GloRilla Dominated Her Funk Flex Freestyle, Which Showcased Her Sweet Charisma And Witty Bars

Grammy-nominated rapper GloRilla is one of the most charismatic new artists to burst onto the scene. As her debut major label EP, Anyways, Life’s Great, continues to gain steam online, the Memphis native wants to ensure she showcases her full range as an artist.

While many new acts dismiss requests to freestyle, the “F.N.F” rapper stepped up to the plate during her appearance on Hot 97’s Funk Flex show. From her guest verse on Latto’s track “FTCU” to her live performance at the American Music Awards to the Funk Flex freestyle, GloRilla doesn’t miss.

Backed by DJ Juayto, GloRilla took a few minutes to spit a couple of witty bars on the Macaroni Toni-produced instrumental.

GloRilla opened the freestyle by addressing the online body-shamers, rapping, “I’m just a hood b*tch that got some money now / I’ve been eating so good sometimes I can’t grow my stomach out / They told me I should gain some weight / I could probably buy a hundred pounds / they bashing me for running up, mane they ass be running out.”

Later, GloRilla took a moment to thank her label owner for his support in the stanza, “Shout out to Yo Gotti he made me rich with about 500k / Put in all that work and made it ugly in 100 days / How I keep these b*tches talking I done learned 100 ways / 50-50 with my n****, we can make a hundred plays.”

Closing out the freestyle, GloRilla paid homage to her hometown with the line, “I’m a West Side Frayser baby / Nah it ain’t the North b*tch / On God.”

The radio pioneer opened the freestyle by saying, “That joint with you and Latto is so crazy. The energy! I love energy, and I know I whispered this to you earlier, but that energy [GloRilla]… it’s been missing,” and we couldn’t agree more.

Rudy Gobert Only Wants Joel Embiid To Join France If His ‘Heart Is With Us’

The most high-profile recruiting battle in sports right now has nothing to do with college basketball or football. Instead, it involves international basketball, where the Cameroon, France, and the United States are jostling to secure a commitment from Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid ahead of the 2024 Summer Olympics, which will take place in Paris. Embiid, who has never played international basketball, is a native of Cameroon, but received citizenship in France and the U.S. over the last few months.

It’s a race between an African side with other NBA talents, a European team that might have the best chance of unseating the Americans at the Olympics, and the long-running kings of international hoops (well, until recently). And in a recent conversation with Joe Vardon of The Athletic, France’s most prominent player made clear that he only wants Embiid to join their ranks “if Joel’s heart is with us.”

“For me the most important thing is if his heart tells him to be a part of Team France,” Rudy Gobert said. “I want him to do it for the right reasons. As long as he understands that the French national team is different than the NBA. We have rules, we have things that we do. Sometimes we all have lunch and dinner together — it’s not everybody doing their own thing. These are two different teams.

“But I think the main thing for us, for him and for me is that I want to make sure that he does it from his heart,” Gobert continued. “And if he does that, I think he would be an amazing addition for our team.”

The biggest weakness for the U.S. is in its frontcourt — at the 2020 Olympics, where they won gold, the only recognized centers on the roster were Bam Adebayo and JaVale McGee. It is not hard to see how adding Embiid to the mix would be a gigantic boost, particularly as France heads into the next few years with both Gobert and up-and-coming star Victor Wembanyama.

If he were to join the French, however, Gobert — who stressed that “the international game is not about getting the best players on paper” — has a pretty simple answer to how opposing teams can match up against that frontcourt: “they can’t.”

Did Kim Kardashian Cheat On Kanye West With NBA Star Chris Paul?

Let’s just get right to it: On Twitter last night (December 1), Kanye West claimed he once caught Kim Kardashian cheating on him with NBA all-star Chris Paul.

As for how we got to this point, it started yesterday, when Ye and fellow controversial figure Alex Jones had a conversation on Jones’ InfoWars show. West said a number of questionable things in the interview, the most outrageous of which left even the outspoken Jones scratching his head. One such quote was, “Every human being has value that they brought to the table, especially Hitler.”

After that, West took to Twitter to tweet many things, one of which was a graphic that merged a swastika with the Star Of David. That got his Twitter account suspended yet again, with Elon Musk later confirming it was due to an “incitement to violence.” Before the plug was pulled on West’s Twitter, though, he shared an image featuring a photo of the basketball player and wrote, “Let’s break one last window before we get outa here: I caught this guy with Kim. Good night.”

