The ‘Doctor Strange’ Sequel Is About To Undergo Some ‘Significant’ Reshoots

In the pre-pandemic before-time, the Marvel Cinematic Universe tends to run like clockwork, with each title perfectly fitting in with dozens of others, and arriving in theaters at a steady clip. But lately there’s been a few blips. Disney bumped back a slew of their titles, MCU ones included. The Black Panther sequel had to go on hiatus while one of its stars, Letitia Wright, convalesced after an on-set injury (and who may possibly have trouble re-entering the U.S.).

And now this: According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Doctor Strange sequel, subtitled in the Multiverse of Madness, is about to undergo some “significant” reshoots. The production is returning for a reported six more weeks of filming, with star Benedict Cumberbatch, director Sam Raimi, and writer Michael Waldron (Loki) in tow.

But it might not be that bad. Sources say that reshoots are common, one saying, “We’ve had bigger reshoots on other MCU movies.” Then again, another source says that given that they’ll be filming till the end of the year, that’s “like a whole other movie.”

Raimi was a big get for the Doctor Strange sequel, having arguably helmed the comic book that kickstarted the current craze: the 2002 Spider-Man, with Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst. (He also directed its two sequels.) In the Multiverse of Madness also brings back Benedict Wong’s Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor’s turncoat Karl Mordo, and Rachel McAdams’ Christine, on top of bringing Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch into this wing of the MCU.

As of now, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is still due in theaters on May 6, 2022, i.e., in less than eight months.

Christian Pulisic Masterfully Trolled Mexico’s Guillermo Ochoa After He Scored In The USMNT’s 2-0 Win Over Mexico

The United States men’s national team moved to the top of CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying on Friday night with a thrilling win over Mexico. While things were tied at the half, Christian Pulisic and Weston McKennie found the back of the net to give the Americans a 2-0 win over their continental rivals.

Pulisic’s goal broke a 0-0 deadlock, as the Chelsea standout came on as a substitute in the 69th minute due to his efforts to work his way back from an injury. Minutes later, American winger Timothy Weah was able to get in a position for a cross, which he whipped into the box. Pulisic burst past Mexico’s Johan Vásquez, who never seemed to see him coming, and headed the ball past Guillermo Ochoa.

Pulisic celebrated by pulling up his shirt and revealing a message to the raucous crowd, but it was unclear exactly what was written across it. After the game, the official MLS Twitter account showed that he was actually trolling Ochoa, who had some comments in the lead-up to the game about where soccer in the U.S. is compared to Mexico.

Chalk this up to some sensational banter by Pulisic. Anyway, here’s McKennie’s goal, which formally made this a scoreline that is awfully familiar in America-based qualifiers between these teams.

The USMNT will next take the pitch on Tuesday against Jamaica.

Michael Jordan Was Furious At Kelly Oubre For Taking A Jumper Way Too Soon In The Shot Clock

The Charlotte Hornets took to their home floor at the Spectrum Center on Friday night and beat the New York Knicks, 104-96. While things looked like they were going to go Charlotte’s way down the home stretch, a decision made by Kelly Oubre got Michael Jordan extremely upset from his seat in a suite high above the floor.

With just under 40 seconds left and the Hornets up by seven, Oubre decided to rise and fire on a three that he missed. The catch: He did it seven seconds into the shot clock, so it’s not like he was exactly hoisting up a prayer that he couldn’t get a little later in the clock.

In Oubre’s defense, it was a wide open corner three, but it still wasn’t exactly his best decision. Fortunately for him, it didn’t hurt the Hornets — New York did not score again on the night — but a camera panned up and caught Jordan screaming at Oubre making a decision he did not like.

Oubre had an ok night off the bench otherwise, scoring 12 points in 27 minutes off the bench and going 4-for-10 from three. But the main takeaway here is that every single broadcast of Hornets games should include the option to watch a stream that is just Michael Jordan react to stuff that happens during the game.

The NBA Handed Out $110,000 In Fines For The Jazz-Pacers Scuffle

All four of the players who were ejected from Thursday night’s game between the Utah Jazz and the Indiana Pacers now owe the league a little bit of money. Indiana’s Myles Turner and Utah’s Rudy Gobert, Joe Ingles, and Donovan Mitchell have received fines for their roles in the altercation, with Gobert getting handed the harshest punishment of the bunch.

Gobert and Turner got tangled up after the former pulled the latter to the ground by his shorts, which led to the two fighting by grabbing each others arms and moving a little bit. As a result, Gobert was fined $35,000 and Turner owes $25,000. In the ensuing fracas, it was determined that Ingles pushed a referee, while Mitchell escalated things. Ingles got a $30,000 fine as a result, while Mitchell got the smallest fine of the bunch, as he’s now out $20,000.

