Parents have kids record them dancing but capture their reactions instead and it’s pure joy

We all know parenting can be tough, but if there’s one thing that makes the roller coaster of emotions totally worth it, it’s seeing our children’s faces light up with joy.

Children’s smiles are infectious, and not in the scary pandemic kind of a way. There’s simply nothing better in this world than the face of a bright-eyed little human beaming with happiness, which is why a recent TikTok trend has people grinning from ear to ear themselves.

The premise is simple: The parent asks the kid to record them dancing to Taylor Swift‘s “Love Story” with the screen facing away from them (under the guise that the parent dancing needs to see themselves). So instead of recording the parent dancing, it’s actually recording the kid’s face watching them.

And oh, the love and joy on these kids’ faces is so, so sweet to witness. Watch:

@thechavezfamilyy

The end 😭😭 why am I bawling at this trend?! He’s SO CUTE #momsoftiktok #momtok #toddlersoftiktok

That face. OMG.

And check out the encouragement from this little fella:

@themarshhfamily

The end did it for me đŸ„č😭I birthed such a sweet, loving and encouraging little boy!! #momtok #toddlersoftiktok #taylorswiftchallenge #lovestorychallenge #boymom #toddlermom

Seriously, seeing close-ups of kids’ joy should be a daily thing.

@makingthemoffitts

#nationaladoptionmonth #adoptionawareness #thisisadoption #thisisfostercare #adoption #fostercare #makingthemoffitts #lovestorychallenge #taylorswift

Some dads have gotten in on the trend as well. Look at the way this little girl beams at her daddy.

@durbanofamily

Had to jump on the trend! Love this beautiful girl!

Of course, part of the beauty of having kids is you simply never know what they’re going to do. While some youngsters gaze lovingly at their parents while they dance, others have a
 well
 different reaction. Check out this girl’s facial expressions:

@haleigh.booth

It’s the side eye at the end for me 😆😂😂😂😂

Hilarious. And because this is the internet, naturally someone had to do the TikTok trend with their dog. Gotta admit, Ellie’s toothy grin is pretty darn cute as well.

@elliegoldenlife

This is why I don’t dance 😂

TikTok trends can sometimes be strange, annoying or problematic, but once in a while one comes along that brings people together in surprisingly delightful ways. Seeing people’s kids’ pure enjoyment watching their parents being silly is simply the best.

A Reporter For Showtime’s ‘The Circus’ Abruptly Aborted An Interview With ‘Multi-Shirted, Multi-Indicted’ Steve Bannon After Bannon Started Spewing His Usual BS

On a series titled The Circus: Inside the Greatest Political Show on Earth, one would think that the more wildly out-of-control an interview goes, the better. But former GOP political operative Tim Miller wasn’t having any of Steve Bannon’s bullsh*t when he guest-hosted what was supposed to be an interview with Donald Trump’s perpetually-in-need-of-a-shower former chief strategist on the long-running Showtime political docuseries.

As the clip above shows, Miller was looking for Bannon — or, as he described him, “the multi-shirted [and] multi-indicted Steve Bannon” — to do away with all the pro-Trump lies and just be honest about the 2020 election, especially as so many members of the Republican party seem to be turning their backs on the former president. But what he got was just more bullsh*t with a heaping spoonful of horses*t.

The topic of conversation was Arizona TV personality-turned-gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake, who — weeks before the election — made it clear that “concession” was not in her vocabulary. While we now know that Lake did lose to Democrat Katie Hobbs, at the time (and probably still) Bannon was touting Lake “as the future” of the Republican party despite the fact that, as a Trump-endorsed election denier, she was focusing the bulk of her energy on winning over the fringe parts of the GOP. But Bannon, who Miller was surprised to see at a Lake event in the first place, wasn’t buying it. “You don’t really believe this sh*t?,” he asked.

Bannon claimed to be “100 percent” serious and certain in his claim that the 2020 presidential election was stolen, and said that Lake believed it, too. At which point Miller reminded Bannon that “People stormed the Capitol over this sh*t, dude. These are lies!” and added that if Bannon himself hadn’t been perpetuating the Big Lie, the insurrection would have never happened.

