In When Harry Met Sally, Harry meets Sally during a road trip from Chicago to New York City. It’s one of the most famous (and quotable) meet-cutes in movie history. We Live in Time, the new film from Brooklyn director John Crowley, also has a vehicular-based meet-cute, except instead of discussing whether men and women can be friends, Florence Pugh hits Andrew Garfield with her car. Hey, whatever works.

The decade-spanning A24 film stars Pugh and Garfield as Almut and Tobias, who hit it off following the, uh, accident. “Through snapshots of their life together — falling for each other, building a home, becoming a family — a difficult truth is revealed that rocks its foundation,” the official plot synopsis reads. “As they embark on a path challenged by the limits of time, they learn to cherish each moment of the unconventional route their love story has taken.” There’s happiness (they have a kid together), sadness (she appears to get diagnosed with cancer), and romantic strolls in the park together.

“Oh my god, I’m excited about that movie,” Pugh told ET Online about We Live in Time. “That one, we just had the most beautiful time making it — we made a real story about real people and I got to work with the most unbelievable actor that I feel so honored to be in his presence and shout lines back to him.”

We Live in Time opens in theaters on October 11.

There will always be weather, so in theory, weather-related disaster movies will always be relevant, because there is nothing quite as scary as a cow hurtling towards you at 90 MPH.

Twisters is the upcoming disaster flick that takes place in the same universe as Twister. That universe is Oklahoma.

The movie isn’t a sequel per se, but Daisy Edgar-Jones says that there are enough nods to the original. “It feels like a real next chapter, whilst also having so much love for the original,” she told Variety. “We have Dorothy [the weather sensor device from the first film]. We have moments and costumes that are mirrored from the original. A lot of crew who worked on the original worked on ours as well, including a large number of the visual effects guys.”

While Twisters hits theaters next week, the ending of the film implies that there could be more Twisters stories to tell.

When asked about a possible sequel in the future, Edgar-Jones seemed excited. “I mean, I’d have to read a script first and see what’s going on, but definitely. I love that world of storm-chasing. I think it would be fun to see what they could do next. I just don’t know what they would name it — would they just have to keep adding s’s to the end of Twisters?” She joked.

Maybe not Twisterss…but here are a few free ideas: Twist3rs, Twister3, or Twisters 3: Return of the King. Any of these would work.

One of the best shows on TV is returning… in 2025.

Apple TV+ has revealed that Severance season 2 will (finally!) premiere on Friday, January 17, 2025, nearly three years after season 1, followed by new episodes every Friday through March 21. There will be 10 episodes total. You can watch the date announcement trailer above.

In Severance, Mark Scout leads a team at Lumon Industries, whose employees have undergone a severance procedure, which surgically divides their memories between their work and personal lives. This daring experiment in “work-life balance” is called into question as Mark finds himself at the center of an unraveling mystery that will force him to confront the true nature of his work… and of himself. In season two, Mark and his friends learn the dire consequences of trifling with the severance barrier, leading them further down a path of woe.

Directed and executive produced by Ben Stiller and created, written, and executive produced by Dan Erickson, Severance stars Adam Scott, Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Zach Cherry, Jen Tullock, Michael Chernus, Dichen Lachman, John Turturro, Christopher Walken, and Patricia Arquette. The new cast members include Gwendoline Christie, Alia Shawkat, Merrit Wever, and Bob Balaban.

Ariana Grande generated some viral attention recently when she was heard switching between two different speaking voices. Now, she has addressed the situation in depth.

On a recent episode of the Shut Up Evan podcast (as ET notes), Grande explained, “I did just spend a long time playing a character every single day. [I trained] my voice to do different things for a long time before leaving for London and before any of this. The voice is in the body, it’s an instrument and muscle memory is a real thing.”

Grande was referring to her role as Glinda for the upcoming Wicked movies.

She also addressed a perceived double standard, saying, “I mean, you see male actors, sure people make jokes here and there as well about everybody who experiences something like this, but it’s always after the fact that they’re like, ‘Oh wow, how dedicated to his craft! What an amazing transformation! He’s a brilliant performer!’ But then it’s like, God forbid I sneeze like Glinda or something. […] It’s just that I am crazy. […] It’s the weirdest thing.”

Grande later added, “[It’s] a full-time commitment and it’s a lifestyle. It’s not something you can f*ck around with.”

This comes after Grande admitted she does change her voice intentionally and explained why: In a comment on a TikTok video, Grande explained, “habit (speaking like this for two years) and also vocal health [tea emoji] i intentionally change my vocal placement (high / low) often depending on how much singing i’m doing [crying emoji] i’ve always done this BYE.”

Moses Sumney is slated to star in the upcoming horror film, MaXXXine. But don’t think for a second that the multidisciplinary has forgotten about their musical background.

Yesterday (July 9), Moses treated supporters to another dose of their forthcoming EP, Sophcore (due out on August 2). Following “Vintage,” their latest single, “Gold Coast,” is a fresh exploration into the genre-blending of dance, ambient, and indie music.

