What Does Diddy’s New Baby Look Like?

Diddy recently welcomed a new child, Love Sean Combs, with a woman named Dana Tran. The news shocked many, as the rap mogul had seemingly been in a relationship with City Girls’ Yung Miami.

He spent the holidays with Tran and his new daughter it seems, as he posted the first images of Love to his Instagram.

“Baby Love,” Diddy captioned the cute pics of her in a car seat and hugging him.

He also uploaded some snaps of his entire family celebrating together, as he has multiple older children. Everyone in the photo — except baby Love — donned matching striped pajamas and Santa hats. “Merry Christmas from my family to yours! LOVE,” he wrote.

Diddy previously announced the birth of his daughter on December 10. “I’m so blessed to welcome my baby girl Love Sean Combs to the world. Mama Combs, Quincy, Justin, Christian, Chance, D’Lila, Jessie and myself all love you so much! God is the Greatest!”

Following Diddy’s announcement, fans and others in the rap industry had a LOT of thoughts. One of those was DJ Akademiks, who got in a heated social media debate with Yung Miami, as she denied being Diddy’s side chick. It drew so much attention that the new father himself had to step in.

“@yungmiami305 is not my side chick,” Diddy wrote. “Never has been, never will be. She’s very important and special to me, and I don’t play about my Shawty Wop. I don’t discuss things on the internet and I will not start today.”

Social Media Recluse Kendrick Lamar Explained Why He’s Not Particularly Active Online

These days, musicians (and celebrities more broadly) use social media as an easy way to connect with their fans and promote their work. Kendrick Lamar, though, isn’t exactly posting on Instagram and Twitter every day: His Instagram is currently blank and his tweets are mostly dry promotions of his creative output. Online dispatches from the rapper are rare, and now he has offered some insight into why that is.

In a recent New York Times interview, he explained, “My social media, most of the time, is completely off, because I know, like… I can easily smell my own sh*t. I know. […] Like, I’m not one of those dudes that be like, ‘Oh, yeah, I know how good I am,’ but I also know the reason why I’m so good is because God’s blessed me with the talent to execute on the talent, and the moment that you start getting lost in your ego, that’s when you start going down.”

On that note, Lamar also cited collaborator Dave Free as somebody whose honestly has helped him develop and succeed as a creator, saying, “What I know for sure is we have this unconditional love to allow each other to grow. I always allowed him to have his room to grow, and he always allowed me to have room to grow in mine.”

Courtney Love Didn’t Kill Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain, She Insists On A Song That Was Cut From Her Upcoming Album

For years now, there have been conspiracy theories that Courtney Love is somehow responsible for the death of her late husband, Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain. Now, Love has addressed that on a new song, although it may be a while before we get to hear it.

Love discussed her upcoming solo album on the WTF With Marc Maron podcast and noted a song she wrote that won’t appear on the project is called “Justice For Kurt.” The tune, which Love called an “ear worm,” addresses the long-running rumors that she is responsible for Cobain’s death. Love said, “By the way it’s still percolating that I’m this psychopath that killed him. […] I wrote the song but I can’t put the song on the record… the other songs are way too good to ruin it with two minutes and twenty four seconds of me being sassy.”

While the track won’t be on the album, she did say it will come out “eight months after” the project drops.

Elsewhere in the episode, Love heaped praise on Lana Del Rey, noting, “Lana and Kurt are the only two true musical geniuses I’ve ever known. […] She’s got the integrity that Kurt had. The only two people I know that I can say… by the way, Stipe? Bono? Yes, these are people that I know and love. Billie Joe, sure. But Lana? She’s got a magic thing. And she’s not even f*cked up!”

Luka Doncic Had 60 Points, 21 Rebounds, And 10 Assists In A Basketball Game

You clicked on the headline knowing this but I really want to stress it as often as possible: Luka Doncic, in an NBA basketball game on Tuesday night between the Dallas Mavericks and the New York Knicks, scored 60 points, reeled in 21 rebounds, and doled out 10 assists. The fact that the Mavs beat the Knicks, 126-121, in a remarkable game where some Doncic magic forced overtime after Dallas trailed by nine points with 33.9 seconds left almost seems secondary to the fact that he had 60 points and 21 rebounds and 10 assists in a game in the best basketball league in the entire world.