Neither Paul nor Kardashian have yet to publicly address West’s accusation. However, TMZ reports that “a source close to the situation” told them, “This is not true and sadly it’s an ongoing pattern with Kanye — attacking Kim to redirect everyone’s attention after a day of crazy antics where he has said every hateful and offensive thing he can possibly dream of. He has a history of falsely accusing her of also having affairs with Meek Mill, Drake, and countless others. Kanye has for years deflected his own awful behavior, infidelities, and obsession with porn and sex addiction to abuse and slut-shame Kim. She wants to be left alone so she can focus on the well-being of their children.”

GMA’s Amy Robach And T.J. Holmes Are Reportedly ‘Not Ashamed’ Of Their Love Affair And Executives At ABC Are Loving The ‘Ratings Gold’ Attention It’s Getting

It sounds like GMA anchors Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes’ extra-marital activities won’t be landing them in hot water — at work, at least.

The daytime TV personalities have made headlines recently after photos leaked of a romantic weekend getaway the two enjoyed in upstate New York sans their respective spouses. Robach has been married to actor Andrew Shue since 2010 while Holmes also wed his wife, Marilee Fiebig that same year. The two cohorts became close in 2020, anchoring the afternoon hour of Good Morning America’s broadcast, and likely began a relationship sometime earlier this year. But, according to insiders, ABC execs are less concerned about the optics of the cheating scandal and more than thrilled about the ratings it might bring.

According to Page Six, Robach and Holmes won’t face disciplinary action from the top brass at GMA for their affair.

“All they care about is the ratings,” one source told the paper. “This is rating’s gold. That’s why [ABC News President] Kim [Goodwin] wanted them on the show today.”

Staff was told to behave as if everything was normal, something Robach and Holmes have also been doing since the photos leaked. “They’re not ashamed. They’re two consenting adults, who ended up loving each other,” another source told Page Six. “It’s not how they wanted [news of their relationship] to come out, but it’s also kind of a relief.”

The timeline for when the affair began (and whether Holmes and Robach were still with their spouses) is a bit fuzzy. Sources told Page Six that both marriages had their troubles recently with Holmes separating from his wife for months on multiple occasions and Robach “very upset” over her own marriage ending some six months before the scandal broke. But, there had been rumors the two were more than friends since March 2022, if not sooner.

With the dust settling, both Robach and Holmes are back on the air and they have yet to address the cheating scandal — though both have deactivated their Instagram accounts.

“Their attitude seems to be that they are both separated, and now they are together,” a source said with another adding, “They [feel they] don’t owe anyone anything. There’s nothing they’re ashamed of.”

Metro Boomin’s ‘Heroes & Villains’ Earned A Standing Ovation From Fans For A Plethora Of Reasons

Metro Boomin’s highly anticipated album Heroes & Villains is finally out today after being delayed a month. With features from John Legend, Future, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Young Thug, The Weeknd, even the late Takeoff, and more, it’s a major release. Luckily, he delivered, and fans are endlessly praising it on social media.

Fans are pointing out that even though everyone has already been debating what album was the best of the year, Heroes & Villains better be included in the conversation.

Others are dunking on Drake and 21 Savage’s Her Loss to give love to Heroes & Villains, showing that they’ve already moved on from that record.

Most, though, are just showing appreciation through memes.

Listeners seem to love the entirety of Heroes & Villains, but they especially flipped out over the sample of The Boys‘ Homelander in the John Legend-featured intro, which gives an immediate layer of current-day politics and corruption to a complex album that later explores those themes. “Metro Boomin putting a Homelander clip on the intro to Hero’s and Villians then transitioning it to Future is the hardest thing I’ve heard in the last 3 years,” one user wrote on Twitter. It was certainly a successfully attention-grabbing kick-off to an engrossing LP.

Disgraced MAGA Man-Child Madison Cawthorn Wants You All To Know That He Loves His Country Too Much To Stay Out Of Your Lives

Madison Cawthorn got himself booted out of Congress earlier this year, part of a rough 2022 for fringe MAGA celebrities tying their political fates to Donald Trump. Despite making basically every Republican in leadership angry and probably breaking election finance laws in the process of losing his campaign, Cawthorn is sure that the best is yet to come in his young political career.

