Only Murders In The Building didn’t win either of the two Emmys for which it was nominated this past weekend, but Selena Gomez still had a great time, especially after the ceremony.
After the Emmys, Gomez shared a photo gallery on Instagram, capturing the post, “Grateful for all these people forever and always. Came home to a surprise my baby put together.” Included are photos of her enjoying time with Only Murders In The Building co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short, as well as with fiancé Benny Blanco. There’s also a photo and a video of a swimming pool surrounded by dozens of lit candles. Gomez poses in front of the scene in a “ruched gray Louis Vuitton gown,” as People notes.
Blanco commented on the post, “i win an award every night (you).”
Meanwhile, Gomez recently explained how she and Blanco started dating while working on the 2023 song “Single Soon,” saying, “We spoke for two hours and I asked him to hook me up with anybody that he knew that was cute, and he was like, ‘Oh, we do these things, like, dinner nights. You should come.’ And next thing you know, we’re dating. But, he was terrified in the beginning ’cause he was like, ‘It’s work and it’s complicated and people are going to get mad,’ and I’m like, ‘I don’t give a sh*t, kiss me.’”
Ed Sheeran’s new album Play is out now and he did some celebrating this past weekend. On Saturday the 13th, he and TikTok put on a surprise concert at New York City’s Domino Square.
The ten song performance was intimate, but he drew a large crowd online, with over a million fans tuning in live via TikTok.
At the show, Sheeran also revealed he’s going on a tour of North America soon. He recently spoke about moving to the US but later clarified that it’s a temporary relocation, writing on Instagram (as People notes), “Way easier to clear up stuff on here so here’s me setting record straight, coz there’s deffo a narrative press are trying to push that people wanna move out of UK for some reason. I’m not moving, I’m going on tour with my family and relocating to the continent I’m touring on, don’t wanna commute from London to San Diego obvz. Also this isnt a tax thing, it’s USA not UAE. Il always pay tax in uk coz that’s where I live. Play out Friday go listen to it x.”

Welcome to SNX DLX, your weekly roundup of the best sneakers to hit the internet. This week we have a jam-packed list of dope drops aimed squarely at Nike die-hards. I mean, sure, the other brands are represented; we’re getting treated to a dope Oasis-themed Adidas SPZL, and the return of the Jabbar Lo. But outside of those two Adidas drops, the week belongs to Nike, and what a week it is!
New Dunks, Air Force 1s, a Yu-Gi-Oh-themed Air Max 95 (random, but dope) — it’s a real week of greatest hits from Nike, but the one release that is dropping with the most hype is without a doubt the return of the Jordan 5 Fire Red Black Tongue. We don’t blame you if all of your attention (and hope) is pointed squarely at that one release, but if you aren’t lucky enough to cop a pair, don’t worry, there are a lot of great alternatives out there this week.
Let’s dive into the best sneakers dropping this week.
Is there a ‘90s Brit Pop star that embodies the look of the Adidas SPZL more than Oasis’ Noel Gallagher (you shut your mouth Blur fans)? We don’t think so, so when we found out Gallagher was linking up with Adidas for a new take on the SPZL, we were all-in before we ever saw the sneaker.
Thankfully, the results look great. This is a simple design featuring a leather and textile upper, synthetic lining, a midnight blue colorway, and Noel Gallagher portrait branding on the tongue. Nothing about this sneaker looks out of place, and that’s a testament to how right this collaboration feels.
The Adidas NG Marathon SPZL Night Navy is out now for a retail price of $130. Pick up a pair via the Adidas CONFIRMED app.
Nike Women’s Air Jordan 1 High OG Baroque Brown and Sail
There are a few select colors that just look right with the Jordan 1 design, and one of those colors is brown, which is why this women’s exclusive Jordan 1 is a must cop. Featuring a white leather upper with rich brown overlays, a padded collar, and woven tongue logos, this Jordan 1 is oozing autumnal vibes.
But just because this sneaker looks tailor-made for the fall doesn’t mean it can’t work in every season. At the end of the day, it’s just a fantastic colorway of one of the greatest sneakers of all time. You can’t lose there.