Doncic, unsurprisingly, achieved an unprecedented statline on the night. Only Wilt Chamberlain (on two occasions) and Elgin Baylor had 50 points and 20 rebounds in a triple-double. Only James Harden had a 60-point triple-double. Never before in NBA history has a player hit 60 points and 20 boards in a single game until now.

After the game, Doncic appeared to be in a pretty good mood, even though he was pretty tired.

“I’m tired as hell,” Doncic said. “I need a recovery beer.”

Doncic did all of this in 47 minutes of work, only turned it over four times, and shot 21-for-31 from the field. He only made two of his six attempts from behind the three-point line. He is pretty good!

Luka Doncic Capped Off An Insane Mavericks Comeback By Dramatically Forcing Overtime Against The Knicks

The Dallas Mavericks trailed the New York Knicks with 33.2 seconds left by nine points after a pair of made free throws by Miles McBride. Fast forward to the end of those 33.2 seconds and the two teams were tied thanks to an insane 12-3 run down the stretch by Dallas, which was spearheaded by Luka Doncic scoring a career-high and franchise-best 53 points by the time the two teams went to overtime.

Doncic had all those points in a triple-double effort, as he pitched in 18 rebounds and 10 assists by the end of regulation.

Modest Mouse Drummer Jeremiah Green Was Diagnosed With Stage 4 Cancer

Modest Mouse spent most of this month and last month celebrating the 25th anniversary of The Lonesome Crowded West. After invigorating old-head fans with the fervent songs from that classic sophomore LP with a tour, they’ve shared the devastating news that drummer Jeremiah Green has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.

Green’s mother Carol Namatame made a Facebook post for the holidays, writing, “Please send healing vibes for my son, Jeremiah Green, who is battling stage 4 cancer. He’s is so strong and so brave and hanging in there!”

Radio host Marco Collins made a Facebook post as well. He clarified that Green had to pull out of the Lonesome Crowded West tour because of chemotherapy. “Despite having a stage 4 diagnosis, his prognosis is good! Also his oncologist is a big MM fan (so he’s got that in his corner!),” Collins wrote. “Sending him nothing but love & healing energy! Get well buddy. We’re all pulling for you!”

Last month, the members of Modest Mouse told Uproxx about the experience of working on The Lonesome Crowded West. Green said, “We wanted to sound like the west. I guess they didn’t have electric guitars back in the day. And they didn’t have trap kits. There was something I was playing on that song, and Isaac [Brock] was like, ‘They didn’t have those.’ Maybe it was too many cymbals. It was like, ‘Native Americans didn’t play cymbals.’”

Ice Cube Opens Up About Tupac Saying He Wanted To Make Music Like N.W.A.

Ice Cube gets candid about meeting Tupac Shakur during his roadie days for Digital Underground in a recent interview. The rapper stopped by the People’s Party podcast to chat with host Talib Kweli, alongside other West Coast legends, Snoop Dogg, Too Short, and E-40, to talk about their OG supergroup, “MountWestmore.” During the chat, Cube shared that he met Shakur as a young, hungry rapper and that N.W.A heavily inspired him, and he even wanted to make music reflective of the music by Cube and the legendary rap group.

“He would always tell me like, you know, ‘This Digital sh*t is cool, man, but I want to do records like y’all.’” He said, “‘Cause where I live at, sh*t is f*cked up. You know what I’m saying? I want to talk about how the sh*t is.’”

Cube noted that he nudged the rapper to keep going and forge his path. He recalls that Shakur was a “fun dude with a lot of energy” and reminiscences on funny moments with the “California Love” rhymer.

The mature rapper also shared what it was like watching Shakur’s star rise before the later years of his career, which were steeped in controversy due to a series of events including several arrests, his involvement with Death Row Records, and the beefing with Biggie Smalls, which launched a regional war between the West and East coasts. The tension would come to a head, leading to the death of both Smalls and Shakur in quick succession.

