The Pitt‘s Dr. Robby still has one more hour left on his current shift, panic attack or not. And because Max nailed a winning formula (Noah Wyle + a stethoscope + real-time action), there will at least another 15-hour day (i.e., a second season) ahead of TV’s newest favorite trauma doctor. Last week, the doctors were not only still in the thick of treating mass-shooting patients, but another too-timely issue reared its head: measles in an unvaccinated patient.
Wyle recently told Deadline that the striking parallel to current events is purely coincidental: “There were a couple storylines that would appear that we had a crystal ball in the writing room.” After that patient’s mother had refused a spinal tap, we can expect that tension (including Dr. Robby’s aghast reaction) to continue this week, along with the assortment of other cases floating though The Pitt, so you’ll want to know how soon you can see it happen.
When Does The Pitt Season 1 Episode 15 Come Out?
This week’s episode, “9:00 P.M.,” rolls out on April 10 at 9:00 pm EST.
Then, Dr. Robby and his colleagues will be able to clock out and get some sleep, and the second season will take place over a holiday weekend that could be full of firework-related injuries. Godspeed.
Noah Wyle also has a new PBS NewsHour interview that is worth enjoying in full. He goes into detail about how much he enjoys the shooting style of this series. “Everything is preset,” he revealed. “So we come in and we rehearse and then we shoot and we have a freedom to move that I have never experienced before working with a camera. So it feels more like doing a play. It feels very live.”

Dreamville Festival is special for multiple reasons. First, it’s a massive showcase put on by one of the biggest names in hip-hop and music overall, J. Cole. Many stars in the music world have ventured into the festival sector, only to either give it up after a few years or fail to deliver a production as sharply curated as Dreamville Festival. Secondly, the Dreamville Fest atmosphere is like no other, as the warmth of southern hospitality and the feel-good vibes of a cookout are combined with an excellently curated lineup of talent that not only includes musicians, but food, vendors, and activations among the industry’s best. Dreamville Festival became a beloved destination for the curated music experience not by accident, but through paying attention to details, fine-tuning toward perfection, and putting the fans first.
With all this in mind, it’s no wonder that you can hear a bit of exhaustion in J. Cole’s voice as he addressed the crowd to close his headlining set for the fifth and final Dreamville Fest. “I’ll just keep it 100 with y’all… that sh*t be a lot,” Cole said about the work that goes into putting on a festival with Dreamville. “It be a lot because we want to put on some amazing sh*t for y’all. We want to do it for Carolina, we love being able to offer that and bring amazing artists… but that sh*t be a lot.” One of rap’s great lyricists of today, who is teetering on the edge of retirement following the release of his upcoming The Fall Off album, showed us more than ever that his desire to disappear into the shadows isn’t a promotional tactic, but the result of an artist who, at worst, is fatigued from the spotlight and, at best, believes their creative journey is complete.

The most important part of J. Cole’s speech was his promise to not only make sure that Raleigh, North Carolina continues to have a music festival to look forward to every year, but that its future iterations still have the Dreamville Festival spirit at heart. The effect of J. Cole’s possible retirement may mean that his future outputs become as sporadic as his mentor and former labelhead Jay-Z, but it he won’t let it come at a cost to the community that pushed him to prosperity over 15 years. Truth is, Dreamville Festival has always been much more than J. Cole’s festival. For five festivals across seven years, it’s been a family reunion in a home that welcomes fans new and old to experience things the Dreamville way. Where good music, camaraderie between artists and fans alike, and the natural beauty of community take precedent over anything else.
The 2025 Dreamville Festival was much of the same. Raleigh’s Dorothea Dix Park was turned into a massive playground for the Dreamville experience, bookended by two stages. In between were a plethora of activations and experiences that made the weekend much more than a music festival. A ferris wheel carried fans to the clouds, giving them a sweet eagle’s eye view of the ground below. Nearby was the Hennessy Highline activation which cycled through various DJs, many including Mannie Fresh, to keep the energy pumping throughout the day with sets of southern trap music, dancehall & reggae, and much more. Food stands and food trucks were scattered throughout the festival, offering more options than one knew what to do with (check out our favorites). And of course, the music elevated the ambiance as an excellent curation of sounds put a spotlight on the past and present.

The women stole the show as performers throughout the weekend. Ari Lennox and Keyshia Cole dazzled as vocalists on day one as they both traversed through their catalogs with the ease and dominance of industry veterans. The same was the case on day two with Coco Jones, Akia, Tems, and Eryakh Badu as they certified the win for the women as the MVPs of this year’s Dreamville Festival. Let’s not forget GloRilla, who brought her catalog of hits to Raleigh for a set of bass-rattling Southern fun beginning with “Tomorrow 2,” just to let you know how many hits were in her back pocket.
