Kendrick Lamar dropped a new song, unofficially titled “Watch The Party Die,” earlier this month, and fans quickly discovered the photo of Nike Air Force 1 shoes used for the song’s cover art came from an eBay listing. Now, the people behind the eBay listing are hoping to cash in on their unexpected brush with fame.
Little Rock, Arkansas’s TVH11 reports that couple Billy Lingo and Darla Wilson is behind the eBay account Good2BYou, whose listing was the source of the photo. They spoke to Wilson and Lingo, who revealed they decided to cancel the $70 sale and re-list the shoes, in light of their newfound notoriety. The new listing can be found here; It has a starting bid of $5,000 and a Buy It Now price of $75,000.
“I know that’s probably not going to happen, but it could,” Lingo said of the lofty Buy It Now figure.
The eBay listing reads in part, “Kendrick Lamar ‘Watch the Party Die’ Cover Artwork Photo depicting a pair of Low top Black on Black Air Force One athletic shoes,(315122-001), Shoes were made on 07/08/2009, Men’s size 12. I am selling the actual shoes in the photo. […] I will also include all messages, original order information including cancelation information etc and original listing with pics from EBay Customer service. Do Not miss this once in a life time opportunity to own a documented piece of HIP HOP History.”
Lingo and Wilson also told TVH11 they plan to start selling t-shirts featuring the now-famous photo.

It’s probably safe to assume that Dua Lipa will be the one inducting Cher, or maybe she’ll do a disco-pop version of “Crash” by DMB. That alone would make the show worth watching. Speaking of: The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame ceremony will stream on Disney+ on October 19 at 7 p.m. ET. There will also be an edited three-hour primetime special premiering on New Year’s Day on ABC, and available the following day on Disney+ and Hulu.
It’s been a bit of a whirlwind in the Lady Gaga world over the past few days. The saga in question started when Gaga began sharing mysterious teasers that featured various phrases. Then, billboards teasing something called “LG6.5” began to surface. Shortly after, Gaga revealed that “LG6.5” refers to Harlequin, a companion album tied to her role as Harley Quinn in the movie Joker: Folie à Deux.
Now, we’ve gotten our first taste of the project.
Gaga shared a teaser video (watch it here) today (September 25), in which she, in character as Quinn, wanders around The Louvre museum in Paris. She comes face-to-face with the Mona Lisa, giving her a lipstick, Joker-like smile through the protective glass. All the while, a rocking new song, presumably from Harlequin, plays.
The video also serves as a teaser for the museum’s upcoming “Figures Of The Fool” exhibition, which runs from October 16, 2024 to February 3, 2025. The Louvre website explains:
“Fools are everywhere. But are the fools of today the same as the fools of yesteryear? This fall, the Musée du Louvre is dedicating an unprecedented exhibition to the myriad figures of the fool, which permeated the pictorial landscape of the 13th to the 16th centuries. Over the course of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, the fool came to occupy every available artistic space, insinuating himself into illuminated manuscripts, printed books and engravings, tapestries, paintings, sculptures, and all manner of objects both precious and mundane. His fascinating, perplexing and subversive figure loomed large in the turmoil of an era not so different from our own.”
The world of music nepo babies is vast. However, no matter how beloved some recording artists are their offsprings aren’t always impressed. Eminem’s daughter, Hailie Jade frequently proves that she listens to her famous dad’s work. The same seemingly can’t be said of Phil Collins’ daughter, Emily In Paris star Lily Collins.
During her recent appearance Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Lily confessed that at one point she didn’t know some of Phil Collins’ Genesis song were actually real.
“The funny thing is that I have these memories as a kid of songs that I don’t know if they’re actually real,” she said. “Because they were in my head as I was maybe in the womb. But then when I went to the first Genesis concert that I actually remembered as an adult, there were songs that came on that I went, ‘That’s a real song?’ I thought that was just a melody in my head. It was really weird.”
Many of her father fans are peeved with Lily’s response. However, considering Lily’s age others are willing to forgive the flub. But, when asked what is her favorite song from her dad she replied: “Probably ‘In The Air Tonight.’ I don’t know, there’s too many.”
Now, that is completely unforgivable considering the countless classics on the 1999 Tarzan soundtrack.
The Las Vegas Aces are once again headed to the semifinals of the WNBA playoffs. The Aces played host to the Seattle Storm at Michelob ULTRA Arena on Tuesday night in Game 2 of their first round matchup, and while it wasn’t always pretty, the two-time defending champions were able to get the job done with an 83-76 win to wrap up a 2-0 series win.
