Washington Will Go By Washington Football Team Until Picking A New Name

As the Washington NFL franchise continues the process of formally rebranding and choosing a new name, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the franchise will go by the name Washington Football Team for the foreseeable future.

Schefter reported this will not be the official new name of the team that owner Dan Snyder committed to choosing this month, but an intermediate step until the franchise can undergo a full name selection process and rebrand.

Many had noted that choosing a new name for a sports franchise often takes years, and that Washington would have only a handful of weeks until the NFL season began to replace signage, jerseys, and merchandise. This is a step toward a rebrand that will allow Washington to maintain its color scheme and instead just go about removing its logo from FedEx Field and all other official products and branded items.

Schefter confirmed as much, posting photos of the new jerseys and noting that the old logo will be replaced with players’ numbers in gold.

The change was precipitated when FedEx, Nike and other corporate sponsors threatened to cut ties with Washington earlier this summer unless the name was changed. Among the new names reportedly in contention are the Warriors and the Sentinels. Earlier this week, fans discovered that the organization may have web trademarks for a website with the Sentinels name, with official trademarking potentially the last roadblock to an official name change.

Charlize Theron’s ‘Fury Road’ Stunt Double Opens Up About The Oscar Winner’s ‘Intense’ Feud With Tom Hardy

Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy notoriously did not get along during the making of Mad Max: Fury Road, one of the best movies of the 2010s. They’ve since buried the hatchet, with Theron admitting that “in a weird way, we were functioning like our characters: Everything was about survival,” which is good, because it’s entertaining to read about how much they were at each other’s throats (or as Zoë Kravitz put it, they “just weren’t vibing”) while shooting George Miller’s masterpiece. The latest tell-all comes from Theron’s stunt double, Dayna Grant, who described the “intense” atmosphere on set.

“It was really hard. It was hard because it was obviously I had to spend time with both of them and both of them didn’t want to be together,” Grant told Metro. “Usually Charlize would come in and they’d do scenes together, but they didn’t want to do scenes together, so I was put in her spot to always be with Tom. Tom’s double was always put with Charlize, so we actually worked with the opposite characters.” She continued:

“We knew right from the get go. We knew from the beginning that it was happening when we were doing the fight choreography… there was tension then. So we were told what was going on. And we were just told to try and make it work as much as possible, which was challenging, because usually you’re all in one big group and working together whereas we were kind of separated.”

You probably wouldn’t want to be around your co-worker for 120 days, either. Anyway, it all worked out. Mad Max: Fury Road made a ton of money and was nominated for 10 Oscars, and Theron and Hardy (a mask-wearing icon) didn’t murder each other. Win win!

Donald Faison Has Another Superhero Role In Mind After His Turn In ‘Kick-Ass 2’

Zach Braff and Donald Faison’s Scrubs podcast, Fake Doctors, Real Friends, turned to comic-book talk (and doesn’t everything go that way these days?) in its latest episode. In the process, Faison unloaded a wish to suit up again in a universe different than our own. This is also not a massive surprise, given that Faison’s a mega-Star Wars nerd (and has done voice work to that effect) and portrayed Doctor Gravity in Kick-Ass 2. However, he’s not giving up on more heroics, and he was delighted to express as much to former Scrubs co-star (and current The Flash presence) Tom Cavanagh.

Cavanagh, of course, has portrayed Eobard Thawne/Harrison Wells as well as sitting in the director’s chair for The CW show at various points. And Faison didn’t waste time in making his pitch — he wants to play a Green Lantern in the Arrowverse and sees no reason why this shouldn’t happen. “There’s so many that are in the Lantern Corps, and also size doesn’t matter when you’re a Lantern,” Faison reasoned. “You can be tiny, you can be wide. I think that’s one character that would be a lot of fun to play. There’s so many people in the DC Universe… I’d love to be Green Lantern.”

Yep, the possibilities are truly endless when it comes to the Lantern Corps, and Faison is making his case while pointing out that having Green Lantern in the Arrowverse was hinted at when Arrow concluded, and Stargirl hasn’t shied away from suggesting that some Lantern-ing was on the horizon. So, let’s hope that the seed has been planted in Cavanagh’s mind, and one day, we might see Faison sporting a Power Ring.

