What’s Next For Kanye West’s Yeezy Brand?

Kanye West, one of rap’s most polarizing figures, has been losing deals left and right, in response to his antisemitic comments, but will that be enough? Many people wonder what the next move for the Chicago rapper and his Yeezy brand is.

For the first time, it seems Ye’s empire is finally starting to crack. A “Ye exodus” has been bubbling over since the rapper made his controversial comments, that ultimately got him kicked off social media platforms such as Instagram and Twitter.

Next would be fashion powerhouse-related brands like Balenciaga and Vogue Magazine. After that was his talent agency, CAA.

Most recently, Adidas has officially cut ties with West saying, “Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech. Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful, and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect, and fairness,” in a recent statement.

Then, the company laid out the Yeezy forecast: “After a thorough review, the company has taken the decision to terminate the partnership with Ye immediately, end production of Yeezy branded products, and stop all payments to Ye and his companies. Adidas will stop the Adidas Yeezy business with immediate effect.”

The famous sportswear brand faced immense pressure from the public, demanding it severs ties with the “Jesus Walks” rapper, particularly after West said on the Drink Champs podcast earlier this month, “I can say antisemitic sh*t and Adidas cannot drop me.” The rapper’s statements have been linked with some neo-Nazi demonstrators, who placed a banner over the 405 highway in Los Angeles that read, “Kanye is right about the Jews.”

It’s unclear what is in store for Kanye West. There has been no word on any new music or projects, and it’s doubtful anyone (with sense) will be collaborating with the rapper soon.

In Which We Attempt To Rank The ‘House Of The Dragons’ Fire Breathers After The Season One Finale

(House of the Dragon spoilers will be found below.)

The House of the Dragon season finale gave us an enormous miscalculation by Aemond Targaryen, the “one-eyed Becky” who can’t control his own dragon. This sounds about right for a Daemon wannabe whose villain origin story sources from a gifted pig. Further, Aemond’s actions not only tipped the scales for Rhaenyra to have the worst day(s) ever but also officially launched the Targaryen civil war.

With that outcome looming for next season, I wanted to rank all of the dragons of House of the Dragon because we’re going to (eventually) see at least 17 of them in this Game of Thrones prequel series. Of course (and this is to be expected), we haven’t seen all of them yet, and with a few of them (revealed so far), we’ve only seen them in fleeting glimpses, so I’ll rank the most impactful dragons that we’ve seen in this first season. As silly as it sounds, I’ll list the beasts from “worst” to “best” on how likable they are, rather than how badass they might be (because they’re largely acting on instinct, but we’re free to enjoy the results or not). Also, they’re CGI-rendered beasts, so let’s lighten up.

[Note: Dragons who won’t be ranked here (due to lack of action and through no fault of their own) include Tyraxes (rider: Joffrey Targaryen), Moondancer (rider: Baela Valraryon), Gunfire (rider: King Aegon Targaryen), Dreamfyre (rider: Helaena Targaryen), and Silverwing (thus far unclaimed).]

8. Vhagar:

House of the Dragon Vhagar
HBO

Vhagar is on the dragon sh*t list right now. Granted, this isn’t entirely her fault, but she’s a very bad, loathsome beast who chomped Arrax (and Lucerys Targaryen) into shreds. The last thing this duo saw alive was ^^^ this face, which swiftly led to this carnage.

House of the Dragon
HBO

Let’s talk this out, though. Vhagar has been through some stuff. She lost her rider, Laena Valaryon, who forced her own dragon to kill her. Then Aemond claimed her, and she had to deal with his faux-swaggery BS every day. And arguably, what we saw from Vhagar sources directly from her horrible rider’s inability to control her. The cackling Aemond made a grave miscalculation by trying to “scare” Luke after being denied the eye-for-the-eye payback that he demanded, and Vhagar (seemingly enraged by a little fire to the face from a comparatively tiny dragon) simply decided to swallow Arrax for a snack. We’ll talk about this more in a moment, but right now, I’d like to stress that both Vhagar and Aemond are to blame, but Aemond really should have known better. He seemed genuinely shocked that a giant dragon ate the hell out of Arrax and Luke.

This brings up the question of whether Vhagar was truly out of control, or if Aemond is simply out of his league by riding the oldest (and biggest) dragon in the world. All of that too-little-too-late shouting in High Valyrian (for Vhagar to “serve” him) wasn’t going to go too far after all of his laughing and spurring on Vhagar to chase Arrax and Luke. Then there was Aemond’s “oh f*ck” face once he realized what he’d done. Good.

