Lizzo And Her Boyfriend Myke Wright: Here’s Everything That We Know About The ‘Special’ Couple

Despite initially wanting to keep the relationship under wraps, Lizzo offered her fans a sweet glimpse into her new romance with Myke Wright.

The Michigan singer announced her recent bliss via Instagram this past summer at a “For Your Consideration” event in Los Angeles. Lizzo posted a compilation of photos, including a few snaps of the happy couple.

“Ima boss ass b*tch, b*tch, b*tch, b*tch, b*tch, b*tch, b*tch #FYC,” she wrote in her caption.

Lizzo and Wright’s relationship dates back to 2016 when the couple met and eventually worked together as co-hosts and stars of MTV’s Wonderland, US Weekly reports.

Romance rumors began to swirl about the duo in the spring of 2021 after the “Good as Hell” singer and Wright were caught cuddling and kissing. Around that time, she also shared an Instagram video of her engaging in a lip lock with a mysterious man out of the frame.

Not long after, Lizzo stopped by SiriusXM’s Radio Andy to chat with host Andy Cohen, confirming that she was dating someone special who wasn’t bothered by her fame and success.

“If you have the right person, no, not at all. [Fame is] not even a factor,” she told Cohen.

Fast forward to August 2022, the singer was seen holding hands with her man in New York shortly before she performed at the 2022 MTV VMAs.

In other news, the singer has plans to add a second North American leg of her The Special 2our, with Latto staying on as the opener.

Feid Revealed The Tracklist For His Upcoming Album ‘Sixdo’ And Released A Seaside ‘Malibu’ Video

Last night (November 13), Feid revealed that his next album Sixdo is coming next month. The Colombian singer also released the music video for his new single “Malibu.”

Feid is riding high off the sucesss of his latest release Feliz Cumpleaños Ferxxo Te Pirateamos El Álbum. Despite the LP leaking online ahead of schedule in September, it’s gone on to become the biggest drop of his career. The album was certified gold in the US after its first week out. The LP also became Feid’s first to reach the top 10 of Billboard‘s Hot Latin Albums chart when it climbed to No. 8.

Feliz Cumpleaños Ferxxo Te Pirateamos El Álbum was originally scheduled to drop on December 1. Now Feid has another release lined-up for December. On TikTok, he announced that his next album will be called Sixdo.

The LP will live up to it name with six tracks. He revealed that the songs on Sixdo will be “Malibu,” “La Pasamos Cabrón,” and “Un Chorrito Pa’ Las Animas.” Other song titles include “California,” “Hookia,” and “Le Pido a Dios.” It’s not yet known if the album will be released on December 1 or on another day during the month.

Feid also released the seaside video for “Malibu.” On the atmospheric reggaeton track, he teamed up with Chilean rapper Ak4:20 and one of the country’s top producers, Taiko. Feid embraces Baltimore club-like beats for the first time. He is currently touring the US on his sold-out US Trip Tour.

21 Savage Said That Nas Is ‘Not Relevant’ In Today’s Music Scene: ‘I Just Feel Like He Got A Loyal Ass Fanbase’

21 Savage has been living up to his name lately, particularly when it comes to his participation in live chats with fans. That’s something he’s been doing a lot of as he promotes his new album, Her Loss, reacting to memes featuring his collaborator Drake, and declaring that he’d “smoke” fellow 2016 XXL Freshman Kodak Black in a hits battle. He acquired another of these moments over the weekend during a Twitter Spaces chat about Nas and Hit-Boy’s newly released album, King’s Disease III.

As some of the participants brought up veteran rap icon Nas’ “relevance,” 21 — (who’s 30 years old and wasn’t even born yet when Nas made his debut in 1991 on Main Source’s “Live At The Barbecue”) had this to say: “I don’t feel like he’s relevant, he just has a loyal ass fanbase and he still makes good-ass music.” While the clip that has been circulating on Twitter doesn’t have much context, it’s probably fair to guess that Savage, whose own album just debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, is likely referring to the elder rapper’s chart impact.

Is 21 Savage right or wrong? I guess it all depends on how you look at it.

For reference, the first King’s Disease, released in 2020, won a Grammy and debuted at No. 5 on the B200, but only one of its songs charted on the Hot 100. Its follow-up, released a year later, sold 9,000 more units and landed at No. 3. This is impressive considering these were indie releases with little promotion, but given Nas has five No. 1 albums to his name (six, including The Firm album), this is something of a decline from his heyday. Fortunately, a loyal fanbase is all one needs to have an impact these days thanks to streaming and direct sales.

Nas is also something of a media mainstay, appearing in commercials for Hennessey and Nike that make use of his legacy as a hip-hop pioneer. But it’s not like he’s going viral on TikTok — which is where “the kids” do much of their music discovery and share their interests. It’s an interesting conundrum and not one that’s likely to be resolved anytime soon. While old-school hip-hop fans probably won’t take kindly to Savage’s comments, there are undoubtedly plenty of younger fans who will agree. As for Nas himself, he’s probably doing just fine either way as he keeps proving his impact and boasts on his new album that he’ll probably have 16-year-old fans in his sixties.