While Bannon continued to paint himself as a believer, Miller — who wrote a great, recently published book on the MAGA movement — finally just shut the whole thing down. “You don’t believe this sh*t, I’m not doing this anymore,” Miller told Bannon before just calmly extricating himself from, well, the circus.

Summer Walker Fans Are Furious And ‘Over It’ After She Was Snubbed From The 2023 Grammys

It seems Summer Walker and her fans are upset after getting snubbed at the 2023 Grammys for her hit album, 2021’s Still Over It, and rightly so.

This would be the second time in a row that things singer has yet to receive a nomination from the Recording Academy despite having one of the most talked-about projects of the year.

Walker’s album was the first album to reach No.1 by a female R&B singer in over five years and also broke the record for the most-streamed album ever by a female R&B artist, surpassing a mark previously held by Beyonce’s 2016 album, Lemonade.

Many fans share the same sentiments as the Kentucky singer regarding the Recording Academy’s decision.

“The math is literally not mathing
” Walker said in a recent Instagram story post. “At least the streets fuq with me.”

One fan pointed out how Walker had one of the biggest R&B albums that year, despite not being nominated.

“she literally had the biggest r&b album that year and even broke a BeyoncĂ© record,” one person tweeted. “how was she not nominated??”

One person hilariously suggested that may Walker had pissed someone on the nomination board off, and that’s why she keeps getting snubbed, even after putting out consistently solid projects.

“now who did summer walker piss off at the grammys behind the scene omg,” they wrote.

To be eligible for nominations for this year’s Grammys, an artist’s work must have been released between October 1, 2021, and September 30, 2022. Walker’s album, Still Over It, which was released last November, more than made the cutoff date, but the “No Love” singer can’t catch a break.

Welp, there’s always next year.

Who Are The First-Time Nominees For The 2023 Grammys?

This year’s Grammy Award nomination ceremony was nothing short of culture-shifting. Although the 65th annual ceremony isn’t set to happen until February of next year, many artists are already making history. Earning nine nominations during today’s broadcast, BeyoncĂ© has become the most nominated female in the ceremony’s history. With six nominations, Kendrick Lamar leads the pack of most-nominated hip-hop act. After receiving three nominations, Bad Bunny becomes the most-nominated Latin artist.

However, they aren’t the only artists making Grammy history: A few acts earned their first nominations from the Recording Academy today.

As her major label debut EP, Anyways, Life’s Great, continues to perform well, “F.N.F. (Let’s Go)” just earned GloRilla her first nomination for Best Rap Performance, while Latto’s “Big Energy (Live)” earned her first nomination for Best Melodic Rap Performance. Latto went on to earn another nomination for Best New Artist, where she will face some heavy hitters, including Tobe Nwigwe and Anitta (who are also first-time nominees).

Rounding out the list of first-time nominees are Kim Petras and Gayle. Petras’ song “Unholy” with Sam Smith will compete for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance as Gayle’s viral track, “ABCDEFU,” is in a much tougher battle for Song Of The Year.

Although pop star Harry Styles is no stranger to the Grammys (with a win for Best Pop Solo Performance for the hit single “Watermelon Sugar”), Harry’s House earned Styles his first nomination for Album Of The Year as a solo act.

RM, J-Hope, and Suga of BTS earned their first nominations as songwriters in the Album Of The Year category.

Another notable first-time nominee is actress, producer, and author Viola Davis. The narration of her memoir, Finding Me, earned The Woman King star a nomination for Best Audiobook, Narration, And Storytelling Recording. Oh Good, Trump Is Reportedly Sharing QAnon Memes About A Demon God Ruling The World Now

Despite the growing wishes of the Republican Party (and Rupert Murdoch) following the disastrous midterm election results, Donald Trump is reportedly still planning to announce his 2024 presidential run on Tuesday. However, while the former president may not have the full backing of the GOP, he remains the candidate of choice for unhinged nutjobs and has taken to sharing their weirdo memes on Truth Social.