The Nike Women’s Air Jordan 1 High OG Baroque Brown and Sail is out now for a retail price of $185. Pick up a pair via the Nike SNKRS app.
Squeaky clean and ultra fresh — that’s how we’d best describe this muted UNC take on the AF-1. This sneaker sports a white leather upper with icy translucent panels, a blue-tinted outsole, and laser-engraved logos for a futuristic take on this classic design.
It gently nudges the AF-1 into the future, and for that alone, we’re digging it.
The Nike Air Force 1 White and University Blue is out now for a retail price of $130. Pick up a pair via the Nike SNKRS app.
The Dunk Low Black and Pink Rise takes the same futuristic semi-translucent build as the aforementioned AF-1 and applies it to the Dunk. But where the former design was fresh and futuristic, this Dunk feels a lot moodier, with the white leather being swapped for Black contrasted with pink translucent details and a padded collar.
The Nike Dunk Low Black and Pink Rise is out now for a retail price of $135. Pick up a pair via the Nike SNKRS app.
Nike is dropping two alt camo-influenced colorways of the Air Max 95 but we’re going to shout out just one of them — the Court Purple and Wild Grape. This sneaker sports a lightweight synthetic leather upper with mesh details, and ripples adorned with a swirling black, purple, and grape camo print with contrasting silver accents.
The Nike Air Max 95 Court Purple and Wild Grape is out now for a retail price of $200. Pick up a pair via the Nike SNKRS app.
You might be scratching your head as to why the early ‘00s anime Yu-Gi-Oh is getting a themed Air Max 95 and, well we don’t have a good answer for you. 2025 apparently marks the release of the World Championship 2025 rules and events for the Yu-Gi-Oh card game, but we’re going to be honest, we don’t know what that really means, why we should care, or what it has to do with shoes, but hey this pair looks pretty good, so who are we to complain?
Inspired by and named after the character Joey, this Air Max 95 sports a leather upper, scuffed detailing, and a monochromatic blue colorway with neon green accents inspired by Joey’s fit.
The Nike Air Max QS YGO is out now for a retail price of $210. Pick up a pair via the Nike SNKRS app.
First introduced in 1978, the Adidas Jabbar Lo is the first signature basketball sneaker ever. For that alone, its return is exciting, and Adidas is going all out by dropping seven different colorways of this legendary sneaker. But the best colorway — and the most iconic — is this special colorway that takes inspiration from the friendship of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Bruce Lee (a dream blunt rotation if we’ve ever heard one).
The sneaker sports a suede and leather upper with a sockliner portrait of the two pals with a special commemorative box and a colorway inspired by Lee’s famous Game of Death fit.
The Adidas Jabbar Lo Bruce Lee is set to drop on September 13th at 7:00 AM PST for a retail price of $110. Pick up a pair via the Adidas CONFIRMED app.
Originally released 35 years ago, the Fire Red Jordan 5 is one of the greatest colorways of one of the greatest sneakers of all time. Need we say more about this one? It’s classic leather build, that iconic icy outsole, the pops of red and black — it’s a damn work of art. The sort of sneaker that belongs under glass in a museum of sneakers.
Having said that, if you’re lucky enough to cop a pair, wear them until they fall apart! Good shoes like this deserve to be seen on the streets.
The Nike Air Jordan 5 Fire Red Black Tongue is set to drop on September 13th at 7:00 AM PST for a retail price of $215. Pick up a pair via the Nike SNKRS app.
Pack that sunscreen, your favorite swimsuit, a bubble shooter and your preferred flotation device, because Lake Perris California’s Same Same But Different is back, and this time it promises to be more than just another weekend of electronic beats and drops (but it’s going to be that too, so bring those dancing shoes). This year, SSBD is going full sensory overload with a chest-rattling lineup sound tracking a lakeside bash that is one part community, one part chaos, and a whole lot of fun.
