Billie Eilish Dwells On Heartbreak In An Elegant Bedroom For A Performance Of ‘Male Fantasy’

Billie Eilish’s second album, Happier Than Ever has been received positive reviews by critics and fans. Now they get to enjoy a lovelorn performance from the singer, thanks to a partnership with Vevo.

The video finds Eilish in an elegant bedroom with her brother and frequent collaborator Finneas to perform “Male Fantasy,” which serves as the album’s closer. Eilish uses the song to dwell on a past heartbreak while highlighting the difference between love in the real world and the companionship that lives in her mind. It’s the second performance she’s done for Vevo, the first being “Your Power” last month. Two more are planned for a total of four.

Hours after Happier Than Ever was made available, Eilish shared an Instagram post that touched on the album’s process as well as her feelings now that it’s out in the world. “I grew so much in the process of making this album and experienced so much self realization and self reflection,” she wrote. “I wish i could go back and make this album all over again because it was some of the best nights in my life.”

You can watch the performance in the video above.

Happier Than Ever is out now via Interscope. Get it here.

Seth Rogen Jokingly Assured People He Wasn’t Kidnapped After A TikTok Made Light Of His Love Of Ceramics

Some have spent the pandemic watching things (or drinking), but others were actually productive, getting around to making their own King Lears. One of those people is Seth Rogen, who, during quarantine, added “pottery maker” to a CV that already included actor, screenwriter, film director, author, and weed advocate. And his ceramics are pretty good! In fact, it’s kind of all he tweets about this day, when he’s not owning Ted Cruz. And a recent viral TikTok jokingly asked about the whereabouts of the real Rogen.

The video finds someone nailing a “missing” sign with Rogen’s face attached to a tree, while singing. “Has anyone seen Seth Rogen lately?” the man croons. “I’ve seen a lot of photos of his vases. Haven’t seen a recent photo of his face yet. I have a crazy hypothesis. Seth was kidnapped by a shady ceramicist.”

The TikTok got a lot of views, including from Rogen himself. And Rogen decided to make sure people weren’t worried about him.

“This video is very funny and not at all true! I have not been kidnapped!” he wrote, adding, “This is not a kidnapper writing this from Seth’s account! I promise!”

What is true is that Rogen got really, really into pottery. He and his wife even built a studio in their garage, and when he posts his resulting pieces on social media, they get a lot of love. But anyone worrying that Rogen will neglect his other talents shouldn’t: He’s always been good at compartmentalizing his interests. Besides, it’s not like his pottery is going to ever almost start a war with North Korea.

Kit Harington Was So Overwhelmed By Making ‘Game Of Thrones’ That He Had To Take A Full Year Off For His Mental Health

When Marvel’s Eternals drops in November, it will be the first major thing Kit Harington has done since Game of Thrones ended two years ago. (Unless you count Friends: The Reunion.) There’s a good reason why the actor has been a bit slow to find a follow-up role worthy of Jon Snow: He took a big break after the show finally wrapped up. He deserved a break, but according to a new interview, it was about more than that.

On a recent episode of Sirius XM’s The Jesse Cagle Show (as caught by The Hollywood Reporter), Harington opened up about how spending so long on a show filled with violence and emotional intensity wound up breaking him.

“I went through some mental health difficulties after Thrones, and during the end of Thrones, to be honest,” Harington admitted. “I think it was directly due to the nature of the show and what I had been doing for years.”

So when he was finally done with Snow, he made the decision not to hunt for more work. Instead he decided to “really concentrate on myself.” It turned out to be the smart move. “I’m really happy I did that.”

There was one catch, though. “Just when I was wanting to come back to work the pandemic hit,” he said. But he’s been able to get back to work. On top of Eternals, he filmed an episode of Amazon Prime’s Modern Love, for its second season. That was a nice change from dragons and bloodshed.

“You don’t have to live in that intense place all the time,” Harington told Cagle. “Why don’t you do something that takes the weight off? Why don’t you do something fun?”

You can watch Harington discuss his immediate post-Thrones life in the video above.

Amazon Prime’s First ‘Cinderella’ Trailer Is Full Of Charm, Music, And Camila Cabello

Okay, okay, so there have been a few retellings of Cinderella over the years… that doesn’t mean we can’t get excited for the one Amazon is currently putting together, right? Right. And good thing too, because so far, it’s looking like a truly charming time. In the first trailer for the upcoming Amazon Prime Video original, we get a glimpse of aspiring dressmaker Ella (Camila Cabello) and her humdrum life before her world is turned upside down by her “Fab G” (Billy Porter) and a night on the town. With plenty of musical numbers and jokes sprinkled in, this retelling seems to feature modern comedy in a fantasy world and has some serious A Knight’s Tale vibes.