Las Vegas came out on fire to start the game, as the team raced out to a 17-4 lead and looked primed to run Seattle out of the building behind the trio of A’ja Wilson, Kelsey Plum, and Chelsea Gray. While they were the only three Aces player to score in the first quarter, Wilson and Plum both had 12, while Gray put up six as the team shot 12-for-18 from the field.
Kelsey Plum drives to the rack for the first bucket of the game for Vegas
If not for the face that Ezi Magbegor scored 10 points in the opening frame, it would have been easy to see a scenario where the Aces opened up a gigantic, insurmountable lead. But instead, Las Vegas was able to take a 30-20 lead into the second quarter.
Seattle’s defense was able to lock in during the second, as the Aces were unable to really get anyone going — the only players to score were Wilson, Plum, Gray, and Tiffany Hayes. Still, while the Storm were able to cut into the lead and get it down to as little as one point, a 6-0 run to close out the period meant that the Aces went into the locker room for halftime with a 45-38 lead. Wilson’s 18 points led all scorers, while Magbegor had 12 to lead her side.
Neither team was able to find much of a rhythm on the offensive end of the floor in the third quarter. While Seattle was narrowly able to cut into the Vegas lead, they weren’t able to get over the hump against the defending champions, while Las Vegas was unable to extend its lead beyond six.
But early on in the fourth, the Storm finally took their first lead of the game. An 8-0 run got capped off by a made layup by Mercedes Russell, which put Seattle ahead, 65-64.
The Aces were immediately able to show their championship mettle. Right as the Storm took their first lead of the night, Las Vegas responded with a 7-0 run of their own to wrest control of the game away from their opponents … only for Seattle to dust themselves off and immediately get the lead back down to one. And with Las Vegas needing someone to come up big, the MVP answered the bell, with Wilson cleaning up a miss by Gray and kicking it out to Jackie Young, who buried a three.
Right on TIME! Jackie Young three ball pushes Aces to 4-point lead in the 4th
The Aces were able to get their lead up to as many as eight points, and were able to do just enough to keep Seattle at arm’s length down the stretch as they wrapped up the win. The 1-2 punch of Plum and Wilson carried Las Vegas, with the former leading all scorers with 29 points and the latter putting up a 24-point, 13-rebound double-double. Gray and Young both nearly had double-doubles, too, with Gray putting up 12 points and nine rebounds, while Young had nine points and nine boards. For Seattle, Gabby Williams scored 20 points, Magbegor had 14, and both Nneka Ogwumike and Skylar Diggins-Smith had double-doubles — the former had 16 points and 10 rebounds, while the latter had 13 with 10 assists.
With the win, Las Vegas set up a rematch of the 2023 WNBA Finals with the New York Liberty, which secured a 2-0 series win over the Atlanta Dream earlier in the evening. While New York is the 1-seed this time around, the Aces were able to take care of business in the Finals last year in a 3-1 series victory.

Metro Boomin and Future’s “Like That” could easily be considered the launch point. Despite gaining the support of Kendrick Lamar’s massive fan base, Metro Boomin isn’t exactly a fan of stan culture. Yesterday (September 23), during a Forbes 30 Under 30 Summit panel, Metro Boomin seemingly cited stan culture as the root cause for today’s “weird” rap beefs.
“I feel like the competition is great for the game,” he said. “Hip-hop has always been more of a competitive genre even if just keeping it on music, and it’s not serious how everybody tries to make it. Because also with Hip Hop, there’s a lot of ego involved. You’re supposed to feel like you’re the best. Everybody from the highest to the lowest guy is supposed to at least feel like you’re the best. So when two of the top dogs in the game and you both feel like you’re the best, it’s like okay, now we gotta have a showdown.”
Metro Boomin then referred to Jay-Z and Nas’ infamous diss tracks before turning his attention to stan culture, saying: “But I just feel like more today with stan culture, it makes it kind of weird. Because back in the day, JAY-Z and Nas went at it. But I was a fan of both of them. And most people were! And it was like, it’s okay. It was like not I hate this side [or] I hate that side. The internet just makes it a little too wild now.”
I’m not sure those he were alive to witness Jay-Z and Nas’ clash remember it quite this way (myself, included).
The New York Liberty are on their way to the semifinals of the 2024 WNBA playoffs. New York played host to the Atlanta Dream in Game 2 of their first round series at the Barclays Center on Tuesday night, and thanks to an absolutely outrageous performance by Sabrina Ionescu, the Liberty punched their ticket to the second round with a 91-82 win to secure a 2-0 sweep.
With their backs against the wall, Atlanta came out playing like a team that was desperate to stave off elimination. The team opened up the game on an 11-3 run, then spent the remainder of the frame keeping the Liberty at arm’s length.
