Nicolas Cage Is ‘Heartbroken’ Over Ex-Wife Lisa Marie Presley’s Death

The world has been shaken by the tragic death of Lisa Marie Presley who passed away yesterday at 54. The Hollywood Reporter has published a series of statements from friends of the star, including one from Nicolas Cage.

“This is devastating news,” the actor, who was married to Presley from 2002 to 2004, told the publication. “Lisa had the greatest laugh of anyone I ever met. She lit up every room, and I am heartbroken. I find some solace believing she is reunited with her son Benjamin.”

Presley’s son Benjamin Keough died at 27 years old in 2020.

The news of Presley’s death came from a statement from her mother Priscilla: “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.”

Presley was supportive of the recent film about her father, Elvis. On social media, she championed the movie, “In my humble opinion, his performance is unprecedented and FINALLY done accurately and respectfully. (If he doesn’t get an Oscar for this, I will eat my own foot, haha.)” She added that “you can feel and witness Baz’s pure love, care, and respect for my father throughout this beautiful film, and it is finally something that myself and my children and their children can be proud of forever.”

Matt Reeves Takes A Break From Batman To Talk 15 Years Of ‘Cloverfield’

When I got an email publicizing the release of a new 15th anniversary 4K disc of Cloverfield, my first reaction was, well, this can’t be right. Fifteen years? After doing the math I have some news: the good folks at Paramount did not miscount. It has, somehow, been 15 years.

If you were on the internet at all in 2007 and 2008, Cloverfield was an online sensation. What even was it supposed to be? The trailer premiered before the first Transformers and it didn’t even have a title. Even more strange, as Matt Reeves reflects ahead, there wasn’t even a movie. Reeves and his team just went out and shot a trailer, as opposed to putting together footage from a movie being filmed. After they shot that trailer, then they had to figure out what the movie even was going to be. This all led to wild speculation as to the plot of this still unnamed movie, going as far for there to be speculation that it was a Voltron movie because someone mistook the word “alive” for “lion.”

To celebrate Cloverfield at 15 (seriously, really?) we spoke to Matt Reeves. Reeves, as we know, is knee-deep in the Batman universe right now. The Batman keeps picking up a slew of awards nominations for technical and cinematic achievements, then there’s the series featuring Colin Farrell as Penguin, then of course the next installment of his movie. All while the DC films are going through massive restructuring with, now, James Gunn calling the shots. So there did seem to be an air of whimsy in Reeves’s voice as he talked about Cloverfield, which in retrospect kind of seems like a miracle. And will we see the Cloverfield monster again?

And speaking of James Gunn, I, jokingly, had some advice for Reeves for his next meeting with Gunn, which, apparently, is coming up soon. (Obviously, Reeves doesn’t need any advice.)

I just realized I have interviewed you for every movie you’ve directed since Let Me In.

Is that right?

So now we’re going back to pick up the two I missed. We have to do The Pallbearer next.

Okay! We can do that. [Laughs] When we do the re-release of that, we’ll do the 4K of that one. No.

I actually like The Pallbearer.

I did too. It was a very personal film for me. There’s a crazy story. There are fun stories to be had about that movie one day for people who don’t care about it. Okay, we’ll talk about that down the line.

You’re in the midst of The Batman getting all these award nominations, does it feel like whiplash to all of a sudden talk about Cloverfield?

Well, first of all, it’s head spinning in this sense: It’s been 15 years.

I can’t believe that either. I’m with you on that. I had to double-check that. There’s no way.

Look, making that movie was terrifying, but also really, really fun. And it was one of these things where it felt like, oh my God, this could be an utter disaster. We really didn’t know what we were doing. I entered, there was no script yet. Drew [Goddard] and I met and he had an outline, but then he and I started working on the outline and then we met every day. But I was preparing the movie from our outline, from his outline, that we didn’t have a script for.