The music vets also thrived at Dreamville Fest as Wale put on for the DMV with a setlist of his slick-talking rhymes and chart hits. Ludacris was another highlight as he put on a masterclass in showmanship with a seemingly infinite arsenal of hit records. Last, and certainly not least, Lil Wayne’s day one closing set with Hot Boys and Big Tymers was special as the collective group’s stage presence made for a special showcase of early 2000s Southern rap.
The fifth and final Dreamville Festival may not have made headlines like previous iterations, like Drake co-headlining in 2023 and J. Cole’s apology and retreat from battle in 2024, but that’s the point. It was never about being bigger than life, but the exact opposite. Dreamville Festival was a moment to step out of the spotlight and have an intimate moment or two with people you consider family. There’s no better representation of that than with J. Cole’s set design for his closing performance which recreated the apartment of his former landlord Mohammad, one of the first people to truly believe in Cole’s rap dreams. A move like this requires a decent amount of humility, but Cole has an abundance of it. Furthermore, Cole’s performance focused heavily on records from early in his career with the bulk coming from his mixtape days and early albums like Cole World: The Sideline Story, Born Sinner, and the beloved classic 2014 Forest Hills Drive. This year was for the day ones, and though the day twos and onward got their moment, Cole’s set at the 2025 Dreamville Fest was a thank you to those who saw the vision before his album days.
What Dreamville Fest turns into remains to be seen, but its past and legacy should never be forgotten. The house that Cole and his Dreamville counterparts built became a home that music lovers looked forward to returning to every year. There’s nothing like a good family reunion, and Dreamville Festival was that and so much more.

Good news recently arrived for those who have been wondering why The Terminal List‘s second season has been taking so long. Chris Pratt will not return in Avengers: Doomsday as Star-Lord, and he also appears to have taken a breather from voicing animated films and making retro-futuristic movies for Netflix. That is to say, Pratt is back in action for the PTSD-drenched Prime Video/Amazon series that adapts novels by ex-Navy SEAL Jack Carr.
Nearly three years have passed since The Terminal List helped launch a wave espionage-fueled conspiracy thriller series that have taken over streaming, but move over, Peter Sutherland of The Night Agent. He’s alright, but Pratt’s James Reece is known to fight in his underwear while never taking his eye off the vengeance prize. Pratt has already filmed the Dark Wolf prequel that co-stars Taylor Kitsch (as CIA operative Ben Edwards), so let’s roll into what’s in the works for The Terminal List‘s second season.
Plot
The Terminal List will adapt Jack Carr’s True Believer book, which heads into globe-trotting mode, and in early April, Pratt gushed to Collider about how the second season is not skimping on location. “I just got back from Africa. We’ve already started filming. It’s going to be un-fucking-real, dude. I’m telling you,” The Tomorrow War actor declared. “The footage we’ve gotten already, we’ve set the bar so high for ourselves. We’re taking it out of the darkness of, like, the psychological thriller with an unreliable narrator and moving it into the world of true global spycraft.”
The True Believer novel picks up with Reece taking refuge in South Africa’s nation of Mozambique. He has been labelled a domestic terrorist by the CIA, but they extend a The Godfather-type offer to him, and he then goes on the hunt for an Iraqi ex-commando coordinating terrorist attacks. This season will feature multiple characters (as we discuss in the casting section below) who will debut (likely this year) in Dark Wolf, as Pratt further revealed:
“It seeds a lot of the characters that appear in the second book. So, the Mo Farooq character, the Raife Hastings character, all the characters from the book – we’ll get to know them through that series. So by the time they come into this, it’s going to be out of this world, dude. I’m really f*cking pumped. It’s going to be so good.”
A truncated description of Carr’s relevant novel stays pretty spoiler free on what shall come on The Terminal List:
When a bomb goes off during a holiday fair in London, the body count is horrific and the nation’s market goes into a tailspin. This, it turns out, is just the beginning of a series of coordinated and murderous attacks against the whole of the Western world. As the scope of the mayhem grows ever wider, pulling in country after country, the United States goes on the offensive. Who is pulling the strings? What is their motive? And most important of all, how can the attacks be stopped before bloodshed and economic free fall bring America and her allies to their knees?
Additionally, Pratt previously promised that “more military authenticity and heart-pounding action” is on the way because “You spoke. We listened.”
Cast
As Pratt (who is obviously returning as James Reece) has suggested, Dark Wolf actors Tom Hopper (as Raife Hastings) and Dar Salim (as Mo Farooq) are onboard for this season. Additionally, Taylor Kitsch could also make a post-Dark Wolf return as Ben Edwards. It’s also possible that we will see Constance Wu return as war journalist Katie Buranek.
