Justin Bieber Reflects On His Turbulent Rise To Fame With ‘Lonely’ Featuring Benny Blanco

For almost five years, Justin Bieber fans waited and wondered when their beloved pop star would make his return with his fifth album. Moments into the new year, Bieber gave that that answer with the announcement of his “Yummy” single, which would later appear on his fifth album, Changes. While some may have believed that Changes was the only full-length effort fans would get from Bieber, the pop singer made it clear in the last month that may be more in store from him in 2020. Fueling rumors towards his sixth album, Bieber returns with Benny Blanco by his side for his “Lonely” single.

The new single finds the two working together for the fourth time in their careers, including Bieber’s No. 1 tracks “Love Yourself” and “Cold Water” with MO and Major Lazer. For their latest collaboration, Bieber and Benny tone things down in comparison to their past upbeat records. On the record, Bieber reflects on his rocky rise to fame filled with the “sh*t I did as an idiot kid,” as he says on the track. While he admits to the wrongs he committed along the way, Bieber says it was even harder to navigate through it all without someone he could trust.

The single arrived after Bieber launched a “new era” with Chance The Rapper for his “Holy” single. The track was attached to a heart-warming video that found Bieber and actress and singer Ryan Destiny as a couple who suffered from a series of unfortunate events in their life, all over which pushed them closer and closer to rock bottom. Luckily a Good Samaritan arrived to save their day and provide them a momentary wave of comfort.

You can listen to “Lonely” in the video above.

Nas And Joey Badass ‘Keep It Moving’ On A Soul-Sampling Track With Statik Selektah And Gary Clark Jr.

If I told you a few years ago that Nas would be more active than Joey Badass in 2020, you would’ve probably laughed at me or told me stick to my trap music.

However, that’s how it’s been over the past three years. Nas has delivered three albums during that span and Joey Badass is just making his return with what fans hope is an album just as good as his first two efforts, B4.Da.$$ and All Amierkkkan Badass. As he continues work on that third album, Joey Badass links up with Nas as the two Brooklyn native bring their talents together to supply a pair of verses each to Statik Selektah’s new single, “Keep It Moving,” with Gary Clark Jr.

The track, which is set to appear on Selektah’s upcoming The Balancing Act project, is wrapped in a soulful sample of Isaac Hayes’ “Walk On By.” Without a hook for the two rappers work around, Nas and Joey Badass trade a pair of verses on the track with Nas leading the way before letting Joey steps through with some bars of his own. As a whole, the track is centered the two rappers’ determination to not let life’s obstacles and hardships slow them down or stop their from their overarching goals.

“Keep It Moving” arrives after Nas delivered his thirteenth album, King’s Disease, and Joey Badass made his return in the summer with The Light Pack EP.

Lana Del Rey Begs For A New Chance At Love On Her New Single, ‘Let Me Love You Like A Woman’

Lana Del Rey is currently working on her Norman F*cking Rockwell follow-up, an album that she’s been teasing over the past couple of months. Despite the teases, she has yet to give fans a time frame for when they can expect the new album. However, it seems like it will be sooner than later as the singer unveils the album’s lead single, “Let Me Love You Like A Woman.” Sharing her first solo single of the year, Lana delivers her latest track, “Let Me Love You Like A Woman.” The track finds her speaking to an unknown love interest that she has seemingly known for only a short time. Despite this, Del Rey is prepared to run off with them and live out the enjoyable future she envisions with them.

The single arrives after Lana Del Rey revealed its title in an update about her Chemtrails Over The Country Club album last month. In the update, which she gave from the set of the music video for the album’s title track, she said the album would be “coming out soon,” but in the music industry, “soon” can mean anywhere between three months and three years. If the album arrives by the end of the year, it would be Del Rey’s second project of the year following her Violet Bent Backwards Over The Grass poetry book.

On a more recent note, Del Rey joined Matt Maeson for a gentle remix of his “Hallucinogenics” track.

