Fans Are Raving About EST Gee And Jack Harlow’s Track Record As A Duo After Hearing ‘Backstage Passes’

EST Gee’s new album I Never Felt Nun is out now, and listeners are very pleased with a certain hometown collaboration on there. Gee’s fellow Louisville lyricist Jack Harlow, with whom he has collaborated three times already, appears on “Backstage Passes” and it has fans reflecting on their overall body of work together.

Harlow opens the record saying “I became what you fantasized about becomin’ / Had to quit sendin’ music out ’cause somebody f*ck around and leak somethin’ / Every girl that I’ve messed with knows what’s up but they keep comin’ / Pretty sure at this point they don’t want to know the secrets I keep from ’em.”

Gee joins the song around the one-minute mark and trades lines back and forth with the “First Class” rapper before taking off on his own. “Lights camera action / Don’t stop, keep goin’, it’s relaxin’ / You ain’t comin’ on tour, how you actin’? / She seen my Con’, got to ask me,” Gee raps.

“Backstage Passes” has fans saying that the two have never missed on a song together and some fans are even requesting a collaborative project, which Gee has spoken on before. Their previous records together include “The Department,” “Rotten,” and “Route 66.” With such an impressive track record and Gee’s seal of approval, a joint project between the two may not be such a far-fetched idea.

G Herbo And Future Deliver Big Bag Talk In The Boastful New Single ‘Blues’

G Herbo is back with his new single “Blues” featuring Future. Herbo brands his usual aggressive delivery, rapping “Give her racks, she on my nerves / Get it back I hit the stu’ / Be in the traffic with the crew / Keep my savage in the coupe” over the ATL Jacob production.

Jeremy Zucker And Benee Find Joy In A Breakup On Their New Song, ‘I’m So Happy’

Two of the faces of cynical gen-Z pop have combined forces for a new tongue-in-cheek breakup anthem. Joined by Benee, Jeremy Zucker is expressing gratitude over the end of a relationship in “I’m So Happy.”

Driven by a breezy, plucky guitar, the instrumental creates a happy, cheery mood, despite the fairly dark lyrical matter.

Zucker opens the song, making it clear that being anywhere in any sort of situation is better than being with their ex.

“Sunny days or cold nights / It don’t matter the weather / What could be better than paradise? / Feels so right without you,” they sing.

Zucker sings solo on the song’s first chorus and is later accompanied by Benee for the second, cheekily singing. “I’m so glad to know you / Won’t be here to f*ck with my mood / No bullsh*t to argue / I don’t hold a thing against you / I’m so grateful / Every day I’m smiling way more / I’m so happy you’re not here.”

In her individual verse, Benee details the toxic cycles of a past relationship, singing, “You’d call me up / We’d f*ck / Make up / But I couldn’t see it back then / That loving you is just a phase, man.”

Kaash Paige And 6lack Refuse To Look Back On Their New Song, ‘Miss My Dawgs’

Kaash Paige and 6lack have reunited, but their musical chemistry on their latest collab creates a feeling of distance. On their latest, “Miss My Dawgs,” the two long to reconnect with people from their individual pasts, however, for their own well-being, they choose not to.

Paige opens the song, with her signature soft, sweet vocals, singing, “Switching sides on me / Thought you were the homie / But I’d rather be, I’d rather be lonely.” She laments this loss briefly, before she takes “a shot for [her] real team.”

6lack hops in with the second verse, reflecting on how he’s cut certain people out of his life.

“They can’t fit the picture, so I cut them out the frame,” he sings without any regret.

“’Miss My Dawgs’ is just about missing family members, or missing long-lost friends that you know you can’t hang out with anymore,” said Paige in a statement, “but it can go for anything. I remember sitting on my homie’s balcony in Miami, drinking shroom tea and I came up with the idea and just kept singing it and was like ‘Man I gotta make this song tomorrow.’ I went to the studio recorded it, left a verse open, and sent it straight to 6lack.”

Easy Steps To Improving Your Health While You’re At Work

Every New Year, a large group of people makes the decision that they would like to live healthier. There is a fair amount of this crowd who decide to start their wellness journeys by purchasing expensive exercise and gym memberships with the anticipation that they will be “tricked” into making it a priority. A few months down the road, those machines are used to dry laundry and the membership dues are being paid but no visits are being made.

The simple fact is that the 30 minutes on the elliptical or at the gym pales in comparison to how most of us are spending the largest chunk of our day — at work. So why not set up a healthy foundation and baseline before diving fully into the fitness grind? There is a lot that can be accomplished by implementing small, proactive changes into our regular habits during those working hours. Once you are on a roll with the routine, combine that momentum with proper sleep and regular workout sessions, and the sky is the limit.

Here are a few quick fixes that will get you headed in the right direction.

Eat A Good Breakfast

There are a variety of studies on the subject, but the main consensus for most people having a nutritional bite at the start of the day is beneficial [study]. For those who don’t feel like breakfast, occasionally there can be bad habits that cause that such as eating too late at night or consuming too many items that are hunger deterrents.

For Starters: This is a great and energy-packed breakfast option from M.S. chef Dan Churchill which can be made quickly the night before so that you don’t have to worry about waking up early for prep time. Experiment with the amounts and find a combination that works before for you.

Keep Healthy Snacks Around

There is no question that if you aren’t having a good breakfast and then aren’t keeping healthy snacks around then that hunger is going to come in a big way eventually. There is a target amount of calories that we should be consuming in a day, on average around 2,000 for women and 2,500 for men [study]. Ideally, you aren’t getting all of those at the end of the day, so having a good intake during the work day is a positive.