Meanwhile, Gabriel Luna (The Last of Us, Terminator: Dark Fate) will appear as a key True Believer character. As Variety reports, Luna’s Freddy Strain will propel Reece’s next phase:
“Former SEAL Team 6 Senior Chief and current officer with CIA’s Ground Branch, Freddy Strain is a man of two worlds – equal parts elite sniper and dedicated family man. His belief that James Reece survived the events of ‘The Terminal List’ S1 will pull the ‘Most Wanted Man on the Planet’ out of hiding and back into the fray. Reece shows Freddy that desperate times can call for operating outside the lines, while Freddy’s commitment to family, country, and cause will help guide Reece on his path to redemption.”
And will J.D. Pardo return as FBI Task Officer Tony Layun? About a year ago, the Mayans M.C. actor suggested to Screenrant that it’s happening while declaring, “We’ve got some future plans that I’m not gonna mention right now, but it’s all great. Absolutely.”
Release Date
The second season is filming now, for real this time, adding up to a likely 2026 arrival.
It’s not infrequent that Spotify makes changes to its offerings and pricing structures, and some users are concerned that a particularly unfavorable shift could be on the way.
On X (formerly Twitter), one user wrote, “I’ve just heard that apparently Spotify is going to put ads into premium. I’ve had Premium for about 10 years and I tell you this, the SECOND I hear an ad on my Premium account I’m cancelling my subscription. The SECOND. I’m out.” Another tweeted, “Hey @Spotify just so you know, if you guys *rumoured* decide to start putting ads on Spotify premium and add a new premium plus type subscription to get rid of the ads, I will cancel my subscription indefinitely and so will many many others. Probably shouldn’t FAFO.”
In response to both users, Spotify wrote, “This rumor is false. Premium music listening is ad-free.”
This follows some premium users reporting that they’ve heard ads while streaming despite their account status. In February, Spotify addressed the issue, writing, “Thanks for your patience while we looked into this issue. This should now be fixed. If you’re still having issues, remember to log out of the app and back in again 2-3 times in a row in order to force a resync.”
In 2022, a Spotify representative also noted in response to a premium user reporting ads, “While Spotify doesn’t play ads that interrupt the music listening experience of Premium subscribers, some podcasts may include advertising, host-read endorsements, or sponsorship messages. Creators can choose to include dynamic ads into their episodes with Spotify as the receiving end of content and functioning as an ‘open stage’ streaming platform for all.”
If there are two brands that fit together like a hand and glove, it’s Rolling Loud with Cheech and Chong. And wouldn’t you know it, the festival has teamed up with the comedic duo to create a product that makes perfect sense for both: Pit Punch, a THC-infused carbonated drink. According to its press release, it comes in two flavors, Fruit Punch and Orange, with 10mg of hemp-derived THC per can. Pit Punch was soft-launched during the last Rolling Loud Miami, and will presumably continue to be a staple of the festival’s experience.
Pit Punch
Here are the quotes from Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong themselves. “What’s been created with the Rolling Loud festival is something truly special—it’s a cultural force,” says Cheech. “Being part of this next chapter with Pit Punch and helping bring it to people across the country is something we’re incredibly proud of. Meanwhile, Chong adds, “Music and cannabis have always gone hand in hand. Nothing brings people together like a great beat and a good buzz. Pit Punch is the next evolution of that energy.”

Michael Jordan is famously not a fan of most hip-hop. Rapper N.O.R.E. claims he heard Air Jordan say “f*ck rap” one time during a Def Jam Christmas party. But Jordan apparently has a soft spot for Kendrick Lamar.
There’s a video going viral that shows Jordan (who Lamar named a song after on 2010’s Overly Dedicated mixtape) and his wife Yvette Prieto enjoying Forester’s DJ set at Mary Lou’s in West Palm Beach, Florida, over the weekend. “The DJs said no requests… until Michael Jordan asked,” the caption reads. The song playing: “Not Like Us.” And Drake took that personally.
Speaking of the “Not Like Us” target: the video comes shortly after Drake discussed MJ’s gambling prowess. “He’ll gamble on anything,” he said on Stake’s House Money. “I think I remember it was All-Star Weekend in Toronto and he had an event to be at. I beat him at ping-pong a couple times and he just wouldn’t leave the ping-pong table. He kept just betting me, like, bands. 10 bands, 20 bands. Just kept betting because he just couldn’t stomach the loss, you know? He’s definitely not a quitter. I respect him deeply for his gambling nature. So, yeah, I’d say Michael Jordan’s definitely one-of-one.”
Following a tumultuous period, Arcade Fire is back: Today (April 8), the Canadian favorites have officially announced Pink Elephant, a new album that’s set to arrive on May 9.
Ahead of then, the band has shared the single “Year Of The Snake,” a patient and smoldering track.