7. Vermax:

House of the Dragon Vermax
Via HBO on Twitter

Vermax (with Jacaerys riding) took flight out of Dragonstone at the same time as Arrax and Luke did during the season finale, but looking cinematic is much of what Vermax ended up doing. And yes, he is awfully cute (I mean, look at this dude), and hopefully, he’s doing alright, I’m docking some points for his failure to swoop in and help rain a little fire upon Vhagar. Granted, this probably would have led to Vhagar eating Vermax, too (and that would have been an even worse scenario for Team Black), but (as the saying goes) it’s the thought that counts.

6. Vermithor:

House of the Dragon
HBO

What did we see Vermithor (also known as the Bronze Fury) do during the finale, exactly? Not too much besides spew some fire and listen to Daemon sing in High Valyrian without torching him. That’s some admirable restraint, and if Daemon ever deserved a torching, the episode in which he choked Rhaenyra would be the one. Vermithor was the mystery dragon teased in a trailer, and people wondered if this would possibly be Cannibal, but no dice. Vermithor — who currently has no rider — will undoubtedly be called upon for Team Black in the coming civil war. Daemon was attempting to claim/tame this relatively large dragon, and hopefully, Vermithor will climb onboard and help even out the scoreboard. After all, the Targaryens have more dragons than the Hightowers do, but the Targaryen dragons haven’t been to battle yet. And I can’t fault Vermithor for anything yet besides failing to at least singe Daemon’s hair.

5. Syrax:

Syrax HOTD
HBO

There’s really not too terribly much I can say for Syrax at the moment because she’s been sidelined from action lately, given that Rhaenyra’s been busy birthing several children (sadly, including a stillborn daughter). However, Syrax should be credited with being a young dragon who appears (so far) to be obedient, which might seem weird to say about a dragon that’s also catlike in her behavior. Also, she’s been cranking out eggs, which will no doubt be strategically valuable in this war and in the future. And she’s now the Queen’s dragon! That counts for a lot.

4. Meleys:

House of the Dragon Meleyes
HBO

Alright, so there’s been plenty of debate on whether or not Rhaenys should have torched the Hightowers while she had the chance. All hell broke loose when her dragon, Meleys, burst through the Dragon Pit floor (likely as the foretold Beast Beneath The Boards) during the coronation ceremony. Civilians did die, but Meleys only acted in accordance with her rider’s wishes. And although she clearly would have enjoyed incinerating the Hightowers, she held back from doing so and waited for a “dracarys!” that never came. I desperately want Meleys to be the dragon that gets to torch something big later on in the game, but for now, she’s a damn good and obedient beast.

3. Ceraxes:

Caraxes
HBO

Poor Ceraxes is seemingly being thrown to the wayside (while Daemon courts Vermithor with those docile tones) for an older, larger dragon after serving Daemon as well as possible at the Stepstones. So pour one out for the jilted dragon who hasn’t done anything wrong besides not be an absolute unit. Ceraxes acted sufficiently menacing while Daemon pressed members of the kingsguard to express their allegiance to Rhaenyra. Granted, Daemon’s own motives were conflicted as hell throughout the episode, but Ceraxes brought results. He served his rider well!

2. Seasmoke:

Seasmoke
HBO

In the current House of the Dragon chronology, Seasmoke is sitting unclaimed on Driftmark after Laenor Valaryon very well couldn’t take his dragon while escaping to gay paradise after the faking of his own death. So, we gotta feel sorry for Seasmoke and also acknowledge that this ever-so-nimble dragon actually saved Daemon’s ass from the Crabfeeder’s forces. If not for Seasmoke, we wouldn’t have gotten to see the many turns that Daemon’s character has taken after initially appearing as a mere salty rogue prince. So, credit should go to where credit is due and all that.

1. Arrax:

House of the Dragon Arrax
HBO

None of this show’s dragons are winners yet, which makes ranking them tough. This top spot is materializing due to a whirl of messy emotions from the season finale’s climactic battle, which wasn’t even close to a fair battle because Arrax never stood a chance against Vhagar. Clearly, Aemond disastrously screwed up and failed to control a massive dragon, possibly proving that he never should have claimed Vhagar in the first place. Yet that claiming is done, and Vhagar is Team Green, which has now kickstarted the Targaryen civil war into full force.

