that front, last week, Chlöe unveiled “Body Do,” an upbeat, club-ready number that shows some contrast between her previously released singles.

Lola Brooke — “Don’t Play With It (Remix)” Feat. Latto and Yung Miami

Brooke has a viral hit on her hands right now with “Don’t Play With It,” and she just got Latto and Yung Miami to hop of a fresh remix of the track. Uproxx’s Aaron Williams notes of the accompanying visual, “The quick-and-dirty video finds the three rappers linking up under a freeway overpass with a massive squad to shoot a gritty visual matching the throwback bad-gyal vibes of the boastful, aggressive song itself.”

Internet Money — “I Remember” Feat. Roddy Ricch and Kodak Black

Roddy’s Love Is Barely Real Anymore is set to drop in the near future, and while fans wait for that, Roddy held them over last week by hopping on Internet Money’s “I Remember.” Kodak Black is on the song, too, and the track sees both rappers reflecting on where they come from and what they’ve achieved since humble beginnings.

Sabrina Carpenter and Coi Leray — “Nonsense (Remix)”

Sabrina Carpenter has a Charlie Puth meet-up set for April, but we don’t have to wait that long for a new Carpenter collaboration. Last week, she recruited Coi Leray to join her on a new remix of “Nonsense,” on which Leray adds value via a confident verse to complement the earworm hook.

Rina Sawayama — “Eye For An Eye”

Sawayama is on her way to becoming a multimedia superstar. She recently made her debut late-night interview appearance thanks to her role in John Wick 4, and days later, she dropped a new song from the soundtrack. “Eye For An Eye” is a real in-your-face cut, featuring an aggressive industrial-inspired instrumental that sets the table for Sawayama’s bold and confident lyrics.

IDK — “850 (We On Top)” Feat. Rich The Kid

You can find IDK at Coachella next month, but as for right now, he’s fresh off dropping “850 (We On Top)” alongside Rich The Kid. It’s a dynamic track, featuring a beat-switch and varying vocal rhythms that keep listeners on their toes.

Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro — “Beso”

Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro, the current first couple of Latin music, dropped their collaborative EP RR last week, but the music is far from the most important thing about the release: They dropped a “Beso” video last week and used the visual to confirm that they’re now engaged. Congrats!

Some artists covered here are Warner Music artists. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Alex Jones Is Already Cooking Up Conspiracy Theories For The Unlikely Scenario That Trump Could Win Again

After briefly flirting with reason by saying Donald Trump made a huge mistake in urging people to protest his arrest, should it ever happen, Alex Jones has reverted back to his old ways with a new conspiracy theory on what could happen to Trump in the days ahead. Granted, conspiracy theories are exactly what landed Jones in hot water with the Sandy Hook families, who successfully sued the InfoWars host over his repeated claims that the school were a false flag operation, but why let a billion dollars in damages give you pause? That’s the Alex Jones way.

During a recent episode of InfoWars, Jones began inching his way back to Trump after being “pissed” at the former president for a while. However, Jones can’t help but recognize that Trump does a lot of “good stuff” that angers the “Deep State.”

“Do we just sit here and let them install somebody else or falsely put Trump in prison?” Jones said. “He’s really fighting the deep state and they see him as a threat to their power. They see him as a rival.”

And cue the conspiracy mongering. Via Raw Story:

“If it looks like he’s about to win again, I think they’re gonna shoot him,” continued Jones. “I think they’re gonna blow his airplane up. And he even said that last week. He said, ‘well, I’m gonna go ahead and just walk right in front of everybody in Manhattan in handcuffs. If I get killed, so what? I’ll be a martyr.’ So, he is in that fully committed mode. I want the globalist off our backs, and if Trump’ll do it, great. But gut, gut level, I know that if he’s able to get in, which I think they’ll kill him, I actually think he won’t be able to get in. I’ll be honest with you right now.”

Jones’ sudden dive back into Trump worship is notable. For a while, he was backing Ron DeSantis, who has been a seen as a formidable challenger to Trump in the Republican primary. (Fellow conspiracy theorist Joe Rogan is also backing DeSantis.) As for what won Jones over? Trump’s latest rally in Waco. Seeing the former president denounce the Deep State where the FBI raided David Koresh’s cult reportedly gave Jones “chills.”

Does Tyler The Creator Have A Child?

Has Tyler The Creator been hiding a child (© Pusha T)? Fans have good reason to wonder after the Hawthorne, California-raised rapper might have just coolly revealed that information in his new, previously unreleased song “Dogtooth.”

In the song’s chorus, he brags and warns listeners at the same time, “I’m tryna buy my neighbor house and turn it to a yard / If you don’t know my grandma name, then we ain’t really dogs.” However, on the final repetition of the chorus, he switches up that last line: “If you don’t know my daughter name, then we ain’t really dogs.”

However, it looks like that was just a bit of creative license on Tyler’s part. Shortly after the release of “Dogtooth,” the mischievous rabble-rouser denied having children on Twitter: “i dont have kids and dont plan on it hahaha,” he wrote. Of course… he could be trolling there, if he isn’t in the song. With Tyler The Creator, you never know.

All the same, it does look like Tyler’s expecting; “Dogtooth” is just the first song from the impending release of Call Me If You Get Lost: The Estate Sale. As T explained on Twitter, “CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST WAS THE FIRST ALBUM I MADE WITH ALOT OF SONGS THAT DIDNT MAKE THE FINAL CUT. SOME OF THOSE SONGS I REALLY LOVE, AND KNEW THEY WOULD NEVER SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY, SO IVE DECIDED TO PUT A FEW OF THEM OUT.”

