Ice Spice And Drake Are Still ‘Cool’ According To The Rapper Despite Their Rumored Falling Out Late Last Year

In a recent interview, Ice Spice set the record straight on her rumored beef with Drake. During a chat with The New York Times, the “Munch” rapper wanted to clarify that she has no issue with the Canadian hitmaker.

Initially, it was rumored that Drake had dissed the Bronx native on a track titled “BackOutsideBoyz” from his Her Loss album, which was released this past November. On the track, Drake raps, “She a ten tryna rap, it’s good on mute.”

After gaining wind of the supposed dig, Ice Spice took to Twitter, writing, “at least ima 10.”

Now, the 23-year-old viral sensation seemingly walks back the reported falling out. When has about the brush up in November, she told the outlet, “We’re cool. We spoke after that a couple [of] times, and we’re good,” further clarifying, “There’s no beef.”

With the release of her debut EP, Like…?, this past Friday (January 20), she has been busy inside and outside music. Songs “Munch (Feelin’ U),” “Bikini Bottom,” and “In Ha Mood” continues to gain traction on streaming. While “Princess Diana” has been declared a fan favorite.

Ice Spice Look-A-Likes Descended Upon Times Square For A Hilarious Flash Mob Stunt

A group of Ice Spice doppelgangers was recently seen dancing around Times Square. The hilarious stunt was presumably to help promote her recently released debut EP Like…?, which was released this past Friday (January 20). The red, curly-headed dancers caused a flurry on social media, and judging by the response, it seems like the gag worked in Ice Spice’s favor.

The 23-year-old viral hitmaker’s new project featured a collection of some of her recent chart-topping hits, such as “Munch (Feelin’ U),” “Bikini Bottom,” and “In Ha Mood.” Also, the EP includes some new tracks, namely “Princess Diana,” which has quickly become a fan favorite, as well as “Actin A Smoochie” and “Gangsta Boo” with Lil Tjay.

This new project has seemingly set the Bronx rapper up for success. It will be exciting to see where she goes from here.

Outside of music, Ice Spice is one of the prominent artists that have been tapped to be a part of Beyoncé’s new Ivy Park x Adidas collection. Migos rapper Offset, his son Kody, and model Devon Aoki are expected to be included in the campaign.

The “Park Trail” line will feature gender-neutral performance apparel pieces, including sequined jackets, faux fur coats, canvas tracksuits, performance tights, hoodies, sweaters, and sweatshirts in forest green, lime green, cream white, indigo orange, purple, and a camouflage print.

In a statement released by the company, the new line is described as a “trail-blazing expression of performance wear inspired by the resilience of the outdoors, the spirit of the streets, and the possibilities of the future.”

The collection will be available online and in Adidas stores starting February 9 and in select retailers globally on February 10.

Drake Hints That Another Full-Length Project May Be In The Works: ‘I Might Get Bored & Make Another One’

Drake hasn’t let earning 1 billion streams in less than two months stop him from making more music. During his highly-anticipated concert with SiriusXM at the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York, the Canadian rapper revealed that he might have something new up his sleeve. To put it in context, the “Jumbotron Sh*t Poppin” rapper’s latest collaborative album, Her Loss, with 21 Savage, was only released in November.

If fans thought the 16-track project was the last they’d hear from Drake, he hinted that anything is possible. While addressing the sold-out crowd, the rapper said, “I hope I can strike up more emotions for you,” as he played some of his biggest records. Later adding, “Maybe this year, I might get bored and make another one.”

Although it is just speculation at this point, if the rapper were to release another full-length project before the year’s end, his OVO Sound label could potentially dominate with tours throughout the year. As the latest signee, Naomi Sharon as well as PartyNextDoor are both working on projects. In contrast, DVSN has already completed their tour obligations.

Another album also would allow Drake to set another RIAA record.

When the next project is released, just as a word of advice, Drake, stir far away from the fake album rollout efforts.

Trump Made Things Awfully Awkward At Diamond’s Memorial When He Claimed He Had No Idea Who Her Sister Silk Was

Donald Trump’s kind of an awkward guy. He’s constantly letting slip bizarre admissions. One time he even admitted he lost re-election in 2020. He has no self-awareness and he has no self-control. That can lead to him doing things like, let’s say, making things weird at the funeral for one of his most passionate supporters.

Last week, Lynette “Diamond” Hardaway — one half of the MAGA duo Diamond and Silk, along with her sister Rochelle “Silk” Richardson — suddenly passed away. The cause had not yet been made public. On Saturday, Trumpworld figures converged for a massive memorial to the woman, who became famous for her and her sister’s ardent support for America’s controversial 45th president. Not only are they two of his biggest cheerleaders, they’ve done numerous photo ops with him, even testified before Congress. But at Diamond’s funeral, Trump only seemed to remember one of them.