As Moses sings about a sun kissed love, the lyrics video provides a serene backdrop to cover the listener in his blissful emotions. “Met you in Accra / Front/back bar / Dance on you and you dance on me

“Gold Coast” is the initiation of a steamy romance you never expected to wash up on your heart’s shore. In a statement, Moses shared the inspiration behind the upcoming body of work. “’Sophcore’ explores the meeting points between sensuality and intuition,” they said. “Esotericism and populism, Deep feeling and fun. It’s diving into subterranean rhythm, bass and drums, and making music for the hips as well as the heart.”

Yesterday (July 8), Ken Carson kicked off his Chaos Tour in Orlando, Florida. After Playboi Carti canceled his Antagonist Tour, which featured the “Freestyle 2” rapper, Destroy Lonely, and Homixide Gang fans weren’t sure how Ken would bounce back.

But, based on attendee’s reviews of his Chaos Tour‘s opening night, he did that and so much more. Now, he just needs to continue to out do himself until the tour concludes in October. After the height of COVID-19 pandemic, many musicians were eager to get back to “normal.” But for Rex Orange County, that’s when his hiatus actually began after facing being charged with six counts of sexual assault. However, before the end of 2022, chargers were officially dropped.

Now, the “One In A Million” musician is jumping back into the spotlight. Today (July 9), Rex Orange County took to Instagram to announce his forthcoming album, The Alexander Technique.

Although he didn’t share much about the upcoming project, (not about singles, visuals, guest features, or a release date) but based on the video Rex Orange County is confident about what he has in store. As the camera pans out from Rex Orange County in a deep meditative state, it revealed a Japanese-Inspired Minka backdrop by a tranquil body of water. The background of zen music specifically crafted for deep relaxation suggests that Rex Orange County could be venturing into a new sound.

On July 2, Rex Orange County sprinkled the first bread crumb of the project on X (formerly Twitter). “Ima be honest,” he wrote. “I am SOOOO excited for this music to be out in the world. It’s exactly what i’ve been wanting to release for the longest. Thank u for your patience .”

The next episode of LeBron James‘ unscripted show, The Shop, is nearly here. Each episode sets to match unlikely pairs for a deeply introspective chat about life, business, and more. For the forthcoming video, the seemingly unlikely duo is André 3000 and Sexyy Red.

However, in the teaser clip of the episode shared online today (July 9), André 3000 and Sexyy Red revealed they have a lot more in common than others may think. Outside of the obvious (being rappers), both confessed to being motivated by negative remarks and public ridicule.

“Like, they still don’t believe in me,” said Sexyy Red. “So, I just be like, ‘Imma just show you I am.’ Like he said, ‘They don’t understand.’ We really came from nothing, and then we be making a big achievements. That’s something for us. But they just be like, ‘You ain’t doing nothing.’”

“Use it for fuel,” added André. “Hater fuel is the best sh*t man. It’s free energy.”

“I like when they talk about me,” chimed Sexyy.

André echoed Sexyy’s response. “That make me go, it makes me go in. I love when someone doubt you.”

“Because now I’m finna show you something,” closed Sexyy.

DeMar DeRozan has suddenly found himself in the middle of rap’s most high-profile feud. After spending years as a member of the Toronto Raptors and forming a relationship with Drake, DeRozan appeared at Kendrick Lamar’s The Pop Out concert, then went on stage during as Lamar performed the song “Not Like Us,” and then appeared in the music video for the track.

It led to some questions about whose side he is on here, and fortunately, DeRozan got asked about the whole ordeal by Sean Cunningham of KTXL in Sacramento. Basically, DeRozan still has love for Drake, but his relationship with Lamar goes back a very long time, to the point that he considers him “basically family.”

“I mean, love Drake, love Drake, you always could play him,” DeRozan said when asked if they can keep playing Drake at Sacramento Kings games. “Kendrick’s been a friend of mine, family, damn near family for a long time, for a while. We from the same city, grew up damn near in the same neighborhood. So, it’s always been, it hasn’t always been publicized, but that’s basically family.”

DeRozan, of course, is the newest member of the Kings roster after joining the team thanks to a sign-and-trade. Whether Drake or Kendrick attend any Kings games because of this remains to be seen.

The current viral sensation of the moment is Hailey Welch, aka the Hawk Tuah Girl, after she went mega-viral for a brief appearance on Tim & Dee TV when she got asked for a go-to move that makes guys go crazy in bed and said you go “hawk tuah and spit on that thang.” For whatever reason, that has become and inescapable meme, and Welch is apparently cleaning up on her moment of fame.

As often happens when a meme becomes wildly popular, plenty of celebrities have looked to get in on the fun, and that included former Olympic gold medalist and WWE star Kurt Angle, who combined forces between his legendary staring meme and Hawk Tuah to fire off what was, objectively, a very funny tweet on Sunday. Unfortunately for Angle, the only person that didn’t find it funny was his wife, as Angle informed his fans that “Your Olympic hero is in the dog house right now” after deleting the tweet.

A “This post has been deleted” screenshot always makes something way funnier, and I really would like to have seen the conversation between Kurt Angle and his wife about what his tweet meant. Anyone who has had to explain an internet meme to a person who is not terminally online knows how difficult that can be, but especially if you have to explain to your wife why you made a joke about asking her for a blow job. Hopefully our Olympic hero finds his way out of the dog house soon, but I respect his “post first, ask for forgiveness later” policy when he has a banger.