After the game, both big men spoke about the incident, with Turner saying, “I had to stand up for myself in that situation. I don’t think I did anything wrong. But that’s not for me to decide. We’ll talk to the league and see what happens from there.” Gobert, meanwhile, expressed that he wasn’t going to throw a punch, but if someone wants to fight him, there are avenues to make that happen.

“If I don’t feel threatened I’m not gonna throw a punch and get suspended and hurt my team so I didn’t feel no threat at all and I’m not gonna fight on the basketball court,” Gobert said. “But if someone wants to fight I’m easy to reach. I’m very easy to reach. I’m just not going to do it on social media, like if anyone got a problem, Instagram, Twitter, WhatsApp, easy.”

J Balvin And Sech Connect For An Epic Warehouse Party In The ‘Una Nota’ Video

J Balvin has been on a hot streak for quite some time now, and his latest video does not disappoint. Along with Panamanian artist Sech, he’s debuting a new video off his latest album, JOSE, that’s stuffed to the brim with feel-good reggaeton vibes and plenty of partying. The two connect in a warehouse party that’s full of dancing women and characters who promise a very entertaining evening.

With every new release, though, Balvin just continues to prove that he can’t be boxed in. From last year’s brand collaboration with McDonalds, to his stranglehold on the Latin music charts, to his Tiny Desk concert near the New York’s east river, his range is always on display. And even when he does have a misstep, like his recent “Perra” video which faced criticism for its portrayal of Black women, he immediately apologizes and owns up to his mistakes.

After a powerhouse collaboration with the likes of Skepta and his recent reinvention of Metallica’s “Wherever I May Roam” as a reggaeton song, he’s made it more than clear that he’s just going to keep taking on unexpected ventures and expanding the world’s expectations. Check out the new video with Sech up above and keep your eyes peeled for whatever he may be up to next.

Britney Spears Is Free After A Judge Terminated Her Thirteen Year Conservatorship

After thirteen years, Britney Spears is finally free. Today a judge ruled that the conservatorship that has been controlling Britney’s person and her estate be terminated. “The court finds and determines that the conservatorship of the person and estate of Britney Jean Spears is no longer required,” ruled Los Angeles County Judge Brenda Penny “Effective today, with the caveats I mentioned, the conservatorship of the person and estate of Britney Jean Spears is hereby terminated.” Though some people have only recently been made aware of Britney’s situation, this ruling has been a long time coming.

The #FreeBritney movement began to pick up steam after the pop star refused to continue performing as part of her ongoing Vegas residency. A second wave of the movement crested in 2020, and reached a peak when The New York Times released a documentary called Framing Britney Spears that began to dive behind the scenes into legal underpinnings of her conservatorship.

Recently, Britney spoke publicly about the circumstances of her situation, and her moving testimony along with other damning evidence led to a judge suspending her father from the legal team that controlled her conservatorship. That was a big win for Spears, but today’s termination is the final step toward freedom.

A Certain Oscar-Nominated Actor Is ‘Casually Cruel’ In Taylor Swift’s Stunning ‘All Too Well: The Short Film’

“All Too Well,” Taylor Swift‘s most beloved (and best) song, is rumored to be about her relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal. “Rumored” as she never names the actor in the Track Five (because nothing rhymes with “Gyllenhaal”?), but come on. There’s a reason he’s public enemy No. 1 among Swifties on the day that Red (Taylor’s Version) came out — “All Too Well: The Short Film” probably isn’t going to win him any fans, either.

The 13-minute video of the 10-minute song premiered on Friday at New York City’s Lincoln Center 13, where Swift also performed the song live for the first time. Now, the short film can be enjoyed by everyone — except Jake and Maggie, presumably — as it’s available on YouTube. The emotional part-music video, part-domestic drama tracks the relationship between Stranger Things standout (and Swift mega-fan) Sadie Sink as Not-Taylor and Dylan O’Brien as Not-Jake; there’s also a surprise cameo at the end.

Swift, who directed the short, told Seth Meyers that if Sink had said no to the role, “I don’t think I would’ve made it. I don’t think I would’ve made the film. I think I would’ve just been like, this is a sign.” You can watch “All Too Well: The Short Film” above.

A TCU Running Back Says ‘We Want’ Deion Sanders After Coach Prime Had An ‘Impressive’ Interview

TCU is in the market for a new head football coach after Gary Patterson parted ways with the program at the end of October. It’s the rare good college football job that opens up in the middle of the season, so a number of names have been kicked around as candidates. Perhaps the most high-profile of the bunch is Deion Sanders, and if one TCU football player has his way, Coach Prime will make the jump to the Horned Frogs.