Drake Supplies A Toxic Verse To Remix Yung Bleu’s Confident ‘You’re Still Mine’ Track

The rollout for Drake’s upcoming sixth album, which he revealed is titled Certified Lover Boy, began with the release of his “Laugh Now Cry Later” single with Lil Durk. Since the song’s release, Drake has left fans to chase rumors and guess when his highly-anticipated project will arrive. In all honesty, the wait for Certified Lover Boy hasn’t been as grueling as fans may have expected thanks to Drake and his will to work with a wide range of different artists including 21 Savage, Bryson Tiller, and DJ Khaled. Adding another name to the guest feature list, Drake joins Yung Bleu for a remix of his “You’re Still Mine” track.

The remix touches down just days after Yung Bleu posted an Instagram DM conversation between him and Drake that shows the Toronto rap star expressing interest in remixing one of his tracks. “Let’s do that remix,” Drake says in one message. “I just need a version of that song with a open verse.” Until just before the track’s release, the song Drake referred to was unknown but we know now he chose “You’re Still Mine” from Yung Bleu’s newly-released Love Scars EP: The 5 Stages Of Emotions. On the remix, Drake and Yung Bleu step forth as toxic exes who refuse to let their past lovers move on and build a life without them. Begging for their return, the two artists lay off lines like “She don’t wanna go to sleep, she angry / Lately she been noticin’ he ain’t me,” while reminiscing on the past relationship and ways it could be better.

The Wu-Tang Clan Has Opened A Surprise Pop-Up Shop In West Hollywood

Attention Wu-Tang fans! This morning, the Wu-Tang Clan announced on their official social media channels that they’d be setting up in West Hollywood, California with a surprise pop-up shop that runs from today, Thursday, October 15th, until Sunday, October 18th. What will you find at the Wu-Tang pop-up? We have no clue at this point, but we’re expecting all sorts of limited-edition apparel drops, maybe a vinyl pressing or two, and, if we’re lucky, the black and yellow Wu-Tang Nike Air Force 1s.

Right now details on what is going down at the pop-up are scarce, few if any social media posts linked to the event exist right now, all we really know is that the shop has the operating hours of 11 am to 7 pm and we can assume you’ll need a mask to enter, per county regulations. The Wu-Tang Clan twitter account has been steadily posting images of Wu-Tang apparel so we’re assuming this is a mostly apparel-focused drop.

The Wu-Tang pop-up shop is located at 7667 Melrose Ave a few blocks from Pink’s Hot dogs and a whole host of other dope shops and restaurants, so you can make a whole socially-distanced day out of it. Be aware — lines have been reported around the block.

Jimmy Kimmel And ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ Paid Tribute To The Late Regis Philbin

Regis Philbin is one of the many people who died in what’s been a tragic year, and his death is still being felt among those who know him best. That includes at ABC, where he hosted shows including Who Wants To Be A Millionaire for decades. With the show back on the air and Jimmy Kimmel hosting, it paid special tribute to Philbin, who died in July.

In a nearly two minute clip, the show highlighted some fun moments Philbin had behind the scenes with celebrities and guests, including Dana Carvey doing his Regis impression with the legend next to him. There’s also a very funny scene where Rosie O’Donnell excitedly hugs him before taping a celebrity edition of Millionaire, and he says “give her $100 bucks and get her out of here” in a very funny deadpan.

The video also shows a moment between Kimmel and Philbin interacting on the Millionaire set, as the former host showed up on the first day of filming with Kimmel at the helm. They toured the set and chatted for a bit, and later Kimmel reflected on the importance of the moment.

“It was great to see him and it was just exciting to have him there,” Kimmel said. “Because this is his show. I’m hosting, but this is his show.”

Kimmel told Philbin that he “built this house” during the tour, and gave him high praise in person.

“Regis: no one will ever be better at doing this than you. No one. Ever,” he said. “And I’m not just being false humble by saying that. It’s true. You’re the best.”