It’s all great storytelling, but the initial collateral damage would be poor Arrax and Luke. Both dragon and rider are young and inexperienced, so we can excuse how wee Arrax unloaded some fire in Vhagar’s face. And that’s when Vhagar decided to continue going rogue and refuse to let Aemond reel her in. The key realization here is that, yes, Luke didn’t know what he was doing, but he didn’t intend to go into battle. He merely intended to be a messenger while delivering a message from his mother. And that’s when Aemond started demanding Luke’s eye, and after Aemond was denied that satisfaction, he went into maniac mode while spurring Vhagar to chase Luke and Arrax.

This ended with the demise of the young dragon and his rider, and Rhaenyra will rain fury on the Hightowers as a result. Countless people and many dragons will undoubtedly die as a result of Aemond’s stunning miscalculation. It’s tragic, and the audience will likely pay tribute to this fallen duo for years to come. So for that reason, Arrax gets to be the most pivotal (and therefore, the best) dragon of this ranking, and also, my god, this (barely visible) scene — where the frightened Arrax and Luke prepare to flee — is a soul crusher. Their bond was one for the ages and illustrates why the Targaryen dynasty rose to power in the first place.

Arrax wasn’t powerful enough, by far. And he wasn’t the most badass dragon, but he won the audience’s hearts. RIP.

HBO’s House of the Dragon airs on Sundays at 9:00pm EST.

Here Are The Best Halloween Costumes From Music Artists Of 2022

Halloween is right around the corner! In the spirit of spooky season, many music artists are celebrating early with costume reveals — whether it’s going as Pamela Anderson in Barb Wire, a nurse, or something completely different.

Continue scrolling for the best Halloween costumes from your favorite musicians this year.

Megan Thee Stallion started on October 1, sharing photos to social media of her wandering around her house in a carved pumpkin head. A hilarious callback to Megan’s pics from last year, she has become synonymous with Halloween — both for the pumpkin memes and her incredibly creative costumes. (Hello, last year’s Pinhead was pure genius!) We are literally waiting on pins to see what she comes up with for this year’s official costume.

Doja Cat debuted a costume about four weeks ago on Instagram too, as she was dressed as a nurse, with the Halloween-themed Elvira movie playing in the background. “happy what?” she captioned, complete with a few festive emojis.

Doechii joined the pre-Halloween party shortly after, with an incredibly-creative costume as Anderson’s Barb Wire character. With three different poses in the outfit, it was made into a custom movie poster. Obsessed. Or, as commenter Princess Nokia wrote, “Ate.”

We will be updating this list as more celeb costumes continue rolling in.

Knifeplay — Animal Drowning

Knifeplay’s singles for Animal Drowning were alluring fragments, like shards of a beautiful mosaic. Now that the album is here, listeners get to experience the art in full, as they should. Animal Drowning is meant to be absorbed entirely and with patience as if it’s a movie. The sonic landscapes are immersive and hypnotizing; every sound is intentional and evokes visceral emotions, whether it’s the grungy guitar on “Lonely Sun” or the poignant piano on “Ryan Song.”

Dry Cleaning — Stumpwork

Dry Cleaning‘s new album Stumpwork was first previewed with the compelling lead single, “Don’t Press Me,” which pulled listeners in with its jaunty rhythm and typical Dry Cleaning personality — acerbic, droll, and self-aware. It’s hard to follow up a debut as strong as New Long Leg, but Stumpwork retains and builds on their appeal, intensifying the exuberance of their twang, deadpan humor, and weird words that accurately capture our times.

Arctic Monkeys — The Car

Arctic Monkeys are constantly reinventing themselves, which can lead to polarizing results for die-hard fans and skeptical critics. From their unrelenting punk debut Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not to their romantic 2018 slow-burner Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino, the English band have a lot to live up to. The Car may not be for everyone, but it will captivate those who enjoy their tamer sound, putting them in a trance with immersive, shimmering instrumentation and Alex Turner’s effortlessly stunning vocals. Plus, there are moments with more groove, such as “Hello You” and “I Ain’t Quite Where I Think I Am.”

Frankie Cosmos — Inner World Peace

Scattered throughout the new Frankie Cosmos album Inner World Peace are insight and charm: “I was raised in writing love songs for someone I hate / Now when I write a real one it feels like fate,” Greta Kline sings cleverly on “Wayne.” No matter the intensity of the emotions, the instrumentation is light and amicable, bursting with color and an endearing aura.