So my production designer, I’d have to tell him each day, “Okay, so this is what we’re doing now.” He was like, “Wait, wait, I need to build sets though. We’re shooting in 12 weeks!” It was crazy. And so the experience of doing that … and then the trailer comes out and people are going like, “Wow, what is this?” And I’m thinking, as we’re doing it – because we’re very short into shooting at that point – I’m going, “I don’t know what this movie is yet.” And the whole world was going, “Hey, what’s this movie?” Which was thrilling and terrifying. So it was a very special experience. I look back at it… it’s a weird thing to think that it’s 15 years ago, but also I can feel that it’s 15 years ago that at that time it just felt like this crazy experiment.

Speaking of sets, I just thought of this… I hadn’t lived in New York very long when you were filming this and I couldn’t walk down the street without running into your production. Something called Slusho was everywhere. “Oh, I need to go to this bar.” “No, you cant walk this way, Slusho is filming.”

Is that right? We kept changing the name of our production! There was literally a time I was like, “Well, why don’t we just call it Cheese?” And then literally online, there were all these people going like, “Oh, production’s now moved to this street and it’s called Cheese.” And I was like, “How are they doing this!?” It was crazy! Yeah, again, another part of the crazy thing, that’s what happens when you put out a trailer before Transformers with no title for a movie that you haven’t made yet.

And that’s how people think it’s Voltron. That still is crazy to me.

[Laughs] Well, that, I think, is because I’m actually in the trailer, one of the voices saying, “Oh my God, I saw it. It’s alive. It’s huge.” It sounds like, “a lion.”

See, that’s what you should do next. You should make a Voltron movie and really bring this full circle.

Maybe that’s the next Batman movie.

Yes, Batman versus Voltron. You’ll get two fan bases with that.

There you go.

Was the marketing for this movie fun? Because I could see it being fun, but also I could see you being like, “Can I just tell people what this movie is?”

To be honest with you, it was really fun because you don’t usually have a situation where you go out and you shoot the trailer. That’s what we did. Like I said, that was an experiment to see whether or not we could even make a HandyCam VFX movie because they didn’t know if they could track the handheld camera. And so the whole thing was scripted and we went out and shot it. And a lot of that was, literally, I watched all these YouTube videos and my storyboard artists who I have used on every movie since Josh Shepherd, he found this going away party with these guys who were filming each other. And I was like, “Oh my gosh, there’s some cool stuff.” We literally ripped off some of that in a way, going like, oh, this is the vibe. And so, to be able to go out and make a non-titled movie trailer where the head of the Statue of Liberty comes down, crashes the street and people go, “What just happened?” That was really fun. That was really fun.

Oh, I bet.

And then when they brought in the poster, half the Statue of Liberty without its head off, we were like, this is amazing. Because it was like, oh, these are perfect, they are in dialogue to each other. We’re making a trailer where the head of the Statue of Liberty has been ripped off and pitched down the street and here’s this poster without the head. So the marketing was amazing on that movie. And it was fun to be able to be so much a part of it.

It is surprising we haven’t seen the Cloverfield monster again. We keep hearing about direct sequels. Even as recently as 2021. Is this a possibility that it’s still going to happen because we’ve been hearing about it since this one came out, and would you be involved?

It’s Cloverfield, so I’m not allowed to talk about anything ever.

I see.

That’s the whole point of Cloverfield. But I’ll just say this, anything is always possible and I’m certainly excited about the idea of doing more. We’ve done a bunch now and I love it. It’s really cool. But I can’t really comment on actually what might happen in the future.

So with all the DC stuff going on, and James Gunn taking over, he’s a St. Louis guy…

Yeah.

Here’s my advice. As someone from there myself, anytime you want to get something done, St. Louis people love it when you drop St. Louis references.

Is that right? I’m going to be meeting with James I think later this month just to talk and so give me some…

Alright, so maybe if there’s something you like, but it could be better, say something along the lines of like, “Yeah, that’s pretty good, but it’s no Ted Drewes frozen custard.” There you go.

Okay. Ted Drewes frozen custard. Ted Drewes frozen custard is amazing? Is that what that is?

It is the most famous thing in St. Louis, other than the Cardinals.

Is that like Carvel ice cream in New York?

Oh, it’s better.

[Laughs] Sorry, I probably just offended you. But anyway, yeah, I hear you. I’m sure it’s better.