Reflecting back on that day, Kimmel said “it’s like he left me a beautiful car,” and the segment finished with some touching moments of Regis on set with others over the years. It was a fitting tribute that showed just how big an impact Philbin was on the show and how much he means to the new production to this day, and served as a touching reminder of his passing ahead of the show’s return this weekend.

Spider-Cat In ‘Spider-Man: Miles Morales’ Has Gamers Very Excited

There are a lot of reasons to be excited about Spider-Man: Miles Morales. The gameplay trailers and footage we’ve seen thus far look spectacular, as the game takes full advantage of the high-powered PlayStation 5 for an incredibly realistic appearance and the ability to create a sprawling world that doesn’t require load screens to get from one corner to the other.

For many, the new Spider-Man title is enough reason to purchase a PS5 on release day, so they can dive into one of the most highly anticipated releases of the year from Day 1. In case you weren’t totally sold on the game, Game Informer released some more gameplay video on their YouTube channel that shows a sidekick that you pick up at some point when you rescue a stolen bodega cat named Spider-Man who eventually gets a mask of its own and helps you fight bad guys by leaping out of your bookbag and scratching them.

I am not a comic book person so I have no idea if Spider-Cat is, like, an actual thing or if it’s a delightful addition by the game, but it certainly has me even more intrigued by what all Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be bringing to the table if “fighting crime with a masked cat in your backpack” is an actual, real thing.

Flo Milli Is The ‘Mean’ Girl Snot Desires In The Haunting Video For Their New Collab

After letting her debut project, Ho, Why Is You Here?, marinate for a few months, Flo Milli is back in action, but this time it comes in the form of a new collaboration with fellow Southerner Snot. Hailing from Florida, Snot recruited Flo Milli for their new effort, “Mean,” one they have released with a new Cole Bennett-directed video.

The visual begins with Snot hiding a gun in his waist and walking out of a classroom as a group of people sprint out of the room behind him. After discarding what appears to be incriminating evidence, Snot casually walks away from the scene but soon after he’s approached by a cop. He then discards of the officer before making his way to Flo Milli’s house where she’s in the midst of an argument with her love interest. Once again, Snot takes matters into his own hands and gets rid Flo Milli’s problem for her.

The video comes at the backhand of what’s been a breakout year for Flo Milli. After making some noise with her SVW-sampling video for “Weak,” one that finds her dismissing the men in her life that she labels as inadequate among other things, the Alabama native made her presence known with Ho, Why Is You Here? The project was highlighted by standout efforts including “In The Party” and “Not Friendly.” Her year continued with added promotion to the project in the form of a flashy video for “Send The Addy” and “May I.”

Trump Refused To Denounce Wacko QAnon Conspiracy Theories In His NBC Town Hall

Donald Trump was asked directly about the wild QAnon conspiracy on Thursday night, and much like his public comments about the white supremacist group the Proud Boys last month he did little to distance himself from the vast conspiracy theory. A second debate between Trump and Joe Biden didn’t happen on Thursday night, as a disagreement over the debate format led to Trump refusing to participate.

Instead, both Trump and Biden held individual town hall-style events, where NBC’s Savannah Guthrie throwing a number of things at Trump to comment on. One of those was QAnon, a vast conspiracy hatched in online image boards in recent years that believes a high-ranking government insider is leaking information through an anonymous account online.

The history of this unhinged theory and its spread to the fringes of mainstream culture has been well-covered elsewhere, but the gist is that Donald Trump is the last line of defense against a satanic cabal of pedophiles that traffic children through the Democratic party and other areas of power. QAnon followers believe a variety of wild theories that have all combined into one larger crusade for Trump and his savior status, and in some ways it’s gone mainstream and often viral in recent months, with “save the children” rallies fueled by QAnon hysteria. There was also that woman who thought Adult Swim was a satanic cult who had QAnon slogans and phrases on her Twitter account as well.