This year’s headliners include the LSDREAM and CloZee super duo, LSZEE, as well as Zeds Dead, Dr. Fresch, Coco & Breezy, and takeovers by Bass N Babes, Good Society, Odyzey, and more — and that’s really just scratching the surface. The full lineup is a bouquet of electronic artists, all delivering high-energy drops and world-class bass music with a sunrise set by CloZee.
Same Same But Different
But SSDB is about more than music — explore the festival grounds to experience arts and crafts classes, multiple forms of yoga sessions (including stand-up paddle board style because this is SSDB after all), or brush up on your moves at one of the festival’s many dance programs. SSDB is a playground of wellness, art, community and above all else — music.
SSDB is simply one of the finest experiential festivals happening this year — you’re bound to come away from this one with memories you’ll never forget and a few new skills to impress your friends.
The festival will come to Lake Perris, California, from September 26th to 28th. Buy tickets here, and if you’re still not convinced, these photos from prior years will help you imagine what sort of fun (and good trouble) you can get yourself into.

Summer has faded away, which means festival season is winding down. It’s always sad to see it go, but it’s comforting to remember that while multi-stage weekends will soon have to wait until next year, there’s still a massive roster of stars traveling across the country on their own tours. There are so many acts worth checking out, many of whom are likely hitting a venue somewhere near you. Highlights include old favorites taking the stage for the first time in years, new stars looking to prove themselves out on the road, and everything in between.
We looked through the September touring schedule and spotlighted some of the biggest tours you shouldn’t miss in the coming weeks, so check them out below.
Dua Lipa — Radical Optimism Tour

Recommended venue: Madison Square Garden in New York, New York
Dua Lipa has come a long way since becoming a meme for her early-career stage presence, which some perceived as not being the most dynamic. These days, though, she puts on a hell of a show, and she has continued doing so when her Radical Optimism Tour resumed earlier this month. Between now and October, she’ll be bringing her library of hits everywhere from New York City to Los Angeles, Miami, and Seattle.
Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross tend to focus on their work scoring movies these days, and why wouldn’t they? They’ve won Oscars, Emmys, Golden Globes, and more for their film work, and they remain in demand on that front. Ultimately, they are also Nine Inch Nails, and that’s not a legacy to dismiss. Indeed, the two are currently on their first NIN tour in three years. They’ve snuck a bit of movie magic into the proceedings, too, as they tapped their Challengers collaborator Boys Noize as an opener.
Recommended venue: Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Toronto, Canada
Boundary-pushing indie favorite Ethel Cain is fresh off the release of her latest well-received album, Willoughby Tucker, I’ll Always Love You. The album is a mixed bag, so it’ll be interesting to see how the different tunes will be presented live. Fortunately, Cain recently kicked off a lengthy tour that will keep her in North America through the end of September, followed by overseas dates in October and November.
Here’s your chance to see a guy do a backflip. It’s all he does (per his half-joking admission). Kidding aside, the young star has already proven himself to be an exuberant and charismatic showman, and songs like “Beautiful Things” and “Mystical Magical” have quickly become catchy favorites. Boone’s American Heart World Tour just launched in August, so there are still plenty of opportunities to see him on a stage near you through to October.
Recommended venue: United Center in Chicago, Illinois
You can put Lady Gaga up against any of her contemporaries when it comes to experienced and engaging live performers. Her stage design and theatrics are always top-notch, not to mention she’s touring in support of Mayhem, her 2025 album featuring hits like “Die With A Smile” and “Abracadabra.” There’s a lot to love here and a few opportunities to love it, as Gaga still has a handful of North American dates scheduled through September.
In October, Little Simz will co-star in a new movie on Netflix called Steve alongside Cillian Murphy. The film, which is based on Max Porter’s bestselling novel Shy, follows the head teacher at a financially strapped reform school in the mid-90s. The cast also features Tracey Ullman, Jay Lycurgo, and Emily Watson, and it looks like a thoroughly wringing emotional experience.
Simz does her damnedest to capture that experience in her new song “Don’t Leave Too Soon,” which will appear on the movie’s soundtrack. Built around an atmospheric, moody drum&bass loop, the song — which was co-written with Miles Clinton James and Matthew Nelson — reflects the spirit of the film’s tense battles with mental health, and the sound of the score, which was composed by Portishead’s Geoff Barrow and Ben Salisbury.
