Amelia Moore Celebrates Her Major-Label Deal With ‘F*ck, Marry, Kill,’ A Clever Melding Of Contemporary And Classic

Georgia-born and LA-based singer-songwriter Amelia Moore (who you may have spotted at Camp Flog Gnaw a few months ago) is at the start of a new chapter: She recently signed with Republic Records, and today (March 20), she has unveiled her first release for the label, a single called “F*ck, Marry, Kill.”

Moore says of the track, “I knew I had to make my own unique story. Singing funny, specific, modern lyrics over a song that feels classic and beautiful is something I had never done before.”

To her point about the lyrics, lines from the song include, “Fighting with me at Coachella / Got you VIP, should’ve known better / Me and my girlfriends so fed up / Yeah, this sh*t is out of control,” and, “I could be walking by you, fully naked / Nothing on but a Cartier bracelet / Boy, I bet you’d still be gaming / Yeah, it’s hypothetical.”

As for what Moore’s all about, a press release explains, “What if the homeschool girl from your community theater troupe transformed into an alternative R&B outlier with an extraterrestrial high fashion sense and sourly sweet wit? She’d probably be a bit like Amelia Moore.”

Moore hasn’t announced an album yet, but the release notes the new song “kicks off a pivotal chapter for Amelia and much more to come in 2025.”

What To Watch: Our Picks For The TV Shows And Movies We Think You Should Stream This Week

WTW_wicked(1024x450)
universal pictures/merle cooper

Each week our staff of film and television experts surveys the entertainment landscape to select the ten best new/newish shows available for you to stream at home. With that said, here are our selections for this week.

15. Severance (Apple TV Plus)

Apple TV+

After a long, long break, one of the best shows on TV is back. Severance picks up where season 1 left off, with Mark (Adam Scott), Helly (Helly Riggs), Dylan (Dylan), and Irving (Irving Bailiff) trifling with the severance barrier, “leading them further down a path of woe,” according to the cryptic Apple TV Plus synopsis. There are so many mysteries left to answer: what’s the deal with Ms. Casey (Dichen Lachman)? What’s the deal with Seth Milchick (series MVP Tramell Tillman)? And seriously, what’s the deal with the freaking goats?

14. Common Side Effects (Max)

They also co-created King of the Hill. Their latest collaboration is producing Common Side Effects, a surreal Adult Swim animated series about the “world’s greatest medicine” from creators Joseph Bennett (Scavengers Reign) and Steve Hely (30 Rock). Episodes will stream the next day on Max.

12. Reacher (Prime Video)

Prime Video/Amazon

You know what time is it? It’s Reacher o’clock. In season 3, the big guy meets an even bigger guy. He also “hurtles into the dark heart of a vast criminal enterprise when trying to rescue an undercover DEA informant whose time is running out,” according to the Prime Video synopsis. “He finds a world of secrecy and violence and confronts some unfinished business from his own past.” Every episode is basically the same, which is to say, they’re all a lot of fun.

9. Long Bright River (Peacock)

Peacock

Long Bright River is a suspense thriller about Philadelphia police officer Mickey (played by Amanda Seyfried), who patrols a part of the city that has been hard-hit by the opioid crisis. As per the logline: “When a series of murders hit the neighborhood, Mickey realizes that her personal history – her ongoing search for her missing younger sister – might be related to the case.” The subject material is a bit of a downer, so to cheer you up, here’s Mamma Mia 3 (?!) star Seyfried covering a Joni Mitchell song on the dulcimer. Delightful!

6. The Electric State (Netflix)

netflix

It’s tough to pinpoint Netflix‘s most expensive movie, but don’t be surprised if it’s The Electric State. The film, which reunites the directors (Anthony and Joe Russo) and writers (Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely) of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, has a reported $320 million budget. That’s quite the chunk of change, but for Netflix, it’s money well spent if the retro-futuristic The Electric State — which stars Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt, who team up to find her brother; also, there are robots — ends up being the level of hit it almost assuredly will be.

5. O’Dessa (Hulu)

Searchlight Pictures

Certain members of the Stranger Things cast have spent the long hiatus between seasons making music. Others have kept busy by playing musicians. Post-apocalyptic rock opera O’Dessa stars Sadie Sink as a farm girl who goes on a journey to recover a cherished family heirloom. Along the way, she meets her one true love — but to save his soul, she must put the power of destiny and song to the ultimate test. She’s a true guitar hero.

