Coachella Taps Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, And Karol G To Headline The 2026 Festival Lineup

Over the past few days, it was rumored that Sabrina Carpenter and Karol G were headlining Coachella in 2026, but it was not confirmed. Well, it is now: Festival organizers shared the lineup today (September 16), and indeed, Carpenter and Karol are headlining, as is Justin Bieber, while Anyma is slotted for a special performance.

Some of the most notable other artists on the bill include The xx making their big comeback after years away and Nine Inch Noize, which is presumably a collaboration between Nine Inch Nails and collaborator Boys Noize (especially since he appears on the lineup by himself, too).

Also on the poster are Disclosure, Turnstile, Ethel Cain, Dijon, Teddy Swims, The Strokes, Givēon, Addison Rae, Labrinth, Sombr, David Byrne, Interpol, Alex G, Young Thug, Kaskade, BigBang, Laufey, Major Lazer, Iggy Pop, FKA Twigs, Wet Leg, Clipse, Devo, Sexyy Red, Central Cee, Blood Orange, Moby, Lykke Li, Joyce Manor, Slayyyter, Wednesday, Swae Lee, PinkPantheress, Royel Otis, Davido, Geese, Bedouin, Blondshell, Little Simz, Armin van Buuren, Holly Humberstone, Black Flag, Röyksopp, Model/Actriz, Jane Remover, Samia, and others.

The dates for the festival were announced previously: April 10 to 12 for the first weekend and April 17 to 19 for the second. Advance tickets went on sale earlier this year, but fans can sign up (here) to register for passes going on sale starting September 19 at 11 a.m. PT.

Destroy Lonely Announces The Release Date For His New Project, ‘Broken Hearts 3’

It’s been a fairly big year for Playboi Carti’s Opium collective, as the label saw new releases from all of its principal members but one. In April, Ken Carson released More Chaos, which wound up becoming his first Billboard No.1. Last month, Homixide Gang dropped Homixide Lifestyle 2, and of course, in between, Carti put out the long-awaited Music, which also topped the albums chart the week of its release.

The last remaining member to put out a project this year will be Destroy Lonely, who just announced the release date for Broken Hearts 3. Stylized as the unpronounceable 3, the project is scheduled to drop this Friday, September 19th. Accompanying the announcement, Destroy Lonely also released the video for the project’s single, “Jumanji,” which you can watch above. The video captures a hedonistic night out for the Atlanta native, which includes stacks of cash, finger-length blunts, and of course, scantily clad women.

In addition to its core four acts all dropping albums this year, Opium is also finally embarking on its long-awaited Antagonist Tour, whose new dates were announced after the tour was postponed in 2023.

You can watch the video for Destroy Lonely’s new single “Jumanji” above.

Broken Hearts 3 is due on 9/19 via Opium/Interscope. You can find more info here.

Thundercat And Remi Wolf Are ‘Children Of The Baked Potato’ In Their Tribute To An LA Jazz Fixture

Neil Krug

You know who we haven’t heard from much in the past couple of years? Thundercat. The experimental musician has popped up occasionally to offer support to some of his fellow genre-benders like Channel Tres and NxWorries last year, but aside from those songs, ‘Cat’s been relatively quiet lately. Today, though, he makes a triumphant return with two new songs: “I Wish I Didn’t Waste Your Time” and “Children Of The Baked Potato” with Remi Wolf.

“Children Of The Baked Potato” is a frenetic ode to one of the fixtures of the Los Angeles jazz scene, The Baked Potato Jazz Club. Jokingly called “LA’s weirdest music venue,” the Studio City bar has been serving up both the titular dish and legendary performances for the past 50 years. It’s the oldest continuously running venue in Los Angeles County. Listen to it here:

Thundercat explained the quirky title of the song and its connection to his unique collaborator in a press release, saying, “[Remi’s] a child of the Baked Potato like me. She knew exactly what the song needed. And it was wild to watch her make it happen. The more I listen to the song, it’s clear there was no one better I could have picked.” It’s a wonky, blissed-out jazz fusion science experiment, as befits the sort of players who’ve taken the stage at the legendary venue.

Meanwhile, “I Wish I Didn’t Waste Your Time” is a more wisftul, introspective jam, putting Thundercat in a reminiscent mood. In his signature falsetto, he expresses regrets over the dissolution of a relationship. You can check it out below. Meanwhile, you can check out the dates for Thundercat’s 2025 tour here.