The video captures clips from the film, which include some hyperrealistic scenes highlighting the stress the students — and their teacher — feel throughout, culminating in a disorienting camera rotation that feels like the world turning upside down. This includes Simz performing in an auditorium where the floor suddenly becomes the ceiling.

If you were asked to put together two of the coolest rappers currently making music today for a collaboration, you’d be hard-pressed to come up with a combo that fits the bill better than Luh Tyler and Larry June. The cross-coastal dynamic duo teamed up for their new single, “Young Player,” and it’s an immaculate display of chemistry perfect for cruising with the top down and a fresh fit.
The beat, produced by 614ASE and mixed by none other than Don Cannon, features all the hallmarks of a Larry June staple, with a whistling synth, laid-back drums, and plenty of space to let the two laconic lyricists get off their casually conceited rhymes. While it’s not two big of a step outside either artist’s comfort zone (although, admittedly, they both seem like they’d be comfortable wherever they were), it’s also an interesting evolution for both, as well, as Tyler drops one of his most developed and mature-sounding songs yet, while Larry potentially expands his reach to the under-30 crowd (sorry Larry, but we both know it’s grown man rap).
Tyler is four months removed from releasing his mixtape Florida Boy, which saw the 19-year-old grow in confidence, experience, and polish since his debut in 2023. Meanwhile, June is fresh from teaming up with The Alchemist and 2 Chainz for Life Is Beautiful.
You can watch Luh Tyler and Larry June’s “Young Player” video above.
Sometimes, you gotta post a song because of who is featured on it, and this is one of those cases. Sure, Cash Cobain is the pioneer of the “slizzy” sound, “sexy drill,” and one of New York’s most celebrated up-and-coming artists. But I’m posting this one for BunnaB, whose name has started cropping up in a lot of fun places recently, and who my sources tell me might just be the next carefree rap girly to become a household name.
The Atlanta rapper has been building a buzz on TikTok by sharing her daily life updates, and her songs “Eat it Up,” “Tip Toes,” and “Bunna Summa” have been garnering plenty of attention on streaming. That attention has translated into placements on Metro Boomin’s new mixtape A Futuristic Summa (on the songs “My Lil Sh*t” and “Take Me Thru Dere,” the latter of which notably features ATL pillar Quavo), a Lizzo remix of “Bunna Summa,” and a collab with YKNiece, who appeared on the ratchet song of the summer, “Whim Whamiee,” with Pluto. As the most prolific of the three, BunnaB has the best chance to stick — it’s just a matter of getting that next hit. She’s already released her debut mixtape, Ice Cream Summer, in April, with a deluxe in June, and is just getting started.
As a bonus, here’s her latest single, “Eatcha Beatcha.” You hear it too, right? She’s a STAR.
You can watch the video for Cash Cobain’s “Hoes Be Mad” with BunnaB above.
Following the release of her 2023 album Lo Que No Te Dije, Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Gale is prepping a new project. Not many concrete details have been shared yet, but today (September 12), we do have a new single, along with a video. The song is “Ciao!” and the dance-ready track was inspired by ’80s pop hits.
“Ciao! is about stepping out of the gray area with someone, putting down the ultimatum and saying: either you decide now… or ciao! Sonically it’s my synth-pop throwback anthem, made to dance, let go, and show off all your weird moves. It’s fun and sexy, but also unapologetically direct. […]
Shooting the video was so much fun… I wanted it to feel irreverent, dramatic, and playful, just like the song. The visualizer was a one take, which I loved doing, and this time we’re doing something different: creating mini music videos to go along with it. I can’t wait to share this song with the world!”
In a recent interview with W Journal, Gale also said, “I make the music I would like to hear today in Spanish. I feel like there’s room for everything right now, and I’m enjoying that.”
The title of Gale’s next album hasn’t yet been revealed, but she told W Journal that the project is full of “strength” and “energy,” adding, “It has a little more urgency. There’s action. It excites me a lot.”
Watch the “Ciao!” video above.
