Eladio Carrión is ready to make Latin trap global with his new album 3MEN2 KBRN. After solidifying himself as one Latin music’s leading rappers, he proves that his knockout flow can hold up alongside the icons of American hip-hop. Carrión’s latest LP includes features from Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, Migos’ Quavo, and Future.

Carrión has set himself apart from other Latin rappers thanks to his bicultural influences. He grew up living his life between the states and Puerto Rico. Throughout his career, Carrión has teamed up with Latin superstars like J Balvin, Rauw Alejandro, Arcángel, Bizarrap, and Karol G. He broke through in 2019 thanks to Latin Grammy-nominated hit “Kemba Walker” featuring Bad Bunny.

Like his Walker tribute, Carrión continues to salute sports superstars who inspire him like with the fierce “Mbappé” remix featuring Future. He also teams up once again with Bad Bunny in the swaggering “Coco Chanel.” 3MEN2 KBRN is Carrión unleashing his full force as a Latin trap star alongside his idols and close friends.

“As a kid, growing up, listening to these artists, and now collaborating with them, it’s a dream!” Carrión says about his album’s all-star ensemble.

In April, Carrión will be performing at both weekends of Coachella. That will lead up to his Sauce USA Tour, which kicks off in May. Over Zoom, Carrión caught up with Uproxx about his latest LP, the mind-blowing collaborations, and hitting the road in our latest Q&A.

What was the experience like to blend the Latin and English rap worlds on your album 3MEN2 KBRN?

I just keep trying to build that bridge between Latin and American culture because I’ve been influenced so much by American hip-hop, but you know I do Latin music. It’s just that: making that connection stronger.

How did the “Gladiador” remix with Lil Wayne come together?

Bro, I manifested the sh*t out of that. Ever since I made the track, I always said, “I’m going to drop it, but if Wayne wants to hop on it, I’m doing the ‘Gladiador’ remix any time he wants to jump on.” Thank God, he got on it for the album. It was perfect.

What did you think when Lil Wayne was down to team up with you?

That’s my favorite rapper! He’s the reason why I go hard on this so much with my punchlines. He’s the reason why I’m picky with my bars. “Gladiador” is one of my favorite intros that I’ve done in my life. Just having him on that song specifically and knowing that it was meant for him and that he liked it. That he heard it and said, “Oh sh*t!” It’s a very big thing for me. He was amazing!

What was the experience like to work with Future on the “Mbappé” remix?

We met in Miami. We linked up over there. We talked for awhile. I had to go back in the studio to do my stuff and that’s when he killed it in his studio and recorded it. And we did the video the next day. It was dope! We closed out [Bad Bunny’s restaurant] Gekkō. There were a lot of people there. It was super cool.

What did you think when 50 Cent decided to feature on the song “Si Salimos”?

I couldn’t even believe it! 50 doesn’t record with anyone. He’s on his producer vibe right now. For him to take time out of his day to really kill that track — because he killed it — it means the world to me.

After years of grinding in the music industry, how do you feel to have an album with your idols on it?

That’s where you have to keep on grinding. That’s where the grinding gets harder. I’m just ready for more work. I’m going to keep on upping the bar.

What was the experience like to reunite with Bad Bunny for the song “Coco Chanel”?

It was cool! I went to LA. We met up. We were locked in for a couple of days. It was just cool to keep up with him because he’s a very busy person. I’m very busy too. To have a couple of days to sit down to talk and just make music, it was super dope to put something out with him again.

By having Quavo and Rich The Kid with yourself and Ñengo Flow on “Peso A Peso,” you’re definitely bringing the worlds of Latin and English rap together.

I think that’s one of the songs that people are going to most like because beat-wise and just how Quavo killed it too. He spoke Spanish. Rich spoke Spanish too. Ñengo killed it! I think that’s going to be one of the easiest songs for both the Latin side and American side to digest because the beat sounds kind of Latin and trap. It’s going to be one of the biggest hits of the album.

How do you feel to be performing at Coachella this year?

I feel amazing! For them to consider me, to go there off of Latin hip-hop, it’s a big thing. People who usually go there are more like pop singers. Just to be like an underground artist, to go there, it’s amazing.