According to the YouTube description, Amazon’s Cinderella is “a musically-driven bold new take on the traditional story you grew up with,” that follows “an ambitious young woman whose dreams are bigger than the world will allow.” However, through her own perseverance — and with a little help from her Fabulous Godmother — she is able to “make her dreams come true.”

In addition to Cabello, Idina Menzel, Minnie Driver, Nicholas Galitzine, James Corden, Billy Porter, and Pierce Brosnan will all star in the upcoming film. Kay Cannon of Pitch Perfect fame is serving as both the movie’s writer and director, with James Corden, Leo Pearlman, Jonathan Kadin, and Shannon McIntosh on board as producers. If all this has you excited to give it a watch, you’re in luck, as Cinderella hits Amazon Prime Video a month from today on September 3.

‘FBoy Island’ Had One Of The Biggest Debuts In HBO Max’s History (According To HBO Max)

Last weekend saw a new HBO Max horse enter the race: FBoy Island, a new reality dating show with an admittedly not-terrible hook: Three women, hoping for romance, not hook-ups, are given a whopping 24 men with whom to flirt and, maybe, find true love. But half of them are actually nice guys, hoping for real commitment, while the other dozen…are not. How will they know which is which? It’s a question a lot of people wanted answered, at least according to HBO Max.

The streamer claimed that not only did a lot of people watch the first three episodes of FBoy Island, but that it had, they claimed, “the biggest premiere weekend for a Max Original reality series.” Hooray! If anyone’s more deserving of success, it’s FBoys.

A couple caveats, though. For one, this only applies to HBO Max Original reality series, which is a pretty specific record to hold, especially since the service is only a year-and-change old.

For another, this is only according to HBO Max. Like most streamers, they don’t offer any real numbers, and there is no independent organization, like the Nielsens, that can verify their claims. The streaming world is still a wild west in terms of stats, and so the only response to hearing a joint like HBO Max — or especially Netflix, which only reports on viewership when they have a big (alleged) hit — claim they had huge numbers is to say: If y’all say so.

Kevin Hart and Snoop Dogg’s uncensored Olympics commentary is hilarious

When the COVID-19 pandemic socially distanced the world and pushed off the 2020 Olympics, we knew the games weren’t going to be the same. The fact that they’re even happening this year is a miracle, but without spectators and the usual hustle and bustle surrounding the events, it definitely feels different.

But it’s not just the games themselves that have changed. The coverage of the Olympics has changed as well, including the unexpected addition of un-expert, uncensored commentary from comedian Kevin Hart and rapper Snoop Dogg on NBC’s Peacock.

In the topsy-turvy world we’re currently living in, it’s both a refreshing and hilarious addition to the Olympic lineup.

Just watch this clip of them narrating an equestrian event. (Language warning if you’ve got kiddos nearby. The first video is bleeped, but the others aren’t.)

The duo has been sharing their unbridled thoughts since the opening ceremony:

Watch Kevin Hart explain to Snoop why the lane 8 gold medal upset is such a big deal in swimming:

Here they discuss how adding a word to a sport makes it a whole new sport, and Snoop proves he’s as quick as any comedian on the fly.

“Oh, that’s Auntie! Look at Auntie! Go ahead!” Snoop says, as 46-year-old Oksana Chusovitina performs the vault in gymnastics. Hilarious.

So many times since the pandemic started, it’s felt like we’ve just collectively tossed up our hands and said, “Whatever!” With Kevin Hart and Snoop Dogg commentating on the Olympics, it feels like that’s what Peacock did, and the coverage is all the better for it. We all need to laugh, and if it takes Snoop Dogg talking about Olympic dressage horses “crib walking” to make it happen, so be it.

Boomers and Millennials love sparring but *SURPRISE* their phone habits are eerily similar

The stereotype about Millenials (1981 to 1995) is that they are addicted to their smartphones. And, well, it’s kind of true, right? The generation that can hardly remember what the world was like without the Internet spends a lot of time staring at their phones.

On the other hand, the stereotype about Baby Boomers (1946 to 1964) is that they are Luddites who are often stymied by technology and had a really hard time making Zoom calls when COVID-19 hit.

However, this stereotype is not so true. The truth is, they’re a lot more alike than anyone thought. Is that such a bad thing?

A new study by Provision Living found that after surveying 1,000 Baby Boomers and 1,000 Millennials that both use their smartphones for about the same amount of time every day. The survey found that the average Millennial spends 5.7 hours a day on their smartphone and the average Boomer spends 5.

via Pixabay

Even more revealing is they use smartphone technology in only slightly different ways.

Overall, social media takes up the bulk of smartphone screen time for both generations. This is pretty obvious when you see the sheer number of news articles Boomers share on Facebook.

A report in Rolling Stone found that Boomers are much more likely to share fake news online than any other generation.

“For example, both Baby Boomers and Millennials spend an average of one hour or more on Facebook per day,” the study says. “Instagram ranks 2nd among both generations in terms of usage and activity with 52 minutes for millennials and 44 minutes for Baby Boomers”

From there, the generations go their separate ways.