“The world has lost one of its brightest stars,” Trump told the crowd. Then he looked on the bright side of things. “We have another star who’s equal to, but she stepped up and she is different.”

He was referring to Silk, but then he made a startling admission: “I’m serious, I thought I knew them both. I didn’t. I knew Diamond but I didn’t know Silk at all. I just learned about Silk. You’re fantastic.”

What did Silk think about this? Would she even care that the president she loves a) never seemed to clock her, despite meeting him multiples times, not to mention b) admitted as such publicly, at her sister’s memorial?

Whatever the case, Trump soon moved on to another subject close to his heart: himself, whom he praised for helping organize such a huge memorial.

https://twitter.com/RonFilipkowski/status/161694788404944896

“The chapel wouldn’t have held the kind of people, the number of people that we have,” Trump told the crowd of mourners. “And we’re doing it right and that’s the way it should be and I did notice a big line of very, very nice vehicles outside. That’s got to be handled properly, right? So we’re going to handle it properly. Go out in style. She knew that. Go out in style.”

In short, maybe don’t invite a predictably hostile witness to your family member’s memorial.

More Details On Who Performed At Lisa Marie Presley’s Funeral

Several prominent artists came together to pay their respects at Lisa Marie Presley’s funeral. Lisa Marie, the only child of rock pioneer Elvis Presley, died at 54 after suffering from cardiac arrest. The singer had followed in her father’s footsteps, making chart-topping hits of her own. She also had two high-profile marriages to Nicholas Cage and pop icon Michael Jackson. So it’s no surprise some of the biggest artists in music came to pay tribute to the late star.

Guns N’ Roses’ frontman Axl Rose, Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan, and Alanis Morissette were among the artists to pay musical tributes to Lisa Marie Presley at the Graceland public memorial service Sunday, Rolling Stone reports.

Corgan was the first performer at the memorial service, delivering an acoustic rendition of the Smashing Pumpkins’ ballad “To Sheila.”

Later, Rose would perform a heartfelt solo rendition of Guns N’ Roses’ “November Rain.”

“I never in a million years imagined being here, singing under these circumstances,” Rose said before his performance. “I do know Lisa loved her family very much and was fiercely protective of her father and his legacy.”

Toward the end of the service, following a speech from Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, Morissette, accompanied by a pianist, performed her song “Rest.”

Elvis’associate Jerry Schilling, her mother, Priscilla Presley, and Riley Keough, Lisa Marie’s daughter, were also in attendance. Riley penned a note to her mother that her husband, Ben Smith-Petersen, read aloud.

Bowen Yang’s George Santos Crashed The Eagles-Giants Post-Game To Make More Outlandish Claims In The ‘SNL’ Cold Open

SNL hasn’t been live for over a month, thanks to the holidays. But when they returned they made sure to tackle the biggest story to emerge since they went on break: the ever-escalating and often strange allegations made about George Santos. The newly sworn-in GOP lawmaker has been a frequent target of late night comedy, thanks to his propensity for embellishment and outright lies. He was a natural fit for the latest episode’s Cold Open, in which he made some glaring fibs about his athletic prowess.

The first SNL of 2023 began about a half hour after the divisional round game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants. (The Eagles crushed it.) So it was only fitting that the latest Cold Open spoofed NFL on Fox. But most of the sketch’s real estate was dedicated to Santos jokes, with Bowen Yang playing the embattled fabulist, making one tall claim after another.

“I’m sort of the real Bo Jackson, and I’m proud to be first African American quarterback to ever dunk a football,” Yang’s Santos said.

The host asked him about claims that he was a drag queen in Brazil. “Well, I didn’t do drag in Brazil,” he replied. “I didn’t do drag in Brazil under the name Kitara Ravache! Whoever did that was very, very good at it and won many, many pageants.”

Yang’s Santos also laid out some of his alleged NFL stats, including “12 touchdowns,” “17 rebounds,” and “10 RBI.”

He returned later in the sketch, appearing in drag and claiming he was “Kitara Revache,” Santos’ alleged drag queen name. “Now allow me to give you my real stats: Death drops, 26. Duck walks, 19. Wigs snatched, infinity,” he boasted. “And I was also given the award for tightest tuck.”

George Santos Seemed To Admit He Did Drag But Denies He Was A ‘Drag Queen’: ‘I Had Fun At A Festival’

There are a lot of strange and alarming (and strange/alarming) allegations about George Santos. A lot. Almost too many. It’s a surprise the newly sworn-in GOP representative can get any work done. Everywhere he goes he’s plagued by reporters questioning him about the neverending avalanche of claims made about him. Among the latest is that, in his youth, he was a drag queen in Brazil — an allegation that wouldn’t sit so well with a political party that’s spent months inexplicably demonizing them. Now he’s trying to thread the needle of admitting the truth without alienating his base.