With midterms over and Trump eying up a presidential run in 2024, though, there isn’t much for an unemployed Cawthorn to do beyond dabble in some bland culture war nonsense. But fear not, because the now-former representative says he’s going to run for… something again soon enough. In an interview on Tomi Lahren’s show, Cawthorn reminded everyone that he’s not going anywhere, no matter how much Kevin McCarthy hates him.

“Right now, I want to start a family. I enjoy doing business and stuff outside of the public sector,” Cawthorn said. “But I love my country too much to just hang my hat up.”

Cawthorn pointed to all the people who like him around the country, many of whom apparently do not reside in the 11th District of North Carolina.

“I have so much support around the country. I have great patriots that supported me even in my defeat,” he said. “I’m definitely not going to sit this out. I have plans to return back to office.”

Cawthorn said he wasn’t sure if it would be a return attempt at a congressional seat or something else, but it’s certainly an interesting declaration coming off a very humbling loss. And it speaks to the disconnect many of the more MAGA-y Republicans have found in more recent election cycles. While attaching yourself to Trump gets you attention from “around the country,” as Cawthorn noted, it doesn’t necessarily mean you have it in the places you actually should have it to get votes.

Garnering that national support doesn’t mean you’re actually addressing the concerns of people voting for you, which means much tighter races than anticipated. So really all it means right now is that we’ll keep hearing from Cawthorn about a lot of different, probably very pointless, things in an effort to stay in the national eye so he can eventually lose another local race. Fun!

Former Spice Girl Mel B Confirms That James Corden Is Indeed A ‘Dickhead’

Melanie Brown, a.k.a. Mel B, may have risen to fame as “Scary Spice,” but the English singer/songwriter says her terrifying-sounding Spice Girls alter ego has got nothing on the real-life version of James Corden. Hmmm… where have we heard this before?

As The Wrap reports, Brown appeared as a guest on the latest edition of the British talk show The Big Narstie Show, where co-host Mo Gilligan asked her to publicly out the “biggest dickhead she’d ever met.” Brown didn’t hesitate in her answer—and she didn’t choose just one person: “So, there’s a few,” she said. “James Corden, Geri Halliwell, Jessie J, and me.”

While throwing herself into the mix was sort of a surprise, as was naming fellow Spice Girl Geri “Ginger Spice” Halliwell (with whom Brown had a one-night stand), Corden’s inclusion wasn’t raising any eyebrows.

“I think you always have to be nice to the people that you work with, whether it be production, camera guys, sound, lighting,” Brown explained of her disdain for the Cats star. “We all work for the same thing, so you should always be nice and he hasn’t been very nice.”

OK, so it’s not the juiciest answer. But given Keith McNally’s recent decision to ban Corden from perennial New York City brunch hotspot Balthazar for being what the famed restaurateur described as an “abusive… tiny cretin of a man,” is anyone really surprised?

It also explains why, when the U.S. and England recently met up at The World Cup, Corden became the unwitting booby prize.

Brown’s episode of The Big Narstie Show airs on the U.K.’s Channel 4 tonight.

Babyface Ray Brings The Detroit Skyline To His ‘Masterpiece’ Performance On ‘Fallon’

Babyface Ray has been rising in popularity and critical esteem over the past year and last night, he reached another career benchmark, making his live TV debut on The Tonight Show with a mellow performance of “Masterpiece” from his newly released album Mob. Starting his performance on a park bench (a favorite place of his to do this, apparently), Ray delivers the gritty new song in front of a reproduction of Detroit’s skyline as seen from across the river.

Mob, which features appearances from Lil Durk, Blxst, Doe Boy, King Hendricks, Samuel Shabazz, and GMO Stax, dropped today via Ray’s Wavy Gang imprint and EMPIRE. Previously, he released “Spend It” featuring Blxst and Nija before teasing the album’s release with a funny trailer to close out November. Mob is Ray’s second album of the year after he released Face in January, with a deluxe reissue in May. (It’s probably no accident that both projects together form the name Face Mob, which was another nickname for retired Houston rap legend Scarface.)

In addition to his own albums, Babyface Ray made a few high-profile performances on projects from Future, Maxo Kream, and Nav in addition to his selection to the XXL Freshman Class.