What can we expect from your performances at Coachella and your upcoming US tour?

A lot of me sweating [and] jumping around. Maybe jumping into the crowd. Having people jump into the crowd. Just mosh pits. Just trap sh*t. A crazy light show. I always give it my all. My fans don’t expect me to do less, so I got to bring my A-game every day.

Bad Bunny is one of the headliners at Coachella this year. Is there a chance that we could see you two on the stage together?

Hey, you never know in Coachella! You never know.

What do you want to accomplish next?

Just get better at everything I do. Keep on practicing my art. Keep on going to the studio. Keep on writing songs and focus on tours to give my fans a good show.

A top Russian politician has already responded to an arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin by tweeting out a toilet paper joke. On Friday, the International Criminal Court slapped Putin with serious charges of war crimes for actions committed by Russian forces during the ongoing invasion of Ukraine.

According to the Mirror, Deputy Chair of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev mocked the ICC warrant and basically suggested they can wipe their butts with it.

“The International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant against Vladimir Putin. No need to explain WHERE this paper should be used,” Medvedev reportedly tweeted.

As for the charges against Putin, the ICC is specifically targeting the Russian president for his alleged involvement of the abduction of children from Ukraine. Not exactly the type of accusation to make toilet jokes about, but here we are.

The court said in a statement that Putin “is allegedly responsible for the war crime of unlawful deportation of population (children) and that of unlawful transfer of population (children) from occupied areas of Ukraine to the Russian Federation.”

It also issued a warrant Friday for the arrest of Maria Alekseyevna Lvova-Belova, the Commissioner for Children’s Rights in the Office of the President of the Russian Federation, on similar allegations.

However, charging Putin will not be an easy task as Russia does not recognize the ICC’s jurisdiction, and Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova made that very clear in her response to the warrant.

“The decisions of the International Criminal Court have no meaning for our country, including from a legal point of view,” she said in a statement.

In contrast, Ukraine officials were “jubilant” and a top adviser to Volodymyr Zelensky said the country is happy that the “wheels of Justice are turning.”

No Hard Feelings isn’t the only raunchy R-rated comedy starring an Oscar nominee coming out this summer.

In Joy Ride, four friends, played by Ashley Park, Sherry Cola, Sabrina Wu, Everything Everywhere All at Once star Stephanie Hsu, go on a trip to Asia to find one of their birth mothers. Along the way, there’s drug shenanigans (including a condom filled with cocaine), buff hunks, and they pose as K-pop stars to bypass airport security after their passports get stolen. When their identity is tested, they perform “WAP.” Jamie Lee Curtis, who won the Academy Award over Hsu, could never (because she’s probably sleeping).

The hilarious and unapologetically explicit story of identity and self-discovery centers on four unlikely friends who embark on a once-in-a-lifetime international adventure. When Audrey’s (Ashley Park) business trip to Asia goes sideways, she enlists the aid of Lolo (Sherry Cola), her irreverent, childhood best friend who also happens to be a hot mess; Kat (Stephanie Hsu), her college friend turned Chinese soap star; and Deadeye (Sabrina Wu), Lolo’s eccentric cousin. Their no-holds-barred, epic experience becomes a journey of bonding, friendship, belonging, and wild debauchery that reveals the universal truth of what it means to know and love who you are.

Joy Ride opens in theaters on July 7.

De La Soul’s de facto “comeback” has been bittersweet; while the group’s groundbreaking catalog has finally come to streaming platforms, it only did so after one member of the trio, Trugoy The Dove, died at the age of just 54 years old.

However, the remaining members, Posdnous and Maseo, are trucking along as best they can. They stopped by The Tonight Show this week, where they took the stage with the band to perform one of their signature songs, “Stakes Is High,” with The Roots. Black Thought helped fill the void left by Dave’s passing, rapping his verses with perfect chemistry alongside Pos — an unsurprising development, considering the impact “Stakes Is High” has had on hip-hop. Who doesn’t know those iconic rhymes?

