Cher And Kelly Clarkson Recalled Hazy Visits To Willie Nelson’s Famous Tour Bus: ‘When You Walked Out, You Were Definitely Hungry’

As a late Christmas gift, NBC shared some additional clips from earlier this month, when pop icon Cher made an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show. During her appearance, Cher showed her four-piece Decades Eau de Parfum Collection, with scents representing each decade.

When Cher showed host Kelly Clarkson the perfumes, the two began to share stories of some blazing encounters with country legend Willie Nelson.

“I was shocked the ‘70s didn’t smell like marijuana,” Clarkson told Cher of her “Me” decade-themed scent. “I was like, oh, this one will obviously smell like Willie Nelson’s bus.”

“Oh my God, I’ve been on Willie Nelson’s bus, it smells exactly like marijuana,” Cher responded, laughing.

Clarkson responded with her own story of Willie Nelson’s bus, saying, “I went on Willie Nelson’s bus and I got a contact high.”

“It was a terrible old bus,” Cher added. “But he was great. And just… drugs everywhere.”

Though Clarkson said she only felt a slight high, she remembers having the munchies after her visit to Nelson.

“When you walked out, you were definitely hungry,” Clarkson said.

Ryan Reynolds Got Fellow Canadian Icons Nickelback To Cover A Song From His Movie ‘Spirited’

Ryan Reynolds, Will Ferrell, and Octavia Spencer put their stamp on this holiday season with Spirited, their new Christmas Carol-inspired movie that debuted on Apple TV+ on November 11. Just before Christmas itself came and went, Reynolds celebrated the movie’s success with help from another famed Canadian cultural export: Nickelback, who he recruited to cover the song “Unredeemable” from the movie.

In the video shared on December 23, Reynolds introduces the performance with a simple self-shot phone video in which he explains, “Hi there. Will , Octavia, and I want to thank everyone who’s made Spirited the most-watched movie ever on Apple TV+. That’s crazy. A turning point in our film is the song ‘Unredeemable.’ It’s an emotional anthem about whether humanity can overcome our mistakes, and I hope we can. So, merry Christmas, everyone, and let’s be kind to each other. Also, ladies and gentlemen: Nickelback.”

From there, the band emerges and performs the song (their cover is dubbed “Unredeemable (Redeemable Version)”) in a performance space flooded with hanging lights. Their rendition is delivered in their signature alternative rock, gruff-voiced style that’s unmistakably Nickelback. At the very end, Chad Kroeger nods to the band’s classic “Photograph” video by holding up and pointing to a framed picture of Reynolds and Ferrell.

Kim Kardashian Tearfully Described Co-Parenting With Kanye West As ‘Really F*cking Hard’

To put it lightly, things have been a little rocky for Kanye West over the past few months, from antisemitic comments to reports of his inappropriate conduct with Adidas and Yeezy employees. Through it all, Ye and Kim Kardashian have been co-parenting their children together, a process that Kardashian now says has been difficult.

Kardashian is the guest on a new Angie Martinez IRL Podcast episode shared yesterday (December 26). In it, Kardashian, on the verge of tears, spoke about the challenges of co-parenting and navigating West’s controversies with her children, saying (as ET notes):

“It’s hard. Sh*t like co-parenting, it’s really f*cking hard. I had the best dad. And I had the best memories and the greatest experience. And that’s all I want for my kids. As long as they can have that, that’s what I want for them. So, if they don’t know things that are being said, or what’s happening in the world, why would I ever bring that energy to them? That’s real heavy, heavy grown-up sh*t. And they’re not ready to deal with it, you know? When they are, we’ll have those conversations. And I’ll be so prepared. But until then, I’ll do anything to keep their life as normal as possible.”

Unknown Mortal Orchestra Delivered A Trippy New Song ‘SB-10’ For Their Annual Christmas Installment

There are only a few things in life that are guaranteed. On that short list of life’s promises, taxes, death, and a mega-Christmas mix from the New Zealand psychedelic rock band, Unknown Mortal Orchestra (UMO). While many music lovers reach for the ‘Queen of Christmas‘ Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” others unlocked their holiday spirit by journeying down the rabbit hole of indie rock. That’s where UMO comes into play.