Margot Robbie Said Her ‘Pirates Of The Carribean’ Film Is Dead: ‘I Guess [Disney] Don’t Want To Do It’

Lately, women-led reboots of franchises have been very popular, even if they are not well-received. But still! There are lady ghost hunters and thieves out there too! And there have gotta be female pirates out in the world somewhere, and since representation is important, they deserve their own movie too! Specifically, one with Margot Robbie.

Robbie has been attached to a Pirates of the Caribbean film featuring a female lead for several years, though we all know how busy she is. While speaking to Vanity Fair, the Barbie actress confirmed that the Pirates revamp has been canceled.

“We had an idea and we were developing it for a while, ages ago, to have more of a female-led — not totally female-led, but just a different kind of story — which we thought would’ve been really cool,” Robbie explained of the reboot, which was announced in 2020. The movie was slated to be written by Birds of Prey screenwriter Christina Hodson, but Robbie confirmed that the project would not be moving forward due to Disney’s hesitation. “But I guess they don’t want to do it.”

Back in the spring, Pirates producer Jerry Bruckheimer confirmed that two sequels were moving forward, one with Robbie attached. “Yes. We’re talking to Margot Robbie. We are developing two Pirates scripts — one with her, one without,” he confirmed, adding, “The future is yet to be decided.” It seems like it has been decided after all. Sorry, pirates.

Who Will Perform At The 2022 American Music Awards (AMAs)?

The upcoming 2022 American Music Awards will feature the hottest artists across all genres performing, including Anitta, Ari Lennox, Carrie Underwood, Charlie Puth, David Guetta, Lil Baby, and more.

The annual award show takes place on Sunday, November 20, at 8 p.m. on ABC. Actor and comedian Wayne Brady will host, while DJ D-Nice will serve as the house DJ for the affair.

Stevie Wonder will join Charlie Puth and Ari Lennox to help honor Lionel Richie with a medley of his greatest hits. Richie is the recipient of the award show’s 2022 Icon Award.

Richie — a 17-time AMA winner — is also expected to take the stage to perform. The singer has the distinction of being “the only artist in history to be featured on the AMAs stage in every decade since the show’s inception,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Icon Award honors “an artist whose body of work has marked a global influence over the music industry.”

“I’m immensely grateful for a career that has taken me to places I never imagined that I’d go, from arenas worldwide to studio sets to the AMA stage,” Richie told THR. “I can recall one of the first times I got to perform at the AMAs. It was to sing ‘We Are the World’ among the most iconic musicians of my generation, so it is surreal to be receiving this recognition 36 years later.”

Richie was also recently inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame this May.

But it doesn’t stop there. Newcomers like GloRilla will also storm the stage for her debut performance on the AMAs stage, along with Nigerian artists such as Tems and Wizkid.

DJ Khaled Latest Dunk Attempted Resulted In Him Being Assed Out, For Lack Of A Better Term

DJ Khaled has always been known for baring his soul when it comes to chatting about his music, but this time he seemed to share a little more than fans were expecting to see — his butt.

Over the weekend, the DJ/producer posted a clip on his Instagram Story where he could be seen playing basketball. During the footage, we can see Khaled take flight as he rushes to the hoop to make a dunk. The only thing is, he had a bit of a plumber’s crack going.

Fans immediately took to social media to share their thoughts about seeing the “Staying Alive” artist bare it all. The Twitter timeline was instantly flooded with all kinds of memes and reactions to the moment.

“We not the best,” one person hilariously wrote.

Many folks were even questioning what led Khaled to make the post in the first place: “Why was he willing to post this?” another person tweeted.

Still, it’s important to note that while some of the jabs were funny, many were flat-out mean and reeked of fatphobia. And in a day and age where body positivity for all sizes has become increasingly more important in media and entertainment, it’s time we leave the fat jokes in the past.

When it comes to music, this past August, Khaled dropped his thirteenth studio album, God Did, with features from hip-hop legends such as Jay-Z and some of the hottest artists out right now, such as Latto, City Girls, Lil Durk, Quavo, Takeoff, 21 Savage, Nardo Wick, and more.

Harrison Ford And Helen Mirren Make Their ‘Yellowstone’ Debut In The ‘1923’ Teaser Trailer

Yellowstone is one of those shows that seems to be spawning an entire universe of new shows and stories, for good reason! Nobody can get enough of that Dutton family and their generational drama. There is the flagship series which began in 2018, and then there is the other prequel series 1883 which debuted earlier this year. The only thing that could make an already great show better is by inspiring a prequel with some veteran actors on board, which is exactly the case with 1923.

The latest Yellowstone prequel will star Hollywood legends, Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford, who will portray Cara and Jacob Dutton in the early 20th century, “when pandemics, historic drought, the end of Prohibition, and the Great Depression all plague the mountain west, and the Duttons who call it home.” Meanwhile, season five of Yellowstone also premieres this week.