Anyway, if you want something done, there’s your line.

All right, cool.

Bryan Cranston Received Some Unexpected ‘Blowback’ After Someone Stole His ‘Breaking Bad’ Scripts

Back in 2013, a Spooge wannabe broke into Bryan Cranston‘s car and stole a briefcase that contained his iPad and scripts from the final season of Breaking Bad. The doofus didn’t get very far (he was overheard bragging about the theft at a “local bar” and was quickly arrested, according to reports at the time), but the worst part for Cranston wasn’t the scripts themselves being stolen — it was the “blowback” he received online.

“I was driving around. I went to the top of the Sandia Mountains in Albuquerque and I was looking around, going for a walk, and I come back and someone broke into my car. And in it was my briefcase with the last two scripts of Breaking Bad,” Cranston said on Thursday’s episode of The Late Late Show. Cranston drove to the police station, which was closed (???) at the time. A sign on the door said, “If it’s an emergency, call 911. If it’s not an emergency, call this number.” He called the second number, and left his name.

The story about the stolen scripts leaked, however, and it was all over the news. “The next day on Good Morning America, ‘Bryan Cranston had his scripts stolen and called 911. We have the tape!’ And then as the social media will have it, I got a lot of blowback. ‘Why would he busy up the 911 signal? Someone may really need that!’” Cranston said.

The scripts never leaked, but just in case, Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan “changed a lot” of the final season. If that’s how we ended up with a pile of dead neo-Nazis, I say the person who stole the scripts is a hero. Where’s his statue?

Miley Cyrus Fans Theorize That Her New Song ‘Flowers’ Resembling A Bruno Mars Hit Has To Do With Liam Hemsworth

Hours ago, Miley Cyrus came through with her latest song: “Flowers,” the lead single from her upcoming album, Endless Summer Vacation. Now that the track is out, one thing has become immediately clear: “Flowers” appears very much inspired by a Bruno Mars song, which could have something to do with Cyrus’ ex-husband Liam Hemsworth.

On the chorus, Cyrus sings, “I can buy myself flowers / Write my name in sand / Talk to myself for hours, yeah / Say things you don’t understand / I can take myself dancing, yeah / I can hold my own hand / Yeah, I can love me better than you can.” That appears to be an alternate take of Mars’ “When I Was Your Man” chorus, on which he sings, “I should’ve bought you flowers / And held your hand / Should’a gave you all my hours / When I had the chance / Take you to every party / ‘Cause all you wanted to do was dance / Now my baby’s dancin’ / But she’s dancin’ with another man.”

Furthermore, it appears Hemsworth once dedicated the Mars song to Cyrus. That seems to be unconfirmed, but whatever the case, Cyrus did release the song on Hemsworth’s birthday (January 13), so there’s at least that connection. (Technically, “Flowers” came out at 7 p.m. ET on January 12 in the US, but in Hemsworth’s native Australia, it was 11 p.m. on the 13th.)

Check out some fan reactions to the song below.

Endless Summer Vacation is out 3/10 via Columbia Records. Pre-save it here.

Bruno Mars is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Each week our staff of film and TV experts surveys the entertainment landscape to select the ten best new/newish shows available for you to stream at home. We put a lot of thought into our selections, and our debates on what to include and what not to include can sometimes get a little heated and feelings may get hurt, but so be it, this is an important service for you, our readers. With that said, here are our selections for this week.

Get more streaming recommendations with our weekly What To Watch newsletter.

10. Doom Patrol (HBO Max)

DOOM
HBO

Brendan Fraser’s back as the eternally frustrated disembodied brain inside of a robotic body. It is his finest performance (yes yes, we know there’s Oscar chatter elsewhere), and he’s backed up by Diane Guerrero as many iterations of Crazy Jane, along with Matt Bomer as Negative Man, April Bowlby as Elasi-Girl, and Jovian Wade as Cyborg. DC’s misfit superheroes are facing what might be certain doom, but at least some of them other than Fraser’s Cliff got to have a collective orgasm already.

