GloRilla’s debut album, Glorious, is out now, and after supporting it with boisterous singles like “Hollon,” “Whatchu Kno About Me” with Sexyy Red, and “How I Look” with Megan Thee Stallion, Glo slows it down in her latest video for “I Luv Her” featuring T-Pain. The video also provides the long-awaited explanation of those fake baby bump photos from a few weeks ago with BMF actor Da’Vinchi.
In fact, the video opens with a pregnant GloRilla going into labor as her supportive man — played by Da’Vinchi, naturally — calls a ride to the hospital. Then, things flash back to their first meeting at a strip mall where Glo was apparently feeling a late-night hankering for some Chinese takeout from Wingnuts & Chopsticks in Atlanta. After exchanging numbers, their whirlwind romance proceeds takes off, as GloRilla narrates through the lyrics of the song and T-Pain sings the heartwarming hook.
Glo’s had a standout 2024, releasing not just one, but two projects; before she released Glorious, her mixtape Ehhthang Ehhthang was a fan favorite, generating hits like “Wanna Be” with Megan Thee Stallion and “Yeah Glo!.” Meanwhile, if rumors of a joint album between Glo and Meg turn out to be true, their 2025 could be equally monumental. In the meantime, you can watch Glo’s “I Luv Her” video above.

Tate McRae’s new album, So Close To What, is coming soon, and her latest video gives another preview at what’s shaping up to be a high-energy collection of songs. In the motorsports-themed video for “2 Hands,” McRae dons a racing suit and whips through her suburban neighborhood on a milk run after finishing off the carton at home (use a glass, sister!). A series of cheeky subtitles and disclaimers runs along the lower third throughout, reflecting a fondness for foreign film (and concern for impressionable young fans — don’t try this at home, kids!).
The video ends with McRae and her dance team taking over a gas station to hit their moves — after all, the pop star did get her start as a dancer — as McRae tells the song’s addressee, “I want your two hands on me.” The lusty song certainly continues the unapologetic themes expressed in McRae’s “It’s OK I’m OK” video, suggesting that the newly announced album is going to stick to similar sexy subjects throughout.
The rest of Ms. McRae’s 2024 is looking quite busy, as she’s one of the artists booked to play New York’s Jingle Ball Festival, as well as finishing off the Oceania leg of her Think Later World Tour this month.
You can watch Tate McRae’s “2 Hands” video above.
So Close To What is out 2/21/2025 via RCA Records. Find more information here.
Matt Champion, formerly of Brockhampton and recently successful as a solo artist, has been expanding his list of collaborators lately. After working with Blackpink’s Jennie on “Slow Motion” earlier this year, he pairs up with the genre agnostic Deb Never on his new song, “Ash.” The tender song recounts the ups and downs of love, with the ending refrain summing up a floundering relationship as such: You made me laugh / And you made me cry… Why don’t you ask me out anymore?”
“Ash” appears on Champion’s EP Slint’s Favorite, which he has released over the past four weeks as an “extension” of his debut solo album, Mika’s Laundry. The project also includes “Faye,” “Hacker,” and “SPJ,” a string of mellow, but upbeat blends of pop, dance, and alt-rock.
Champion will be performing songs from Mika’s Laundry (and possibly, presumably, Slint’s Favorite) this Saturday, November 16, at Camp Flog Carnival in Los Angeles — his first time performing at the festival without Brockhampton. You can find set times for Flog Gnaw here.
Deb Never, meanwhile, recently released her single “Not In Love,” as she works on the follow-up to her 2021 debut, Where Have All The Flowers Gone?
You can listen to Matt Champion’s “Ash” featuring Deb Never above.
The ever-popular multiplayer shooter Fortnite got a new, rap-related facelift today, as Shark Island was turned into Ice Isle in celebration of the addition of rapper Ice Spice as a playable character. Two Rap Princess skins are now available for purchase in the game’s store, inspired by her looks in the videos for “Deli” and Cash Cobain’s “Fisherrr (Remix).” She’s also got a themed Grappler and Rifle.
In an interview with Billboard about the new additions, Ice said she earned some “big sister cool points” from her younger siblings who play the game and said she’s “grateful to stand next to icons,” including Eminem and Snoop Dogg, who are also in the game. Also included in Chapter 2 Remix is the long-awaited debut of Juice WRLD. The rappers were included as part of the Chapter 2 Remix rollout, which kicked off with an event in New York City earlier this month and the initiative will continue through the month of November. You can see a recap video of the performance below.
Earlier this year, the game partnered with Don Toliver for a game mode inspired by his new album HardStone Psycho.
You can check out the gameplay trailer for Ice Spice’s Fortnite takeover above.
Drake boasted about buying and melting down Pharrell Williams‘ old chains in a few recent songs, but Pharrell isn’t bothered by the gestures, calling them the actions of a “fan of music.” In a conversation with GQ, Pharrell was asked how he felt about Drake’s verses from songs like Travis Scott’s “Meltdown” and the Kendrick Lamar diss “Family Matters.”