Call Me If You Get Lost: The Estate Sale is due on 3/31 via Columbia. You can find more info here.

‘Never Say Never’: Keanu Reeves Opened Up About The Ending Of ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’

[This post contains spoilers for John Wick: Chapter 4]

Let’s get right to the question you had after watching John Wick: Chapter 4: how much money is this movie going to make? Wait, not that question (the answer: a lot). The other question. No, not the one about if Winston is John Wick’s father, either (the answer: I’m sure 99 percent he’s not). The question I’m referring to is: is John Wick dead? It sure seems like it, as he’s seen bleeding out on the steps of the Sacré-Cœur, and Winston and the Bowery King visit his tombstone back in New York. But…

“I don’t know, I guess I’m going to have to lean on never say never,” star Keanu Reeves told Entertainment Weekly when asked if John Wick is dead. “I mean, I wouldn’t do a John Wick film without [director] Chad Stahelski. We’d have to see what that looked like… It feels right that John Wick finds peace.”

Reeves also discussed why he wanted to make a fourth John Wick movie.

“We had the opportunity [to do another film] because the [response to] Chapter 3, and we were like, ‘What was the Why?’” he said following Chapter 4‘s South by Southwest premiere. “And when Chad and I were talking, the ‘Why?’ was death — and it was John Wick’s death. For him to get his peace, or freedom, in a way… That was the reason to make the movie. It can’t just be, ‘Let’s do another one.’ It was really about death, or a way of dying.”

Reeves did not answer the most important “why,” however: why wasn’t the Tick Tock Man in Chapter 4?

Lamar Jackson Says He Officially Requested A Trade From The Ravens On March 2

After a flurry of activity early, with some big trades and free agency signings, the NFL offseason has quieted down, in large part due to the holding pattern teams are in as the league waits to see what happens with a pair of former MVP quarterbacks.

Aaron Rodgers has made clear he wants to join the New York Jets, but the Packers haven’t exactly been moving quickly to accommodate that request. While the expectation is that Rodgers eventually finds his way to the Meadowlands, no one is quite sure when that happens and what all the Packers will be able to get back for him.

Then there is the Lamar Jackson saga in Baltimore, where the Ravens placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on the former MVP, meaning he could sign an offer sheet with another team. In the three weeks since, there has been little indication that any team is particularly interested in Jackson, with plenty of speculation of some collusion among owners to stay away and send a message, given Jackson’s hopes of landing a fully guaranteed contract like Deshaun Watson got.

Jackson has been left with little in the way of leverage, but on Monday he decided to apply pressure the one way he possibly could, by making a public announcement that prior to the franchise tag being placed on him, he requested a trade from the Ravens.

On the Ravens side, John Harbaugh’s not ready to give up on Lamar staying in Baltimore.

This seems to be Jackson trying to make clear that he’s not going to be coming back to Baltimore, at least longterm, by saying his goodbyes to Ravens fans publicly. That shifts the onus onto the Ravens to find a trade for him, but doesn’t clear up the biggest issue standing in Jackson’s way, which is that the league as a whole seems totally uninterested in giving him the guarantees in his contract he wants.

Now, there is probably a team out there willing to give him more than what the Ravens were offering, which was “guarantees” that had conditions attached, meaning they weren’t really guarantees. We still don’t know where the acceptable middle ground is between what Baltimore was offering and what Jackson wants, but he now at least makes clear that he has no plans on returning to Baltimore and puts out the public call for some team to come get him.

Baltimore may be willing to wait awhile and even hope Jackson chages his mind. The Draft isn’t for another month and at the least they’ll want to see what the Jets have to give up for Rodgers before setting their trade price on Jackson. Still, if it wasn’t clear before, Jackson is available to the rest of the league, it’s just a matter of if any team is willing to not only give him what he wants, but also what Baltimore will want in return for a star QB in his prime.

‘Succession’ Fans Found Logan Roy’s Roast Session To Be Incredibly Cringe And Comical At The Same Time

Succession is back for its fourth (and final) season. How do we know? Because fans on social media are losing it over the antics of aging Waystar-Royco patriarch, Logan Roy, once more.

Last night’s premiere gave us a glimpse at the birthday party from hell as Logan was surrounded by a bunch of executive-level vultures all circling his decaying carcass while his children, Roman, Shiv, and Kendall, plotted to steal the Pierce deal. There were plenty of cringe moments during the episode, but it was Logan’s late-in-the-day party shenanigans that really had fans cowering from second-hand embarrassment.

Forget Boar on the Floor. The newest nightmarish team-bonding exercise for Waystar-Royco employees is a little game we like to call, “Tell Logan Roy a Joke.”

First, two accurate reads of why we’re even enduring this comedy cringe-fest.

And the terrifying thought that this “game” might become a running gag of season four.

Of course, Gerri is the only one who wouldn’t even entertain the notion of an impromptu stand-up set for her boss. This is why she’ll outlive all the Roys.

If you have to laugh at your own joke Frank, it’s not funny.

Karl didn’t fare much better.

The whole thing hurt to watch.

Props to Greg for being the only slime puppy in the room to take up the gauntlet.

Wait, where is Greg’s old man?

Personally, we’d love to see Logan Roy and Tanya McQuiod at a White Lotus together.