Piers Morgan Finally Jumped Off The Kanye Support Wagon, But People Can’t Resist Dragging His Week-Old Butt-Kissing Session

Piers Morgan once thanked his haters, but he’s also something of a hater. Yet he’s a lover, too. When he admires someone and/or wants to interview him, his Twitter profile lights up with gushing and butt kissing and open requests for interviews. In late November, Piers set his sights on scoring another Kanye West interview despite, you know, all of those anti-Semitic remarks causing Kanye’s sticker price to plummet. Here’s Piers trying to ka-ching on the controversy:

Fast forward to this week, and even Alex Jones appeared to want to sink into the floor (so he disguised himself as a lizard or something) when Kanye went off the rails while arguing that Hitler had some really positive points, so chill out, man. Not great!

As a result, not even Elon Musk will put up with what Ye is selling. The House GOP likewise deleted it’s infamous supportive tweet, “Kanye. Elon. Trump.” What next? Oh, Piers is (maybe) done with Kanye too and attempting to take the high road.

“I had a lengthy text exchange with Kanye ‘Ye’ West the other day which indicated he’s now revelling in causing maximum offence,” Piers tweeted after the pro-Hitler rant heard ’round the world. “He wasn’t just racist, and anti-Semitic, but horribly homophobic too – and his latest pro-Hitler rant is sadly more evidence he’s lost the plot.”

Very quickly, a Twitter user responded, “Interesting how Piers was begging Kanye for an interview just last week and now he’s suddenly trying to throw him under the bus…” And the vibe continued:

Hey, at least Piers got to interview Cristiano Ronaldo (one of his heroes), but it *is* awfully odd that everyone is apparently texting Piers Morgan these days. Well, other than Meghan Markle:

Uruguay Players Were Devastated After A Late South Korea Goal Knocked Them Out Of The World Cup

With Portugal already through to the knockout stage of the 2022 World Cup, the remaining three teams in Group H went into Friday’s games jostling for second place. By the time the dust settled, a South Korea stoppage time goal over the Portuguese meant that they were moving on, while both sides in the Ghana-Uruguay game saw their World Cup campaigns come to an end.

A pair of first half goals by Uruguay’s Giorgian de Arrascaeta were crucial in their effort to eliminate Ghana and put themselves in as good of a position as possible. La Celeste needed a win to guarantee that the Black Stars would not have a shot of advancing, and between a saved penalty and goals in the 26th and 32nd minute, Ghana’s chances of moving on — which were dependent on at least a draw and a loss for Korea — took a major hit.

Portugal, meanwhile, put up an early hurdle to Korea’s quest to move on. Korea needed a win to ensure they would make the knockouts, but five minutes into their game against the European giants, Ricardo Horta scored to put them behind the 8-ball.

Korea got one back in the 27th minute on this effort by Kim Young-gwon, but as things stood going into the half, Uruguay was slated to secure second place. Only one thing could change that: Korea getting another goal, which would propel them into second place on goal differential as things stood.

And to add to the drama, early on in the second half, Uruguay looked like it was going to get a chance to pad its goal differential — thereby making it so Korea needed to beat Portugal by two. Darwin Núñez got into the box and was taken down. A penalty was given, but VAR intervened to wipe it off of the board.

If this World Cup has made one thing clear, it’s that the football gods are a cruel, cruel bunch. And in stoppage time, South Korea took advantage of VAR intervening in the other game, as a perfectly-executed counterattack ended with Hwang Hee-chan putting the ball in the back of the net.

Word of the goal traveled quickly to the stadium where Uruguay played, and the side’s legendary striker, Luis Suárez, was moved to tears as he learned the news.

Uruguay’s fans and players on the bench could do nothing but hope that the 11 men on the pitch could make something happen.

But a third goal did not come. Ghana, which has quite the history with Uruguay (and particularly Suárez) at the World Cup, was resilient, and as the seconds ticked away, the sense of desperation and, eventually, devastation could be felt from thousands of miles away. All Uruguay’s players could do was try to confront the officials as they tried to make their way into the tunnel after the game.

Portugal and South Korea will learn who they will end up playing in the knockout stage soon, when Group G becomes the final group to play its third game a little later today.