Tegan And Sara — Crybaby

Not only is Tegan And Sara’s TV series High School streaming now, but their album Crybaby is finally out as well. Singles like “Smoking Weed Alone” and “Yellow” hinted at a playful yet introspective and mature album, and the rest of the songs have proved that interesting balance. It’s exuberant but thoughtful; it evokes all different sorts of feelings within the listener, never losing their attention for a second.

Jobber — Hell In A Cell

Any artist on Exploding In Sound Records is worth checking out — whether it’s the explosive shoegaze band Ovlov or the mesmerizing indie rockers Sour Widows. So it’s not surprising that Jobber, who just released Hell In A Cell on EIS, shred hard. The songs are grungy and infectious; the riffs and basslines are memorable, especially on the standout “No Holds Barred.”

Feeble Little Horse — “Chores”

The idiosyncratic act Feeble Little Horse is the latest signing to the label Saddle Creek as of today. “Chores” is a hell of a way to kick off this new advancement — the song moves chaotically, immediately dragging the listener into the alluringly messy instrumentation and eccentric storyline: “I got you all dolled up / Wearing my Christmas gift / But you look dumb as f*ck / And I’m sick of it / Get some new sh*t baby!”

Blondshell — “Cartoon Earthquake”

Cartoon Earthquake” follows “Olympus,” “Kiss City,” and “Sepsis,” which were magnetic and resonant enough for her to gain traction and be named one of our must-hear emerging artists of July. This new Spotify Single keeps up the momentum, packing intense emotion into such addictive sounds and incisive words: “You want to put me in your pocket / And take me around / But I’ll get heavy / You’ll have to put me down.”

Cavetown — “Frog”

Cavetown’s music is tender and thoughtful, and this new song “Frog” is no exception. It’s a love ballad with calm instrumentation and beautiful lyrics that work as the centerpiece: “I’m gonna tell you you’re pretty / Till it makes you sick / Floating out of the city / When the tide comes in.”

Babygirl — “Always”

Babygirl’s hit “I Wish I Never Met You” is the type of song that makes you gasp when you come across it after not listening to it for a while. The duo makes songs with spellbinding, building sounds that work as a backdrop for the distinct vocals that speak-sing lyrics that mix intense feeling with humor: “Is there something in your eye / Or are you just sad to see me? / Is your goldfish still alive?”

Ted Cruz Is Bragging About Being Unfazed By ‘The View’ Protestors Calling Him A ‘Piece Of Sh*t’ As New Footage Of The Chaos Emerges

After getting roasted at Yankee Stadium on Sunday night, Ted Cruz stopped by The View on Monday morning where even more chaos broke out. During his appearance, activists started yelling from the audience and blasting Cruz for being a “climate-denying piece of sh*t.” It got so raucous that The View actually had to stop taping so that security could escort the protestors out of the building.

While making a stop on Fox & Friends the next morning, Cruz opened up about the experience and claimed that The View hosts were “embarrassed” and shaken by the situation while he took the whole thing in stride. Via Mediaite:

Cruz continued to explain that “I think the hosts were a little bit rattled. They said in the entire history of the show they’ve never had anyone do that.”

“I think they were more rattled than I was,” he said. “I’m like, look, this is politics. They are being knuckleheads. I sort of laughed and kept on going. That’s just part of the world we live in now.”

As much as we hate to admit this, Cruz is telling the truth. A viral TikTok video posted by Extinction Rebellion NYC, an environmentalist group taking responsibility for the protest, shows the chaos breaking out from the audience’s perspective. Cruz does, in fact, sit there grinning the whole time as Whoopi Goldberg fires back at the protestors and demands that they leave. This type of liberal infighting is practically Christmas for conservatives like Cruz. You can see the protest footage below:

@xrnyc

A rebel disrupted The View today, interrupting (dis)honorary, climate-denying guest Ted Cruz. This kicks off OccupyParkAve, in collaboration with @NY Communities for Change, @Sunrise NYC and other allies, with protests taking place along Park Avenue all week. #TheView #TedCruz #NYC #Texas #Farmers

“Excuse me! Ladies, excuse us,” Goldberg can be heard yelling in the video. “Let us do our job. Let us do our job. We hear what you have to say but you gotta go.”