Ahead of the performance, house band leader Questlove gave De La some flowers, telling them how much they influenced The Roots. “For the first time, we just saw, like, ourselves,” he said. “This is how the group bonded, Tariq [Black Thought] and I. We saw three friends just having fun with each other, practical jokes and all that stuff, and we had never seen that in hip-hop before.”

Meanwhile, De La’s entree to the streaming world has been pretty successful; their game-changing debut, 3 Feet High And Rising, re-entered the Billboard 200 with a new peak of No. 15.

Even before the success of her debut TDE single, “Persuasive,” musician Doechii has been unapologetically Black. In fact, her fierce embrace of her culture was one of the things fans loved about the singer the most. However, after the news was shared that her latest single, “What It Is (Block Boy),” would feature rapper Kodak Black, social media was taken back.

Despite the song showing off, as she described, “a side of my vocal range with this one that my fans haven’t really seen yet,” fans couldn’t seem to get past why Doechii would collaborate with the rapper given past remarks he’s made that some consider to anti-Black. Last year after losing to Latto at the BET Hip-Hop Awards for Song Of The Year, he took to Twitter to call her a “hating ass mutt,” in reference to her being biracial.

Kodak has also made comments against deeper-toned women, saying, “Dark skin women are more difficult. I like light skin women. They are more sensitive.”

Fans of Doechii took to Twitter in droves to bring that to her attention.

Although Doechii hasn’t addressed the pushback directly, shortly after the song’s release, she doubled back to social media to share that a version without Kodak Black is now available across streaming platforms.

Now, only the solo version of the track without Kodak Black can be found on the singer’s official YouTube page. One of the top comments on under the video reads, “Way to listen to your fans!!! Proud of you! Showing all the women in the industry how to navigate label vs. what’s true to you/your fans”

Fans circled back to thank the singer for taking action so swiftly.

However, not everyone was pleased. Some expressed that the collaboration should have never happened. While another shared that she shouldn’t have pulled the Kodak Black verse.

Donald Trump is apparently still enamored with the idea of being president again, and a new Bloomberg article also details what’s on the menu on an airplane that he has dubbed “Trump Force One.” This is the aircraft that he can still somehow afford and which takes him zooming around the nation for rallies while Ivanka and Jared pretend not to know him. And boy, is this plane menu sticking with the Trump brand of fast-food loving. That includes his adoration of eating KFC with a fork because that’s the fancy way to do it, and at least he washes it down with diet soda to be somewhat healthy.

In all seriousness, Trump really did invite journalists to travel with him, and he gathered everyone to the front of the plane to declare (via Bloomberg), “We have good Wi-Fi. You notice? They say it works very well. There’s a lot of planes that it doesn’t work too well.” If you wondered what “some planes” he is referring to, look no further:

Trump’s plane has large, white leather seats, cream-colored carpeting, wood paneling and — in typical Trump fashion — gold trimmings. The plane is equipped with Wi-Fi, a feature reporters on Air Force One don’t have.

Shortly after Trump’s plane was wheels up from Iowa back to Palm Beach, a flight attendant walked to the front with a large red and white bucket of KFC chicken. Aides went back and forth to the plane’s kitchen with plates of fried chicken, mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. Coconut pie was served for dessert. The soundtrack from his rallies lightly played on the plane’s speakers.

The entire article is worth a read, and it’s quite something that Trump’s Ron DeSantis jokes/nicknames feel like a minor point. He gave another vote for “Tiny D” along with “DeSanctimonius.” He also offered up barbs about DeSantis maybe working at Pizza Hut or an obscure law firm. Oh that Trump, always on brand.

The first time we see Chris Pratt as Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy, he’s dancing and singing along to “Come and Get Your Love” by Redbone. It’s a great song from a great band (and a historically important one, as Reservation Dogs taught us), but Pratt would prefer to never hear it again.

The actor recently appeared on BBC’s The One Show, where the hosts (jokingly?) tried to get him to dance to “Come and Get Your Love” like Star-Lord in Guardians. It’s a real “say the line, Bart” moment. “Oh man, this never gets old. I never get tired of hearing that,” he said with an eye roll before doing a comically exaggerated groan whenever someone asks him to “do the dance.”