4. Happy Face (Paramount Plus)

paramount plus

There are roughly 700 TV shows about true crime out there, so I totally understand if you’re burnt out on the genre. But maybe make an exception for Happy Face. For one thing, it’s got a good cast, including Annaleigh Ashford, Dennis Quaid, James Wolk, and David Harewood, and The Good Wife and Evil creators Robert and Michelle King are attached as executive producers. Also, the premise is something else: a serial killer re-enters his daughter’s life after decades of no contact, and it’s up to her to find out if an innocent man is going to be put to death for a crime her father committed.

3. Sing Sing (Max)

Colman Domingo, one of the finest actors of his generation, got a well-deserved Oscar nomination for his performance in Sing Sing. 2. The Residence (Netflix)

The latest Shondaland production is The Residence, a screwball comedy starring Uzo Aduba as a detective who is tasked with solving a murder at The White House. “The Residence is a different take and spin on the house that we all know — it’s a peek inside a world that we don’t often get to see,” the Orange Is A New Black actress said. “The show begs the question, ‘Who runs the house?’ And the answer is not what we think it is.”

SNX: This Week’s Best Sneakers, Including The Jordan 1 Obsidian & The Supreme Nike Air Max 1 Collection

SNX_march_19(1024x450)
Uproxx

Welcome to SNX DLX, your weekly roundup of the best sneakers to hit the internet. March continues to be a weird month for sneaker drops. Once again, we’re getting a truncated list here, but once we get to what’s on it, it’ll be easy to understand why.

Instead of volume, we’re getting high-quality drops, including the re-release of two classic Nike colorways, a high-profile Supreme and Nike collab, and a premium take on the Adidas Gazelle.

And that’s it, unfortunately! We would’ve liked at least a few more notable releases, but it looks like after one solid month, 2025’s year in sneakers is still stumbling. Hopefully, the big brands get their sh*t together come summer time.

Here are the best sneakers dropping this week, and where to find them.

Adidas Gazelle Made in Italy

Adidas

Price: $350

Adidas is in a weird spot right now. Aside from the Anthony Edwards 1, the brand’s only popular silhouettes right now are old classics. That’s not a problem if you like those vintage ‘70s and ‘80s, but it is a problem for the brand considering said classics have sub $100 price tags. So what’s a brand to do? Elevate a classic!

The Adidas Gazelle Made in Italy is just that. A premium take on the Gazelle handcrafted from high-quality Italian leather with a full leather lining, Sacchetto sockliner construction, and leather tooling in a clean all-black colorway. It’s more than double the amount of your typical Gazelle, but we’re all for this elevated construction. It’s the sort of special treatment an all-time-great silhouette like the Gazelle deserves.

The Adidas Gazelle Made in Italy is out now for a retail price of $350. Pick up a pair via the Adidas CONFIRMED app.

Nike Air Force 1 Linen

Nike

Price: $130

The Linen is one of the greatest silhouettes that has ever graced the Nike Air Force 1. First released as a Japanese exclusive in 2001, the Linen features a canvas build with blush pink accents and a simple three-color design. If you’re a hardcore AF-1 fan, this is an instant pick-up.

The Nike Air Force 1 Linen is out now for a retail price of $130. Pick up a pair via the Nike SNKRS app or aftermarket sites like GOAT and Flight Club.

Nike Air Max Waffle Black and Hyper Blue

Nike

Price: $140

With all the elevated classics and legendary colorways dropping this week, it’s nice to get something that doesn’t rely on nostalgia to gain hype, so the Air Max Waffle Black and Hyper Blue, with its futuristic hybrid design, feels like a welcome breath of fresh air.

The Air Max Waffle takes influence from the Air Max Plus and the Waffle Trainer and synthesizes iconic design elements from both silhouettes into something brand new. Rounding out the black and blue colorway are some glittery Metallic Gold accents which help the design pop.

The Nike Air Max Waffle Black and Hyper Blue is out now for a retail price of $140. Pick up a pair via the Nike SNKRS app.

Supreme x Nike Air Max 1 Collection

Supreme

Price: $170

Supreme is back! After a string of so-so releases, this new Nike Supreme Collab brings us back to the golden age of the two brands working together. The Air Max 1 features a leather build (upper and tongue), a brushed knit lining, embroidered graphics, and a snakeskin-embossed swoosh, and of course, dual branding.