Pharrell responded with a typically even-keeled answer, saying, “No, because I think beyond all of the on-goings, at the heart of all of it, he’s a fan of music. He’s a fan of the history of what it is, and I happen to be a part of that, and those artifacts are a part of it.” He said he was “cool” with Drake buying his chains and didn’t have any thoughts on what the Canadian star melting them down might mean about Drake’s feelings about him.
“I guess some things are not for me to understand,” he admitted. “When you let things go, a huge part of it is actually letting go. Not just of the physical item, but letting go of your connection to what it’s supposed to mean, or the memory. You’re literally letting them go. That was the purpose. It’s like when people sell something and they go, ‘I just want to make sure you take care of it because this is my baby.’ And I’m like, ‘No, no, no.’ This is not my baby. That’s why I’m letting it go.”
While some fans determined Drake’s actions and bars to be disrespectful toward Pharrell (“I melt down the chains that I bought from yo’ boss / Give a f*ck about all of that heritage sh*t” from “Meltdown” and “You wanna take up for Pharrell, then come get his legacy out of my house” from “Family Matters”), it seemed that Williams was merely collateral damage in Drake’s ongoing feuds with Pusha T and Kendrick Lamar — the only ones he is widely believed to have lost. Maybe his first step at making amends could be to mend fences with the Virginia hitmaker.
Self-declared history and politics buff Cardi B went back on her vow to stay uninvolved in this year’s election, endorsing Kamala Harris after Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential race. Although her preferred candidate didn’t win (and the future of the country looks undoubtedly bleak as a result), Cardi hasn’t backed down from online criticism of her endorsement, shutting down right wing grifter Candace Owens, who insinuated that her only reason for making the campaign rally appearance was getting paid by the Harris-Walz campaign.
“I didn’t get paid a dollar and that’s on my three!!” she shot back via Twitter (never calling it “X,” which is a dumb, horrid name). “I actually came out of pocket for glam and travel because it’s somewhere I wanted to be. Like please girl you know damn well I’ll argue you down about politics FOR FREE.”
It isn’t the first time Cardi has clapped back at Owens. In May, she shot down Owens’ disingenuous call to ban porn — although, she later realized that the engagement was only serving the wannabe commentator’s ends and deleted her responses. She’d likely be better served using that time to work on that long-awaited second album, which even she acknowledges has taken forever to finish.
Welcome to SNX DLX, your weekly roundup of the best sneakers to hit the internet. With just a six-sneaker round-up, this week is proving to be a pretty quiet one. Is it a sign that the 2024 sneaker year is essentially over? We don’t want to seem all doom and gloom but, yup, don’t count on the next few weeks to be heavy with sneaker drops.
That isn’t to say that you shouldn’t expect any more worthwhile sneaker drops and collaborations before the year ends, they’re just going to be a lot fewer and far between. Luckily for you, we’re here scanning all the releases of the week and gathering together only the shoes that truly matter. And despite this week’s light offerings, we’ve got some great ones this week!
Unless you’re an Adidas fan because that brand decided to sit this week out, add to that the lack of small brand collaborations, and we’ve got a short but strong lineup of New Balance and Nike. Let’s dive in, here are the best sneakers of the week.
New Balance’s rise in popularity is owed in large part to Teddy Santis and his brand Aimé Leon Dore, but those ALD New Balance collabs aren’t always easy to get your hands on.
This week’s Linen with Slate Grey 1906R isn’t an ALD collab but it looks like one! Same minimal aesthetic, same use of forest green, but at a much more manageable price.
The 1906R features a mesh upper with synthetic overlays over an ACTEVA Lite midsole. What really sells us on the shoe though is the combination of off-white, grey, and green.
The New Balance 1906R Linen with Slate Grey is out now for a retail price of $154.99. Pick up a pair at New Balance.
If you’re looking for something a bit more high-end with a bolder more eye-catching aesthetic, let us direct you to the 997 Vintage Teal. This sneaker comes out of New Balance’s premium Made in USA line and features a mixed canvas, suede, and mesh upper with a lightweight ENCAP midsole and a chunky wedge silhouette.
The New Balance Made in USA 997 Vintage Teal is set to drop on November 14th at 7:00 AM PST for a retail price of $189.99. Pick up a pair at New Balance.

Nike Air Max Waffle Action Green and Altitude Green
The Air Max Waffle is a fusion sneaker that combines the Air Max Plus and the Waffle Trainer, resulting in a sneaker that looks like a retro ‘70s runner, with a ’90s out-there edge.
The sneaker features a textile upper with suede and leather overlays, and a combination of green tones, black, and orange with a milky off-white midsole. Rounding out the design is a thick thread waffle sole.
The Nike Air Max Waffle Action Greey and Altitude Green is set to drop on November 14th at 7:00 AM PST for a retail price of $140. Pick up a pair via the Nike SNKRS app or aftermarket sites like GOAT and Flight Club.