Watch it on HBO Max

9. Velma (HBO Max)

VELMA
HBO

Mindy Kaling’s Velma series is sure to stir up strong reactions, given that she’s giving a different take on the beloved Scooby Doo gang, and one that promises to be for adults. Kaling voices Velma, who is South Asian, and there’s not much Scooby in the cards for this show. The protagonist does, however, have an evidence board that would make Charlie Day proud, and Constance Wu picks up the role of Daphne. Sam Richardson steps in as Shaggy, and Glenn Howerton takes on the typically dense role of Fred.

Watch it on HBO Max

8. Star Wars: The Bad Batch (Disney Plus)

BATCH
DISNEY

The animated series that focuses on a crew of mutated clone troopers doing missions after the events of the Clone Wars returns for a second season. If you need your Star Wars fix before The Mandolorian returns or just want to see a cartoon about mercenaries, this might be just the thing for you.

Watch it on Disney+

7. BMF (Starz)

BMF
STARZ

Returning to Starz for a second season in 2023, BMF tells the kind of true story of two brothers building a massive criminal organization in 1980s Detroit. It counts 50 Cent as a producer, which extends the relationship between the network and one of the forces behind the Power juggernaut, which is itself becoming a whole extended universe now. If you’re looking for a crime story with a killer soundtrack and some very excellent coats, this might be your new favorite show.

Watch it on Starz

6. Copenhagen Cowboy (Netflix)

COWBOY
NETFLIX

Nicolas Winding Refn, the director who brought Drive and Too Old to Die Young to audiences around the world, is back once again, this time on Netflix, with a Danish-language series about a renegade seeking vengeance against her nemesis in a semi-fictional and partially supernatural version of Copenhagen. That… might sound like a lot. But the John Wick franchise started with a dude’s dog dying and that dude is still on a worldwide revenge tour three movies later. Dip your toe in and see how it feels. Vengeance is a universal language.

Watch it on Netflix

5. Paul T. Goldman (Peacock)

GOLDMAN
PEACOCK

So we have a weirdo new show that is kind of like The Rehearsal, sort of, from Jason Woliner, who was one of the brains behind the Borat movie and the Human Giant sketch show. It’s all very hard to explain. Here is a pretty decent crack at doing so anyway. If you’re in the mood for a potentially awkward and experimental comedy that might melt your brain a little bit, here you go.

Watch it on Peacock

4. Abbott Elementary (Hulu)

abbott elementary
abc

The first season of Abbott Elementary was a feel-good network sitcom that caught a massive wave of popularity and won a bunch of Emmys in a time when feel-good network sitcoms are kind of not supposed to do that. Credit for this goes to creator and star Quinta Brunson, who realized that an underfunded inner-city public school was exactly the right place to show us people with good hearts working inside a system that can be cold. Kind of like Parks and Recreation but in Philadelphia. The second season is underway and does not appear to be missing a beat. This is basically a miracle, all around.

Watch it on Hulu

3. Servant (Apple TV Plus)

SERVANT
APPLE

M. Night Shyamalan’s movies might be hit-and-miss, but this series has stayed consistent in delivering upon well-laid arcs full of suspense and mysteries that don’t (at least not yet) carry too much in the “gotcha” realm. Those punches are why a lot of people gave up on Shyamalan’s films sometime around The Village and haven’t looked back, but shows an altogether different creature. Perhaps he should have been showrunning all along? The painstakingly crafted storytelling of this series (which began with a Philly couple attempting to overcome the loss of their infant) takes us miles away from the quick wrap-ups of his usual fare, and the fourth season will soon show if the writing can truly overcome the Shyamalan-ending curveball curse. Fingers crossed.

Watch it on Apple TV Plus

2. Kaleidoscope (Netflix)

KALEODOSCOPE
NETFLIX

Well, it’s a heist show starring Giancarlo Esposito, which is already a pretty good start. And it’s got a different structure, where you can — in theory — watch every episode other than the finale in any order you want, which could change your interpretation of the things you’re watching and give you a different experience from someone else who watches it in a different order. That’s kind of interesting. Does it all work? Maybe? Kind of? Your mileage will probably vary. But it’s worth checking out just for the novelty of it all.