It’s hard to blame Pratt: he’s listened to the Awesome Mix a lot. “In my mind, I was thinking, ‘This is the one album this guy has listened to since he was 10. I want to know these songs inside and out,’ so as I trained for that movie, it was all I listened for six months. I must have heard each of those songs several hundred times,” he said. “And so, uh, yeah, I don’t like any of them anymore.”

100 Gecs unveiled their highly anticipated new album 10,000 Gecs today after releasing singles like “Hollywood Baby” and “Doritos & Fritos.” Along with the record they’ve unleashed the video for “Dumbest Girl Alive.”

The chaotic video builds throughout the two minutes, leading up to an iconic, unrelenting guitar smash that encapsulates the madness of 100 Gecs and this eccentric new record. The lyrics are as amazingly bewildering as ever: “I took ten Advils today / I’ve got bruises on my thighs / Plus I gave away my brain / I’m the dumbest girl alive.” And it only gets weirder in the best way: “Money coming from my mouth / Money coming from my eyes / And I keep on losing count / I’m the dumbest girl alive.”

About the album, Laura Les shared about taking a step back from some of the Auto-Tune effects. “As I’ve been exploring my voice more, I’m like, ‘I can do this,’” Laura Les said. “And also I’m sick of worrying about it. If I don’t just f*cking do it, then I’m just a scaredy cat. And I don’t want to be a scaredy cat.”

Taylor Swift wrapped up her most recent worldwide tour in November 2018. Since then, she’s released four albums — 2019’s sunny Lover, 2020’s folk-pop Folklore and its superior follow-up (yeah I said it) Evermore, and 2022’s record-breaking Midnights — as well as re-recordings of Fearless and Red. That’s over 50 new songs, on top of her “old” singles and deep cuts. Good luck putting together the setlist for the the Eras Tour, Taylor.

The tour kicks off tonight, March 17th, at State Farm Stadium in Swift City, er, Glendale, Arizona. Setlist.fm better tredecuple check its servers because Swifties worldwide will be checking to see which songs made the cut.

Ahead of the surge, I thought it would be interesting to look at her old setlists, and see which tracks from every album have been played the most and the least. It’s an imperfect methodology, as we’ll get into below, but it gives a sense of Swift’s personal favorites, the songs she must feel obligated to play every show, and the rarities that could be resurrected for the Eras Tour.

Taylor Swift (2006)

Most played: “Our Song”
Least played: “Cold As You”

The first Taylor Swift show on setlist.fm dates back to 2001, when a teeny, tiny Taylor played the Fairgrounds Square Shopping Mall in her home state of Pennsylvania (she also wrote her first song, “Lucky You,” that year). But the first documented live performance of her most-played song on her self-titled album isn’t until 2006, when she debuted “Our Song” (and two officially unreleased tracks) at Fort Loudoun Lake in Knoxville, Tennessee. Needless to say, she would not be playing random lakes near the Wigsphere much longer.

Fearless (2008)

Most played: “Love Story”
Least played: “Breathe”

Swift has a lot of bangers in her discography, obviously, but I stand by my assertion that “Love Story” is her best karaoke song. It’s a love story, baby, just say yes to getting drunk and screaming out the story of Romeo and Juliet in a room of equally inebriated strangers. It would be a shame if “Love Story” didn’t make the Eras Tour setlist, even if it’s literally her most-played song ever with nearly 500 performances. Meanwhile, “Breathe” has only been played once: at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium in 2018 during the Reputation tour.

Speak Now (2010)

Most played: “Sparks Fly”
Least played: “Innocent”

I didn’t see Taylor live until the 1989 Tour (I know I know I’m sorry), a decision I regret every time I watch the “Sparks Fly” music video. It’s pure exuberance, a live-action fairy tale that evokes infinite possibilities. Except for seeing Taylor in 13,000 seats-sized venues again. That is not possible anymore.

“Sparks Fly” has been played hundreds of times, but two other songs from Speak Now have only been heard live once, “Innocent” and “Superman.” I’m singling out “Innocent” because a) “Superman” is a deluxe edition bonus track and I’m not including those for this setlist exercise, and b) that single performance was during the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. An interesting choice, even with the context that the tender ballad was written in response to what happened between her and Kanye West at the previous year’s VMAs.