“Baby Boomers spend a large portion of time on email with an average of 43 minutes per day. For Millennials, texting ranks 3rd with an average of 48 minutes per day,” the study says.

via Provision Living

The study proves that smartphone technology is addicting for just about everyone and that both young and wise both have a hard time putting their phones down. The research also has to be disheartening to the Boomers and Millennials who’ve defined themselves by being different from one another.

But the good news is that they have a lot more in common than they previously thought. Now, Boomers can’t yell at Millenials for having their faces stuck in their phones and Millenials can’t make fun of Boomers for not being able to change their printer ink.

The study did uphold one stereotype: Gen X is the most ignored generation. The researchers didn’t even bother to ask about the smartphone habits of the smaller generation born between 1965 and 1980.

However, a similar study found that the “Coolest Generation” suffers from the same smartphone addiction as their younger and older cohorts. Gen X uses their smartphones a little more than their Boomer elders and a little less than their Millennial nieces and nephews.

The next step should be for the generations to come together to make this world a better place by teaching one another how to be better at social media. The Boomers need to teach Millenials how to stop it with narcissistic selfies and the Millenials have to teach their grandparents about how to stop sharing fake news.

Gen X? Just keep doing your thing. No one is paying attention and that’s how you like it anyway.

Kendrick Nunn Will Join The Lakers After Becoming An Unrestricted Free Agent Earlier In The Day

Kendrick Nunn became an unrestricted free agent on Tuesday afternoon after the Miami Heat opted to pull his qualifying offer. While Nunn has been an effective member of Miami’s rotation in recent years, the team has been quite busy in free agency and seemingly decided that there just wasn’t room for Nunn on the roster.

It didn’t take long for Nunn to land somewhere else. According to multiple media reports, Nunn has decided to head to Los Angeles and suit up alongside LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, and the Lakers.

The terms of the deal came out shortly after, with Nunn getting two years from L.A. for $10 million.

Nunn joined the Heat in 2019 after a stint with the Golden State Warriors’ G League team. He came in second place in Rookie of the Year voting during the 2019-20 campaign and carved out a role as one of the team’s starting guards. While the Lakers have largely sought out more veteran players on cheap deals as they push for a championship next season, Nunn and the recently-signed Talen Horton-Tucker give them a pair of younger players who, at the very least, should help them get through a slog of a regular season next year.

In 56 games last season, Nunn averaged 14.6 points per game while connecting on 38.1 percent of his attempts from three.

Here’s Your First Glimpse Of Monica Lewinsky (Played By Beanie Feldstein) In ‘Impeachment: American Crime Story’

There was a time when Impeachment, the third installment of American Crime Story, almost didn’t happen. Ryan Murphy temporarily scrapped his telling of the Bill Clinton-Monica Lewinsky scandal before thinking better of it. And proof that he’s seeing it through can be found in the new poster for the series, which was debuted by its resident Lewinsky, Beanie Feldstein.

It also gifts the world with the first look at Feldstein as Lewinsky — sort of. It’s just her back as she stands, facing the White House, ready to unwittingly expose a sitting president’s extramarital affairs. Speaking of which, Sarah Paulson will play Linda Tripp, the co-worker who broke the news of her trysts with the commander-in-chief, partly by secretly taping their phonecalls. Meanwhile, Clive Owen plays Bill and Edie Falco Hillary, which sounds great — but not as great as Betty Gilpin’s Ann Coulter or Billy Eichner’s Matt Drudge.

Lewinsky herself has been heavily involved in the production, giving notes and advice on the scripts for every episode. In fact, it was roping her in that inspired Murphy to return to the project, having felt that a series that didn’t feature her input would be “gross.”

Impeachment: American Crime Story debuts on FX starting September 7.

The Lakers Will Bring Back Talen Horton-Tucker On A Three-Year, $32 Million Deal

Talen Horton-Tucker is headed back to Los Angeles. After spending the first two days of the NBA’s free agency period as a restricted free agent, Horton-Tucker and the Lakers were able to come to terms on a deal that prevented the promising young wing from signing an offer sheet with another team.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Horton-Tucker put pen to paper on a three-year deal that will keep him in L.A. for $32 million.

As a restricted free agent, another franchise could have potentially put the Lakers in a precarious position by signing Horton-Tucker to a hefty deal and daring them to match. Instead, Los Angeles was able to keep the 20-year-old with the only team for which he’s played during his NBA tenure. He also gives the team someone who is familiar with their style of play, something that could help him compete for early minutes as a number of other players get used to life in L.A.

With the Lakers bringing in a handful of veteran players in free agency, Horton-Tucker gives them the added bonus of a youngster with room to grow. Last season, the former second-round pick averaged nine points, 2.8 assists, 2.6 rebounds, and a steal in 20.1 minutes per game.