Watch it on Netflix

1. The Last of Us (HBO Max)

TLOU
HBO

One of the most popular video games of all-time comes to HBO as a television series, with Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal leading the cast on a post-apocalyptic trek through a harsh landscape filled with horrors. The reviews are really good. HBO gave it the primo Sunday night slot it reserved for shows like Game of Thrones and Succession. It’s led by Craig Mazin, who also produced Chernobyl, another gripping watch about the potential end of the world. There is a lot to be excited about here. Dive in so you know what your cool friends are talking about.

10. (tie) Enola Holmes 2 (Netflix)

ENOLA
NETFLIX

Thank goodness Henry Cavill didn’t sign on to play Superman again before filming this sequel, or there’d be another The Witcher-esque switcheroo in the works. Cavill is back, but more importantly, Millie Bobbie Brown returns as the sassy younger sister of Sherlock Holmes. One of the bigger plot finds roots in the real-life Bryant & May match factory atrocities, but somehow, the overall mood stays light. Enola sets up her own detective shingle and goes undercover, so you can only imagine what hijinks will ensue. Watch it on Netflix.

10. (tie) Weird: The Al Yankovic Story (The Roku Channel)

WEIRD
ROKU

Weird: The Al Yankovic Story stars Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe as “Weird Al” Yankovic, obviously. The fake biopic depicts the world’s premier polka-loving pop song parodist as a hard-drinking sex maniac, obviously. It also stars Evan Rachel Wood as Madonna, Quinta Brunson as Oprah Winfrey, and Rainn Wilson as Dr. Demento, obviously. Should you watch Weird: The Al Yankovic Story this weekend on the Roku Channel? Obviously.

9. Sick (Peacock)

SICK
PEACOCK

A group of friends decides to hunker down during the COVID-19 lockdown together at nice little lake house and… wait a second. This sounds like the plot of a horror movie. Which makes sense because… it is the plot of a horror movie. This horror movie. The Blumhouse team is at it again, with a slasher on the loose and a deadly virus in the air and about four other things to be terrified of. Maybe there’s a monster in the lake, too. Who knows? Only one way to find out… Watch it on Peacock.

8. Disenchanted (Disney Plus)

DISENCHANTED
DISNEY

Amy Adams returns in her breakout role, but she’s a princess who actually isn’t having as much fun as she imagined would be the case. Giselle is still married to Robert (Patrick Dempsey), and they’re still searching for their fairy tale. Maya Rudolph climbs onboard for a semi-evil role as a villain of suburbia, and this is all very G-rated material again because c’mon, Disney. The story will be as charming as always, but the real attraction is James Marsden’s returning Idiot Prince. Basically, I just want the Idiot Prince to get plowed down at every opportunity again. Watch it on Disney Plus.

7. Bullet Train (Netflix)

Bullet Train
Sony

Bullet Train is chaos. Bloody, funny, frivolous, superficial chaos. Nothing and everything happens in this film about a group of assassins all vying for a briefcase that may just offer the biggest payload of their respective careers thus far. It’s jam-packed with action — the fast-paced, tightly-choreographed kind that gives you whiplash if you stare too long – and with a cast of A-listers, the best of which being Aaron-Taylor Johnson and Brian Tyree Henry, who play a pair of Brit brothers constantly bickering on the job. It’s got enough twists and surprises to keep you entertained plus Brad Pitt unironically sporting a bucket hat for its two-hour runtime. It’s just plain fun. We wish there were more movies like it out there. Watch it on Netflix.

6. White Noise (Netflix)

NOISE
NETFLIX

Noah Baumbach’s latest movie has a loaded cast (Adam Driver! Greta Gerwig! Don Cheadle! Andre 3000!) and a wild premise (a toxic cloud forcing a college professor and his family to flee their home town) and all the kind of things you would expect from a phrase like “Noah Baumbach movie” (Comedy! Drama! Comedy and drama!). It’s all based on a Don DeLillo novel from 1985 and it’s right there on a streaming service you probably have. If this all sounds like your deal… well, get in there. Watch it on Netflix.