Looking for a Y2K-inspired runner with high functionality? Look no further than the New Balance 740. The sneaker features a lightweight mesh upper with synthetic overlays, reflective accents throughout, and a split-style ABZORB midsole.
It’s designed to take serious pavement abuse, so if you’re looking for an affordable beater pair of sneakers, this is your shoe.
The New Balance 740 NB Navy is set to drop on November 15th at 7:00 AM PST for a retail price of $109.99. Pick up a pair at New Balance or aftermarket sites like GOAT and Flight Club.

Nike Air Max TL 2.5 Total Orange and Dark Smoke Grey
Look, we love the New Balance running sneakers. They perform well, are comfortable, and are incredibly affordable. Having said that, Nike’s design ethos is just too good to deny.
Case in point the Air Max TL 2.5. The sneaker features an airy textile upper with synthetic leather overlays, and a mix of orange, charcoal, white, and crimson-red colors. Just look at this thing! It’s a near perfect design.
The Nike Air Max TL 2.5 Total Orange and Dark Smoke Grey is set to drop on November 15th at 7:00 AM PST for a retail price of $180. Pick up a pair via the Nike SNKRS app.
Closing the week is the return of one of the greatest Jordan 4 colorways of all time: the Fear. The sneaker features a leather upper, full 1989 design specs and fit, and a colorway that combines black and grey tones, and a speckled midsole that looks like a starry sky.
It’s quite simply one of the best Jordan 4 drops of the year and a great collector’s item for hardcore Jordan heads.
The Nike Air Jordan 4 Fear is set to drop on November 16th at 7:00 AM PST for a retail price of $215. Pick up a pair via the Nike SNKRS app or aftermarket sites like GOAT and Flight Club.

At the end of 2023, Lil Babydeclared, “I’m Gone Until The Album,” and, “Don’t Mind Me I’m Just Living Finishing Up The Album.” Then, yesterday (November 13), he wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “2 songs 2 videos 2morrow !! Album Otw.”
Well, today is yesterday’s tomorrow, and one of the promised new songs, “5AM,” has arrived. The sub-2-minute track is produced by Wheezy and Sean Momberger, and notably, towards the end of the track, Baby teases a new album with the lyric (via Genius), “Even my mama be askin’ me, ‘Where is your album? We want it’ / Had to get on my business and tighten up my mental, I’m coming.”
The end of the song’s video displays what appears to be his upcoming album’s title: WHAM (Who Hard As Me).
Ahead of the song’s release, Baby wrote in an Instagram post teasing it, “Ain’t It Crazy How They Tryna Play Me Like I Ain’t The One !!! It’s That Time ! I Would Say Again But This Run Will Be Totally Different !! I Had The Darkest Period Of My Life These Last Two Years But I Stayed Down And Overcame That Sh*t Now I’m Back To F*ccin Sh*t Up As Usual… , Sincerely Wham !! Who Hard As Me Let’s Gooooooo.”
The still-untitled Apple TV+ series (possibly Wycaro?) reunites Gilligan with Emmy-snubbed actress Rhea Seehorn and has been described as a “fun, mild sci-fi series” that’s “said to be set in our world while putting a tweak on it, bending reality and focusing on people and exploring the human condition in an unexpected, surprising way.”
Filming on “Untitled Vince Gilligan Apple TV+ Series” began in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul were set, in May. But it appears the show is going international as well.
Spain-based publication Atlántico Hoyreports (with translation from Google) that “Risco San Nicolás, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, is one of the Canary Islands locations chosen for the filming of Wycaro, the new project by Vince Gilligan.” Production will “remain in the capital of Gran Canaria until November 19, and will then move to another location in the north.”
Gilligan previously teased that there will be “no crime and no methamphetamine” in his show, which also stars Karolina Wydra, but “the world changes very abruptly in the first episode, and then it is quite different. And the consequences that that reaps hopefully provide drama for many, many episodes after that.” There is currently no release date.
Tyler The Creator’s beloved Camp Flog Gnaw festival is coming right up, as the 2024 edition is set for November 16 and 17. If you can’t make it out to Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles for one reason or another, though, there’s good news: You can watch the festivities online.
How To Watch Camp Flog Gnaw 2024 Online
The event will be streamed via Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch, starting at 3 p.m. PT on November 16 and 17. This is the second consecutive year that Amazon Music has been the exclusive livestreaming home of the fest.
For those interested in attending in person, though, it may be too late: Tickets are currently sold out, but there is a waitlist on the Camp Flog Gnaw website, which will notify users if any tickets become available.
Last month, organizers rolled out the Camp Flog Gnaw lineup in a fun way, by inviting fans to complete a crossword puzzle, all of the answers of which were artists on this year’s lineup. The roster ended up featuring Vince Staples, Earl Sweatshirt, Domo Genesis, Denzel Curry, Doechii, Kaytranada, DJ Mustard, Raye, Laila!, The Alchemist, Action Bronson, Concrete Boys, Blood Orange, Tommy Richman, Sampha, Faye Webster, and a number of others.