As per TMZ, reporters hounded Santos after he landed at LaGuardia airport in New York City. Rather than ignore them, as he often does, he witheringly responded.

“No, I was not a drag queen in Brazil, guys,” an exasperated Santos replied. “I was young and I had fun at a festival. Sue me for having a life.”

Even that claim was fishy. Politico recently dug into the Wikipedia bio for one “Anthony Devolder,” an alias Santos’ often used, in which he bragged (amidst a flurry of typos and grammatical errors) that he was, in all caps, a “DRAG QUEEN” who “won sevral [sic] GAY ‘BEAUTY PAGENTS [sic].’”

Of course, Santos allegedly being a former drag queen is hardly one of the more scandalous claims made about him. That might be the one about him allegedly stealing money from a GoFundMe for a dying dog (that later died).

Aubrey Plaza’s ‘SNL’ Monologue Was Interrupted By Fellow Delaware Resident (And Sitting U.S. President) Joe Biden

Who’s the most famous resident of the thrilling state of Delaware? Some may say it’s the guy currently sitting in the Oval Office. Others might say it’s Aubrey Plaza, one of the standouts on the most recent season of The White Lotus and the star of last year’s Emily the Criminal. Whatever the case, only one of them hosted the most recent episode of SNL. But at least the sitting U.S. president took a minute or two out of his busy schedule to record a brief interruption.

During her opening monologue, Plaza spent most of her time delving into her past, namely her time in college when she was a page at 30 Rockefeller Center, where SNL is shot. She was awful at her job, she freely admitted, showing up an hour late, sometimes hungover and forbidden from taking calls because she just happened to be rude to strangers.

But look at her now! She’s a popular and acclaimed actress who had a great 2022. She’s doing so well for herself that she claimed she was “actually voted the most famous person” from the Blue Hen State. (She didn’t cite which poll bestowed upon her that honor, nor did she mention that the 46th president was actually born in Scranton, Pennsylvania and only moved to Delaware when he was 10.) Plaza claimed Biden “was pissed, he was livid” when he heard the news. He was so furious that he recorded a pre-taped video addressing the upset.

“Aubrey, you’re the most famous person out of Delaware and there’s no question about that,” Biden said in the video. “We’re just grateful you made it out of White Lotus alive.”

You can watch Plaza’s monologue — and Biden’s interruption — in the video above.

Aubrey Plaza Brought Back The Eternally Cranky April Ludgate With Amy Poehler’s Leslie Knope For A ‘Parks And Rec’ Reunion On ‘SNL’

There’s a chance the first time you saw Aubrey Plaza was on Parks and Recreation. For seven seasons she played April Ludgate, the eternally cranky small town government employee who rarely spoke above a withering monotone. Since then Plaza has shown incredible range. Last year she played both the desperate schemer in Emily the Criminal and an unraveling member of the nouveau riche on The White Lotus. But for her first-ever SNL, Plaza dusted off the character that made her name.

Plaza’s April joined Michael Che and Colin Jost on Weekend Update, ostensibly to encourage young viewers to get involved in local government despite, you know, how weird people are about such matters these days. It was, inevitably, like pulling teeth. Her advice included becoming a dog catcher, but instead of doing your job she advised you “just say you couldn’t find any.”

She was soon joined by a much more enthusiastic colleague, Leslie Knope, the eternally bubbly mid-level bureaucrat played by SNL alum Amy Poehler. However, Leslie found herself more enamored with being on the long-running sketch show. Instead of begging people to join local government, she grilled Jost and Che on how the show works. Eventually she even told a joke — not a mean one, but a nice one about a dog.

You can watch the Parks and Rec reunion in the video above.

What’s Popular On Streaming Now

Every single week, our TV and film experts will list the most important ten streaming selections for you to pop into your queues. We’re not strictly operating upon reviews or accrued streaming clicks (although yes, we’ve scoured the streaming site charts) but, instead, upon those selections that are really worth noticing amid the churning sea of content. There’s a lot out there, after all, and your time is valuable.

TIE: 10. The Pale Blue Eye (Netflix film)

Christian Bale took a break from his intense method acting, and this film is arguably more refreshing for it. In this fictional story, The Machinist star portrays a seasoned detective who recruits a then-unknown Edgar Allen Poe (Harry Milling) to investigate a rash of suspicious deaths. In the process, the pulpy story and gorgeous-looking cinematography paint a convincing portrait of what could have led to the Poe that we know today.