All The Best New Music From This Week That You Need To Hear

bnm
Conor Cunningham/Gorillaz/Getty Image/Derrick Rossignol

Keeping up with new music can be exhausting, even impossible. From the weekly album releases to standalone singles dropping on a daily basis, the amount of music is so vast it’s easy for something to slip through the cracks. Even following along with the Uproxx recommendations on a daily basis can be a lot to ask, so every Monday we’re offering up this rundown of the best new music this week.

This week saw Ed Sheeran drop what’s sure to be another hit album and King Princess unveil an anticipated LP of her own. Yeah, it was a great week for new music. Check out the highlights below.

For more music recommendations, check out our Listen To This section, as well as our Indie Mixtape newsletter.

Ed Sheeran — “Camera”

Alongside the release of his new album Play, he shared a video for the touching single “Camera.” The original version featured moments of Sheeran with his wife, but he decided to keep those moments as theirs and instead re-shoot them with Bridgerton‘s Phoebe Dynevor.

King Princess — “Say What You Will” Feat. Joe Talbot

Mikaela Straus has been busy on the show Nine Perfect Strangers lately, but she also found time to drop a new King Princess album, Girl Violence, last week. The project is mostly just Straus on her own, but she does have a feature from Idles’ Joe Talbot on “Say What You Will.”

Gorillaz — “The Happy Dictator” Feat. Sparks

Earlier this month, at a mysterious concert, Gorillaz went ahead and debuted an entire new album. Now, they’ve officially announced the project, dubbed The Mountain, and shared the synthy Sparks-featuring single “The Happy Dictator.”

Militarie Gun — “Throw Me Away”

2023’s Life Under The Gun took Militarie Gun to a new level and now they’re prepping their sophomore release, God Save The Gun. They continued to tease it last week with the catchy and melodic rocker “Throw Me Away.”

Sudan Archives — “Come And Find You”

Following her 2022 album Natural Brown Prom Queen, Sudan Archives is preparing to release her third LP, The BPM. She continues to explore new sonic frontiers with the project, like a blend of Afropop, electronic, and jazz music on “Come And Find You.”

Kali Uchis and Ravyn Lenae — “Cry About It!”

Uchis’ album from earlier this year, Sincerely,, is getting a deluxe edition, Uchis revealed last week. The first listen at Sincerely: P.S., as it’s called, is the decidedly doo-wop inspired “Cry About It!” alongside Ravyn Lenae.

Djo — “Mr. Mountebank”

We got The Crux from Djo (Joe Keery) earlier this year, but recently, he already started teasing new music. It turns out he had The Crux Deluxe ready to go and it’s out now. Despite the title, it’s less of a deluxe reissue and more of a new album, as it features 12 fresh tracks.

TiaCorine — “Backyard” Feat. JID

TiaCorine and JID are two of rap’s most exciting rising stars at the moment, so them linking up last week was a treat. TiaCorine’s upcoming album Corinian includes the menacing JID collab “Backyard.”

Rapsody and Madlib — “Daddy’s Girl”

Rapsody had one of 2024’s best rap albums with Please Don’t Cry, and last week, she teamed up with Madlib for a cool contribution here in 2025. The EP is called MadRaps and it’s a quick listen, featuring just two jazzy tracks: “Daddy’s Girl” and “Avon Thru The Wire.”

Drake — “Dog House” Feat. Julia Wolf and Yeat

On a livestream earlier this month, Drake dropped some previews of new music, including a collaboration with Yeat. Well, that song is out now: “Dog House,” which also features Julia Wolf on the gentler intro, leading into Drake’s more high-energy verse.

‘The Lowdown’: Everything To Know About ‘Reservation Dogs’ Creator Sterlin Harjo’s New Series With Ethan Hawke

The Lowdown top
YouTube

Filmmaker Sterlin Harjo had a widely acclaimed hit on his hands with Reservation Dogs, which ran for three seasons on FX from 2021 to 2023. Then, he set his sights on The Sensitive Kind, which is set to premiere soon, also on FX, and which has since been renamed to The Lowdown.

While Reservation Dogs was led by a cast of actors who were previously relatively unknown, The Lowdown has some star power with Ethan Hawke in the lead role. The strong cast is rounded out by Tim Blake Nelson, Kyle MacLachlan, Keith David, and others.

Ahead of the show’s release, keep reading for everything you need to know before it arrives.