Xbox Kicked Off Its Series X Showcase By Debuting ‘Halo Infinite’

Fans of the Halo series haven’t seen a game hit consoles since 2017’s Halo Wars 2, while they haven’t gotten anything in the game’s main series of releases since Halo 5: Guardians in 2015. It’s been announced that the wait would come to an end a little bit later this year, and on Thursday during the Xbox Series X Showcase, Microsoft unveiled a trailer and gameplay footage for the console’s most highly-anticipated release of the year, Halo Infinite.

The event kicked off with information about the game, including a trailer that invites gamers to “Become Halo Infinite.”

Things then dove into gameplay, which shows what appears to be the game’s opening scene and then some exploring of the world within the game as the series’ iconic main character, Master Chief, in what is being billed as the most expansive campaign in Halo history.

Things like a release date, pricing, and whether or not there will be special editions of the game are still unclear, but Microsoft did announce that Halo Infinite will drop sometime during this holiday season. In addition to the game being released on the Xbox Series X, which also still does not have a set release date but is going to come sometime later this year, Halo Infinite will drop on Xbox One and for Microsoft Windows.

Dallas Wings Rookies Bella Alarie And Ty Harris Discuss Their Decision To Join Under Armour

Under Armour has signed Bella Alarie and Tyasha Harris of the Dallas Wings and Kaila Charles of the Connecticut Sun to its basketball lineup, the shoe giant announced Thursday. As part of their individual multi-year deals, the trio of rookies will wear the UA HOVR Breakthru, Under Armour’s first basketball performance footwear specifically designed for female athletes, this season.

Alarie was drafted fifth overall in the 2020 WNBA Draft in April, becoming the highest-drafted player to come out of Princeton in the program’s history. The 6’4 forward averaged 17.5 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 2.3 assists last season for the Tigers while shooting 47.4 percent from the field and 35.6 percent from three on 2.6 attempts per game. She led Princeton to a 26-1 overall record, including a 22-game winning streak, en route to being named the Ivy League Player of the Year for the third straight year.

After a stellar season at South Carolina, Harris was selected by the Wings with the seventh overall pick. Under head coach Dawn Staley, the 5’10 guard developed into a strong passer, averaging 5.6 assists per game along with 12 points per contest in her senior season. The Gamecocks had a season to remember in 2019-20; the team earned the No. 1 ranking in the country after posting a 32-1 overall record and winning their fifth SEC championship in six years before the COVID-19 pandemic shut sports down.

Harris and Alarie will be looking to make their professional debuts this weekend when the Wings play the Atlanta Dream in their first game of the season on July 26 at 5 p.m. ET. We caught up with the Dallas rookies on Thursday to talk about their new shoe deal with Under Armour, life in the “wubble” and the Wings’ expectations for the 2020 season.

First off, how are you? What has your experience in the “wubble” been like so far?

Alarie: It’s obviously not how I expected my rookie year to go, being here in Florida. But I see it as a huge blessing in disguise, getting to know my teammates really well and the women all over the league. It’s just been a really cool experience, so my first two weeks have been awesome.

Bella, you went from playing at Princeton to getting drafted fifth overall, and now you just signed a shoe deal with Under Armour. What has that journey been like for you, especially as a player coming from an Ivy League school?

Alarie: Yeah, I take it with a lot of pride, having such a unique journey. And I’ve always kind of seen myself as a little underrated, undersized growing up. Getting recruited, I wasn’t on a lot of the Power 5 teams list of players to recruit, and so for me, I’m really proud of how much I’ve grown as a player and person. Going to Princeton, it was an easy decision for me because they have an amazing basketball program, but they felt like a family there and I knew that it would push me on and off the court. And so now, I got the best of both worlds. I got to graduate with a degree from Princeton and get drafted No. 5 in the WNBA.

How did this shoe deal come about and what drew you to signing with Under Armour?

Alarie: Growing up in Bethesda, I’ve seen Under Armour all around me as it’s a Maryland brand, so it was a big part of my life in basketball. And so I loved it from the start. I was super excited when they reached out and started talking to me about a shoe deal and everything. And Jay Bilas is part of the Under Armour family; he’s my godfather, so that was like a family-business thing. But I’m excited to kind of be in that partnership with him, too, and be a part of this family with someone who’s a part of my family as well.

Recently, we’ve seen some noteworthy shoe deals in the WNBA with Natasha Cloud and Converse, Sabrina Ionescu signing with Nike and Liberty duo Asia Durr and Kia Nurse joining Jordan Brand last year. What do you think it says about the growth of women’s basketball and the WNBA that large sneaker companies are trying to further develop their brand on the women’s side?