TIE: 10. Mayor Of Kingstown (Paramount+ series)

Alongside co-star Kyle Chandler and Taylor Handley, Jeremy Renner plays a McLusky family leader in this Taylor Sheridan-universe offshoot that somehow isn’t related to all of those Yellowstone shows. Sheridan co-created this series, which is now spinning through Season 2, alongside Hugh Dillon in this story inspired by Dillon’s time growing up near the Kingston Penitentiary in Ontario. Renner’s character plays the wheeler and dealer between inmates and law enforcement, and he appears to truly relish the intense ride in a crime thriller that took him far away from the MCU.

9. Velma (HBO Max series)

This series isn’t grabbing good attention, but nonetheless, people are talking about it. Creator Mindy Kaling voices the lead role of this Velma Dinkley origin story that reinvents several Scooby Doo gang members without a Scooby to be seen. That’s probably for the better at this point, and the show does have a fine time playing with some of Velma’s freshly canonized personal details as confirmed in last year’s Trick Or Treat Scooby Doo movie. At least Fred (Glenn Howerton) doesn’t change his doofus status, so that stays consistent.

8. The Banshees Of Inisherin (Searchlight Pictures film streaming on HBO Max)

Look for this film to stick around until at least Oscar time because Colin Farrell‘s Globes presence practically guaranteed that his performance will be rewarded. He reteams here with In Bruges co-star Brendan Gleeson to boil down a century of Irish history within their characters in a bleakly funny way. As well, Barry Keoghan continues to be omnipresent these days while adding to the central dynamic.

7. Servant (Apple TV+ series)

Few would have thought that M. Night Shyalmalan would be showrunning to his (and the audience’s) content in this well-plotted series that brings us post-Harry Potter Rupert Grint at his best. This will be the final season, and hopefully, we won’t see on of those notorious gotcha twists because so far, this carefully crafted series has impressed after the initially tragic circumstances with which it first began.

6. The Hatchet Wielding Hitchhiker (Netflix documentary)

Netflix’s true crime coffers run far and wide, and so far, they’re killing the genre at a bloodier, more sinister rate than all other streaming services. This new entry is both engrossing and infuriating while it traces the path of the viral sensation who halted a mass murder in process. Yep, he used a hatchet, as the title indicates, and this film charts his rise and rapid fall while still living (behind bars) in infamy.

5. Night Court (NBC series streaming on Peacock)

John Larroquette takes center stage in this revival that you may not have wanted to see but will likely end up checking out anyway. The 1980s legal sitcom rode high with Cheers, Family Ties, and The Cosby Show (ugh), and it’s rather wild that this is the revival that we’re seeing in 2023. There’s been no trace of Richard Moll or Markie Post or Harry Anderson thus far, but people will nonetheless enjoy revisiting that laugh track.

4. That ’90s Show (Netflix series)

Speaking of nostalgia, this show has done a reversal and brought back almost all of the principal cast members, other than Danny Masterson (for… reasons). Jackie and Kelso are somehow married, and good times in the Forman basement are still alive and well (as are Red and Kitty), and we’ll see a new primary cast of characters, including the daughter of Eric and Donna. Bob comes back, and Tommy Chong returns as Leo, along with Wilmer Valderrama as Fez. Time will tell if this reaches levels of Cobra Kai success, and speaking of which, that show recently scored a final-season renewal.

3. The Walking Dead (AMC series on AMC+ and Netflix)

Season 11 finally landed on Netflix, which partially accounts for the resurrection of this show on streaming. That gives people plenty of time to catch up and prepare for the final season of Fear The Walking Dead, which is otherwise streaming over on Hulu. Once you’re done there, get ready for three upcoming universe spinoffs, including the Rick Grimes/Michonne series, the Daryl Dixon show, and The Walking Dead: Dead City, which will give us extra terrifying Walkers and the unlikely dream team of Negan and Maggie.

2. The Menu (Searchlight Pictures/20th Century Studios film streaming on HBO Max)

Ralph Fiennes plays one of several intriguing chefs who have arrived on the menu over the past year. He’s not exactly The Bear‘s Carmy or Emily In Paris‘ Gabriel, but that’s alright. More than alright, actually, and Anya Taylor-Joy holds her own against a psychopath in this merciless foodie-comedy of horrors. You and I will undoubtedly never drop $1,250+ on one meal, but this movie should make you feel happy about it.

1. The Last Of Us (HBO series streaming on HBO Max)

A different take on zombies arrives in this rare success of a video game adaptation, and surprisingly enough, you don’t have to know anything about the video game in order to enjoy the series. In fact, you might actually enjoy it more because you won’t know what’s coming. If anyone could tell this story like it’s currently going down, that would be Chernobyl showrunner Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann. Amid all of the apocalyptic touches, which will simultaneously fill you with awe and dread, you’ll get some bonus Depeche Mode. Those are sure signs of the beginning of another epic HBO show.