Plot

The logline reads, “FX’s The Lowdown from Creator Sterlin Harjo and starring Executive Producer Ethan Hawke, follows the gritty exploits of citizen journalist ‘Lee Raybon’ (Hawke), a self-proclaimed Tulsa ‘truthstorian’ whose obsession with the truth is always getting him into trouble. When the publication of Lee’s latest exposé — a deep dive into the powerful Washberg family – is immediately followed by the suspicious suicide of ‘Dale Washberg’ (Tim Blake Nelson), Lee knows he’s stumbled onto something big.”

told the Los Angeles Times, “Rez Dogs was my love letter to rural Oklahoma and where I grew up. The Lowdown is my love letter to Tulsa, where I currently live. You see the beauty and the darkness. You see everything.”

He added, “There’s the art of the hang, where the genre is people hanging out. Look at Rez Dogs or Dazed And Confused. There’s an art to hanging and being with characters, and it feels OK to just sit there with them. I think The Lowdown has a good balance of that, where you could just hang with [Raybon] on his block. But there’s also this unfolding story so things never get boring.”

Cast

The show stars Ethan Hawke, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Kaniehtiio Horn, Tim Blake Nelson, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Kyle MacLachlan, Keith David, Killer Mike, and Graham Greene.

Greene died earlier this month, after filming the season, at 73 years old. Hawke paid tribute to him on Instagram, writing:

“I had the pleasure of working with Graham Greene earlier this year. His career is legendary: Dances with Wolves, Thunder Heart, Reservation Dogs, to name a few. He has always possessed extraordinary grace, wisdom, wit, & depth.

Working with him was shockingly fun. He improvised brilliantly and infused every moment with spontaneity & humor. I even got to break bread with him- and share some fries.
I am shocked to hear of his passing. Blessed travels, friend.”

Release Date

The first two episodes are set to debut on Tuesday, September 23 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on FX. The season has eight episodes and new ones will debut on Tuesdays at the same time. Episodes will stream on Hulu the next day.

Fred Again.. Performed Live From An Italian Fan’s Roof And Shared The Full Video

Fred Again.. just gave a fan an unforgettable moment. Fred performed in Naples, Italy this past weekend, and immediately after the show, he put on another show, on the fan’s rooftop, which overlooks the venue of the first concert.

Fred shared the full rooftop performance on YouTube yesterday (September 14), too. It starts with the end of the first concert, after which Fred rushes, literally runs, to the fan’s building. There, they meet as Fred makes his way to the rooftop and puts on another performance as the crowd on the ground behind him clears out.

Fred explained the situation in the video description, writing:

“After a show i never quite know what to do. like you go from being filled with the most adreneline ever, to suddenly being like alone or basically alone. Often I just play songs im working on and jam on my keyboard to try ideas out to try n calm down and stuff, cos i cant really be social often.

So when i saw fedde commenting on a post that he had a rooftop that overlooked the show i thought wow this could be like my dream afters. Just going straight up there and get to play songs on my ones and still get to see and feel the energy of the show as everyone leaves!

I played this whole set just to fedde and the beautiful nonna who also lives in this building. It was a lovely sight to look up occasionally and see them both there. Him dancing her sitting. Me a bit of both.

thankyou to Fede.”

Cardi B’s Daughter Kulture Trolled Her Latest Effort To Promote ‘Am I The Drama?’

With her long-awaited second studio album Am I The Drama? coming this Friday, September 19, Cardi B has stepped up her efforts to promote it in the wake of the video for “Imaginary Playerz.” Many of these efforts, like pitching multiple album covers based on her viral courtroom appearances and going on an in-store signing tour, have been well-received by most, but garnered one really important critic: Cardi’s daughter, Kulture.

The now-seven-year-old couldn’t help but troll her mom in her latest social video plugging the album. While on a livestream talking about the album’s impending release in her car, Cardi was put off when Kulture chimed in from the backseat, “Oh, don’t get her album,” with a chuckle. “What you mean don’t get my album, girl?” Cardi replied. “Then you ain’t gonna be able to buy sh*t. We’re gonna live in the hood!”

She then listed all the luxuries her kids enjoy, promising they would all go out the window if the album flopped. “No more Roblox coin, no more Apple, no more Target… you gonna be eating rice and beans every g*d damn day!” Returning her attention to the fans on the stream, Cardi ended the hilarious clip with a promise to announce “something every day until my album.” So, look forward to that, and if you’re Team Cardi over Team Kulture here, you can find out more about Am I The Drama? here.