The sneaker drops in four colorways, two spring-ready tones including yellow and purple, and two classic all-black or all-white.

The Supreme x Nike Air Max 1 Collection is out now for a retail price of $170. Pick up a pair at Supreme or aftermarket sites like GOAT and Flight Club.

Air Jordan 1 Low Obsidian

Nike

Price: $140

Another classic returns! The Air Jordan 1 Low Obsidian might not be a top-five Jordan colorway, but it still belongs on a list of the best Jordan 1 colorways of all time. The sneaker features a full-grain leather upper with a three-color design that includes white, University Blue, and Obsidian.

There isn’t much to say here, it’s a gorgeous Jordan colorway and neutral enough to work with any fit.

The Air Jordan 1 Low Obsidian is set to drop on March 22nd at 7:00 AM PST for a retail price of $140. Pick up a pair via the Nike SNKRS app or aftermarket sites like GOAT and Flight Club.

Disclaimer: While all of the products recommended here were chosen independently by our editorial staff, Uproxx may receive payment to direct readers to certain retail vendors who are offering these products for purchase.

WU LYF Are Back With Their First Tour Dates In 13 Years

wu lyf
Jonathan Flanders

WU LYF cast a wide shadow over the indie rock landscape despite only releasing one album, 2011’s Go Tell Fire To The Mountain, before going their separate ways in 2012. But last week, someone on the Indieheads subreddit shared that they “got a postcard from what I assume is WU LYF today directing to this website.” Speculation was high about what it could mean.

Now we know: WU LYF’s website has been updated with a 2025 tour, the once-mysterious group’s first live shows together in 13 years. There’s no North American dates yet, but they’re playing three nights in Manchester, UK, in April, followed by festivals in Brussels and France in May and July.

In 2017, WU LYF (World Unite Lucifer Youth Foundation) frontman Ellery James Roberts spoke to Dazed about the dissolution of the band. “It was quite a dark moment in a lot of senses in my life. But it teaches you a lot,” he said. “It all coming to an end was more of a revelation on my part. The band had this initial period of genuine, pure pursuit. But then you go on the road and we were 19-21. There’s a two-year period of all of this happening. Your eyes are opened to a lot of the world and you can see that a lot things aren’t right, thus I decided I need to fundamentally get things right with myself.”

You can find ticket information here, and check out the dates below.

When Will ‘Severance’ Season 2 Episode 10 Be Available To Stream?

severance-s2-e9-lg
Apple TV+

Only a few short months ago, Severance viewers were eager to start this second chapter at Lumon, and now, it’s almost time to say goodbye again. The Apple TV+ series will end the current season with a longer episode than usual, which (as the cast predicted) might be followed by a bathroom stampede because maybe people will not want to hit “pause.” Oh, just hit pause, y’all.

Clearly, creator Dan Erickson and frequent director Ben Stiller hit another home run and will soon have questions about the third season on their hands, and they might want to conveniently be on vacation around the time that this episode stops streaming.

When Will Severance Season 2, Episode 10 Be Available?

March 21. The season finale episode, “Cold Harbor,” is sparsely described by the tech giant’s streaming service: “Mark forms a shaky alliance in an all-or-nothing play, while the team makes a dangerous last stand.”

Only a few dozen or so lingering questions exist in the face of this episode. Will the goat mystery finally be solved? No telling. Can we find out exactly why Gemma has been in captivity? Please. Can Irving, Dylan, or anybody who has been involved in MDR ever find happiness? Doubtful. And can a lady please get a Petey flashback? I’m guessing the latter is a negative.

If there’s any comfort to be found in the void that will await after the finale, Ben Stiller has promised that the third season wait will be shorter than the one most recently endured. That is, if the series gets renewed, but c’mon, you know that will happen.

Severance streams on Apple TV+.

We Put Bear Fight’s Bourbon & American Single Malt To A Taste Off With ‘Suits’ Star Gabriel Macht, Here’s The Winner

bear_fight_gabriel(1024x450)
Getty Image/Merle Cooper

Not everyone is lucky enough to win a bear fight.