5. Pinocchio (Netflix)

Pinocchio
Netflix

Guillermo del Toro made a stop-action version of the classic “liar puppet becomes a real boy” story and guess what: it’s great! Smart people are saying it’s the best Pinocchio since the first one, which is both high praise and a decently sick burn on the other version that just came out a few months ago. Either way! Feels like a fun one to watch with the family over the holidays. It’s definitely better than, like, talking. No one wants to do that. Let the adorable wooden puppet fill the air with his sweet journey toward being a human. Watch it on Netflix.

4. The Banshees of Inisherin (HBO Max)

BANSHEES
SEARCHLIGHT

In Bruges hive assemble for this reteaming of writer/director Martin McDonagh and stars Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson. More sparse, but no less brilliant in its well-chosen dialogue than the 2008 crime comedy classic, Banshees Of Inisherin is a beautifully told tale of loneliness, the hazards of both bluntness and naivete, and what happens when a friendship crashes into the rocky shores. Set on an island near Ireland 100 years ago, the film is a slow burn in every sense of the term with tough love, hard feelings, and severed digits scattered all over the place. Things never do stay the same for as long as you need them to, do they? What a gutting treasure of a movie. Watch it on HBO Max.

3. Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (Netflix)

GLASS
NETFLIX

Daniel Craig returns as Benoit Blanc with a whole new cast of potential murdermakers to relish. Dave Bautista as a scantily clad social media sensation is only one of the ensemble highlights, and the endless buffet of cameos can not be stopped, nor do the story’s twists feel gratuitous or implausible. Instead, the film dances through mischief and swings bigger and better with a series of bewitching wrinkles and knots that will make you forgive the runtime. In fact, you’ll barely notice the passage of time because this film is fun and cerebral and makes perfect sense when all is revealed. Also, one of the greatest TV murder detectives in history makes a (bittersweet) cameo, for crying out loud. Netflix really should have run with a longer theatrical window, but at least it’s streaming for Christmas. Watch it on Netflix.

2. Top Gun: Maverick (Paramount Plus)

Tom Cruise Top Gun Maverick
Paramount

That loud whooshing sound you heard this summer could have been one of two things: the sound of jet engines blasting out of movie theaters around the country or the sound of massive crowds rushing into and out of those same theaters to hear those jet engines in Top Gun: Maverick. The sequel to the original movie — released over 35 years later, which is kind of wild — picks up right where the first left off, in spirit if not chronology, with Tom Cruise and a bunch of new hotshot pilots (Miles Teller and Glen Powell leading the way) taking back to the skies and talking trash and sometimes riding motorcycles. It is a lot of fun and better than it has any right to be and one of the first real-deal, must-see movie theater movies we’ve had in a while. It was nice to get one of those again. Let’s do it again in another 35 years when Tom Cruise is… uh, 95 years old. He’ll probably still be up for it. You will, too. Don’t lie. Watch it on Paramount Plus.

1. The Menu (HBO Max)

MENU
HBO

A horror-comedy set on an island where a fancy young couple has traveled to dine at a world-class restaurant led by a world-class chef who may have other things in store for them beyond your standard filets and Caesar salads. It’s… weird. But also surprisingly fun. Ralph Fiennes and Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult are out there — apologies for this awful pun but it had to be done — making a meal of it all. In a good way. Definitely in a better way than their characters do. It’s a good time. Just maybe don’t start it before dinner. Watch it on HBO Max.

Who Did Kanye West Reportedly Marry?

Apparently, Kanye West has found himself a new Mrs. West. Just months after finalizing his divorce from reality TV star Kim Kardashian, according to TMZ, the rapper and fashion designer tied the knot in a secret ceremony earlier this week. While West has escaped the public eye since his series of controversial statements, many are confused at the idea of him being a married man yet again, as it’s not clear with whom he has been romantically linked as of late. So, who is West’s mystery bride?

In TMZ’s reporting, the alleged West’s new better half is none other than a former Yeezy employee, Bianca Censori. Although Adidas has long since moved on from its partnership with West, relaunching its Adidas 350 V2 Granites without the Yeezy branding this month, it seems like West took something special for himself, too: a partner. On Censori’s LinkedIn page, she listed her role at Yeezy to be “Head of Architecture,” where she’s been employed since November 2020.