Comprised of guitarist Ruban Nielson, bassist Jake Portrait, and drummer Kody Nielson, UMO’s annual Christmas mega-mix tradition is slowly becoming a staple in indie rock. Last year, the group delivered “SB-09,” a tame borderline lo-fi instrumental. However, this year, on “SB-10,” pulled out all the stops for the 42-minute jam session.

The song is a trippy sonic journey through the elements in which the listener aimlessly wonders. From soft rock, indie, and EDM, to experimental, “SB-10” has a little bit of everything for everybody. There aren’t many songs you can name that feature both a synthesizer and a maraca. Without missing a beat, guitarist Ruban leads bassist Jake to push their instruments to the outskirts of each explored genre as Kody anchors the group firmly down in rock music’s steady passing.

While other musicians are set on being rigid about preserving a genre’s purity, Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s ambient-like fluidity on “SB-10” has just consciously or unconsciously propelled rock into the future.

Offset Was Presented With The Key To Gwinnett County In His Hometown of Lawrenceville, Georgia

For years, rapper Offset (real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus) screamed his north Atlanta pride to anyone who’d listen. On each song he recorded as part of the hip-hop trio the Migos, the group would yell, ‘Nawf,’ a short-handed slang term for Atlanta’s north side. Finally, after nearly a decade and a half, his hometown is returning the love.

During his inaugural Offset Toy Giveaway Day (on December 23), the “54321” rapper was surprised by his hometown of Lawrenceville’s mayor David Still and other Gwinnett County officials while giving gifts to the children residents for Christmas. In between present exchanges, Mayor Still and other officials joined the rapper onstage to present him with a key to the county.

The rapper opened his speech by thanking all in attendance for the role they’ve played in his career, saying, “I just wanted to give back to my community. Thanks to all the kids for always supporting me and always listening to me and always just being there for me, you know,” but adding, “Y’all hold me up. You know we’ve been going through a tough time, but God is good.”

This year has undoubtedly been a tough one for the father of six. After losing his cousin and former groupmate, Takeoff, last month, he began battling a deep depression which led him to step away from music. Although Offset has returned to the public eye with a few performances, he admits he still has a long road to travel on his healing journey.

Offset also took to Instagram to thank those who couldn’t attend the ceremony, “I’m going to make sure that I do more for my community, not just holidays or a one-time thing I want to be able to change it. Thank God for blessing me to be able to bless others. It’s not just a gift. It’s help to my side the NAWF be a better place.”

Lawrenceville, a suburb of Atlanta, is located just about 30 miles north of the city’s downtown district, shaping Offset’s entertainment interest from his short career as a professional dancer and his eventual pursuit of music.

Cordae’s TED Talk About ‘Hi-Level Mentality’ Was The Most Popular Of 2022

In June, rapper Cordae gave a TED Talk about “Hi-Level mentality,” named after his label. “I know what you’re thinking,” he said. “What does a 24-year-old rapper possibly have to say during a TED Talk? Like, ‘Who cares what Ja Rule thinks,’ you know?”

With humor and intellect, he gave a powerful speech. His TED Talk was actually so powerful that it was the series’ most popular one of the year, according to their website. Titled “How a ‘Hi Level’ mindset helps you realize your potential,” it received almost five million views in six months.

He is often motivational; he once discussed losing 35 pounds for a magazine cover. “I had to do a GQ cover,” he explained. “I’m speaking my truth. I had to do a GQ cover and was like, ‘Man, if I don’t get in shape to do a GQ cover, what ever in life is gonna motivate you to get in shape?’”

He added, “When you look good, you feel good; when you feel good, you do good; and when you do good, they pay good. That’s why it’s important to feel good.”

Serge Ibaka Ripped Kendrick Perkins For ‘Spreading Misinformation’ After Joking About His Age

ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins seemingly has a knack for bothering current NBA players. Perhaps most prominently, Draymond Green took a victory lap around Perkins after winning the 2022 title with the Golden State Warriors, and there are numerous instances of Perkins’ errant takes making the rounds. On Monday, things got personal with Perkins and a former teammate, Serge Ibaka, when Perkins insinuated Ibaka may have lied about his age and Ibaka took great offense.