In fact, in recent memory, the list is pretty much limited to Leonardo DiCaprio in The Revenant. Nonetheless, UPROXX sat down with ‘Suits’ star Gabriel Macht to get into an equally biting but far more enjoyable contest: a side-by-side tasting of Bear Fight Whiskey’s flagship expressions, Kentucky Reserve Bourbon Finished In Reposado Barrels and Triple Oak Finished American Single Malt.

Bear Fight Whiskey launched in 2022 with backing from Next Century Spirits and Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane as an initial investor, but its success in industry competitions and the recent addition of Gabriel Macht as creative partner and brand spokesman have many people buzzing. The brand kicked things off by winning a double gold medal at the 2021 New York International Spirits Competition and followed that up by winning double gold at The San Francisco World Spirits Competition and earning best-in-category honors at the 2022 World Whiskey Competition, all for its inaugural release of American Single Malt Whiskey.

Late last year, however, Bear Fight Whiskey launched its second SKU and first bourbon expression, Kentucky Reserve. This unique offering uses a combination of 70% corn, 21% rye, and 9% malted barley, which is then finished in barrels that previously held Reposado tequila. The resultant liquid picks up some peppery, lightly sweet notes that tequila is famous for, cast against an oak-driven, caramel-laden backbone from the bourbon base. It’s an initially head-scratching decision that ultimately helped it claw its way onto the UPROXX list of whiskey brands you need to know in 2025.

When pressed to tell us his favorite of the two, Gabriel said, “The American Single Malt! They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away, and there’s an apple flavor in there, which I love.” He added, “There’s a sweetness in it, and it’s totally approachable, so for some people who aren’t whiskey drinkers, I think they’ll be pleasantly surprised. For the people who are whiskey aficionados, it stands up. And it’s not an expensive bottle!”

He’s right; Bear Fight Whiskey’s Kentucky Reserve Bourbon is going for $38, and its American Single Malt goes for $47. With both bottles landing at less than $50 (and being offered in a bundle for a mere $80), it’s easy for consumers to choose between entering into their own solo Bear Fight or engaging in a side-by-side tasting.

Turning to Bear Fight Whiskey’s bourbon, Gabriel highlighted that the expression’s atypical finishing casks make it a bit of a disruptor, showcasing the subversive fighting spirit that undergirds the brand. “You’ve got the bourbon base, but adding the tequila cask gives it a little bit of smoke. It makes it more complicated and complex, and it’s a playful entry that combines the two ideas of a bear, right? There’s this aggressive start that claws its way in, but then once it’s (on your palate), you see the flip side where it’s almost cuddly.”

Now seems like the perfect time to see if we can pick up some of those tasting notes and have a Bear Fight of our own. In fact, let’s make it two!

Here’s our side-by-side review of Bear Fight Whiskey’s American Single Malt Whiskey and Kentucky Reserve Bourbon.

Also Read: The Top 5 UPROXX Whiskey Posts

Taste One: Bear Fight Whiskey American Single Malt Whiskey

Bear Fight Whiskey

ABV: 45%
Average Price: $47

The Whiskey:

Made in copper pot stills and utilizing 100% malted barley and spring water sourced from Raleigh, North Carolina, where the brand is based, Bear Fight Whiskey’s American Single Malt expression utilizes three different types of oak barrels: ex-bourbon for primary maturation, then finishing in sherry and smoked peat casks.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: The nosing notes open with classic American single malt aromas of hay, green apples, and honey, with some faint smoke, nutmeg, and caraway anchoring those light, sweet notes with an earthy base that’s easy to enjoy.

Palate: On the palate, this whiskey truly blossoms with black currants, honey, and stewed green apple notes cascading over the tongue and sticking to the back of your teeth. Chewing the whiskey unlocks those baking spices that grant it extra depth, gently brushing your palate and the roof of your mouth with nutmeg, freshly cracked black pepper, and faint whisps of sage before juicy orange tones initiate the transition into the finish.

Finish: This whiskey’s closing act reintroduces the smoky note that was first promised on the nose, with a touch of leather, fresh figs, dilute honey, and youthful oak in tow to balance things out. It’s a reasonably succinct finish that beckons repeat sips due to its crispness and distinct flavors.