Alarie: Every time I step on the court, there are young girls who look up to me and all the the other players in the WNBA, and so I’ve just seen — from the little time I’ve been a part of the Under Armour brand — how much they focus on growing the women’s game specifically with not only products, but just supporting them and growing the game for them. It’s awesome for all these women who are getting shoe deals, but I’m just happy that Under Armour is really focused on growing the game for the women’s side as well.

Harris: It’s amazing, I kind of picture it as a female Steph Curry because of how he ran off with Under Armour and blew it up in the NBA. It feels good to be one of the first people to rock and support Under Armour in the WNBA. There are a lot of people who rep Nike, but I’m always for not going the traditional route and trying to do something different, and [Under Armour is] behind me with that.

Looking forward to this weekend and the start of the 2020 WNBA season, how are you feeling?

Alarie: It’s kind of that mix of excitement and nerves because it’s going to be my first game and you kind of don’t know what to expect until you’re out there on the floor. But I feel like in these past few weeks of training camp, my coach is really preparing me and my teammates to go out and win these games. Especially in our first matchup — I’m excited, we’re playing the Atlanta Dream on Sunday and the only other Princeton player is on that team, Blake Dietrick. I think it’s a really cool story to see the only two Ivy Leaguers out there on the court together.

What have the team scrimmages been like so far in terms of getting you acclimated to the league?

Alarie: We’ve played a handful of teams already — we’ve played the Seattle Storm, Las Vegas Aces, Phoenix Mercury, and we’re playing the Minnesota Lynx today, so I’m getting a taste of all the best teams in the league early on which I think it really awesome for me to have that experience before I play my first official game. But it’s obviously an adjustment and these teams all have different playing styles. I know me and my teammates get excited when we get to play someone other than ourselves because we get to put on the same color and compete and see how much we’ve grown in the past few weeks, but it’s been really cool to go up against people like Breanna Stewart and Brittney Griner in my first few weeks of training camp.

Harris: It was good going against other teams and getting a feel for how other people play. For me personally, it’s good for me just to get to run up and down the floor, call out plays [and] play against players that I’ve looked up to since I was young.

Courtesy of Under Armour

Are there any specific parts of your game that you’ve been trying to work on in particular?

Alarie: I think for me it’s about being more versatile and a match-up nightmare when I can be. And so, especially in the offseason, I spent a lot of time working on my three-point shot and working on my strength obviously. Working on post moves, things like that, using my height to an advantage and my versatility will be important for me this season.

Harris: Having a scorer’s mentality and being more aggressive. It just comes with being more assertive with my play and more aggressive for my team, while still being a point guard on the floor.

Ty, what is the biggest thing that you learned at South Carolina that you are taking with you to the WNBA?

Harris: Everything that [Coach Dawn Staley has] done, I’m going to dream that that’s my goal to do [as well]. She taught me a lot — everything that she said to me at South Carolina, I took it and put it in my pocket because I knew I could use it for the future. The biggest thing she taught me is that being a point guard is a mind game — you can have all the skills in the world, but I think having a high IQ and the mental capacity to play the game with the team and the coach is what’s going to take you far in life.

This year, the Wings have one of the youngest teams in the league. What are your expectations for this season?

Alarie: We’re definitely setting high expectations for ourselves because we have a lot of talent, and we can be a really great group if we just continue to work hard and trust our coach. We’re young but we’re really talented and once we’ve spent enough time together, developing our chemistry, I’ve already seen in the first week, how much we can grow and learn in such a short period of time. I think we’re going to be a really fun team to watch because we are surrounded by a lot of great players.

Before the 2020 WNBA Draft, a lot of people mentioned how the tough Ivy League defenses you faced at Princeton could potentially help you adjust to the WNBA. Now that you’ve spent a little bit of time in the league, do you think there’s any truth to that?

Alarie: When I played in the Ivy League, I got double-teamed, triple-teamed all the time, and so I had to learn how to play in a lot of congestion with the defense really focused on me. And so now, because I’m surrounded by a lot of great players and playmakers, players like [Arike Ogunbowale] for example, I find myself more open. And because we have players that can create for each other and because we can all do a lot of different things on the floor. So I think it opens the game up for me in a lot of ways.”