No one was more responsible for the team’s hot start than Allisha Gray, as the guard took it to New York from the jump. Thanks to her 14 points on 4-for-4 shooting from three, Atlanta found itself up, 28-19, after one.
The Dream are turning up the HEAT with an early 11-0 run
It did not take long for the Liberty to restore a bit of order to the proceedings. The league’s No. 1 overall seed came roaring out of the gates in the second quarter, and rode an 18-6 run to take the lead on an Ionescu three.
HERE COMES NEW YORK
JJ swats it away and Sabrina drains the three for the lead in Game 2
But the Dream did not let things get away from them. While New York got its lead up to four points, Atlanta closed out the quarter on a 12-3 run, with Jordin Canada and Tina Charles combining to score 10 of those points. By the time the buzzer went off for halftime, Atlanta took a 48-43 lead into the locker room as it tried to force a win-or-go-home Game 3 in its own building. Gray’s 14 points led all scorers, while Charles and Rhyne Howard both had 10. For New York, Ionescu led the way with 13, while Breanna Stewart had 11 points and Jonquel Jones had 10.
The third quarter was the Ionescu show, as she took over the game by scoring nine straight points to carry the Liberty. Ionescu scored 11 points in all during the third, which was half of her team’s points.
Between Ionescu getting hot and the Liberty holding the Dream to their lowest-scoring quarter of the game, New York was able to take a 65-64 lead into the fourth. And while things were tight early on in the fourth, the Liberty started to pull away. Whether it was Ionescu’s shooting or their ability to score in the paint, the team rode a 12-2 run to open up a double-digit lead. And try as they might, there was just nothing the Dream could do, as the Liberty were able to create enough of a cushion that they were not able to get within seven points down the stretch.
SABRINA IONESCU ANSWERS BACK
Spike Lee is lovin’ the energy courtside of Game 2
Ionescu led all scorers with 36 points on 12-for-23 shooting from the field and 5-for-11 shooting from three to go along with nine assists. Jones had a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds, while Stewart put up 13 points. Gray’s 26 points led the way for Atlanta, while Charles had 14 and Howard stuffed the stat sheet, going for 19 points, five rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and two steals.
Now, New York will sit and wait to see what will happen in Tuesday night’s other game between the Las Vegas Aces and the Seattle Storm. Las Vegas won Game 1 in that series, and if they can defend their home court in Game 2, it’ll set up a rematch of the 2023 WNBA Finals, which the Aces won in four games.
Welcome to SNX DLX, your weekly roundup of the best sneakers to hit the internet. The fall 2024 sneaker season continues to heat up now that summer is over and classes have resumed. After a full list of 10 last week, we’re back with a strong eight with new releases from Nike, Adidas, and New Balance. We would’ve loved to see some new worthwhile releases from Asics, Puma, and Hoka but it looks like those brands are keeping things quiet.
We would’ve also liked to see some third-party brand collaborations this time around but it looks like that wasn’t in the cards. Luckily, there are still some great collabs, including Adidas and Minnesota United who’ve dropped a Gazelle in the team colors, a collaboration with Bad Bunny, a new Kobe Protro, and our personal highlight of the week — Nike and Verdy’s newest SB Dunk.
Without further ado, here are the best sneaker releases dropping this week, and where to buy ‘em! Let’s dive in.
One of my favorite genres of design is products that attempt to forecast the future in their present time. Case in point the Air Max SNDR, a ’99 era sneaker that tried to reimagine what a sneaker could be. It had a full body shroud, a split midsole, and reflective panels for enhanced visibility. In 2024 none of that sounds that radical, which shows how ahead of the curve the SNDR was.
This refresh features a stealthy black upper with silver accents and large reflective panels across the mudguard. It’s a dope pick for fans of futuristic sneaker design, and even though we’ve seen these design cues implemented elsewhere, no other shoe looks quite like the Air Max SNDR.
The Nike Air Max SNDR Black and Silver is out now for a retail price of $180. Pick up a pair via the Nike SNKRS app.
Adidas has linked up with Minnesota United for this special Gazelle dressed up in the team colors. The sneaker features a leather and synthetic upper with textile lining and a Crystal White, Core Black, and Better Scarlet colorway.
There isn’t much different about this sneaker, it’s simply one of Adidas’ greatest silhouettes in a dope colorway, which is all you need sometimes.
The MNUFC x Familia Gazelle ADV is out now for a retail price of $110. Pick up a pair at Adidas.
What we love about the Dark Sage and Solar Red Air Max 90 is how in your face the design is. With its bright Solar Red upper, it demands to be seen, which is pretty ironic considering it also sports camo leather overlays. Lately, sneaker design has been all about working harmoniously with whatever outfit you’re rocking, so it’s refreshing to see a sneaker that forces the wearer to dress around it.