Doja Cat Flashed Her Breasts At Her Birthday Party, Making Good On A 2-Year Old Promise To Fans

Two years ago, Doja Cat vowed to “show my boobs so hard” if her song “Say So” went to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. At the time, she admitted that she was trolling after it did, which some of those fans didn’t take so well. Let’s just say that the whole “racial chat rooms showing feet” thing definitely seemed motivated by spite.

But during her masquerade-themed 27th birthday party in LA last night, she apparently had so much fun that she partied herself right out of her clothes. She even jumped in some photo booth pictures with her breasts exposed with Dreezy, Hailey Baldwin, and others. Unsurprisingly, someone took a flick of the printed photos and they began circulating online.

Unfazed, Doja herself commented on the photos, writing, “IF ANYBODY GOT NUDES OF ME FROM LAST NIGHT PLEASE SEND CUZ I WANNA POST EM.” It didn’t take very long for fans to fulfill her request. While it doesn’t look like she wound up reposting them, she’s social media savvy enough to know that anyone who really wanted to see them would. She even joked that her fans were too prudish to share them.

Of course, we can’t post them here, but you probably don’t need the help. Happy birthday to Doja Cat — maybe now fans can stop pestering her to always “look f*ckable.”

Sascha Penn On Getting Viewers To Care About The ‘Raising Kanan’ Characters And What To Expect In Season Three

Since its inception in 2014, STARZ’s Power has done a great job of controlling our emotions. The series has made us despise characters one minute, all to make us love and root for them the next. It’s something we see with Tariq, who was deemed a nuisance in the original Power before becoming a favorite in the Power Book II: Ghost spin-off. We also see it with Marvin’s character in the first two seasons of Power Book III: Raising Kanan.

In order to swing the emotions and feelings of viewers from one side of the spectrum to the other, you have to make them overly invested in the overall storyline and their individual plots. That’s what Raising Kanan showrunner and creator Sascha Penn says is most important as the South Jamaica, Queens-based show gets built out episode by episode.

After an explosive finale to conclude season two, Penn sat down with Uproxx to discuss season two, keeping to the show’s pace, and what we should expect in season three.

With season two of Raising Kanan now in the books, what can you say that you’re most proud of in terms of the show’s growth and development?

I’m proud of the character development that we’ve been able to explore. I think all these characters have evolved in different ways. I think there are the obvious versions; Marvin has taken a real journey from season one to the end of season two. All the characters have evolved, maybe at different paces and in different ways, but they’ve all sort of changed. As a writer, especially a television writer, that’s really our stock and trade: character. That’s why people tune into TV, frankly.

I’ll be honest man, I’m just really proud of the work that we’ve all done. I think this spin-off is the toughest one in a way because we don’t have any of the original cast in it. It was a real big and courageous fling by the network to be like, ‘Yeah, let’s do a Power spin-off that doesn’t have Tommy, Tariq, [or] any of the original characters. It’s going to be a period piece and it’s going to be entirely new actors that no one’s ever seen before in an entirely new world.’ I think at the end of season two, we can definitively say, ‘You know what? It works, [and] people care.’ That, to me, is really gratifying.

I feel like season one of the show established the world that surrounds Kanan, and in season two, we see it crumble in different ways — even growth comes at a price. Why was this the direction for season two?

It’s a short stop at the top. I think it was 50 Cent’s voiceover [that] says that about Cartier, but it is. This is not a business where people get to sort of kick up their feet for too long. It’s up and down, it’s up and down, it’s up and down. Empires rise and fall very, very quickly and I think that’s definitely part of what’s happened in season two. I think with Lou specifically, he has a very complicated relationship, not just with his family, but with business in general. He has a real sort of ambivalence about who he’s been and what he’s done. That’s a big part of who that character is. He’s sort of wrestling with himself and, by the way, so much of this is grounded in real life. At that particular time, in the early ’90s, so much of the guys who were hustling did try to push their money into the music game. That’s what Lou was doing and we’ll see more of that as we go forward, him trying to figure [it] out. All these characters are really trying to figure out who they are, and understand how they exist in this world, including Kanan and Jukebox. I think you can expect that there will be more of what you just sort of described: the lumpiness of their journey. They hit great highs, but they also hit real low lows.

