Over the last couple weeks, details about Indiana Jones 5 have finally been slinking out into the open. We now know it takes place (mostly) in 1969, amidst the space race. We now know there’s a digitally de-aged version of its 80-year-old star, Harrison Ford. We finally has a trailer and a title. There’s still a lot being kept under wraps, but there have been plenty of rumors about wacky directions it could take. Many of those have been wrong, and the film’s director is sick of it. (No, not Steven Spielberg, who sat this one out after directing the previous four.)

“One more time. No one is ‘taking over’ or replacing Indy or donning his hat, nor is he being ‘erased’ through some contrivance,” tweeted James Mangold, of Logan and Ford v Ferrari. “And he never was, not in any cut or script — but trolls will troll — that’s how they get their clicks.”

He continued: “And please don’t exhaust me [by] pointing out how once in a while a troll is ‘right.’ Even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then. All one has to do is look at set photos and interviews and you get enough info to make wild guesses about a movie plot.”

Mangold’s fury extended to certain press sites that actually disseminate said rumors. “The difference between trolling a-holes and everyone else is they [are] trying to make [money] off your feelings about other films and culture war politics,” Mangold railed. “They push controversial guesses as coming from ‘sources’ to gin up clicks. Let it go.”

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is set to be released on June 30, 2023, a few weeks before its star turns 81. It’s his last ride as Indy, after over four decades, and he’s been unusually emotional about hanging up the whip, so please don’t ruin his vibes by sharing baseless nonsense.

Coming into this season there was hope that Kawhi Leonard would be a regular part of the Clippers rotation coming off of a year-long absence to rehab a torn ACL suffered in the 2021 Playoffs, but after starting the season coming off the bench in the L.A. opener and then their third game of the season, he took an extended absence to deal with continued discomfort. A three-game stretch in November again brought hope he might get back into the fold as a regular contributor, but he missed the last six games with continued injury issues — with Paul George also being out for that stretch — as the Clippers went 2-4.

Monday night brought some good news, though, as both George and Leonard returned to the lineup in Charlotte and helped lead the Clippers to a much-needed win — albeit it was harder fought than L.A. might’ve hoped. The Clippers led early and looked in control, up nine at halftime, but apart in the third quarter to trail by six going into the fourth quarter. They’d battle back to take the lead but saw it evaporate again thanks to some hot shooting from the likes of Kelly Oubre and Terry Rozier, and had to call on their stars to make big plays late.

Leonard, after a fairly quiet night, came alive when L.A. needed him most, getting back-to-back buckets in the final minute, first on a putback to tie the game (off a great play by George to tap a loose ball back towards Leonard under the hoop) and then what ended up being the game-winner with 1.4 seconds to play on a vintage stepback from the midrange.

Clippers fans at this point are aware that Leonard is going to miss games here and there, but it would certainly be nice if he can avoid some of the long, extended absences he’s had to take to start this season so the now 14-11 Clippers can try to establish a real rhythm. We’ll see if that can happen and it’s hard not to be skeptical given how little he’s been on the court, but in the meantime it’s nice to at least see these flashes of vintage Kawhi late-game performance.

The internet is questioning whether or not Summer Walker has the sense that God gave her. Moments after posting her maternity photos, the singer shared that she was looking for a personal assistant. Given that the “Over It” singer is currently on maternity leave, the need for additional help around the house seemed natural. However, there were a few stipulations that sent people into a frenzy.

In the Instagram stories post, the soon-to-be mother of two wrote, “Need a male assistant. $2,000 a month. Based in Atlanta. Have to have a car. How to know how to build stuff. Preferably white or gay.”

But fans need not apply as the singer was sure to include the following words: “And doesn’t give af about who I am or my music. Just need your to come to work.”

Fans were relentless on Twitter in sharing their thoughts on the job listing. Some questioned whether or not the open call was legal due to Summer’s listed preferred candidate. Others had a laugh at the singer’s expense, rehashing rumors that Walker couldn’t afford quality help due to her current record deal.

Kirstie Alley, the screen legend who helped steer Cheers into a successful second act, has passed away after a battle with cancer. The actress was 71.

Even before she was cast as the new female lead on one of the ‘80s and ‘90s’ biggest hit TV shows, Alley was a major presence. She made her screen debut on television, albeit in an unexpected way: She was a game show contestant, appearing on both Match Game (which she won, twice) and Password Plus. She soon transitioned into acting, where she was able to cross cross between TV and film. Her big screen debut was as the Vulcan Saavik in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn. She soon grew in stature, appearing in the main cast of the hit Civil War miniseries North and South, with Patrick Swayze.

In 1987, Alley joined Cheers as Rebecca Howe, who takes over the Boston bar as its manager. When her stint began, Rebecca was no-nonsense, allergic to the advances of Ted Danson’s Sam Malone, who was still smarting from the departure of Shelley Long’s Diane Chambers. But over the next six seasons, cracks started to appear, revealing a hot mess who was unbelievably unlucky in love. The Rebecca Years aren’t as hallowed as the Diane Years, but they’re very good and, more importantly, distinctive in their own way.