Since you’ve played with Harris for the national team before, was it helpful at all to have that familiar face when you walked into the Wings locker room, especially in such a strange season?

Alarie: I’ve known her since after my freshman year in college — we played U19 basketball together and we played together last summer in the PanAm games, so I have spent a fair amount of time with [Harris], and it was really nice to see her get drafted too, to have that familiar face on the Wings. I do think we do have a little bit of chemistry from playing together in the past and that definitely has translated over to the Wings because we kind of know each other’s strengths.

Aaron Dessner Describes Working With Taylor Swift On Her New Album: ‘I’ve Rarely Been So Inspired’

Taylor Swift shocked the music world this morning by announcing that she will release a new album, Folklore, tonight. In her announcement, she noted that Aaron Dessner was a huge part of the record, but Dessner may not exactly be a household name in pop circles. Indie fans know him well, though, thanks to his work as a member of The National. He has also been seen performing with Michael Stipe recently, and some people were (incorrectly) convinced that he was an Antifa organizer.

Now, he has described what it was like working with Swift, and he makes it clear that he walked away from the experience very impressed with the pop star. He wrote about collaborating with Swift remotely and his surprise at how quickly he and Swift were able to produce finished songs. He noted that working with Swift, he has “rarely been so inspired by someone,” writing:

“I was excited and honored when Taylor approached me in late April about maybe writing some songs remotely together. I had been isolating with my family but writing a ton of music in the first months of quarantine which I shared. I thought it would take a while for song ideas to come and I had no expectations as far as what we could accomplish remotely. But a few hours after sharing music, my phone lit up with a voice memo from Taylor of a fully written version of a song — the momentum never really stopped. Over the next few months, we remotely finished 11 songs (She also recorded several others with the amazing Jack Antonoff) of her magical new album ‘folklore’. I’ve rarely been so inspired by someone and it’s still hard to believe this even happened — these songs came together in such a challenging time.”

The post concludes, “I’m very proud of all these songs and profoundly grateful to Taylor for inviting me into and trusting me in her process. She is one of the most talented, hardworking and deeply caring artists I’ve ever encountered. There’s a palpable humanity and warmth and raw emotion in these songs that I hope you’ll love and take comfort in as much as I do.”

Dessner also reveals some of the other folks who contributed to Swift’s album, including Beirut member Kyle Resnick, multi-instrumentalist Rob Moose, and pianist and producer Thomas Bartlett (also known as Doveman). The latter two have worked with an esteemed roster of indie artists like St. Vincent, The National, Sufjan Stevens, Vampire Weekend, and Florence And The Machine. Bartlett also produced Stevens’ Call Me By Your Name song “Mystery Of Love,” which was nominated for a Grammy and an Academy Award.

I’ve rarely been so inspired by someone and it’s still hard to believe this even happened — these songs came together in such a challenging time. It wouldn’t haven’t been possible without so much help from first and foremost my engineer Jon Low. And my brother Bryce Dessner’s beautiful orchestration on several songs from across the ocean. Justin helped to write and sing a beautiful song and so many other friends from our community contributed brilliantly from their respective isolation — Ben Lanz, Bryan Devendorf, Bryce Dessner, Clarice Jensen, Dave Nelson, James McAlister, Jason Treuting, Josh Kaufman, JT Bates, Kyle Resnick, Rob Moose, Thomas Bartlett, and Yuki Numata Resnick — More on them later! I’m very proud of all these songs and profoundly grateful to Taylor for inviting me into and trusting me in her process. WNBA Wubble Preview: What To Expect From The New York Liberty In 2020

After going 10–24 last season, the New York Liberty are in full rebuild mode and will begin a new era on July 25, 2020, at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. Some major changes came to New York this offseason — the Liberty traded All-Star player and franchise cornerstone Tina Charles to the Washington Mystics, while Walt Hopkins replaced Katie Smith as head coach. This team has one the youngest rosters in the league with seven rookies, including the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 WNBA Draft, Sabrina Ionescu.

WUBBLE ROSTER

Sabrina Ionescu
Kia Nurse
Jazmine Jones
Kiah Stokes
Joyner Holmes
Layshia Clarendon
Jocelyn Willoughby
Amanda Zahui B
Kylee Shook
Megan Walker (has not yet reported)
Leaonna Odom

KEY PLAYERS TO WATCH

Sabrina Ionescu: Truth be told, the California native is a star before she plays a game as a professional basketball player. Ionescu is entering the league as one of the best college players ever, as she became the first men’s or women’s player in NCAA history to reach 2,000 points, 1,000 rebounds, and 1,000 assists in a career. She also holds the record for the most career triple-doubles with 26. The Oregon product is the new face of the franchise and is expected to impact the game right away.