The Nike Air Max 90 Dark Sage and Solar Red is out now for a retail price of $140. Pick up a pair via the Nike SNKRS app.
Last month, Nike dropped the high-top Elite Protro Halo, and if its long neck was a bit too much for you to get behind, then this more conventional low-top version is for you. The sneaker features a lightweight Flyknit upper outfitted with a React midsole for enhanced responsiveness and extra grippy traction for quick court change-ups.
It’s a performance-focused sneaker that also manages to look incredibly fashionable and we love it for that.
The Nike Kobe 9 Elite Low Protro Halo is out now for a retail price of $210. Pick up a pair via the Nike SNKRS app or aftermarket sites like GOAT and Flight Club.

Nike Sb Dunk Low Pro x Verdy Blue Gaze and Enamel Green
The Tokyo-based artist Verdy’s design aesthetic has always been a bit out there, so anytime he links up with Nike we’re excited to see what he’s going to cook up. The SB Dunk Blue Gaze and Enamel Green does not disappoint!
Inspired by Verdy’s fan-favorite Visty plushie, this Sb Dunk sports a corduroy upper with furry pastel underlays, a padded collar and tongue, and a colorway that looks straight out of an Easter basket. We would’ve preferred a design like this during the spring season, but we’ll take what we can get!
The Nike SB Dunk Low Pro x Verdy Blue Gaze and Enamel Green is out now for a retail price of $130. Pick up a pair via the Nike SNKRS app or aftermarket sites like GOAT and Flight Club.
This week, New Balance decided to go a bit weird with this formal-wear-meets-casual-wear design. The 1906L tries to strike a balance between a loafer and a tech-focused sneaker, and the result ends up looking oddly futuristic.
The 1906L sports a synthetic and mesh upper in metallic silver with an N-ergy outsole with ABZROB SBS pods for enhanced shark absorption. To which we have to ask New Balance — just where do you imagine people wearing these things, and what do you imagine them doing? This is a truly odd design, but we appreciate it for being so out of the box.
The New Balance 1906L Silver and Shadow Grey is out now for a retail price of $159.99. Pick up a pair at New Balance.
If you’ve always wanted the Travis Scott Nike Mocha but have accepted the fact that you’ll never own a pair without paying a small fortune, the Jordan 1 Low OG Mocha is for you. A low-top version of the modern classic high-top 2020 release, the Mocha looks just like the Travis Scott sneaker, only it doesn’t have the backward swoosh and Cactus Jack branding.
Call us crazy, but we think that results in a better shoe! The sneaker sports a leather upper with a mix of black Sail and Dark Mocha colors. It’s a great sneaker, even if it makes us think of a much more popular design.
The Nike Air Jordan 1 Low OG Mocha is set to drop on September 21st at 7:00 AM PST for a retail price of $140. Pick up a pair via the Nike SNKRS app.
For Bad Bunny’s latest with Adidas, Benito has remixed the Gazelle and updated it for the modern age. The sneaker features the typical leather lining and leather upper with a widened chunky design that sports suede overlays and a flipped t-toe design. In place of the Gazelle branding, this sneaker features “Benito” branding under an Adidas box logo.
It’s not quite as iconic as the original Gazelle, but it’s one of the best-looking remixes of the classic design we’ve ever seen. Benito and Adidas have done it again.
The Adidas Bad Bunny Gazelle Core White is set to drop on September 21st for a retail price of $140. Pick up a pair at Adidas or aftermarket sites like GOAT and Flight Club.

Since then Nicki Minaj has aired out her deeply rooter grievances with the show’s top level programmer and several of his associates including Steve Stoute. Now, users believe Nicki Minaj has turned her attention to Jay-Z superstar wife, Beyoncé. Continue below for more details.
Do Nicki Minaj And Beyoncé Have Beef?
On September 23, after Beyoncé posted two new SirDavis promotional gallery posts to Instagram, Nicki Minaj took to X (formerly Twitter) to write: “Robot on timing.” Although the upload has since been deleted, given Nicki Minaj’s cryptic code names for foes, many assumed that it was a dig at Beyoncé.
However, according to Nicki Minaj users online are mistaken. In the comment section of one TikTok user’s video (viewable here) laughing about the rumored beef, Nicki Minaj quickly shut down the claim.
“This is an absolute lie,” she wrote.
Beyoncé has proven to stick by her hubby even if it means confronting someone in-person, according to 50 Cent. Despite Nicki Minaj’s issues with Jay-Z, the two seems to have maintained a cordial relationship based on the flowers Bey sent to Nicki back in March.