Immediately after Ibaka’s pushback to Perkins’ careless comments, Perkins released a trio of responses, first with a direct reply, then a quote tweet, followed by a tweet aimed directly to Ibaka.

This seems to be a consistent playbook for Perkins, who ratcheted up the discourse with these responses. However, Ibaka wasn’t done after one tweet, instead releasing a six-tweet thread.

The full thread is certainly worth reading, with Ibaka saying Perkins’ comments were “disrespectful to many Africans who have to live with that unfounded accusation,” and also saying “you cheated and didn’t respect the game.” Ibaka then took it to a different place, saying Perkins had broken “the locker room code” with previous comments on Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, saying Perkins was “not a locker room leader” and Perkins “went too far” with his actions.

It isn’t often that this kind of beef escalates in this fashion between former teammates, and Ibaka certainly laid his thoughts out in complete fashion. For now, Perkins has not further responded, but it is easy to see why Ibaka was so offended here, and Perkins didn’t do any favors with his defensive posture.

Trump Claimed He’s ‘Clairvoyant’ In A Predictably Unhinged Christmas Day Post, Because Sure, Why Not

For most, even the non-religious, Christmas Day is a chance for rest and relaxation. Not so for the world’s most famous failed blogger. While sitting president Joe Biden tweeted a message of unity, imploring both the nation’s main parties to see each other as “fellow Americans,” his predecessor took a different tack. Not only did Donald Trump wish a sarcastic Merry Christmas to his many enemies, but he also made the bold claim that he was a mystical soothsayer.

“Merry Christmas to EVERYONE,” Trump posted, “including the Radical Left Marxists that are destroying our Country, the Federal Bureau of Investigation that is illegally coercing & paying Social and LameStream Media to push for a mentally disable Democrat over the Brilliant, Clairvoyant, and USA LOVING Donald J. Trump, and, of course, The Department of Injustice, which appointed a Special ‘Prosecutor’ who, together with his wife and family, HATES ‘Trump’ more than any other person on earth.” He concluded with a bit of gear shift, writing, “LOVE TO ALL!”

There’s a lot going on in the former president’s “Truth”: the dense run-on sentence, the typical random capitalizations and air quotes, the tall claims that may have little foundation in, well, truth. An overwhelmed reader might not even catch the bit about him being “clairvoyant.” Trump already exhausted most of the post with various tirades and accusations, so he might not have had time to explain how he’d ever proven capable to seeing the future. Indeed, his rallies — which he hasn’t held since he was hit with a flurry of bad news, all of it brought on by himself — tend to end with him looking not at the future but at the present, which he paints as downright post-apocalyptic.

If Trump is clairvoyant about anything, it’s likely about the way he might not ever face any comeuppance for his many crimes. After all, he’s spent his life weaseling out of responsibility. But who knows? Maybe this time will actually be different.

Kris Floyd Released His Surprise ‘X-Pack’ EP As A Christmas Gift To His Fans

Kris Floyd celebrated Christmas last night by releasing a surprise EP: The rising Puerto Rican singer-songwriter dropped four new tracks on his X-Pack EP.

Floyd is part of Tainy’s creative group Neon16 that is behind many of Latin music’s biggest songs. Last year, Floyd co-wrote the hits on Selena Gomez‘s Revelación EP like “De Una Vez” and “Baila Conmigo” featuring Rauw Alejandro. Floyd also made his debut with his La Última Vez Que Me Viste EP.

To celebrate Christmas, Floyd dropped his X-Pack EP through Soundcloud. “I’m releasing an EP only on Soundcloud to remember how it was before,” he wrote in his Instagram Stories.

The cover art features an action figure of WWE wrestler X-Pac. Floyd dabbles in Latin trap in the swaggering “Mööd Swing$” and knockout track “Que Pa$ol.”

Floyd switches between singing with his soulful voice and spitting bars in the atmospheric “Fūdo.” He also embraces reggaeton music in his soaring love song “Tayya.” Throughout the EP, Floyd flexes his sensual flow with his fierce rhymes that can pack a punch.

Most of the EP was produced by Floyd’s Neon16 cohort Jota Rosa. Rosa featured Floyd on his recent hits like “Como Ñengo” alongside Feid and “De Pasajero” with Young Miko and Chanell.