Surprisingly, this will be the first time Ford has led a television show, not counting the 1978 Star Wars special, of course. He has starred in iconic blockbusters like Indiana Jones, Blade Runner, and some little-known movies about a war in space. Mirren, on the other hand, has starred in several television shows but more importantly, she will star in the upcoming Fast and Furious installment next year, so this whole 1923 thing is just to hold fans over until then.

Episode one of 1923 will debut on December 18th, while the rest of the episodes will continue in January on Paramount Plus. Check out the trailer above. Yeehaw!

Daddy Yankee, Kenia Os, and Danny Ocean Won Their First MTV Europe Music Awards

The MTV Europe Music Awards took place last night (November 13) in Düsseldorf, Germany. Many Latin acts won their first MTV EMAs trophies, including reggaeton pioneer Daddy Yankee and rising artists Kenia Os and Danny Ocean.

Something very inclusive about the MTV Europe Music Awards is that the music of Latin America is celebrated. The region is divided into separate categories so that more artists across different Latin American countries are recognized.

In the Best Caribbean Act category, artists from Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic were nominated. Daddy Yankee, who announced his impending retirement with his Legendaddy album, triumphed over Bad Bunny, Rauw Alejandro, and Myke Towers. Natti Natasha represented the Dominican Republic in the category.

In the Best Latin American North Act category, many of the top acts in Mexico competed for the prize. Kenia Os, who recently dropped her K23 album, won against fellow pop star Danna Paola, Kevin Kaarl, Natanael Cano, and Santa Fe Klan. She will tour the US for the first time next year with her K23 Tour.

The Best Latin American Central Central category was dominated by Colombian acts. Karol G, Feid, Manuel Turizo, and Camilo were competing the award. The were bested by the sole Venezuelan artist in the category, Danny Ocean. After releasing a second part of his @DannOcean album last week, he will tour the US for the first time next year.

The Best Latin American South Central category featured all Argentine artists. Tini won the award for a second time against Bizarrap, Duki, María Becerra, and Tiago PZK. Manu Gavassi took home the award for Best Brazilian Act. Brazilian superstar Anitta emerged victorious in the overall Best Latin Act category.

Some artists mentioned here are Warner Music artists. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Pete Davidson nailed why you can be mentally ill and in a healthy relationship

This story originally appeared on 05.25.18

Singer Ariana Grande and “Saturday Night Live” cast member Pete Davidson were dating back in May of 2018.

Neither star had confirmed the relationship outright, but their reps weren’t pushing back on reports claiming the two had linked up either. The singer and comedian’s playful interactions on Instagram certainly suggested to fans the romance was budding.

While many celebrated the news, it inevitably came with a side of backlash too. Some of the criticism, however, crossed an unfortunate line.

Trolls began pointing to Davidson’s history of mental illness to suggest he couldn’t be in a healthy relationship.

The comedian felt it necessary to shut that down. Fast.

“Normally, I wouldn’t comment on something like this cause like, fuck you,” Davidson wrote in a note he shared to his Instagram story. “But [I’ve] been hearing a lot of ‘people with BPD [Borderline Personality Disorder] can’t be in relationships’ talk. I just wanna let you know that’s not true.”

Davidson said he was diagnosed with BPD in 2016 after having lived through a “nightmare” year that involved rehab and grappling with the ups and downs of diagnosis. The comedian has also spoken openly about living with depression.

“Just because someone has a mental illness does not mean they can’t be happy and in a relationship,” Davidson wrote. “It also doesn’t mean that person makes the relationship toxic.”

After noting there are many life-changing treatments available for people like him, Davidson emphasized the importance of combating stigmas associated with mental illness.

“I just think it’s fucked up to stigmatize people as crazy and say that they are unable to do stuff that anyone can do,” he wrote. “It’s not their fault and it’s the wrong way for people to look at things.”

Davidson has been praised by mental health advocates for using his celebrity to humanize his illnesses — and poking fun at himself along the way.

In one “SNL” segment that aired shortly after he went public with his diagnoses, the comedian spoke candidly about his mental illness with “Weekend Update” host Colin Jost.

“If you’re in the cast of a late-night comedy show, it might help if they, you know, do more of your comedy sketches,” Davidson joked about ways others can help him get through his dark times. “I was born depressed, but it might make me feel better if I was on TV more.”

Like many comedians, Davidson often uses brash and cringeworthy lines as a form of therapy to overcome trauma. His father died on 9/11, for instance, and the comedian’s folded the devastating loss into his routine with a comedic spin.

Laughter may not be the best medicine, but it certainly can help.

Davidson ended his message on Instagram clarifying why he decided to speak up in the first place.

“I’m simply writing this because I want everyone out there who has an illness to know that it’s not true [that you can’t be mentally ill and be in a relationship] and that anyone who says that is ill and full of shit,” he wrote. “Mental illness is not a joke; it’s a real thing.”

“For all those struggling I want you to know that I love you and I understand you and it is going to be OK,” Davidson concluded. “That’s all. Love to everyone else.”