You mentioned earlier that the Raising Kanan spin-off is the hardest to conduct out of all the Power spin-offs. I agree with the reason mentioned, but also because it’s a prequel so viewers know what you’re working towards. You obviously don’t want to rush things, but how have you decided on the show’s pace knowing that there is an endpoint that people are anticipating?

That’s a great, great point. That is, frankly, the fundamental challenge of this thing, to be honest. People know how the story ends and they know that guy, they know who he becomes, right? When Courtney [Kemp] and 50 came to me originally, the challenge has always been, ‘How do we make that interesting?’ Well, one way is the character can’t start out in the same place he ends, [because] obviously he becomes that person, so you have to tell that story.

I pay attention to stuff that people say online, like everybody else, and one of the things we’ve heard fairly consistently is, ‘Oh, the pacing, the pacing, the pacing,’ but listen, we have to acclimate you to these characters. You don’t know them, you don’t know this world. This is 1992 South Jamaica, Queens. This isn’t Truth, this isn’t Ghost, this isn’t Tommy. We gotta get you invested in these characters and this world because if you’re not invested in them, you won’t give a sh*t what we do to them, you won’t care — and by the way, as a writer, neither would I. We’re taking the time to develop these characters and get our audience, not just invested, but also sort of seeing themselves in the characters. The thing that was so cool about Power was that it existed in this really rarefied space. Ghost was at the tippity-top of the food chain, [and] that’s not necessarily where Raq and Unique are. They’re at the tippity-top of the food chain maybe in South Jamaica, but not they’re not where Ghost was at all. It’s just it’s a very, very different story.

I think Marvin has by far exhibited the best character development of anyone in the series. What made his character prime for this specific development as opposed to others in the show?

He ended the first season in such a f*cked up place, but you saw how he wrestled with it. Let me just back up and say, first off, it all starts with London Brown’s performance, and maybe I said this earlier, but you have to have an actor who can pull this off because it’s a pretty high ladder that you’re climbing to do this — to take him from where he ended in season one, to get him to the place where you just said he’s your favorite character. Again, I sadly pay attention to too much of this sh*t, and people were so angry, and some people really hated Marvin, at the end of season one. Now, all of a sudden, Marvin is probably one of the most beloved characters in the series.

I always felt like with that character, the way I had originally even imagined him, is that there was something really sensitive about him. There was this innate sensitivity, and that he was sort of injured and damaged, but then he had this big heart. I think that’s kind of what we see here in season two: that he is capable of being self-aware. He goes reluctantly into this anger management thing in season two, that’s not something he necessarily wants to do at first, but then he gets in there and it starts to resonate.

For me, part of my own journey, part of everyone’s f*cking journey, is we can get better. You don’t have to stay stuck in that spot. It ain’t easy, and it’s definitely not fun to really do the hard work and heavy lifting of figuring out how to be a better version of yourself. It’s f*cking hard work, but it is worthwhile. It can change your life, man. I am no self-help guru, I don’t know sh*t, I’m still figuring it out all the time. But I am kind of amazed, even at this point in my life, at my own capacity to be better.

Of all the characters, who do you think has the most influence on raising and molding Kanan?

I think Raq is Kanan’s bedrock — no pun intended. She is the sun around which he orbits, which is really problematic and complicated. I do think that she is everything to him in all the best and worst ways. Now, keep in mind, he does have this extended family, certainly Jukebox, and his uncles are critically important to him, as well as his newfound father. But I do think at the end of the day, it always comes back to Raq. That relationship will go a long way towards explaining how Kanan becomes the Kanan that you now are in Power.

What can we expect in season three of Raising Kanan?

I mean look, if you liked the finale, then I think you’ll feel very satisfied with where things go in season three. That doesn’t mean that there’s a shootout and bodies are dropping in every episode. I do think that in season three, there’s a lot that happens, and there are some new characters that emerge. We’ve done, I think, a very decent job pacing this thing out so we can get to where we are now. Like I said to you earlier, if you don’t care about these characters, you’re not going to care about the show. We’ve spent a good amount of time over the past two seasons developing these characters, making them feel human, and exploring their humanity. I think we’ve done a good enough job that people are responding well, right? So I think if you liked the finale, you’re going to really, really like season three because season three continues on with the groundwork that the finale laid out.

Season 2 of ‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’ is out now on STARZ.