There isn’t a record of a marriage certificate, but West has been spotted wearing a new wedding band. Also, he seemingly hinted at their relationship last month on an unnamed track referred to as “Censori Overload” on which he raps, “The Bible said I can’t have any more sex ’til marriage.”

Knowing West’s love for telling his own story, it is only a matter of time before he shares the big news.

Meek Mill Has Been Pardoned By The Philadelphia Governor: ‘I’m Taking Things Really Far From Being A Trench Baby’

Earlier this week, Meek Mill teamed up with Kevin Hart and Michael Rubin to donate $7 million to aid Philadelphia private schools through their non-profit organization Reform Alliance. This followed Mill posting bail for incarcerated women in the same Pennsylvania city so they could spend the holidays with their families.

So it’s great news that the rapper who frequently partakes in good deeds has shared that he’s been pardoned by the Philadelphia governor 15 years after he was convicted on drug and weapons charges. He posted a picture of the redacted document on Instagram with the caption: “Thankyall. I’m only gone do more for my community on God! #newlevelsunlocked.” The comments are full of congratulations and excitement for what he’ll do next.

The pardon reads: “Therefore, know ye that in consideration of the premises and by virtue of the authority vested in me by the [redacted] said Robert R. Williams (Alias: Meek Mill) born on May 6, 1987, identified [redacted]… crime(s) whereof he was convicted as aforesaid, and he is thereby fully pardoned [redacted].”

On Twitter, he wrote “I got pardoned today…, I’m taking things really far from being a trench baby!”

Meek Mill is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Pamela Anderson Hasn’t Watched Her Stolen Sex Tape With Tommy Lee ‘To This Day’

In the upcoming documentary Pamela, a love story, actress and model Pamela Anderson declares that she’s going to “take control of the narrative for the first time.” That includes the conversation surrounding her sex tape with ex-husband Tommy Lee, as chronicled in Hulu’s Pam and Tommy.

In an interview with CBS News Sunday Morning host Jim Axelrod ahead of Pamela, a love story hitting Netflix, Anderson was asked what she wants people to “understand” about the tape. “That it was stolen property, that it was two crazy naked people in love,” she answered. “I mean, we were naked all the time and filming each other and being silly, but those tapes were not meant for anybody else to see.” Anderson added that she hasn’t seen the tape “to this day. It was very hurtful.” She also didn’t watch Pam and Tommy, and “never [will],” a source said. “Not even years from now. Not even the trailer.”

You can watch an excerpt from the interview below.

Here’s more on Pamela, a love story: “In her own words, through personal video and diaries, Pamela Anderson shares the story of her rise to fame, rocky romances and infamous sex tape scandal. Pamela Anderson defined a decade. Now she will define herself.”

Pamela, a love story, which will presumably not feature a talking penis voiced by Jason Mantzoukas, premieres on Netflix on January 31.

Kanye West Reportedly Got Married To A Yeezy Architectural Designer

Well, it appears that after his and Kim Kardashian’s divorce, Kanye West is once again a married man: TMZ reports that according to “sources connected to the couple,” he and a woman named Bianca Censori recently had a “secret wedding.”

The two apparently had a wedding ceremony but have yet to file a marriage certificate, which would mean the two are not yet legally married. Still, though, earlier this week, Ye and Censori were seen at the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills and West was wearing a wedding ring.

Censori’s LinkedIn page lists her as “Head of Architecture at YEEZY” and notes she’s worked as an “Architectural Designer” at Yeezy since November 2020. It also indicates she earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University Of Melbourne in 2017 before getting her Master of Architecture degree from the same school in 2020. In 2013, founded a jewellery company called Nylons Jewellery.

Last month, West shared a song that wasn’t given an official title but has been referred to as “Censori Overload” due to the message Ye shared alongside it: “Censori overload. The variable epitope library from the antigen promotes an immune response in the body.” On the track, he raps, “The Bible said I can’t have anymore sex ’til marriage.”