Zach Evans, the team’s top running back this season, tweeted out a plea for the university to hire Sanders, who has been the head coach at Jackson State for the last two seasons.

It is very easy to take this as a player having some fun on the internet, but the interesting thing here is that Sanders is legitimately a candidate for the job. According to a report by Drew Davison of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram earlier this week, the former two-sport star sat down with the selection committee tasked with finding a replacement for Patterson and did an admirable job.

Sanders had his first interview with TCU officials on Monday, sources said, and impressed. One source went as far as saying Sanders is expected to make the cut for the second round of interviews.

“I’m not saying he is going to get the job, not saying he’s the leading candidate at this point,” the source said, “but he is in the mix. He was impressive.”

Sanders’ current program sits 8-1 on the year and undefeated in conference play, which has led to Jackson State getting ranked 18th in FCS. Hopefully if he does make the jump to TCU, he can fill out his staff with some pretty big names, a thing that was rumored to have been the case when he took over the Tigers but did not come to fruition.

Security guard pulled a hilarious prank on a man who didn’t return his grocery cart

If you were unaware that not returning one’s grocery cart to the store or the stall was a major source of controversy, welcome to the internet. Entire articles have been written about the psychology of putting your cart away in the parking lot, there’s a “Shopping Cart Theory” that treats your cart-returning habits as a test of moral character, and people definitely have feelings about it.

(Full disclosure: I abandoned my cart in the parking lot once. I was a new mom with a screaming baby in the car and the cart return felt like it was miles away and I was wickedly sleep-deprived. So sorry. Please don’t flog me.)

People’s intense opinions on grocery cart etiquette may be why this video on Reddit of a security guard pulling a fast one on a man who did not appear to have any other reasonable excuse for not walking a few extra steps to return his cart is so popular. It feels like a bit of righteous justice being served as the bafflingly clueless man keeps being duped over and over again.

Watch:

People in the comments found it hilarious, though great debates were waged over whether or not the whole thing was staged. Where did all those carts come from? Was there some sort of cart clown car we can’t see? Why did the man never look around the other side of the car? Did he really never notice the security guard or the carts in his side-rear-window?

It’s hard to believe someone could be that oblivious—except if the QAnon era has taught us anything, it’s that more people are far more gullible than we could have possibly imagined. So perhaps it is plausible.

Whether or not it’s staged, it’s downright delightful with the woman’s laughter and “this is my kind of petty” running commentary.

“It’s like the parking lot version of a Western standoff!” Ha! And when the “mall cop” puts out his arm to shake the man’s hand, and then the man sheepishly helps him move all the carts to the cart return? Classic.

One thing’s for certain: Neither that man nor anyone who watches this video will ever not return a cart to the stall or the store again. Objectively, it actually is quite rude, knowing that someone else will eventually have to do it for you. (Again, sorry. I was just so very tired. I’ve made up for it, I promise.)

Therapist makes adorable videos explaining everything you should know about dog psychology

One of the most humane trends in the past 30 years of American life has been the decline in greyhound racing. After hitting its peak in 1985, state laws have led to the closure of racetracks across the country.

By the end of 2022, there will only be two active greyhound tracks in the United States, both in West Virginia.

The change in attitudes toward dog racing has meant an increase in greyhounds being rescued and living second lives as family pets. Greyhounds are great around children, have happy dispositions and, even though they’re fast on the track, they don’t require a lot of exercise.

This has led them to have the nickname the “45 mile-per-hour couch potato.”

Occupational therapist Taylor Huerta adopted a greyhound named Millie in 2018 and the pair has become quite the hit on social media. Huerta has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a doctoral degree in occupational therapy.

So it wasn’t long before Millie became one of her subjects of study.

“Psychology is a major aspect of my career and has always been a fascination of mine,” she told Bored Panda.

After adopting Millie, Huerta realized that her dog was anxious so she put on her therapist’s hat and began learning all she could about dog psychology.

“From separation anxiety to social anxiety, I got a first-hand glimpse into the psychology of a dog. It became my passion to educate myself on [the subject], and through many hours of research, I gained a better understanding of Millie,” Huerta explained.

She began posting videos on social media to help bridge the gap between humans and their fur babies. Heurta calls Millie a “noodle horse” because of her equine-looking features and spindly limbs that contort themselves into impossible shapes.

The result is a series of super-cute videos featuring Millie that are so popular, the MillieTheNoodleHorse TikTok page has more than 1.2 million followers. Here’s a selection of some of the cutest and most informative videos that’ll teach you a bit more about your four-legged friend.