Ionescu is a good facilitator and a good shooter from beyond the arc, averaging 42 percent from three while at Oregon. She is good off the dribble and is excellent in catch and shoot situations.

Kia Nurse: She averaged 13.7 points for New York last season and earned her first WNBA All-Star berth. Last season, Nurse finished as the Liberty’s second-leading scorer behind Charles and ranked sixth in the WNBA in three-pointers made with 65. The third-year guard, along with veteran Layshia Clarendon, is expected to provide guidance for this young team on and off the court.

EXPECTATIONS

Setting high expectations for this season doesn’t seem realistic. With young and less experienced players, observers expect the Liberty to finish at the bottom of the standings. However, the young core could set the organization up for years to come. This season will be a great learning experience, and while that does not necessarily mean wins should be expected, player development is an absolute must.

The Liberty have 16 games scheduled to be televised on national TV, while the reigning WNBA champion Washington Mystics only have eight. While the Liberty are one of the youngest teams in the league with seven rookies, Ionescu brings star power and excitement, although being media darlings may not bode well with the more established players in the league.

It might be a few years before the team’s hard work pays off. This is a game of chess, not checkers. It may be tough in terms of winning, but fans will likely have other things to cheer for and become excited about. This team should be considered one of the better up-and-coming young squads with a bright future.

X-FACTOR

Louisville product Jazmine Jones looks to bring her athleticism and defensive prowess to the WNBA. In her final collegiate season, Jones averaged an impressive 14.1 points, five rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.5 steals per game while shooting a career-high 53 percent from the field and 37 percent from three. She also is a prolific defensive player who was an All-ACC first-team and All-ACC defensive team selection as a senior.

Jones, a 6-foot guard, is an energetic player who has the ability to work on both ends of the floor and will be a compliment to Ionescu.

BIGGEST ON-COURT QUESTION

Will the Liberty live up to the hype? Will Ionescu be able to dominate the WNBA the way she did the NCAA? The young team will be thrown into the fire and have to learn on the fly. Building chemistry and continuity will ultimately help them compete at a high level, whether that’s this year or, more likely, down the road. Their first test is a big one, as the Liberty will kick off play against the Seattle Storm, which will have Sue Bird and Breonna Stewart returning from injury.

Andy Shauf Debuts ‘Judy’ And ‘Jeremy’s Wedding’ As Charming B-Sides Of His Album

Andy Shauf shared his charming record The Neon Skyline at the beginning of the year, the entirety of which details one tumultuous night at a local dive bar. Shauf previously said he wrote upwards of 50 songs for the record before whittling the tracklist down to a more digestible 11. Now, Shauf is opening up his songwriting vault and sharing a pair of songs that didn’t make it to the final record.

Shauf debuted The Neon Skyline B-sides “Judy” and “Jeremy’s Wedding” Thursday. Both songs emanate Shauf’s soft-rock sound, but the singer described them in a statement as “outliers to the narrative” of his record. “They fit a little bit outside the timeline, as I was trying to keep everything to a single night,” he said. “They were also slightly different arrangement wise, so I decided that they might be best released together, apart from the album.”

In an interview with Uproxx, Andy Shauf described how he shifted from writing love songs to penning a concept album:

“I was kind of getting tired of just framing songs around love. I was like, ‘Okay, I’m going to sit down and I’m going to write a song about a guy who gets mugged.’ And that was the first song that I made that was intentionally a story about someone. That was a different kind of rewarding experience, so I just kept digging away at that, and seeing what I could do with stories. Eventually it was like, ‘Oh, you can connect these stories,’ rather than just putting a bunch of one-off stories together. Now, I’m obsessed with doing that.”

Leah Remini Is Beyond Thrilled With Thandie Newton For Speaking Her Mind On Tom Cruise

Thandie Newton’s recent gloves-off interview about working with Tom Cruise (and not being thrilled about the experience) caught the eye of Scientology critic Leah Remini. The Scientology and the Aftermath host comes by her stance on the organization honestly, given that she’s not merely a critic but an ex-Scientologist. She’s also a former second-generation member, who was born into L. Ron Hubbard’s organization, which has been the subject of many allegations of human rights violations over the years.