Not far into Alley’s Cheers run she struck big at the movie box office, too: She starred, with John Travolta, in the talking baby comedy Look Who’s Talking, as well as its two sequels. After the show ended in 1993, she had the hit solo vehicle Veronica’s Closet, which ran from 1997 through 2000. She also had the short-lived TV Land comedy Kirstie, which reunited her with fellow Cheers alum Rhea Perlman. Alley didn’t stick to comedy; she did a number of TV films and miniseries as well, winning her second Emmy for 1994’s David’s Mother. She also appeared in two reality series: Fat Actress and Kirstie Alley’s Big Life.

In their social media post about her passing, Alley’s children wrote that she was “surrounded by her closest family and fought with great strength, leaving us with a certainty of her never-ending joy of living and whatever adventures lie ahead. As iconic as she was on screen, she was an even more amazing mother and grandmother.

“We are grateful to the incredible team of doctors and nurses at the Moffitt Cancer Center for their care,” the statement continued. “Our mother’s zest and passion for life, her children, grandchildren and her many animals, not to mention her eternal joy of creating, were unparalleled and leave us inspired to live life to the fullest just as she did. We thank you for your love and prayers and ask that you respect our privacy at this difficult time.”

Taylor Swift gets googled a lot, this much seems obvious. But now we have a relative idea of just how much she gets Googled, as well as the other most searched artists did in 2022. Swift topped out the 10 most googled artists of 2022 in America according to a study conducted by celebrity news site, CelebTattler.

It’s been a big year for Swift who released her latest album, Midnights last month and then announced the record-breaking Eras Tour. Heck, considering the ringer that Swifties (and bots) put the Ticketmaster platform through, searching for tickets to the Eras Tour alone might’ve been enough to make Swift the most googled artist of the year.

The study analyzed Google search data for a wide scope of popular artists since January 1st, 2022. It showed that Taylor Swift gets googled at an average rate of 2,100,400 times per month. Harry Styles narrowly came in second with 2,09,300 average monthly searches and the polarizing Kanye West was third overall with 2,050,100 average monthly searches.

Travis Scott was the second most searched rapper, while the rest of the top ten was rounded out by pop stars like Rihanna, Justin Bieber, and Dua Lipa. Check out the chart of the 10 most googled musicians in 2022 below.

John Bolton has never exactly been a charmer, but the hawkish frequent White House staffer has at least one admirable quality: He freaking hates his old boss Donald Trump. Bolton spent about a year-and-a-half as the 45th president’s national security advisor, and since leaving he he’s frequently thrown him under the bus with unflattering stories and observations. Now he’s taking his animus for him one step further.

As per Mediaite, Bolton went on NBC’s Meet the Press Monday, where he joined many in denouncing Trump’s shocking call over the weekend to shred the Constitution so he can be reinstated in office. Trump has since tried to walk that back, though not very convincingly. Bolton, though, has an idea on how to kill his third presidential campaign: He’ll run against him.

“I think to be a presidential candidate you can’t simply say I support the Constitution, you have to say I would oppose people who would undercut it,” Bolton said after saying he would “absolutely” run in 2024. “We used to have a thing in the House of Representatives called the House Un-American Affairs Committee. I think when you challenge the Constitution itself the way Trump himself has done, that is un-American.”

When asked about his timeline for throwing his hat in the 2024 ring, Bolton said he’ll wait to see if any viable candidates oppose him. If not, he’s “prepared to get in the race.”

Bolton has long been one of the more severe figures in American politics, having served roles for Republican presidents going back to Ronald Reagan. He’s certainly gotten his hands dirty, too: Over the summer, he casually blurted out that he’s helped plan coups, before adding, “not here.” Perhaps he and Trump have something in common after all.

Today’s generation may not be as familiar with 50 Cent’s music catalog as previous ones, but they certainly know his business dealings. The Queens native has become a dominating force in film and television, but his first successful business venture was in fashion, thanks to his company G-Unit Clothing.

During the height of his musical career, the “I Get Money” rapper inked a multimillion-dollar sneaker deal with Reebok. The G-Unit sneaker became a cultural wave in the early 2000s as the rapper and then-artists Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks, and Young Buck sported the footwear in their music videos.

In a new interview with Complex, Reebook’s CEO Todd Krinsky revealed that at one point in the partnership, a pair of G-Unit sneakers nearly outpaced a pair of Air Jordans in a similar colorway.

Krinsky shared, “We were selling like, you know, 40-50,000 per color at a time. I remember that back-to-school, we sold on one color, like 75,000 pairs. I’m not saying, by the way, that G-Unit was ever close to Jordan in any way. I’m saying that one moment in time, that one colorway, I think we sold in almost as many pairs as the Jordan launch for that period.” He added, “[50 Cent] was always saying how many Jordans sell this week. I’m telling you, he was literally asking that every week or every time we had a meeting.”