Luka Doncic Made A Ridiculous Pass For A Wide Open Three Again

The list of people who are better at passing a basketball than Luka Doncic is very, very short. Doncic is an absolutely genius at using the attention that defenses place on him as a way to set up simple looks for his teammates. He’s shown off this ability time after time, and on Tuesday night against the New York Knicks, Doncic did that once again to set up one of the easiest looks that Reggie Bullock will ever get.

Doncic made his way into the paint and pump faked, which sent a pair of Knicks defenders into the air. Normally, this would lead to a player just going up for a layup and taking a very easy two points, but Doncic knew that Julius Randle — who was guarding Bullock in the corner — would respect his ability to make a layup and try to swat him from behind.

As such, Doncic decided to flick the ball out to a suddenly wide open Bullock. Because Bullock is a very good shooter and he was able to take a wide open corner three pointer in front of his own bench, this was basically like giving up a free three points, all because Luka Doncic is his teammate.

Drake and 21 Savage’s ‘Her Loss’ Reaches 1 Billion Streams On Spotify In Less Than Two Months

While Drake and 21’s Savage’s Her Loss has had its fair share of controversy, most notably because of its lyrical content and the significant delays that affected its initial October release date, it hasn’t stopped the listeners from rolling in. The duo’s recent project set a new record, earning nearly 1 billion streams on Spotify in less than two months, a new record for both rappers. The album debuted at No.1 on Billboard after being released on November 4.

The project has allowed 21 Savage to earn his first billion streams on the platform and Drake his 12th. Her Loss was a commercial success, debuting at No.1 on Billboard 200 and dethroning Taylor Swift’s Midnights, selling over 400k in its first week, making it the third-highest opening this year in music. But the achievements don’t end there — the album garnered Drake his 12th No.1 album and 21 his third.

During a November interview with SiriusXM Sound 42 last month, Drake proclaimed that Her Loss is one of the “greatest albums” he’s ever made and might even crack the Top 3 in his decorated catalog. “[Her Loss] is one of the greatest albums I ever made in my life,” he declared. “I said the other day, I think this is a clear entry into my Top 5 of my catalog — if not, Top 3.”

Additionally, the Canadian rapper has shared that this project is a part of a trilogyCertified Lover Boy, Honestly, Nevermind, and now Her Loss — which centers on the pitfalls of love and relationships and the disillusionment that comes with it.

Courtney Love Says Lana Del Rey And Kurt Cobain Are ‘The Only Two True Musical Geniuses’ She’s Ever Known

In October, Taylor Swift praised Lana Del Rey as “one of the best musical artists ever.” The next icon to praise her is Courtney Love, who went on the road in 2015 on The Endless Summer Tour.

In her appearance on Marc Maron’s WTF podcast, the Hole bandleader said, “Lana and Kurt are the only two true musical geniuses I’ve ever known. And by that, I mean they can Spielberg anything.” By “Spielberging” it, she was referring to Lana’s recitation of Howl by Allen Ginsberg and Nirvana’s cover of The Meat Puppets on MTV Unplugged In New York.

She continued, “She’s a genius, too. She’s got the integrity that Kurt had. The only two people I know that I can say… By the way, Stipe? Bono? Yes, these are people that I know and love. Billie Joe, sure. But Lana? She’s got a magic thing. And she’s not even f*cked up!”

She also talked about showing Joni Mitchell to the Born To Die performer. “She described a record she wanted to make to me, and I’m like, ‘Oh, you mean Hissing Of Summer Lawns,’ which, I don’t even like that record. She’s like, ‘What’s that?’ I’m like, ‘It’s a Joni Mitchell record.’ She’s like, ‘Who’s that?’” Love said she got Joni records for Lana, and then Lana “changed her f*cking whole thing.” She added, “My boomer rock critic friends are calling after Norman Rockwell, ‘Hey, your friend, she’s pretty good….’ And I said to her, ‘Welcome to the Thunderdome, Ms. Del Rey.’ Even Springsteen! He goes, ‘She’s our greatest songwriter.’”