A press release notes the album title refers to “that paradoxical effect where the effort to suppress a thought leads to it being impossible to avoid,” and that the project “invites the listener on a sonic odyssey – a quest for life – that exists within the perception of the individual, a meditation on both darkness and light, the beauty within.”
The project clocks in at 42 minutes; was produced by Win Butler, Régine Chassagne, and Daniel Lanois; and was recorded at Butler and Chassagne’s Good News Recording Studio in New Orleans.
Notably, this is the band’s first album without Will Butler, who left the group in 2021, after We was completed but before it was released.

Over the past couple months, it has appeared like the often-mysterious Death Grips have broken up. Now, though, the group has assured that this is actually not the case.
A message shared on the band’s social media pages today (April 8) reads, “Despite rumor and hearsay we remain active as Death Grips.”
Notably, the message is only signed by members Stefan Burnett (aka MC Ride) and Zach Hill, and not Andy Morin. Morin was the one who sparked the break-up rumors in the first place, as he supposedly wrote in a message to a fan in February, “yeah it’s over, stefan doesn’t want to do any more. But truthfully none of us can ever predict what will happen with the group.”
In 2023, some fans noticed that Death Grips performed a show with Nick Reinhart in place of Morin.
The most recent projects from Death Grips are the 2018 album Year Of The Snitch and the 2019 EP Gmail And The Restraining Orders. Their most recent officially released single is 2023’s “Electronic Drum Solo Dub Mix (Single Take).” Aside from that, as aforementioned, they’ve also been touring. According to setlist.fm, their most recent performance brought them to Texas for Austin City Limits in October 2023.
In addition to being hip-hop’s top pitchman, it turns out Travis Scott is a bit of a cinephile. In a new interview with Complex, the Houston rapper-producer talks up his love for one actor in particular, including making a surprisingly accurate prediction about this year’s Academy Awards.
When asked about celebrities who are fans of his music, Travis revealed a bond with Adrien Brody. “That’s my dog,” he gushed. “Did you watch The Brutalist? That movie is hard as f*ck. I hope he wins Best Actor.”
Maybe we should be asking Travis for his picks on every future awards competition because Brody was indeed this year’s winner of the Oscar award for Best Actor for his work in The Brutalist.
Travis also revealed Brody’s own talent for making music. “He makes music, too,” he enthused. “He’s like, ‘You know, I make beats and shit.’… I’m like, ‘You got to send me some beats!’ So we chopped it up. Man, that f*cked me up. That’s crazy. I get sh*t like that all the time.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Travis teased a tour, new music from his Cactus Jack label, and bringing his debut mixtape, Owl Pharaoh, to streaming services sometime in the future.
It took over a decade of development, but a Minecraft movie is in theaters — and it’s breaking box office records. For starters, A Minecraft Movie had the highest opening weekend at the domestic box office ($163 million) for any video game movie ever. It’s also No. 1 among films released in 2025, and stars Jack Black and Jason Momoa’s biggest domestic opening, as well.
A Minecraft Movie shattered all projections, but maybe it shouldn’t have: Minecraft is the best-selling video game of all-time, with a reported 350 million copies sold. That’s a lot of chicken jockeys. But give credit to director Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite, Nacho Libre), along with a huge team of screenwriters, for figuring out a formula that worked. He wasn’t the film’s original director, however. The job initially went to Rob McElhenney, who also worked on the script. Yup, Mac from It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia.
Back in 2015, Minecraft publisher Mojang AB announced, “Hello there! Some of you may have seen this guy hanging around MINECON in London a couple weeks ago. He’s Rob McElhenney, and he’s going to be directing the upcoming Minecraft movie.” The film was supposedly going to be animated and star Steve Carell. So, what happened? Why is McElhenney nowhere to be found in the A Minecraft Movie credits?
Why Didn’t It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia Star Rob McElhenney Direct A Minecraft Movie?
“I’m comfortable talking about it, because f*k them at this point,” McElhenney said in a 2020 episode of the HappySadConfused podcast, according to GameSpot. What drew him to Minecraft was the lack of a “fixed narrative. It was an open world experience. All you were essentially give was the building blocks to do whatever you want. I thought, what an amazing tool, much like Legos except now you’re talking about infinite possibilities because it’s digital, to give to kids — and not just kids, but any person who feels powerless.”
Warner Bros. loved McElhenney’s concept for the movie being about “people taking agency over their experience in this digital landscape,” and he was given a $150 million budget. However, in 2016, Warner Bros. movie chief Greg Silverman left the studio and was replaced by Toby Emmerich. That’s when McElhenney’s Minecraft movie “slowly died on the vine,” he explained. “I don’t harbor any resentment. I get it. I get the way that it works.”