With all that said, Trump was asked whether he would distance himself from the satanic cult conspiracy theory and refused to, saying he didn’t know anything about them despite Guthrie explaining it to him beforehand.

“I know nothing about it,” Trump said, though he then admitted that they are “very strongly against pedophilia, and I agree with that.”

At one point, Trump said he could not know whether the root of the QAnon conspiracy — that there’s a “satanic pedophile cult” secretly running high levels of government and Hollywood — currently exists in America.

Trump also drew ire from people on social media for belittling Guthrie and interrupting her throughout the night.

The episode will obviously do little to stop those who believe the entirely baseless conspiracy in the first place, as it has slowly taken hold on social media, especially those on Facebook (though in recent days the site has said it’s finally banning its groups and content). And it got quite a reaction online as part of what was a wild night for Trump.

Guthrie also pointed out Trump sharing a theory on Twitter that Barack Obama had members of Seal Team 6 killed, which he also didn’t deny.

With less than three weeks left before the election and Trump trailing in the polls, he’s desperate to get any kind of momentum going in his nationally televised events. But it seems all he was able to manage on Thursday night was to rile up people who are already some of his biggest supporters.

We’re Picking Winners For Week 6 Of The 2020 NFL Season

With bye weeks and COVID-related uncertainty, it is possible that Week 6 of the 2020 NFL season could be in flux again by Sunday. Opportunity remains in the betting market, though, and Week 5 was kind to us with a 4-1 mark in this space.

We’re back with a five-pack of selections for this week’s slate but, before that, let’s catch up on the year-long progress.

  • Week 5: 4-1
  • 2020 Season: 16-8-1

Come get these winners.

Houston Texans (+3.5) over Tennessee Titans

This is a (very) short week for a Titans team that played on Tuesday evening. Tennessee is at home, but this is kind of a Super Bowl for Houston. The Texans might be dead already but, with a loss here, their season will be in the ground, and they seem to be enjoying the post-Bill O’Brien experience. Is Tennessee better than Houston? Maybe, but this is a good situational spot for the Texans.

New England Patriots and Denver Broncos UNDER 23.5 points in the first half

Unders are dangerous business this season in the NFL, and I get that. I think there might be value in the market, though, and this is a nice spot. Bill Belichick can tee off from a game plan perspective against an unimpressive Broncos offense, and the Patriots might be more than willing to keep the ball on the ground while keeping the clock moving — especially as Cam Newton possibly returns to the fold. I like this more than the full game total and the Patriots should have defensive success.

New York Jets (+9.5) over Miami Dolphins

The Jets may never cover a game again. New York is 0-5 against the spread, and it’s been excruciating in the process. In addition, the Jets got some unfortunate press with the Le’Veon Bell release this week and, well, there isn’t a lot to believe in with this team. With all of that out of the way, the Dolphins can’t be laying 9.5 points. That’s just too many. We were on Miami last week with great success, but the only side is the dog in this spot.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+1) over Green Bay Packers

Green Bay has been a machine this season, and we’ve been against them with bad results. The Packers are even undefeated against the spread. As such, the world is on Aaron Rodgers and company on the road, but we are not. Tampa Bay hasn’t been firing on all cylinders necessarily, but the Bucs should have both of their star wide receivers back, and Green Bay shouldn’t have the kind of rampant offensive success they’re used to with Tampa Bay’s defense on the field. I love a good team at home with a plus sign next to their name.

Dallas Cowboys (+1.5) over Arizona Cardinals

The absence of Dak Prescott is undeniably huge for Dallas. That is also the explanation for a severe move in this number when compared to the look-ahead line. I do think it’s a bridge too far, though, as the Cowboys still have a talented roster and a reasonably solid player at quarterback in Andy Dalton. If this was on a neutral, I would understand Arizona as a favorite, but the Cardinals shouldn’t be favored on the road, even with Dalton under center. It’s a bit scary to have Dallas sitting at 0-5 against the spread, but they are the side.