According to The Daily Beast, Trump shared a now-deleted post from user “God_Bless_Trump” that was jam-packed with wild QAnon claims of demonic gods and child sacrifice. While any normal candidate would steer clear of accusing their opponents of being imbued with satanic power, Trump is reportedly leaning into the batshit caterwauling of his MAGA base:

One side of the picture showed Trump’s face above the text “We Love You, President Trump! God Bless You!” The other side had a rambling, conspiracy-flecked screed about Trump’s motivations for running for the most powerful elected office in the world. Despite the fact that he “has it all,” the post said, “perhaps he could not stomach the thought of mass murders occurring to satisfy Moloch,” referring to an ancient god of child sacrifice. “Perhaps he could not stomach the thought of children being kidnapped, drugged, and raped while leaders/law enforcement of the world turn a blind eye.”

Hours after essentially endorsing a post that paints him as the virtuous slayer of the demon Moloch, Trump shared a more subdued message about his presumed 2024 announcement.

“Hopefully TODAY will turn out to be one of the most important days in the history of our Country!” Trump truthed or whatever the heck you call posts on his looney bin social media site where people think Democrats eat babies.

Taylor Swift Fans Who Couldn’t Get ‘The Eras Tour’ Tickets Have Bad Blood With Ticketmaster And Are Roasting Them

Ticketmaster really let the Swifties down. Are you surprised? When the presale for tickets to Taylor Swift’s 2023 The Eras Tour opened up on Tuesday morning, there were so many fans (and bots, surely) logged in to the ticketing queue, that the Ticketmaster servers became overloaded and kept sending fans “technical difficulties” error messages as the site repeatedly crashed.

While Ticketmaster issued a statement (that did not include an apology) and pushed back multiple presales in hopes of accommodating the millions of people trying to get through the queue, fans and concerned parties did the only they could do in this hopeless moment: they roasted Ticketmaster on social media.

“What is joe biden’s plan to unpause the ticketmaster queue for taylor swift’s eras tour,” one user asked. “It’s called the ‘Eras’ tour because if you try to log in to Ticketmaster all you get are era messages,” another joked. Even Grammy nominee Zach Bryan got in on the roast.

Another user cited Ticketmaster’s statement about “unprecedented demand” calling them out by saying that since they were the ones who issued the presale codes, they should have expected this kind of volume.

Somebody else was so mad that they decided to block Drake? Sounds like Ticketmaster might have a vested interest in stoking the fire of the beef that Swifties currently have with Drake.

But then the final hammer was dropped when Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez popped in to make sense of this whole mess. “Daily reminder that Ticketmaster is a monopoly, it’s merger with LiveNation should never have been approved, and they need to be reigned in. Break them up.” [mic drop]

Good (?) News, Cinema’s Most Famous Mermaid Butt Has Been Restored On Disney+

Ah, remember the good ol’ days of the first year of Disney+, which launched in November 2019? What a time to be alive. There was “Maclunkey”
 then nothing until someone noticed that Daryl Hannah’s mermaid butt in Splash was censored with “digital fur technology.” Disney never gave an official explanation for the CGI reverse merkin, but it was impossible not to notice.

However, there’s good news for people who can’t think of anywhere but Disney+ to see butts on the internet: the original cut of Splash has been restored. CBR reports that “with the addition of the Disney+ parental lock feature, Splash‘s CGI cover-up has been removed and the original version reinstated.” The Michael Jackson episode of The Simpsons is nowhere to be seen on the streaming service, but this is a good start.

Splash was the first film released by Disney’s adult-focused Touchstone Pictures label. It was rated PG not only for the nudity, but also violence, like the scene where “a man assaults a woman with spray from a garden hose,” according to IMDb. And an “underwater fight scene in which one man is kicked in the groin, and several others have their scuba masks and regulators ripped off, forcing them to return to the surface.”

The 1980s was a wild time.