For Starters: The goal is to meal and snack prep for yourself with large batches so that you don’t have to spend too much, but there are fairly inexpensive options for large batch purchases that can get you on the right track. Orgain plant protein have a great nutritional make-up, not to mention being pretty tasty, and RX Bars have a great ingredient list for a snack bar. Both are fairly available as far as supermarkets and online delivery go.

Drink Enough Water

Projects for work can require intense focus whether manual or digital, and getting away from your station can seem virtual (and literally) impossible. Studies say that water intake for men should be 15.5 cups for men and 11.5 cups for women on average [study]. So unless you are going to get up about a dozen times a day to fill up your water cup, there’s a huge benefit to keeping a container around that can contain and keep cold a quart or more.

For Starters: Containers like this one from Magic Bottle have visible indicators to keep you conscious of your water goals for the day. They are a great way to learn how much you really need to drink, and what kind of pacing is required to get the correct amount. Don’t forget to clean your bottles regularly.

Get Up And Move

There is a lot of research out of acclaimed institutions like Columbia University that have done research on what has come to be known as “sitting disease.” So many of our attention these days is spent with “activities” that keep us no active at all. So getting up regularly during the day when possible, and taking advantage of doing calls while walking are huge to our overall health.

For Starters: For those who need an extra hand when it comes to remembering to be active there are a lot of great connected fitness options like Oura Ring, which reminds you if you have been too stagnant for too long. Of course, you don’t need fancy tech to get the job, you can also set an alarm on your phone or computer that reminds you to get up.

Practice Good Posture

Everybody is familiar with the idea that they should “stand up straight” and the same is true for sitting. Getting back to the fact that most people spend a good majority of their day seated for work, practicing proper posture in that environment can have tremendous health benefits [study]. “Tech neck” is another term that has come into the vernacular, because in many situations users are being forced into incorrect posture to get a good look at their devices. So whatever methods can be introduced to your daily life that prevent that are huge.

For Starters: The standing desk is a piece of furniture that has become more and more common, as people became more cognizant of health risks from sitting too long. But for one, these pieces can be expensive, and for another, standing the whole day isn’t necessarily healthy either. For those looking to give themselves all of the options, this standing desk converter from Dell is great. Or if you want to wait on the purchase, perhaps ask for it as a gift, you can use books or other objects to lift your screens into a position where your chin is parallel to the floor.

The Sun Blew Out The Aces In Game 3 To Stay Alive In The 2022 WNBA Finals

After the Las Vegas Aces won back-to-back games to open the 2022 WNBA Finals, the Connecticut Sun entered Thursday evening’s Game 3 in a must-win scenario. The Sun responded in kind, leading for the majority of the evening and taking advantage of a 19-0 fourth quarter run to secure a 105-76 blowout to climb back into the best-of-five series.

The first half was marked by runs on both sides, with the Aces starting the game flying high. Las Vegas opened with a 12-4 run, making five of their first six shots and grabbing four quick points from reigning MVP A’ja Wilson.

Las Vegas was not able to maintain that prosperity for very long, as Connecticut caught fire for an extended period. The Sun went on a 30-7 extended run to end the first quarter with a 34-19 lead, and Connecticut made 14 of its final 15 shots while stringing together defensive stops.

The Sun set a new WNBA Finals record by shooting 83 percent from the floor in the first quarter, and it was an impressive exhibition of shot-making. Connecticut also had a whopping 12 assists in the first quarter, setting an impressive tone in a win-or-go-home game.

Connecticut didn’t stop there, scoring the first five points of the second quarter to build a 20-point edge. Las Vegas went more than five and a half minutes without scoring, and the Sun appeared to be in total control.

The Sun led by as many as 23 points in the second quarter, but Las Vegas did not roll over. Chelsea Gray converted three consecutive three-pointers to kickstart the Aces’ offense, and Las Vegas later closed the first half with an 8-0 run that featured a buzzer-beater from Kelsey Plum.

After facing a sizable deficit, the response was impressive from Las Vegas, and the Aces shot 8-of-16 from three-point range to stay within striking distance. Connecticut was 6-of-8 from three-point distance, though, and the Suns produced 19 assists in the first half to keep an 11-point lead.

Much of the third quarter was tightly contested, with the margin staying between 10 and 15 points for the majority of the period. Jonquel Jones was key for Connecticut, putting pressure on the rim and keeping the Sun in front.

Las Vegas did make a late charge, cutting the margin to as few as six points and settling in with an eight-point deficit as the fourth quarter arrived. While Connecticut’s approach was balanced from a scoring standpoint in typical fashion, the Sun did receive incredible all-around contributions from Alyssa Thomas, who was named to the All-WNBA second team earlier in the evening. Thomas became the first player in WNBA Finals history to produce a triple-double, and the benchmark was reached with more than nine minutes remaining.

Thomas also helped the Sun to reinstall a 12-point lead, prompting a Las Vegas timeout with 8:35 remaining. The Aces stopped the bleeding momentarily but, starting in the middle of the fourth quarter, Connecticut scored 19 consecutive points and turned the final result into a complete blowout on the scoreboard.

Thomas was the biggest individual story for Connecticut, finishing with 16 points, 15 rebounds, and 11 assists to go along with two steals and a block. Jones was also excellent with 20 points, five rebounds and four assists, with DeWanna Bonner adding 18 points, six rebounds, and five assists. Six players reached double figures for the Sun, and the team finished with 32 assists while shooting 56 percent from the floor and 53 percent from three-point distance.

The Sun still have plenty of work to do as they attempt to overcome an 0-2 deficit. Still, this victory sets up a Game 4 matchup in Connecticut on Sunday afternoon and, if the Sun can hold serve at home once again, anything can happen in a winner-take-all Game 5 setting.