Marjorie Taylor Greene Claims That She Was ‘Swatted’ For A Sixth Time And That The Caller Wants Her ‘Murdered By Police’

Marjorie Taylor Greene claims she was swatted for a sixth time on Monday night. The ultra-MAGA congresswoman, who recently lost a sizable chunk of cash investing in Donald Trump’s Truth Social, wrote on Tuesday morning that whoever is behind the prank is trying to engineer a deadly outcome.

“I was swatted for the 6th time last night,” Greene tweeted. “Swatting is a very serious crime. The caller wants to have their victim murdered by police. But it is also a giant abuse of police resources and time, which is another reason it is a serious crime. God bless my local police.”

“Swatting” involves calling the police and reporting a false crime at a residence in an effort to provoke a SWAT team response. Greene was first targeted by the prank back in August, and police reportedly confirmed the suspect’s motive: Punish Greene for her anti-transgender stance. It was an unusual twist because swatting is predominantly used against left-leaning targets. Although, it does have a history of being used as a very, very stupid prank amongst streamers.

Greene’s case is also an interesting juxtaposition because swatting hopes for a deadly overreaction from police, and the odds of that happening are very good. Especially when minorities are involved. However, Greene is a white lady from Georgia, so she’s fine and still tweeting things like “God bless my local police” after suggesting they could’ve just killed her. We live in a neat world.

Who Dropped Kanye West Over His Antisemitic Comments?

Ye, also known as Kanye West, was dropped this morning by Adidas due to antisemitic comments he had made. Over the weekend, in Los Angeles, West’s hate speech remarks were used by people on signs above a freeway, with many online calling companies to take a stance. In early October, after West had already debuted shirts bearing “White Lives Matter” at Paris Fashion Week, the rapper took to Twitter to spew hate — that has since gotten him banned from both there and Instagram. In the weeks since the posts were made, companies have dropped West as a client to stand with the Jewish community.

“I can say antisemitic things, and Adidas can’t drop me. Now what? Now what?” West previously said on a now-removed episode of Drink Champs.

West being dropped from his Adidas deal, which sold his Yeezy shoes, will cost $250 million. The company’s statement reads, “Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech. Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness.” They are ending production of all Yeezy-branded products and immediately stopping his payments.

He was also dropped by Balenciaga, where West had been a longtime fan of the company, following Paris Fashion Week. The luxury designer brand told WWD, “Balenciaga has no longer any relationship nor any plans for future projects related to this artist.”

Another fashion-related powerhouse, in the form of Vogue‘s Anna Wintour, was reported by Page Six to have cut ties with him in the magazine’s future issues. West previously (and controversially) posted remarks about Gabriella Karefa-Johnson after she critiqued his fashion show. Vogue spoke out in a statement in her defense.

MRC, a production studio, was creating a documentary about West — one that has since been shelved. “This morning, after discussion with our filmmakers and distribution partners, we made the decision not to proceed with any distribution for our recently completed documentary about Kanye West,” MRC executives shared in a statement to Variety. “We cannot support any content that amplifies his platform.”

Yesterday, West was also dropped by his talent agency, CAA, according to The Los Angeles Times. A statement by the agency has not been released.

Meanwhile, Netflix, which made a West documentary on the streaming platform previously, said they are not removing it, according to Page Six.

Matt Smith Has Been Called A ‘F*cking Genius’ For His Suggestion While Shooting The ‘House Of The Dragon’ Finale

HBO’s House of the Dragon season one ended with an instantly iconic shot. Maybe not as iconic as the final shot in the first season of Game of Thrones (less dragons and nudity, at least), but Princess Rhaenys, I mean, Queen Rhaenys staring into the camera full of fury after learning about the death of her son Lucerys is plenty memorable.

And we partially have Matt Smith to thank for it.

Emma D’Arcy (Rhaenys) told British GQ that they were “nervous” to shoot the final scene “because by that point, there had been so many kinds of mountainous shapes in the landscape of that episode. I wanted to find clarity with a new kind of earth-shaking piece of news. But I actually had the most beautiful day of shooting.” D’Arcy also credited “f*cking genius” Matt Smith (Daemon) for suggesting “the idea that Daemon should give Rhaenyra the news while we’re both walking away from camera, towards the fireplace.”

They continued, “It was a sublime choice, and I could see it instantly. We’ve sort of touched on it, but I think losing a child, losing her son, it reframes grief immediately.” Add this to the list of reasons why Smith is so damn good on House of the Dragon.