The executive also spoke about how involved the rapper was in the partnership: “50 was also incredibly immersed in the business. Like he came to every meeting on time, ready to go, and his first question every meeting was, ‘How many pairs we sell this week?’”

In 2014, during an interview with radio personality Ebro Darden, 50 Cent briefly spoke about how important it was for him to be seen in the shoes, which resulted in higher sales. Still, some of them didn’t take the deal as seriously as he did.

The rapper said, “[Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks, and Young Buck] had Reebok deals but forgot to wear the shoes, so I stopped paying them,” he continued, “Jay Z used athletes to promote his S. Carter’s. I used my artists to help bring them additional money because they weren’t demanding enough interest to have the [shoe] deal on their own.”

He eventually cut ties with Reebok for a deal with Marc Echo before parting ways with the company in 2008. G Unit clothing is now sold exclusively online.

When the event runs from midnight to 6a-freaking-m, a few things could be true. 1) You might just be in Europe; 2) you should probably buckle up for a wild night. This is exactly what went down at INPUT Dance Club on the Catalan Coast of Barcelona.

What manifested was Spanish DJ and fashion icon Sita Abellán’s second edition of the highly anticipated rave, OUTOPIA. Known beyond the stage as a fierce champion of global femme and LGBTQ+ culture, Sita has run the night around the globe in Vegas, Miami, and the jewel of Ibiza, the iconic DC10 nightclub.

Her event on November 5th featured an inclusive space proudly flaunting an all-star female lineup. It looked fun as hell.

Known for her blend of Psychedelic and dark industrial sounds,Abellán’s entourage of fellow performers DJ Cora Novoa (creative director of the independent record label SEEKING THE VELVET), LGBTQ+ and techno trance champion DJ Drazzit, and South African DJ Lee Ann Roberts all assembled to throw a quintessential rave that journeyed from the dead of night until dawn. Stay tuned for Volume Three of what’s sure to be a regular event in one of Barcelona’s most popular techno scenes.

Mike White has been kicking around the entertainment industry for over two decades, and he’s had his share of hits. Maybe you forgot he wrote School of Rock, even Pitch Perfect 3. He’s even a reality TV star. But nothing he’s made has had the obsessive impact of The White Lotus, his bad vacation anthology show, which has ensnared viewers with its twisty, increasingly horny claws. What’s the show’s secret? Well, it has many, but one of them is that it knows how to hook viewers from the get-go: Each of its two seasons has kicked off with a dead body before flashing back. It’s a good gimmick, and White is joking that he wished he’d thought of it for previous shows.

“I’ve been making stuff for a long time and when that first season became such a water cooler show [that] people were talking about, I was like, had I only known if I’d put a dead body at the beginning of Enlightened, maybe people would’ve watched Enlightened,” he told Terry Gross during a recent episode of Fresh Air, referring to his acclaimed HBO show with Laura Linney, which only lasted two seasons. “You realize these kinds of hooks do actually get viewers.”

White said he noticed, from online chatter and friends, that wondering which character (or, this season, maybe characters) will eat it is part of the show’s pull. “It clearly is something that drives interest in the show. People will decide at the conclusion whether it’s satisfying or it feels just device-y, but at this point, I’m excited about the finale,” White explained. “It’s not really my wheelhouse, but as somebody who’s been working in the margins, it is kind of nice to have viewers,” he added with a laugh.

As of this writing, only one episode remains in the Sicily-set second season. As obsessed as people are with the show and that “ginormous” dildo Theo James had to brandish, they’re also already speculating about who should get a crap vacay for round three.

Maybe it’s a right of passage into adulthood or maybe some landlords discriminate against pets because they can’t tell people kids are forbidden in their residence. Either way, just about everyone has lived in a rental home that didn’t allow pets. Most people just abide by the rules and vow to get a pet when they find a new home.

Some people, on the other hand, get creative. I once came across a post on social media where someone claimed their pit bull puppy was actually a Silver Labrador. But one woman on TikTok was harboring a secret cat in her rental that had a no pets policy, and either her cat was unaware or he was aware and was simply being a jerk.

My money is on the latter since cats are known to be jerks for no reason. I mean, have you ever left something on the counter for a few minutes? They make it their mission to knock it on the floor. So I fully believe this fluffy little meow box wanted to make his presence known in an effort to rat out his owner.

Maybe the cat forgot that he doesn’t actually pay any bills, so whatever qualms he has with his owner should probably stay between them. Dear Mr. Kitty, if your owner gets kicked out, so do you. The situation is hilarious and slightly terrifying for anyone who has tried to hide an unauthorized pet. It all started with an unexpected knock on the door by the landlord. Instead of letting the landlord in, the woman ran to the door to stand outside and speak to him. You know, trying to avoid the discovery of her feline companion.

The tabby cat decided he wanted to be a part of the conversation that was taking place on the other side of the door so he began to meow, loudly, to guarantee his concerns were addressed. But he’s a cat, so communication was difficult. It was right after the landlord asked the tenant, “Do y’all have a cat ?” that the tabby decided that was his cue.