Red (2012)

Most played: “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”
Least played: “I Almost Do” and “Sad Beautiful Tragic”

“We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” narrowly edged out “I Knew You Were Trouble” for first place among Red tracks, although I was surprised to the severely underrated title track in third place. In fifth, sixth, and seventh place: “All Too Well,” “Holy Ground,” and “State of Grace,” all of which Swift should play at every show for the rest of her career. Thank you in advance. In last place, so to speak (and not including bonus track “Come Back… Be Here”), are “I Almost Do” and “Sad Beautiful Tragic.” One of which is much better than the other. I won’t say which, though (yes, I will, it’s “I Almost Do”).

1989 (2014)

Most played: “Shake It Off”
Least played: “This Love”

Will Swift ever retire “Shake It Off” from the setlist? Unlikely. It’s not technically her biggest song (it’s not even the biggest song on 1989; according to Spotify streams, that honor goes to “Blank Space”), but I would argue it’s her most well-known song. Everyone knows “Shake It Off,” from kids to grandmas who famously love to get down with sick beats. Besides, it’s super fun! Less fun but more lovely is “This Love,” an atmospheric fan-favorite track that got a Taylor’s Version makeover before much of the rest of 1989. Swift must have affection for it, as do I. Here’s hoping it gets dusted off at least once.

Reputation (2017)

Most played: “…Ready for It?” and “Delicate”
Least played: N/A

Are you ready for “…Ready for It?”? If you saw Swift during the Reputation tour, you better have been: she played it at basically, if not literally, every concert, along with a few Jingle Ball shows. “Delicate” (hot take: her best music video) was also a setlist mainstay, as most of the Reputation tracklist.

It’s hard to figure out the least-played song from the best because, for instance, “New Year’s Day” is listed as having only been played five times — but that doesn’t include the 50-plus times it was mashed up with “Long Live.” It will be interesting to see how much Reputation (her most polarizing album) makes the Eras Tour cut. Whatever the setlist looks like, hold on to the memories of seeing Taylor live, they will hold on to you.

As for Lover, Folklore, Evermore, and Midnights, Swift hasn’t toured behind any of those albums yet (or the Taylor’s Version vault tracks) due to the pandemic. But among random one-off gigs, “ME!” leads the way with over a dozen performances, while “Anti-Hero” from Midnights made its live debut during a surprise appearance with The 1975. It would not surprise me if that’s the song Swift uses to kick off the Eras Tour. Or maybe “Tim McGraw” to really span the eras. We’ll find out soon enough.

Viewers streaming Donald Glover’s heavily anticipated stan culture satire Swarm were greeted with an unexpected sight as the show started streaming: pop star Chlöe‘s first-ever sex scene. While the singer has openly flaunted her sexuality in music videos for singles like “Have Mercy” and “Treat Me” (and fielded complaints about it online), this was her first time having simulated sex on camera and she credited scene partner Damson Idris (of Snowfall acclaim) with helping her overcome her initial nerves.

In an interview with Deadline at SXSW earlier this month — which has since resurfaced, for obvious reasons — Chlöe explained why she was nervous to film the scene in the first place, despite her sometimes racy image, and how Idris helped her feel more comfortable during filming.

“As open and liberal as I am about my body, I was very scared because I haven’t had that many partners,” she recalled. I’m not like that—like that sexual and open. Damson made it really comfortable; you know, there were limited people on set. It was a closed set.”

Damson kept things light, which helped her ease into what might otherwise be an embarrassing situation.

“We literally had a bouncy ball in between us, and you know, we were making a joke out of it, so it took all of the nervousness away from that,” she said. “I have to give a lot of kudos to him as a man for making me, as a woman, feel comfortable literally being raw and naked.”

The singer wasn’t the only one drawing attention during the show’s first season. Billie Eilish received praise for her acting (and smooching), while fans were gagged at a Halsey joke delivered by Paris Jackson. Meanwhile, Chlöe is also booked for some lighter fare onscreen; her gospel-inflected comedy Praise This is due to hit Peacock on April 7 (talk about RANGE). She’s also dropping her debut solo album In Pieces on March 31.