To briefly recap on the Newton front, the Westworld actress previously spoke with Vulture about being “scared” of Cruise on the set of Mission: Impossible 2. Overall, she considered the experience a “nightmare,” in which she was the main recipient of energy from a “stressed” and “frustrated” Cruise, who she said also gave out Scientology paraphernalia (recruiting materials) as gifts to cast and crew. Overall, it is safe to say that Newton (who did concede that she doesn’t think Cruise is “terrible,” just very intimidating) is happy to have that part of her career in the rear view mirror.

Remini, who spoke at length with The Daily Beast about her distaste for Cruise (and his fronting of Scientology), found satisfaction in seeing Newton speak her mind:

“That takes huge balls to do what she did, and if more people speak out in that way, and be brave enough to do so, I think we might get somewhere. Tom has gotten away with being this ‘nice guy,’ because that’s what Scientology policy says — to create good PR in the world and make those ‘good actions’ known. But if you actually look at his actions, they’re not consistent.”

Remini didn’t stop there. She described how Scientology officials pushed back when she (during her membership) asked why Cruise was “the poster child” for the organization while he was jumping on Oprah’s couch and blasting psychiatry. Remini said that, for her effort, she was reprimanded “because Tom Cruise is considered a messiah in Scientology,” and she counters that Tom’s not “this super-nice guy” like people believe. Remini also calls Cruise “irrelevant,” other than Mission: Impossible, which isn’t true, but it’s clear that the animosity won’t be fading on either side of this issue.

After she broke away from Scientology in 2013, Remini published a bestselling memoir (Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology) and also hosted three seasons of the Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath A&E docuseries, which landed the 2017 Emmy for Outstanding Informational Series or Special. She also recently celebrated the filing rape charges against Danny Masterson while declaring, “This is just the beginning. Scientology, your days of getting away with it is coming to an end!”

Harry Styles And Other One Direction Members Reflect On The Group’s Tenth Anniversary

There have been rumblings that One Direction was planning something to commemorate their tenth anniversary, rumors that were confirmed last week. Sure enough, yesterday, the group made their first post on their Instagram page in four years. Another post went up on the page today teasing the group’s website, where fans can go to “relive [their] favourite One Direction memories.” However, it looks like too many fans visited the site, as it currently features just an error message: “Uh oh… you guys broke the internet (again). Sorry about that! We’re working on a fix as fast as we can – sit tight! #DIRECTIONERSBREAKTHEINTERNET”

Not all is lost, though, as the individual members of the group — Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson, but not Zayn Malik — have shared personal messages looking back on the big anniversary.

Styles wrote on Instagram:

“I’ve been struggling to put into words how grateful I am for everything that’s happened over the last ten years. I’ve seen things and places that I’d only ever dreamt of when I was growing up. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and working with some of the most incredible people, and gained friendships that I know I will treasure for the rest of my life. None of this would be possible without the support you’ve given along the way. And for that, I will be forever thankful.
I just can’t believe it’s been ten years. Thank you to our crew, our team, and everyone else who helped us along the way. To all the fans, I love you, and I thank you with all my heart. You did it all, and you changed everything.
And finally.. to the boys, I love you so much, and I couldn’t be prouder of everything we achieved together. Here’s to ten. H.”

Horan’s post reads:

“when I met these four gents there was no way I thought we would go on to do what we did. So many unbelievable memories we shared together. We felt the adoration of millions from around the planet on a daily basis and it was mind blowing. It’s such a major part of our lives and always will be. Cheers to US today boys and thank you to all you beautiful people who have supported us over the last 10 years. @liampayne @harrystyles @zayn @louist91 #10yearsofonedirection.”

Meanwhile, Payne and Tomlinson penned shorter posts. Payne wrote, “What a journey… I had no idea what we were in for when I sent this text to my Dad ten years ago at this exact time the band was formed. Thanks to everyone that’s supported us over the years and thanks to the boys for sharing this with me #10YearsOfOneDirection.” Tomlinson also wrote, “Our first ever photo together. The memories we’ve shared together have been incredible. Can’t believe its been 10 years already. I look back incredibly proud. Thanks for everything lads and love to you the fans as always x.”

Check out Syles, Horan, Payne, and Tomlinson’s posts below.