Bottom Line:

Bear Fight Whiskey’s American Single Malt, adorned with an apropos tattered label, is far less rugged than its name would suggest. Instead, this whiskey’s delicate infusion of well-developed, sherry-tinged flavors makes for a mellow sipping experience that eschews the bite for a wonderfully approachable whiskey that should help the brand expand the American Single Malt category’s popularity.

The subtlety of the peated smoke in this one, in particular, is worthy of applause.

Taste Two: Bear Fight Whiskey Kentucky Reserve Bourbon Finished In Reposado Tequila Barrels

Bear Fight Whiskey

ABV: 45%
Average Price: $38

The Whiskey:

Bear Fight Whiskey’s Kentucky Reserve Bourbon is a sourced whiskey without an age statement made from a mash bill that’s 70% corn, 21% rye, and 9% malted barley. While the whiskey may come from multiple sources, eagle-eyed observers will note that this is a popular mash bill produced by the prominent contract distilling outfit Green River Distillery.

There’s also no word on where the Reposado barrels come from or how long the liquid spends in those secondary maturation casks, so let’s just drink up!

Tasting Notes:

Nose: There are big billowing notes of corn husk, orange pith, and vanilla extract that immediately emerge on the nose. Then, interestingly, I started picking up whisps of agave syrup, rosewater, and salted caramel. Further notes of honey, sage smudge, and green grapes round things out.

Palate: Once in the mouth, the slick sweetness of the bourbon makes an initial impression. Butterscotch and honey notes meld well with green grapes and a slight salinity before the Reposado influence crops up at midpalate, offering touches of agave syrup, then a hint of sandalwood with a nearly indiscernible whisp of smoke marking the transition to the finish.

Finish: The finish is succinct, but satisfying. Notes of green grapes and red apples fuse with nutmeg, subtle black pepper, and a faint finale of honey.

Bottom Line:

Unlike Bear Fight Whiskey’s bold and balanced American Single Malt Whiskey, this Kentucky Reserve expression has a bit less bite. The flavors are restrained, and while the influence of tequila is a welcome and surprisingly effective complement to the base bourbon, it doesn’t have enough teeth to be our favorite.

Final Thoughts

We have to side with Bear Fight Whiskey’s creative partner here, our favorite is definitely the American Single Malt Whiskey. While the brand has two well-made whiskeys on its hand, the American Single Malt is markedly more bold and balanced, reflecting both the aggressive and cuddly sides of the animal its name evokes.

When we asked Gabriel to recount some personal “bear fights” that led to his success, he cited challenges with overcoming passivity, infusing his life with self-reflection and self-care, which have allowed him to complete the things that he starts (e.g., Harvey Specter’s journey on Suits L.A.). While doctor’s orders might not suggest a whiskey a day, seizing on quiet moments to sip your favorite American Single Malt or bourbon to engage in self-reflection might help.

Baring his teeth (in a cuddly way, not a ferocious one), Gabriel smiled at the thought before concluding, “I think you’ve got the message.”

Watch Gabriel Macht in Suits L.A. this spring on NBC and Peacock.

A Former Eminem Employee Is Facing Criminal Charges For Allegedly Selling Unreleased Music From The Rapper

eminem

A former Eminem employee is in big trouble right now: Variety reports that federal prosecutors have charged Joseph Strange with copyright infringement and interstate transportation of stolen goods, after he allegedly stole and sold some of Eminem’s unreleased music. The purchasers of the unreleased songs put more than 25 of them online back in January.

Strange is facing some serious potential consequences: He could get a maximum of five years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000 if convicted of copyright infringement. Also, if he’s found guilty of interstate transportation of stolen goods, he could face up to ten years in prison.

Per the criminal complaint, Strange was a sound engineer for Eminem from 2007 to 2021. After the songs leaked, the FBI identified multiple people who had purchased the unreleased music, and they led the FBI to Strange. The FBI searched Strange’s residence on January 28, where they found and seized hard drives containing unreleased music.

In a statement shared with Variety, longtime Eminem spokesperson Dennis Dennehy said:

“Eminem and his team are very appreciative of the efforts by the FBI Detroit bureau for its thorough investigation which led to the charges against Joe Strange. The significant damage caused by a trusted employee to Eminem’s artistic legacy and creative integrity cannot be overstated, let alone the enormous financial losses incurred by the many creators and collaborators that deserve protection for their decades of work. We will continue to take any and all steps necessary to protect Eminem’s art and will stop at nothing to do so.”
